S6, EP 187Meet Your Actor Series - Terrance AddisonThis week our special guest is Tall, Dark, and Hilarious. Terrance Addison is a full-time voice actor based in Los Angeles, California. His versatile voice ranges from med-high to deep-low. He voices Commercials, eLearning, Promo, Video Games, Animation and more. Terrance is a proud father and family man & when he's not in the booth, he's spending time with family and friends. The conversation takes us through Terrance's journey to finding his way into becoming a full-time voice over actor. We learn about what he does outside the booth on any typical day, what's his favorite beverage, the last movie he watched, what he last ate for breakfast, favorite voiceover genre, what his day job used to be, what is his favorite video game, how he doesn't consume the media or participate on Social media often. Terrance share's with us his thoughts on what's meant for you won't pass you by and how he infuses bits and pieces of himself in every character he voices. We also play a fun round table game where we take our current mood + last thing we ate = the name of our video game we create. Apparently, there are a lot of newer video games with food names now! Find out what all our video game names are! Then we find out what Terrance is most proud of...And then one final, final question from Gaby - What would your Inner Child say to you now? WE go deep on this one and Terrance shares what his would say! Join us at the Chaos table and listen in on our conversation with Terrance Addison for this episode of Meet Your Actor Series!Hi thx for listening in on the Creative Chaos conversation! It is the distant future of 2022 A.D. Technology has advanced to the point where fully immersive virtual reality experiences are not only possible, but readily available to the average consumer. In November of 2022, the newest video game sensation, Sword Art Online, has just released and has taken Japan by storm. Thousands line up on launch day to play this immersive massively multiplayer online RPG (MMORPG). The wildest part? Not even a single critic has acclaimed this game. The second wildest part? Following its first few hours, the initial 10,000 people logged into the game suddenly are unable to log out for...reasons? Special thanks to @Sharkbait for commissioning today's episode! Vault Hunters, Space Capitalism, and eldritch horrors locked behind arcane gates? It's cute that you all think you're the heroes of this little adventure, but you're not. Welcome to Pandora, kiddos. That's right, we're diving exploding gun-first into the looter shooter that built the genre all thanks to our wonderful support of Butt Thwomp Nation member, Sharkbait! It's deep lore, character explanations, and a life lesson about how there's probably a reason why an ancient civilization sacrificed their entire society to lock a something called "The Destroyer" behind a gate, so maybe you don't open that gate, yeah? Strap in, choose a vault hunter, decide on a skill tree specialization, change your mind and respec when it doesn't work out well, and get ready to say the word "fustercluck" at least once! In line with Episode 21 and its Fall theme, @pow_bot and @trail_whisperer chat (rant?) about a cornucopia of topics ranging from the possible arrival of a Super El Nino in Tahoe, looking back on summer's favorite rides and new trails, the etiquette of riding illegal trails, Strava and social media, the season pass conundrum, Palisades Tahoe announcing parking pass reservations and overcrowding due to Ikon and Epic Pass sales, a 15 mph speed limit on trails in Truckee, a gang of Truckee kids on ebikes throwing apples at people and evading the law, Reno's ranking by Outside as “happiest place to live in America”, remembering the legend of Robb Gaffney and more. Like most one-on-one episodes with the boys, this one gets a little ranty, channeling a bit of the Angry Singlespeeder (aka The ASS) in Kurt. Jay and Mark discuss the 2022 sharktastic movie Shark Bait. Directed by James Nunn, and starring Holly Earl, Jack Trueman, a great white shark, and two jet skis, the movie focuses on a group of jet ski riding college kids who battle a great white shark. In this episode, they also talk about evil banjo fish, mean sharks, and aquatic Cabin in the Woods scenarios. Enjoy!
We take to the open waters this week on BEHIND THE LENS thanks to director ZACH CARVER who joins us live talking about his latest doc, THE RACE TO ALASKA. And, we dive into the deep end with a bite of SHARK BAIT and our exclusive interview with one of my fave filmmakers, JAMES NUNN. Everyone knows of my love for sharks (after all, I am known as moviesharkd), especially in film, and thankfully a new shark film hits the cinematic waters just in time for summer – SHARK BAIT! The tale of five friends on spring break who head to the sandy beaches of Mexico for much-needed fun and partying. On their last night, partying gets a bit out of control which leads to stealing some jet skis in the morning and heading out into the ocean for a game of chicken. And you can just imagine how well that goes. Needless to say, spring break, stupidity, and sharks are a lethal combination. Take a listen to this exclusive interview with director JAMES NUNN as we dive into the making of SHARK BAIT talking everything from shooting off the coast of Malta to James' technical precision and acumen to the underwater filming (85% of the film was shot in open waters versus a tank) to sunburn to casting and more! Then we head into the dangerous waters off the northwestern North American coast with THE RACE TO ALASKA when documentarian ZACH CARVER joins us live. A 750-mile journey from Port Townsend, Washington to Ketchikan, Alaska, the R2AK is one of the most interesting races you may ever witness – on a boat (any kind of boat – paddle boat, kayak, canoe, sail, pedals), no motors, no support. Taking a look at the last several years of the R2AK with in-race footage and interviews we meet the racers, learn about the various boats, and vicariously revel in the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, and the fun of it all…and we see some of the most beautiful waterways and landscape on this earth. An interesting conversation with Zach as we talk about the race itself, how it landed on his own radar, the challenges of filming, working with individual racers who did much of their own "onboard filming" with self-interviews throughout the 750-miles, blending 4 years of races into one exciting tale, lensing challenges along the race route and capturing the beauty and harshness of Mother Nature, finding a through-line, and so much more. http://eliasentertainmentnetwork.com
