PEACEFUL MIND PODCAST — EPISODE 331 Motherhood with Fibromyalgia: Finding Strength in Chronic Illness Danielle is joined by her coaching client Allie, a mom who has been living with fibromyalgia for over 13 years. What started as a physical fall led to a diagnosis that quietly reshaped everything about the way Allie mothered, moved through the world, and thought about herself. In this honest, unhurried conversation, Allie shares what it was really like — the guilt, the grief, the invisible struggle of looking fine while feeling anything but — and what changed when she stopped fighting her limitations and started working with them. If you are navigating a chronic illness, a health challenge, or any season that has forced you to let go of the mom you thought you were going to be, this episode will make you feel deeply seen. And if you're not, Allie's story carries wisdom that applies to any woman who has had to rebuild her expectations and find a new kind of strength. In This Episode You'll Learn: What fibromyalgia actually is — and why it's called an invisible illness How Allie shifted from surviving to thriving as a mom with a chronic condition The lies she believed about herself early on — and what she knows now that she wishes she had known then What her daughter, now 23, says about growing up with a mom who had to do things differently Why life coaching — not chronic illness coaching — became the turning point in her journey What Allie would say to a mom who has just been diagnosed with something and is grieving the life she thought she would have Get full show notes, transcript, and more information here Related Episodes If this topic resonated with you, these episodes may also help: #233 — Self-Compassion: The Key to a Peaceful Mind #266 — How to Handle Anything: A 3-Step Formula #246 — How to Free Yourself From Unmet Expectations: The Manual Edition

Maybe it was today. Maybe it's something that happens so often you've stopped noticing. In this episode, Danielle gets to the root of something that holds so many moms back — not by offering a pep talk, but by helping you actually understand what's happening in your brain when the fear of judgment kicks in. Once you see it clearly, something shifts. The fear of judgment isn't really about other people. It's about how your brain works. And once you understand that, you can stop letting it run your life. In This Episode You'll Learn: Why your brain is wired to judge — and why everyone else's brain is too, and what that means for you Why there is literally no way to live that avoids judgment completely — and the question to ask instead How other people's judgments are more about them than they are about you Five practical steps to start breaking free from the fear of judgment for good How to give yourself the approval you've been looking for from others Get full show notes, transcript, and more information here Related Episodes If this topic resonated with you, these episodes may also help: #322 — Whose Life Are You Living? #247 — Hidden Costs to People-Pleasing: A Catholic Mom's Guide to Authentic Living #228 — How to Let Go of What Other People Think

PEACEFUL MIND PODCAST — EPISODE 329 The Price of Peace A 90-year-old monk said it simply: if it costs you your peace, it's too expensive. In this episode, Danielle unpacks what that means for the way you're actually living your life right now. We're good at calculating costs in dollars and time. We know what groceries cost, how long school pickup takes, what a family vacation will run us. But most of us have never once stopped to calculate the cost of our choices in terms of peace — and Danielle believes that's one of the most important things we're missing. If there are areas of your life that feel tight, heavy, or quietly draining, this episode will give you a new lens for looking at them. Not to overhaul everything, but to start asking a better question before you say yes to the next thing. In This Episode You'll Learn: Why peace might be the most expensive currency you have — and why we forget to calculate its cost How to recognize the physical and emotional signals your body sends when your peace is being compromised The difference between guilt and conviction — and why knowing the difference protects your peace Practical phrases to use when you need time to evaluate before saying yes Why protecting your peace isn't selfish — it's the foundation from which you love your family and live your purpose Get full show notes, transcript, and more information here Related Episodes If this topic resonated with you, these episodes may also help: #323 — Missing Ingredient to Your Peace #304 — Mastering The Art of Saying No Without Guilt #289 — How to Have a Softer Way of Life

