Text a Message!Riding Instructor Interview Series Continues!Enjoy this interview with Katie Boniface!Katie Boniface, a passionate horsewoman based in Queensland, Australia. With over 30 years of riding experience and 18 years as an instructor, Katie brings a wealth of knowledge and heart to her work. After a successful run in dressage, show jumping, and eventing at the state level, she shifted her focus from competition to connection. Through her riding school, Equestrian Spirit, Katie helps riders build deeper, more meaningful partnerships with their horses—grounded in trust, biomechanics, and mutual respect. Her mission is to guide riders in seeing their horses as equals and companions on a journey of growth and self-discovery.Here's the free webinar mentioned: https://www.equestrianspirit.com.au/sayyesFrom Katie:"I have been a horse rider for 30 years and a riding instructor for 18 finding my passion as a teacher in a riding school environment. From childhood through to my early 20's I competed successfully at shows, dressage, show jumping and eventing at state level. Having gotten my trophy and ribbon riding out of me when I was young riding became a spiritual practice for me, developing my connection to my self and others on a deeper level. What occurred to me is that you can't have a meaningful relationship with someone that doesn't want to be with you so I set about looking for ways to get my horse to enjoy being around me. At the same time I was also working with a couple of horses with soundness issues. Having being told that a horse would work soundly if you work it correctly I dug into the physiology of horse movement and how we as riders and trainers can best work our horses not only for soundness but also for suppleness, maximum range of movement and dare I say to look like they actually enjoyed being ridden!!And so triggered a profound reassessment of everything I had ever learnt to date about what it meant to be a horse rider, how I was riding and what my goal was from my training. I discovered the importance of the horses mental, emotional and physical health to not only its performance and success but also to its willingness as a participant in our partnership. And I learnt what it meant to have a true connection with the horse and an open 2 way conversation. It is my goal and mission in life to share these values with as many horse riders as I can so we can start to see our beautiful horses as equals, partners and part of our own life's journey to better understand ourselves through better understanding others."For more info, kindly visit:https://www.equestrianspirit.com.au/FB: https://www.facebook.com/katiebonifaceequestrianIG: https://www.instagram.com/equestrianspiritaustralia/~~~~~~~~~~Thanks so much for listening!  Please write a review if you're inspired! For Riding Instructors, please visit this support page: https://www.inspiredriding.com/support-for-riding-instructors

Riding instructors, please take the time to listen to this interview and consider joining this brilliant program: PAL Around Pony SchoolHere's Shelley's Bio:Shelley Manley has been riding horses for close to 40 years and teaching young riders for over thirty years.  She started teaching riding lessons at the age of 15 and just never stopped! She also has a B.S and M.A in Psychology, and an M.Ed. in School Counseling.  She has worked as the riding director at a residential children's home and as a riding instructor at multiple facilities.  She has also worked as a School Counselor for eleven years at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She lives in Shepherdstown, WV with her 2 kids, 5 cats, 1 great pyrenees, 1 bearded dragon, and 1 retired pony!Ride From the Start LLC and the PAL Around Pony School program began in 2012, when Shelley had many parents of young children requesting horseback riding lessons. This often proved a challenging endeavor, as her tiniest riders would quickly grow bored when riding and were not able to sustain attention on the pony beyond a few minutes at a time.  While studying to become a school counselor, Shelley was also learning how to develop a curriculum and write lesson plans. She was studying child development in depth and pondering how to create a more age-appropriate means of introducing young children to horses. She decided to use her newfound skills to create a program that combined elements of fun hands-on learning, stories, songs, games, and horseback riding. In March of 2012, she held her first class, offering it to a group of friends and their children.  Since the students were eager to continue the program, she recognized a need to continue developing the lesson plans, and the PAL Around Pony School curriculum began to take shape. It has evolved over the past thirteen years, as a result of customer feedback.  The program has operated at six different locations across the Eastern panhandle and in the nearby states of Virginia and Maryland, all with consistent success. Hundreds of area children have now enjoyed PAL Around Pony School, and many of those children have continued into regular riding lessons. Other instructors have also taught the program successfully, and it is time to bring this important program to instructors across the country. Please click here to follow Ride from the Start on Facebook. And for more info, kindly visit the PAL Around Pony School website here: www.ponyschool.net~~~~~~~~~~Thanks so much for listening!  Please write a review if you're inspired!

