TNA Impact this week was a very strange show. Some good, some bad, some unbelievably awkward.Let's start with Eric Young vs EC3 in a No DQ Match.How do you make a NO DISQUALIFICATION match boring? Seriously. Weapons, tables, piledrivers—and the crowd barely reacted to anything. Completely silent building. Brutal atmosphere.And then EC3 loses.So let me get this straight—you bring him back just to immediately lose? What exactly was the plan here?Then we got one of the weirdest Knockouts segments in a long time. Elayna Black comes out talking trash, Ash by Elegance calls her a “gothic prostitute,” Indi Hartwell shows up, and the whole thing felt bizarre and uncomfortable.The tag matches were solid though. Moose and Leon Slater especially had a fun match against The System.And then the main event SAVED the show.Arianna Grace vs Lei Ying Lee was genuinely good. Arianna's best match by far, and crowning Lei Ying Lee was absolutely the right move. The Urban Playboy made his Exodus Pro Wrestling in-ring debut back on December 1st, 2023, winning a six-man gauntlet. The victory planted the seeds for his eventual NWA Midwest Championship victory. The first Midwest Champion in the modern era and a 6'7 level of respect for Exodus Pro. As Midwest Champion, there were no state lines for PB Smooth. Defending his title in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, New Jersey, Michigan, Texas, and several trips north of the border in Ontario.Smooth joined NWA POWERRR at Back to the Territories in the summer of 2024 and successfully defeated Mims. His impact in the NWA would be co-opted with EC3 as the Holy Grail. At the Crockett Cup, EC3 and Smooth would eliminate the Southern Six from the tournament, but would lose to the Colons in the semi-finals.On January 17th, 2026, Smooth was offered a contract with the National Wrestling Alliance.
