00:02:49.047 Besetzung 1) „Der Manager“ Regisseurin: Deepa Metha (Sam & Me, Fire, Earth, Water) Hauptrolle: Kabir - Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi, Homeland) 2) „Der Jaguar“ Regisseurin: Aurora Guerrero (Mosquita y Mari) Hauptrolle: Marisol - Jearnest Corchado (The Blacklist, Cucuy: The Boogeyman) 3) „Der Cowboy“ Regisseur: Bharat Nalluri (The 100, Charles Dickens: Der Mann, der Weihnachten erfand) Hauptrolle: Iwegbuna - Conphidance (American Gods, Atlanta) 4) „Das Schweigen“ Regisseurin: Sian Heder (Mother, Orange is the New Black) Hauptrolle: Sylviane - Mélanie Laurent (Inglourious Bastards, Die Unfassbaren, 6 Underground) Nebenrolle: Spiritueller Leader - Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Heroes) 5) „Die Bäckerin“ Regisseur: Chioke Nassor (Storytime, How to follow Strangers) Hauptrolle: Beatrice - Kemiyondo Coutinho (Kyenvu) 6) „Der große Preis“ Regisseur: Tze Chun (Children of Invention) Hauptrolle: Ai - Angela Lin (Wallflowers, The Young and Restless) 7) „Der Fels“ Regisseur: Nima Nourizadeh (Project X, American Ultra) Hauptrolle: Faraz - Shaun Toub (Iron Man, Die legende von Aang, Homeland) 8) „Der Sohn“ Regisseur: Stephen Dunn (Swallowed, Closet Monster) Hauptrolle: Rafiq - Haaz Sleiman (Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme, Killing Jesus) 00:04:38.946 Technische Umsetzung In Punkto Technik gibt es keinen Raum für Vorwürfe. Aaron here. I'm back from Texas and I have stories: I went to a rodeo. I ate bbq. I hung out at the ranch where "Dallas" was filmed. Good times...? That said, I'm curious -- is there a TV show you love that has made you want to visit the locale it takes place in? "Friday Night Lights" made me want to go to Texas. So there's that. Also, big apologies to our Canadian listeners! We never mean to imply being Canadian is a bad thing. Just some of the shows that come out of Canada have a specific look and feel that is quite different from American shows. Seriously, we're sorry. NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK: Aside from Samurai World, there will be five other mysterious parks featured in "Westworld" Season 2 — this according to the website DelosDestinations.com. Bryan Fuller has exited "Amazing Stories" citing creative differences with Apple. "The Big Sick's" Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon are teaming with "SMILF's" Lee Eisenberg and "Master of None's" Alan Yang to develop "Little America." According to THR, "Little America" will be an immigration-themed anthology series and "is based on the true stories featured in Epic Magazine. It is described as a funny, romantic, heartfelt and inspiring look beyond the headlines at the lives of immigrants in America at a time when their stories are more relevant than ever." Joel McHale has a new show coming to Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 18 called "The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale." The premiere episode will welcome Kevin Hart as a guest, with appearances by Alison Brie, Mike Colter, Paul Reiser, Jodie Sweetin and Jim Rash. Much like he did on "The Soup," McHale will take an absurdist look at pop culture, as well as news from around the world. It's Winter Olympics time, dear Clinkers! Joshuah Bearman is the co-founder of Epic Magazine and a freelance writer. His latest story is "Coronado High." "People who know me well will realize that parts of this story are actually about me. … It's about loss of innocence and getting to a certain point in your life where you realize the excitement of youth is over. Life at a certain point gets complicated and there are consequences and things get hard. These are people who dealt with those consequences in a way that I never did — they had to go to prison or destroy their friends lives — but that's what I liked about this story. It's a true crime story, but it became universal when I realized that there is this emotional experience that these characters go through that anybody can relate to." Thanks to TinyLetter and Igloo Software for sponsoring this week's episode.
