The Autumn Windbags are BACK for episode 131 with RJ finally home from Abu Dhabi. Question of the day asks, how many games will the Raiders win on the upcoming five game stretch? The Raiders are at New Orleans Saints, at Jacksonville Jaguars, vs Indianapolis Colts, at Denver broncos and at Seattle Seahawks. In random Raiders news, we have a Raiders beef we didn't know we needed. The Athletics' Tashan Reed and Iggy Azalea had a back and forth on Twitter about her performance at the Raiders halftime show. Are fans turned off by media complaining at games? Plus, Iggy Azelea delivered a great line. After the 38-20 drubbing the Raiders put on the Houston Texans, the Raiders are currently third in points per game behind only the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. That's a Super Bowl offense. Its a balanced offense as well with Derek Carr, Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller leading a passing attack ranking 12th and Josh Jacobs leading a rushing attack ranked 11th. Who should get credit for the success and is this just smoke and mirrors or who the Raiders really are? Derek Carr is not a turnover machine anymore. Daniel Carlson is crushing field goals. In Raiders trade rumors, Sports Illustrated reports that the Raiders are discussing trading for Cleveland Browns right tackle Jack Conklin before the NFL trade deadline. The NFL Pro Bowler fits a need for the Raiders. Conklin went on injured reserve twice last season and is in year three of a three year, $42 million deal. Raiders vs Saints Preview. The Raiders and Saints are both 2-4 heading into NFL week 8. Saints coach Dennis Allen was the coach who drafted Derek Carr! The Saints vs Raiders match-up will come down to our linebackers being able to corral Alvin Kamara. The New Orleans Saints only really have one receiving threat and that's Chris Olave. Andy Dalton is not a great NFL quarterback but he is good enough to hurt the Raiders defensive backs. The New Orleans are also in big injury trouble with Marshon Latimore, Bradley Roby, Jarvis Landry and Michael Thomas all not likely to play. Alvin Kamara also gave the Raiders a motivational quote. The gesture also foreshadowed what they were about to do in their return.Hit the Link Tree for the socials!https://linktr.ee/thepromedianetworkPlease subscribe, like & share the shows link!

New Orleans Saints should consider trading for Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson as a post-June 1 transaction. The Seahawks drafted a new running back in Kenneth Walker III and brought back Rashaad Penny, if the Saints feel they need another option sin the RB room aside from Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, Carter could be an interesting option to check in on. Ingram could be a Post-June 1 cut, but it wouldn't make sense with the culture. However, other veterans like Nick Vannett, Bradley Roby, and Zack Baun could be trade pieces that would return some late-round pick value and save a little bit against the cap. The Atlanta Falcons may be forced to ship off Deion Jones as their relationship looks to be souring. Whether traded or cut, yes, the Saints should make the call. But all-in-all the long shot of landing him isn't the only what New Orleans gets a win if Jones leaves the NFC South. Find and follow Locked On Saints on your favorite podcast platforms:

The New Orleans Saints denied the Miami Dolphins request to speak with Sean Payton despite his not being with the team any longer. The Saints restructured three contracts on a Saturday and cut nearly $34 million from their cap overage. Michael Thomas, Andrus Peat, and Ryan Ramczyk all see an advance on their checks, helping the Saints alleviate their spending this year. This also means the Saints expect to see Thomas and Peat back in 2022 and potentially even 2023. New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan became the 38th player in NFL history to amass at least 100 sacks in his career. With more good years left to play, is Jordan making a case for Hall of Fame consideration? Considering the company he's already in on some small and impressive lists, it certainly seems like he is. While Cam Jordan sets himself up for future success, so is Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. Thanks to a recent NFL rule change, teams like the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, and Las Vegas Raiders won't have to wait until the end of the season to pursue Allen, who raised his already high profile by shutting out Tom Brady and the Tampa Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football. The Saints defense was the story of Sunday night's NFC South matchup. While the defense as a unit was remarkably impressive, the individual performances that generated the dominant showing are too. Marshon Lattimore, Paulson Adebo, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson are playing like one of the best cornerback trios in the NFL with some help from veteran Bradley Roby. The Saints pass rush is regaining its efficacy with Cam Jordan, Marcus Davenport and David Onyemata creating some havoc all along the line. Meanwhile Demario Davis, Kwon Alexander, Malcolm Jenkins, and Marcus Davenport might not be filling the stat sheet, but they consistently took away options deep and over the middle. Two places where we're used to seeing former Saints defenses give up big plays. With some potential reinforcements on the way, the Saints defense is catching fire at the right time. The New Orleans Saints just pitched the shut out of the season over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady. The Saints defense led by Cam Jordan, Demario Davis, and Marshon Lattimore showed up big leading to the 9-0 win over the NFC South division foes, keeping the Bucs from clinching their NFC playoff spot and sewing up the division. Dennis Allen and Pete Carmichael stepped up in the absence of head coach Sean Payton with an aggressive and effective defense with a measured and turnover-free offense. The Saints limited Tom Brady and his weapons with new looks on the defensive line with Marcus Davenport, Carl Granderson, and David Onyemata along with Cam Jordan who notched sack number 100.5 of his career. The coverage by C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Marshon Lattimore, Marcus Williams, and Malcolm Jenkins all stood out along with the sure tackling of Demario Davis and Bradley Roby. With the defense's phenomenal performance, should we be worried about the Saints' offense? Our opinion, no need at this time. The Saints did what they needed to do to leave Tampa with a win on the leg of Brett Maher. Taysom Hill's turnover free game and reliable management throughout were exactly what was needed. And in doing so many have given Alvin Kamara a little bit of extra rest to help him close out the season. The Saints' playoff hopes are alive and well after a surprise victory against the Bucs.  Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Saints Podcast on these platforms…

