LET'S TALK ABOUT JUDGY CHRISTIANS! Some try to correct people from a well-meaning place, while others are just downright bullies and don't truly care about the HEART of a person. Today, I'm sharing three examples of witnessing others being judged, my experience being judged, and the recovery from being a judgy Christian myself. Let's learn together through the Word of God how best to help non-Christians, new Christians, and even the "Seasoned Saints" grow closer to God instead of running away from Him. Ready? Let's dive in! Contentment was the missing puzzle piece!! In Philippians 4:10-13, Paul writes about knowing how to live a life of contentment in any circumstance. However, what does that practically look like for a modern-day woman? Today, I'm sharing my journey to a lifestyle of contentment using three real-life examples as a stay-at-home mom/homemaker, business owner, and ministry wife. Whether or not you can relate to my personal examples, I pray you'll be able to take away gems that can be applied to your own life. Once God started to transform my mind and my heart, I discovered that contentment was the missing puzzle piece to the life I desperately wanted and needed - a life of peace, restoration, and authentic joy! Although it's not a surprise that many women struggle with self-confidence, it is surprising how many Christian women deal with the same battles regularly. We know we should find our validation and confidence in God, yet so many of us (whether we openly admit it or not) are challenged with low self-confidence. Why is that!? Well, Sis, let's talk about it! In today's episode, Desiraé lists four common reasons why Christian women struggle with confidence and what we can do about it - practically and spiritually. HEY SIS!! My name is Desiraé Ofori, and I'm a wife, mother, Artist/Owner of DeKelis Art Studio, and Content Creator. Christian women with platforms, businesses, and positions of influence, this episode is for you! The phrase "stop being ambiguous" has been playing in my mind and heart for the last few weeks, and once I finally looked up the definition of the word ambiguous, it was suddenly clear why. This is an issue I've struggled with over the past several years in my business, blog, this podcast, and especially social media. Today, I'm reading you a journal entry from last week where God spoke loud and clear about what I and other Christian women need to stop and start doing. Her Bold Faith is more than a trendy phrase, it's a command and declaration. There's a woman out there who is waiting on what God has placed in you and to hear what God is working through you. HEY SIS!! My name is Desiraé Ofori, and I'm a married, stay-at-home mom of two, plus a full-time abstract artist. I make content about being a wife, mom, entrepreneur, mental health awareness, and Her Bold Faith! My mission is to inspire Christian women to embrace a lifestyle of confidence and bold faith, #herboldfaith regardless of what season of life they're in. Today I'm sharing some of the revelations God has been giving me when it comes to running my business, online platforms, and social media presence. The biggest lesson I've learned this month, which has propelled me forward with everything else, is to do what God told me to do the first time. Life, business, marriage, motherhood, and everything else are so much sweeter in God's way, instead of in our own. Put down the idol of social media, self-idolization, and self-serving behaviors that lead you further away from God's plan for your life. Instead, learn to lean into servant leadership in God's way. We are called to serve, as He leads. Every way that He leads us, is for our good, surpassing everything we could ever dream of or imagine for ourselves. It's one thing to say you trust God, but it's a whole different thing when you have to show up and trust with action! Today special guest Chantalle Adamson of De'Zauree Beauty breaks it down on what it looks like to trust God with action in spite of internal and external pushback to choose the opposite of what God is leading you to do. In this episode we talk about: 1. Trust versus her fear of pregnancy and birth. 2. Identity Issues and seeing yourself the way God sees you. 3. Overcoming strong family expectations (including growing up in a Caribbean household). 4. Allowing yourself to release numbness and feel the pain to heal from your past. 5. Discovering the values rooted in your flaws. And so much more! Timestamps: 5:29 Introduction and Background. 11:02 start of Interview. 1:02:28 Closing remarks from Chantalle Adamson and Desiraé Ofori. I've been on a journey this year to be more intentional, disciplined, and obedient to what God reveals to me. The past 7 weeks I've been focused on being more intentional and disciplined about my soul care and weekly sabbath. The benefits of taking care of my soul and honoring the sabbath have been more than I could ever imagine and exactly what I've needed for years! In today's episode I'll teach you how to be more intentional and get the most out of your soul-care routine - daily, weekly, and even within your finances. Also, you'll learn how to prioritize quality over quantity with your routines for a genuine lifestyle change. I know that at least one of you reading or listening will be able to relate to me. I also believe you will be inspired to start re-investing in yourself through soul-care and honoring the sabbath (whichever day of the week you choose). This isn't a selfish act of care, it's selfless. Taking care of your soul will positively affect your quality and ability to show up for those you care for, love, and serve in your daily life - including you.
