BRUISER is a family drama on Hulu about the coming of age of a 14-year-old black teenager, his family dynamics and relationship to a drifter who may be more than what he seems. Coming home for vacation from his expensive preparatory school in the city, 14-year-old Darious finds himself without friends. Also, his strict father, Malcolm, a car salesman, is overly busy and aloof, and his Christian mother, Monica, is loving but somewhat suffocating. Darious finds out the drifter, Porter, is his biological father. He decides to try to get to know Porter. However, this creates conflict, especially with the stepfather. Has Darious, in seeking solace from someone “cool” rather than someone of good character, made a mistake he'll regret?

This week, when we're not chatting about Cort's soap opera and whomever Sprina is kissing now, we're loving on two films that we watched for the Film Independent Spirit Awards: “The Inspection” and “Bruiser.” Coincidentally, they both feature the theme of toxic masculinity, shown from two different perspectives.“The Inspection” is based on a true story and stars Jeremy Pope and Gabrielle Union. It is written and directed by Elegance Bratton, the story on whom the film the based and whose character Pope plays in the film. Bratton was a “troubled” teen and was estranged from his mother. He joined the Marine Corps, which ended up being more difficult for him than for the average Marine because he's gay.Pope, who was recognized at the 2023 Golden Globes by Ryan Murphy, stands out in this role and gives a deeply heartfelt performance. As of this posting, the film is rentable.“Bruiser” is the story of 14-year-old Darious (played by Jalyn Hall) who is caught between his father (played by Shamier Anderson) and an enigmatic and charismatic stranger (Porter) who suddenly shows up in his life (played by Trevante Rhodes). It turns out that his dad and Porter have a complicated history, as do Darious and Porter. Darious is severely lacking in positive role models.The film is Miles Warren's directorial debut. It is currently available on Hulu.All this sounds pretty serious, and the films definitely are. But y'all know us. I don't think anyone has ever asked us “why so serious?”

Darious Clark, often known as Dclark, has made a favorable impression on his followers with his outstanding basketball skills. Dclark competed in the 2021 Armenian League Championship last month. He also led Vahakni City to the Armenian Championship victory. Now that he's won the championship, he's focused on the future. Darious Clark, often known as Dclark, has made a favorable impression on his followers with his outstanding basketball skills. Dclark competed in the 2021 Armenian League Championship last month. He also led Vahakni City to the Armenian Championship victory. Now that he's won the championship, he's focused on the future. Dclark scored 19 points and 13 rounds for the Vahakni City squad. Dclark, being the captain of the team, used his knowledge to assist an inexperienced team in achieving this milestone. It also helped his team earn a league-best 30-7 record. Dclark was greeted warmly upon his return to America after his outstanding performance in the Armenian championship. Many people believe he will be the next big basketball champion in the world. Following his team's victory, Dclark plans to bring three colleagues to TBT to showcase their skills on American turf. For the time being, the foreign athlete wants to play in the Big 3 competition, a professional 3-on-3 basketball league. Dclark began his basketball career at the age of 11. He was born in Washington, DC, and was brought up in Prince George's County, Maryland. As a child, he began improving his physical abilities, which sparked his interest in football and basketball. Among his interests, Dclark chose basketball and competed in numerous events during his high school and college years. For his outstanding basketball skills in the sports world, he has received awards such as Finals MVP, All-Star Game MVP, and MVP. Dclark hasn't looked back since he started participating in numerous basketball tournaments. Everyone admires his outstanding leadership qualities as well as his basketball ability. His career was finally taking shape until he suddenly lost his father. Darious sadly lost his mother a few years later, who always encouraged him to chase his dreams. Knowing that life is precious, Darious has since reconnected with his birth mom and comes to “The Voice” hoping to make his late parents proud.