Brown and Julio Jones with talents defensive backs like Marshon Lattimore, Paulson Adebo, and Bradley Roby, and establishing a run game with Mark Ingram. A win for each team rests on wining in the trenches, controlling the turnover battle, dominating the red zone, and controlling the clock and field position. Head coaches Sean Payton and Mike Vrabel have similar formulas for success and must find ways to get it done without key starters. The New Orleans Saints were connected to two massive names as the trade deadline passed. Despite no deal getting done, the Saints were reportedly tied to the Seattle Seahawks about QB Russell Wilson and the Cleveland Browns about WR Odell Beckham Jr. Details couldn't get worked out for OBJ, so the Saints will have to rely on Michael Thomas' return to bolster WR room.  But whether or not the Saints will pursue Russell Wilson next offseason remains to be seen.  Meanwhile, despite being down to their third quarterback, the Saints near the top of offensive efficiency in Week 8. Paulson Adebo continues to outsnap Bradley Roby, Malcalm Jenkins puts on a great performance, and the Saints continue to get their pass rushing boost from Marcus Davenport and Cam Jordan. Breaking it all down by the numbers. Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Saints Podcast on these platforms…

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton discussed several decisions throughout this weekend's loss to the New York Giants. Highlighting where execution factored in for better or worse. Would Coach Payton call the Taysom Hill pass again? What about passing on the 42-yard field goal? What went right on Jameis Winston's TD pass to Kenny Still that called back vs. what went wrong on the Taysom Hill interception targeting Deonte Harris? Peter Werner had a fantastic performance, he, Payton Turner (when healthy), and Paulson Adebo have been standouts as rookies. But Werner in particular has helped to alleviate the big loss of Kwon Alexander who is now available to come off of injured reserve but may need more time to recover from his injury. Paulson Adebo struggled in the third game of his career after several good games to open up the season. Is it time to move to Bradley Roby? Or will maintaining his confidence long term be more important? What happened in the areas that Adebo usually thrives in were replicated in Marshon Lattimore's game and may show that Adebo deserves another show before pulling him out of the starting role. The last 18 months have been obscene. Blowing a 24 point lead, trading DeAndre Hopkins, adding only Eric Murray and Ross Blacklock to a bottom pass defense, starting 0-4 and immolating the Bill O'Brien era, watching Deshaun Watson's teammates actively sabotage him, Watson's trade request after the Nick Caserio hiring process, another draft without a first or second round pick, and a summer of malaise, the good news is that football has started again, and all of that is down the drain. What matters, the only thing that matters, is right here right now, and right now, the Texans are 1-0 after hunting down the Jaguars in a 37-21 win. On this episode of Battle Red Radio Matt Weston and Diehard Chris review the win over Jacksonville. Topics include: TYGOD Taylor, embracing the present, how Houston's run blocking fared, the top rope diving Brandin Cooks, what to make of Lovie Smith's defense, turnovers regressing to the mean in a single game, the Bradley Roby trade, Urban Myer racing to the EKG machine, and David Johnson pickling beets and peaches upstate.