You've probably heard it your whole life: God created the world in six days, and on the seventh he rested. You believe it. You maybe even honoring it by going to Mass on Sundays. In this episode, Danielle names two of the most common patterns that keep moms emotionally exhausted: blaming others for how you feel, and over-functioning for the people around you. Neither one feels like a problem at first — they can even feel like love. But both quietly steal your emotional freedom. The good news? You can quit them. And this episode will show you how. Greatest Example of Unhurried Life What if the rushing you feel every day is not actually necessary? That might be hard to believe when you're navigating school drop-offs, deadlines, dinner, and the endless mental load of motherhood. But what if the constant sense of urgency you carry isn't a requirement of your life — it's a belief you've accepted without questioning it? In this episode, Danielle turns to the greatest example of an unhurried life: Jesus. He had the weight of salvation on his shoulders, crowds constantly seeking him out, and endless demands for healing and teaching — and he was never in a hurry. He moved with calm, presence, and what Matthew Kelly beautifully calls "a holy sense of haste." This episode will shift how you see the rush inside you — and invite you toward a different way of moving through your days, one grounded in God's rhythm rather than the world's urgency. In this episode, Danielle introduces the concept of margin — the gap between your load and your limit — and explains why living without it is like loading a truck past its safe capacity and expecting it to hold when a storm hits. How I Lost 20 lbs. at Age 50 At 49, I felt something shift. My dad had passed. My kids were growing up and heading off to college. I was inching closer to 50, and I started to wonder: What if I gave myself the gift of health for this birthday milestone - not through pressure or hustle, but through care and consistency? In this episode, I'm not handing you a formula or a list of rules. Instead, I want to share what really happened - what I learned, what shifted, and what it looked like to change in small, 10% ways that actually felt doable. I'll share How I moved from "just interested" to truly committed Why small, consistent actions (like 10 minutes of movement) made the biggest difference What changed in my mindset, and why it mattered more than any meal plan How I lost 20 pounds and gained energy, confidence and peace The powerful role community, coaching, and support played along the way By the end, I hope you'll see what I now know for sure: You don't need a huge overhaul to change your health. You just need one doable step. One new thought. One shift in belief. The Secret To Consistent Inner Peace There's a difference between having moments of peace, and living from a place of peace. And as moms, I know how often it feels like peace is just out of reach. Like maybe if the house was cleaner, or the kids were calmer, or if you could just get ahead on laundry...then maybe you'd finally feel it. But here's what I've learned: peace doesn't come from perfect conditions. It's something you can create even in the swirl of life. In today's episode, I'm sharing three guiding pillars that help me (and so many of my clients) experience real, lasting peace - right now. I'll share Why peace isn't the absence of chaos A mindset shift that helps you let go of control without feeling like you're giving up What it actually looks like to be present (especially when your brain wants to race ahead) A better way to deal with mom guilt Tools you can use anytime you need to reset and come back to peace Peace isn't waiting for you at the end of a perfect day. It's something you can tap into right now. Start with one tool from this episode, practice it in a moment that feels hard, and then notice what changes. You don't have to escape your life to find peace. You can create it, right in middle of it. I'll tell you how. If you liked this episode, here are some others you might enjoy: 7. Radical Responsibility For Your Peace (And Why It's Always Worth It) Recently, while coaching, a pattern started to show up. The moms I talked to felt stuck, frustrated, or exhausted. They were waiting on someone else to do something different so they could finally feel better. And I kept finding myself thinking: You're giving all your power away! Not in judgement, but in love. Because I've done it too. When peace feels out of reach, it's almost always because we're outsourcing it. We believe it depends on our kids' moods, our partner's habits, or someone else's approval. We're hoping someone else will say the right thing, change their behavior, make it easier. But the truth is, peace doesn't come from other people getting it right. It comes when we take radical responsibility for how we think, feel and show up. In this episode, I'm sharing: What radical responsibliity really looks like in marriage, motherhood and more How to recognize when you're stuck in blame mode Simple ways to take your power back, without pretending everything is fine And if taking radical respoinsibility feels like a lot, just start small. Notice one story where you're waiting on someone else to make you feel better. Then ask: What's one way I can take my power back in this moment? That's where peace begins.
