Nick and Jake catch up on the biggest news around the League, including the renewed fantasy appeal of Kaapo Kakko after being traded by the New York Rangers to the Seattle Kraken. The guys give their naughty and nice lists, including surprises like Martin Necas, Filip Gustavsson, Zach Werenski and Ivan Barbashev and disappointing players from the Rangers, Nashville Predators and Buffalo Sabres, and answer some mailbag questions. Then, in the first edition of “On the Money,” presented by Bet365, the guys are joined by Chris Meaney to give their favorite betting and prop angles for upcoming games. They touch on market reacting to the Ottawa Senators' sudden push to make the playoffs, futures longshot odds surrounding goalie Linus Ullmark and coach Travis Green, the blast-from-the-past season from Anze Kopitar of the Los Angeles Kings, Avalanche-Sharks revenge angles and more.
This episode we are joined by Joy Piedmont of multiple other Doctor Who podcasts (such as Reality Bomb and Five Years Rapid) to discuss K9 Episode 8, "Jaws of Orthrus", originally broadcast on 1 March 2010. Betsy Goes to the Movies... and sometimes her friends go too
Happy almost Shark Week! I love shark week, and not just because it's an excuse to watch really bad shark movies. This definitely falls in the cheesy, so bad it's good categories. I enjoyed it a lot. Listen as I try to keep track of everything going on and all of the loose ends and really want to punch Dale. Just as a heads up, they never show the bikini ski run, so if you watch this for hot girls in bikinis skiing down a mountain, you, my friend, will be sorely disappointed.

DUH DUN DUH DUN DUNDUNDUNDUN (duh nanaaa) DUNDUNDUNDUN Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water.... Genre Grinder is back and focusing on actual genres, following the three part best of 2010s. Well, sort of. This month, Gabe and first-time guest Anne-Marie Taylor chat about shark movies or, more precisely, BAD shark movies. Honestly, it was just easier this way. Not only does Anne-Marie pride herself on knowing all the best in shitty selachimorpha flicks, but the subgenre has become its own little cottage industry on home video and television over the last two decades. The discussion begins with arguably the quintessential Italian Jaws rip-off, Enzo G. Castellari’s The Last Shark (Italian: L'ultimo squalo; aka: Great White, 1981), then moves on to the silliest official entry in the Jaws canon, Joe Alves’ Jaws 3-D (1983), an early entry in the modern STV shark lottery, David Worth’s meme-tastic Shark Attack 3: Megalodon (2002), and end things with a perfect sampling of the Syfy network’s Z-grade output, Keith Shaw’s Avalanche Sharks (2014). We accidentally watched different versions of that last one. 00:00 – Intro 08:00 – The Last Shark 29:17 – Jaws 3-D and shark facts 53:20 – Shark Attack 3: Megalodon 1:16:21 – Avalanche Sharks 1:45:40 – Wrap up and Anne-Marie’s top four

It's Shark Week! We're celebrating by chumming up the water I mean snow and taking a bite out of "Avalanche Sharks". A ridiculous movie about blue glowing ghost sharks and featuring bikini clad snow bunnies, the world's worst first responders, and a platoon of identical looking male characters, a rickety old sheriff with a child bride. and not one but two Olympian characters.
Trouble is brewing up on the slopes! Something has awoken the ancient AVALANCHE SHARKS. How many nubile college students will they devour before the skiiers, snowboarders, ski patrol, sheriff, mayor, marine biologist, international tourist, and all the other expendable protagonists figure out how to stop them?
Listen in as Wielding, Pack, and first ever returning guest Nerd and Needle, talk about their week in gaming, streaming, and entertainment. In this episode the guys discuss the new Overwatch hero Birgitte, Wielding talks about PUBG for the Xbox, and Nerd talks about her wholesale workload. In entertainment, everyone talks about what they watched for the week, take a quiz over soda, and celebrate the moved up release date of Avengers Infinity War. It's that time of the month! It's time for the Bad Netflix Movie Review. This month we review Avalanche Sharks. This movie is just awful, but it's a different kind of awful compared to previous installments. The featured charity stream this week is Jacksepticeye February Charity Stream benefitting the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. In the main topic we kick off our con season special with what life is like for an artist/vendor at conventions. Nerd and needle provides her experiences and insight on what its like setting up a booth

