In an archived interview from 2015, ec3 who at the time used his entire name at that point Ethan Carter III has endured a great deal of change. As a former up and coming talent as part of WWE developmental territories such as Ohio Valley Wrestling, Deep South Wrestling and then later NXT where Daniel Bryan was his mentor. A pro wrestler/sports entertainer for nearly 17 years, ec3 has experienced a number of highs and lows professionally. After being released from the WWE, ec3 was borne as part of Impact Wrestling. As the nephew of Dixie Carter, ec3 isn't unlike independent wrestlers such as MJF that believe they come from privilege. After achieving all he could in IMPACT Wrestling, Ethan Carter III left the promotion that showed him that he is exactly who he says he is. During our chat, we addressed his past, his present, and his professional future. To hear this interview and what he (at the time IMPACT Wrestling) had to say, stay tuned. All links to the interview along with the podcast preference of your choice are available below.

Graham "GSM" Matthews is fresh off his trip to Philadelphia for WWE's Royal Rumble weekend and has plenty to say about everything that went down! He and special guest Sal Dangelo break down the historic few days in the "City of Brotherly Love" on the latest WrestleRant Radio, including why Aleister Black may not have been involved in the men's Royal Rumble match and when he could be called up to the main roster, an early Match of the Year candidate between Johnny Gargano and Andrade "Cien" Almas at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia, Ethan Carter III joining NXT, if it's too soon for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to split up, and The Usos' next challengers for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.Plus, they're talking all about the men's Rumble and how it could have been one of the best of all-time, Shinsuke Nakamura coming out on top (was it because WWE wanted to boost their Japanese market?), Roman Reigns' road to WrestleMania and early predictions for Elimination Chamber, the Universal Championship Triple Threat match, where the teases of tension between Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan are headed, Asuka winning the first-ever women's Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey's grand WWE debut, a possible location for WrestleMania 35, Jonathan Coachman joining the Raw commentary team, who will induct The Dudley Boyz into the WWE Hall of Fame, Drake Maverick being named the new 205 Live General Manager, Bobby Lashley returning to WWE soon, and much more!
Just like Raw returning to the Manhattan Center on Monday, this week's Top Marks gets back to basics: no guests, no overtime, just the #goodfriends breaking down the top three stories of the week in the world of professional wrestling. And they are: 1. Raw 25 Preview. We run down the list of returning legends and theorize on how they might interact with the current roster. And how much wrestling is even going to be on this show? 2. NXT signings! Ricochet, War Machine and Candice LeRae are all headed to the Performance Center! Ethan Carter III has signed as well! Where do we see these talents ending up, and how much do we even like them? Plus: should Bobby Lashley return to the Fed as well? 3. Paige's rumoured retirement! The pale one suffered another injury last week, truncating a brief return to the ring after a long road of recovery. Should she have ever returned? And where does she fit in the annals of women's wrestling? All that plus listener questions have us ranking our Top 5 favourite entrances! And the triumphant returns of Keep It or Kick It, Sunday Night Tweet, and Hey Guy What's That All About? It's just what the world needed: another wrestling podcast. Follow us on Twitter: @TopMarksPod
Lee Brando and Ryon break down a headline-heavy week around WWE, including Paige's possible need to retire from injury, the signings of Ricochet, Candice LeRae, and War Machine, and the arrest of Jey Uso. He has plenty to say about his time on NXT (you know, back when it was still a crappy competition show), how WWE cared so little about the program, and who he conspired with to cheat toward the end! In another interesting tidbit, he reveals what inspired his shoot promo on the NXT Season 4 finale and how it landed him with Alberto Del Rio for a time in 2011. And what would the interview be without some talk about his Funkasaurus persona? He discusses why he was given the character by management, how he got it over with the audience, his brief pairing with Hornswoggle, how WWE failed to capitalize off his heel turn in late 2013, starring in "No One Lives" from WWE Studios, his time in TNA and his current partnership with Ethan Carter III. Also, would he ever consider doing commentary when his in-ring career is over? In the final portion of the show, GSM gives his quick rundown of all the latest happenings in the world of wrestling, including Dolph Ziggler's current contract status, Monday's Raw, the return of Brock Lesnar (and his impact on WWE programming), the releases of Gunner and Samuel Shaw from TNA, Slammiversary thoughts, Austin Aries potentially leaving soon, and more!
