Aber was wäre eine NerdLine-Folge ohne das allseits beliebte Assassin's Creed und mit Assassin's Creed Shadows können Lucas und Frank euch verraten, ob Ubisoft noch eine Zukunft hat oder die Gleichung der Formel gegen 0 geht. Eines ist aber klar, wie Reisteigplatten, ein Abstecher nach Japan ist schon wegen Super Mario immer eine Empfehlung wert. Intro/News: Frank war im Januar im Urlaub und hat schon wieder einen Promi getroffen. I really don't even want to talk about it* The 2015 Season Was Rodgers Putting the Team on His Back* Finished 10-6 after a 7-0 start - a lot of injuries* HAIL MARY #1 in Week 13* Limped into the playoffs* Lost to the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional Round* Rodgers Hail Mary #2 * The best WR was Jeff Janis in that game due to injuries* Rodgers threw passes to Janis, Jared Abbrederis, Richard Rodgers, John Kuhn, Eddie Lacy, and James Starks in that game (lol)* Took GB to overtime against a formidable ARI team* The 2016 Season Was The “Run The Table” Season* Started 4-6 and had a brutal SNF loss in DC * Rodgers said “I think we can run the table”* And they did so* In the final six weeks of the season…* Packers went 6-0 and won the division in Week 17 at Detroit* 1667 yards, 15 TD, 0 INT, 121 RTG … I forgot how brilliant he was in that run* Despite ZERO defense, he carried them to the NFCCG in Atlanta, where they got obliterated* Hail Mary #3 in the Wild Card Round against the NY Giants* The Divisional Round game at Dallas was incredible…the Jared Cook catch* The 2017 Season Was Injury Plagued* Started 4-1, but Rodgers broke his collarbone in Week 6 due to that loser Anthony Barr* Tried to come back but struggled against the Panthers in Week 15* The 2018 Season Was The End of the McCarthy Era* It was the weirdest 25-touchdown to 2-interception season ever..Rodgers and GB's offense lacked a lot* A horrific Week 13 loss to ARI got McCarthy fired* 6-9-1 record and playoffs missed* The 2019 Season Was the Beginning of the LaFleur Era* Went 13-3 after the offense lacked sharpness* They won a lot of close games and weren't a very good team* Rodgers had two “down seasons” in 2018 and 2019, but had 51 TD and 6 INT … which is insane* Another NFCCG Loss to the 49ers* The 2020 Season May Have Been Rodgers' Best* The Aaron Rodgers —> Davante Adams connection was ABSOLUTELY ELITE in 2020* Rodgers had one bad game in 2020 - Week 6 in Tampa* Overall, he had 51 TD (3 rushing), 5 INT, and a 121.5 RTG and his 3rd MVP* The dominance against the NFC North and SNF snow game against Tennessee was very memorable* In another heartbreaking loss, the Packers went down to the Buccaneers at Lambeau in the NFCCG* They absolutely should've won this game* The 2021 Offseason Was a Disaster* Rodgers asked for a trade* It was a whole big thing* The 2021 Season Equaled Back-to-Back MVPs* The whole COVID thing happened* He threw 20 TD and 1 INT after the COVID thing* 37 TD, 4 INT, 111.9 RTG overall, and his 4th MVP* A stunning loss in the Divisional Round to the 49ers… seemed like the end of the Rodgers Era, but it wasn't * Packers traded Davante Adams to the Raiders after extending Rodgers * The 2022 Season Was Not Good* The season went downhill after the loss in London to the NY Giants* Rodgers broke his thumb and played through it after that game* They went 8-9 and had a real chance to make the playoffs in Week 18, but lost to the Lions* The last Rodgers game at Lambeau was one to forget - 17/27, 205 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 83.1 RTG* The Trade to the Jets* Overall Reflection and Thoughts on the Rodgers EraThanks for tuning in! Since becoming the owner in February 2023, Suns' Mat Ishbia has simply gone for it. He's allowed the franchise to make two of the biggest trades in its history. Before the trade deadline, the Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, and multiple first-round picks for KEVIN DURANT. And now here we are, they've kicked off the NBA off-season with a trade for BRADLEY BEAL. I've been wanting to do this for a while. Each one of the four professional sports teams that I root for is in an interesting part of their history. I would cover Chelsea FC here too, but they just stink. Each part of the podcast portion has a chapter for each franchise. Hope you enjoy it! I tried to separate this as much as possible to allow folks who are fans of only one or two of these teams to have easier access to each part! They enter the summer with much uncertainty around who returns around Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. In this quick chapter, I reviewed the coaching hires, Chris Paul/DeAndre Ayton, the potential roster next season, and a bit more. Chapter II: The St. Louis Blues (Retooling) The Blues missed the playoffs in 2022-23 for the first time since the 2017-18 season. They have a lot of picks in the 2023 NHL Draft and salary cap space to work with throughout the summer. I expect them to be very involved in free agency and trades this summer. The roster retool/reshape/rebuild (whatever you want to call it) is underway. Chapter III: The St. Louis Cardinals (In a WEIRD Place) They are bad. There's not a lot to talk about. This is a short chapter with a little rant about where this franchise has been and where they are going. Brutal. Chapter IV: The Green Bay Packers (Roster Reset, Let the Kids Play)The Aaron Rodgers era is over. We now enter the Jordan Love era. The Packers roster is young and energetic. It's a new phase of life for the franchise. It'll be interesting to watch it unfold. Chapter V: What's Next for the Four TeamsIn this chapter, I discussed my feelings on each franchise overall. My guest today is an award-winning author, journalist and writer for film, television, and video games. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in English literature, he travelled to Uzbekistan as a volunteer for the Peace Corps. He then returned to New York where he worked as author and editor, reporting on the Iraq war for Harper's Magazine and contributing literary criticism to The New York Times Book Review. A keen thinker on video games, in 2010 he published Extra Lives: Why Video Games Matter, a book that included a dissection of his experiences playing Grand Theft Auto IV while abusing cocaine. His 2013 book, The Disaster Artist, was turned into an Oscar-nominated feature film directed by James Franco, and his short story Aral inspired Werner Herzog's 2016 film Salt and Fire. My guest has also written for video games such as The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Uncharted 4, and Gears of War 5, and in 2021 he co-developed the Apple TV series The Mosquito Coast, based on the Paul Theroux novel of the same title. The Suns gave Vogel a five-year deal worth $31 million, per Shams Charania of Stadium. This comes after they fired Monty Williams and he got a $78.5 million deal to become the next head coach of the Detroit Pistons. I'm kind of excited about this Draft. Although the class doesn't appear to be overly strong, some of the storylines are fascinating.