Shark Month is here! In the first week of our month long celebration of all things shark, we had to watch Avalanche Sharks! Listen as we discuss the juvenile writing, terrible acting, and try to get to the bottom of a mind-blowing theory about the old prospector Duffy! John moderates the quiz as Chase & Blake go head to head to see who can carve out a lead in this month long contest!
In this episode we discuss Mike and Shaggy's new phone, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. We also talk about Sean Spicer, the failed Fyre Festival, police body cameras, Guardians of the Galaxy. Also of course we do our double feature movie review, this week it's Cry Wilderness via MST3K Returns and Avalanche Sharks. Go to www.PTRRadio.com for more information about the show.
Snow what type of sharks could get you in an avalanche?! Even more importantly, snow why I keep spelling avalanche wrong?! I don't either! But John and Justin do! That's right, Brandon couldn't make it so Justin saves us from having to listen to just John, but boy do they have an awesome show lined up! As always, listen and enjoy! Movie Meltdown - Episode 343 This week we hang out at the bastion, discuss some things we've seen lately and then we take it upon ourselves to sit down to watch Avalanche Sharks. Thankfully we stumble upon an amazing "second screen experience" that almost makes the whole movie worthwhile. And as we fall down a rabbit hole full of titles of "other" movies, we also discuss... Negasonic Teenage Warhead, American Horror Story, the Mystic Seer devil, He Never Died, Emma Roberts, Clancy Brown, Daredevil, he likes him some Famke Janssen, Attack of the Killer Doughnuts, Deadpool, Leonardo DiCaprio v Lady Gaga, Shakespeare with no tentacles... no rocket ships, I'm a button masher... through and through, in a Robitussin coma, Eric from True Blood's brother, also known as... stupid, I'm pretty sure I could fit one hand around her throat, I'm gonna keep hammering at this until someone makes me a useful superhero, hey... you wanna be in a movie?, having a subscription to Solider of Fortune magazine, dino ice demon ghost sharks, thrust into this stupid adult world, an undeveloped siamese twin, gun safety, Henry Rollins, orange blood, Bait, no amount of Milk Bones is worth this, buying comic books at the drug store, Sand Sharks, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, swoopy-hair girl, IDPA, your brain works in mysterious ways, and we never saw pee girl again, being a mercenary, Gina Holden, Ryan Reynolds and The Squeals of Ticklish Nice Girls. Spoiler Alert: Ha... like you can spoil this movie. "I mean... this is way more entertaining then that movie was!"
Avalanche Sharks v He Never Died on the roulette, we reveal our picks from 2016's Fantasy Movie League draft, and chat Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Cloverfield, The Matrix, Daredevil: Season Two, The Flash (old school), Goosebumps, The Congress, The Night Before, Grand Piano, and much more!

A production coordinator from Hollywood, Jil Szewski talks to Paul and Chris about working shows, unions, the long hours, and practical jokes on imdb. Chris has learned “What do you do?” is a bad question thanks to reading our last guest, Nicole Bélanger. Jil is currently working on Whose Line Is It, Anyway? (Content not available in Canada, peep this instead.) GVSU Alumni reunion for those cats interested. Experimental film featuring bug parts, Mothlight. You can probably find it on Youtube. Maya Deren’s rad experimental film, Meshes of the Afternoon. Again, you can probably find it on Youtube. Jil had the awkward task of finding Christmas decorations in the summer when she worked on A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. We learn that web series are very big right now in Hollywood. Chris recommends Chef, but Jil who worked on the film, warns that it will make you very hungry. Paul is currently watching Arrow and The 100. Chris is watching Helix, Supernatural, 12 Monkeys and he’s waiting for Orphan Black and Silicon Valley to start up again. Jil went to the wrap party for season 2 of Silicon Valley where they showed a gag reel and she said it looks really good! Aren’t 5 stars better than 1? Michigan had a film incentive (you can read more about it here), but then it ended and now some folks are trying to get it going again. Jil’s fiance worked on HBO’s True Detective which is a very good show. Jil schools Chris & Paul on the various unions and the requirements to join. Chris admits his only understanding of Hollywood unions comes from Full Tilt Boogie. Resident bad movie lover Chris is sad when Jil reveals that her uncredited acting credit for Avalanche Sharks on imdb.com is a joke played on her by some friends. Jil loves Elvis! Chris wishes she was on the Harum Scarum episode of Film Frown to recommend some decent Elvis films. Thanks again to our guest Jil! Be sure to check out her current show, Whose Line Is It, Anyway? And thanks to you for listening. Support Montreal Sauce on Patreon