I can't wait to you to listen! PLEASE click here for the fundraiser page and the full story. Here's what Damion wrote:"Hi, I'm Damion, and this is Sampson or as we call him Sammi. Sammi saved me, and I need your help to save him. With your support we will make a documentary, not only about his treatment, but the immense effects these fascinating creatures have, and have had, upon humanity, and how we can be better custodians for them.So how did we get here? Three years ago I was in the midst of a very challenging assignment. The beginning was creatively and financially rewarding, but as time went on the challenges began to outweigh the creative output, it started to take its toll on my mental health. My wife, a lifelong equestrian, saw this and started what can only be called a quest. Seven months of daily searches, trying to find the perfect companion for me, something large enough to carry me without difficulty but also engaging enough to form a bond... And she succeeded beyond anyone's wildest imagining.Sammi saved me.The things I learned about myself and the methods I developed to be a good companion for him also served me. and I was able to better navigate the demands put upon me. For two years our bond flourished and grew. Things were good and getting better. But entertainment is a fickle business and circumstances rapidly and dramatically shifted. My efforts to ride out the reduced opportunities were only successful with familial support, then things took an even worse turn.Sammi fell ill.Sammi was diagnosed by two different vets with PSSM1 and DSLD. Now there are treatments available that can potentially help however they are not certain and quickly become costly. And so I come to you. Now one thing I try to be very aware of when I reach out, is what do I offer when I ask, and this is a pretty big ask so I wanted to figure out a pretty big offer.I have been in the entertainment business for 25 years and worked on a wide variety of projects at all levels. What that gives me is access to everyone I need to put together an amazing documentary series, not only about Sammi's recovery, But the importance and influence these majestic beings have had on humanity as a whole. In just the time since I began working on this the amount of things I have uncovered about their influence is staggering. They are so universal to human advancement, the very unit by which we measure mechanical energy is called Horsepower.Horsepower; and we start with Saving Sampson. Thank you.You are allowing me to honor a gift I can never repay. And to show a being of pure love how much he is appreciated. Now this project is evolving, and the scope is very dependent on the response, so you are going to want to check the socials often to see what we are building to.Thank you so much for joining me as we saddle up, Together we are Saving Sammi."~~~~~~~~~~Thanks for listening!  Please write a review if you're inspired!

This was a fantastic interview with Ingrid. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! -BethIngrid Henry of Harmonious Equestrian Connection is an Equine Partnership Coach, helping horses and their humans connect and form trusting, loving relationships. From Ingrid:"I am a seeker of the beauty of harmony between two beings. I am a lifelong student, seeking wisdom and connection through open and authentic communication, cultivating a listening heart and mind.Horses are majestic, intuitive, powerful beings. They mirror those around them and, through this, have so much to teach us about life, love, and ourselves in relation to it all.All of my life I have been drawn to horses and to connection with animals. With a background in Psychology, I seek to understand people, in all of our complexity and our brokenness. I yearn for healing for us all, horses and humans alike. That journey has opened my eyes to a new level of self-awareness and the power of intuition and energy. As prey and herd animals, horses are keenly aware of the energy, intentions, and emotions of those around them. In order to be the people they need us to be so that they can be safe with us, we are challenged to learn and grow, to heal. As their caretakers, we must learn to listen to their needs, and not just their physical ones but their mental and emotional needs as well. Once we open our eyes and our hearts, we can find attunement and true connection."Get in touch with Ingrid:Email: ingridkhenry@gmail.comFB page: https://www.facebook.com/harmoniousequestrianPodcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5CeVafeNh1CQHdLO74rLgy?si=9055d34f1de84ce3Thanks for listening!
