The relationship between autism and diet is a complex and evolving topic. While there is no specific diet that has been proven to treat or cure autism, some individuals and families have reported improvements in certain symptoms or behaviors through dietary interventions. It is important to approach this topic with caution and consult with medical professionals, such as pediatricians or dietitians, before making any significant changes to a child's diet. One dietary approach that has gained attention is the gluten-free, casein-free (GFCF) diet. This diet involves eliminating foods that contain gluten (found in wheat, barley, and rye) and casein (found in dairy products). Some families have reported improvements in digestive issues, behavior, and communication skills in their autistic children after implementing the GFCF diet. However, research on the effectiveness of this diet has yielded mixed results, and the scientific evidence supporting its benefits remains limited.Other dietary interventions that have been explored include the use of supplements such as omega-3 fatty acids, probiotics, and vitamins. Again, while some individuals may experience positive effects, the research in this area is inconclusive and individual responses may vary.It is important to note that dietary interventions should be approached with caution and under the guidance of healthcare professionals. Sudden changes in diet or the exclusion of essential food groups can lead to nutritional deficiencies or other health concerns. Consulting with a healthcare provider, such as a registered dietitian or a physician specializing in autism, can help determine if a dietary intervention is appropriate and ensure that the child's nutritional needs are being met. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvbxaKTtneN/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== #SupportiveParents #RealParenting #ParentingWithoutJudgment #RaisingKids #ParentingMindset #SpecialNeedsParenting #InclusiveParenting #gadar2 #gadar #taali #jaishreeram #jaishreekrishna #radhakrishna #Love #Autism #care #autismadvocate #AutismLove #gooddoctor #AutismMom #AutismDad #AutismLife #Trending #reel #diet #autismdiet

(Cross-posting from my other podcast Connecting Minds)Chronic “subclinical” dehydration (or “hypohydration”) contributes to the aging process. Too many people still use Brita filters thinking they are protected from the hundreds of toxic chemicals and metals in the municipal water supply. In this episode I discuss two fast and relatively easy and inexpensive ways to clean up the water your family drinks and cooks with. Yes, there are other options, but for most beginners this will be sufficient to greatly reduce their toxic burden. The water distiller company I use: https://www.makewaterpure.co.uk/?cmid=THVmWlZFWFJYRVk9&afid=MysrUHdzdEtUYTA9&ats=bGVNSStaaCs3Wmc9 (affiliate link)Links to my book Autism Wellbeing Plan: How to Get Your Child Healthy:US Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Autism-Wellbeing-Plan-Child-Healthy/dp/1916393004UK Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Autism-Wellbeing-Plan-Child-Healthy-ebook/dp/B084GBBDL9Video courses:The Healthy Gluten-Free, Casein-Free Diet for Autism & ADHD:https://www.udemy.com/course/gluten-free-casein-free-diet-for-children-autism-adhd-gut-dysfunction/?referralCode=F232BBF8D4DABBBF6110Sign up to my mailing list to get the below course on nutrient supplementation for your child for free: https://christianyordanov.com/autism-wellbeing-plan-resources/Nutrient Supplements for Autism, ADHD, and Children's Health:https://www.udemy.com/course/nutrient-supplementation-for-childrens-health/?referralCode=6269D58AC095B1D4039CWebsite: https://christianyordanov.com/

At a time when foreign investors are showing confidence in India's growth story, what is holding back Indian firms from coming forward and making investments, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman asked on Tuesday. The answer, according to analysts, is that Indian businesses are not confident about the durability of the demand recovery. Add to that the prevailing external headwinds and one gets a clear picture of what's stopping firms from increasing investments. Investments by India Inc have slowed down with the growth rate of gross block formation of Indian companies falling to single digits in the last two years as the pandemic hit consumer demand. Private final consumption expenditure, or PFCE, rose 13.5 per cent in the first quarter of FY23. Also, it was almost 10 per cent higher than the corresponding pre-Covid period of FY20. PFCE denotes demand in the economy. However, India Inc is not certain that demand will continue to gather momentum because retail price inflation has remained above the Reserve Bank of India's tolerance level of six per cent for the eighth consecutive month in August. Ranen Banerjee, the leader for economic advisory services at PwC India, told Business Standard that there was lower appetite for investing to build capacity because economic headwinds had caused the private sector to have little confidence in the sustainability of demand. He also blamed the combination of the pre-Covid slowdown, the Covid shock, and the current global growth challenges emerging from the ultra-tough monetary stances adopted by central banks. Banerjee also said that the benefits of the cut in corporate tax rates were used by businesses to deleverage their balance sheets. ICRA Chief Economist Aditi Nayar said that high commodity prices, geopolitical uncertainties, and uneven consumer demand were likely to have prompted India Inc to defer their capital expenditure plans in spite of healthy capacity utilisation in the fourth quarter of FY22. According to the RBI's OBICUS Survey, capacity utilisation in the manufacturing sector rose to 75.3 per cent in the fourth quarter of FY22 from 72.4 per cent in the third quarter of that year. In fact, capacity utilisation levels have improved consecutively for three quarters. In the first quarter of FY21, it had fallen sharply to 47.3 per cent due to the lockdown imposed after the Covid-19 outbreak. ICRA's Nayar said that capacity utilisation was likely to register a seasonal dip in the first quarter of FY23, exacerbated by geopolitical headwinds and uneven demand for goods. So, what can be done to get India Inc to turn on the investment tap? [Byte of Madan Sabnavis on solutions] While investments as a percentage of GDP rose year-on-year in the first quarter of FY23, they were still below the 30 per cent mark required to push the economy on to the path of sustained growth. Gross fixed capital formation, or GFCF, numbers showed that there was an improvement in investments in the first quarter compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. This improvement was probably aided by government capital expenditure. However, it was clear that investments have still not recovered to pre-Covid levels. While disaggregated data is unavailable, experts have said that the government continues to be the source for a large chunk of the GFCF. The hope has been that government capital expenditure would lead to the crowding in of private investments, which would give economic growth the push it needs. However, despite significant central outlays, the private sector has remained investment shy. It remains to be seen what more the government can do to induce a change in behaviour anytime soon.

Fortunes are finally favouring the real estate sector, which has been facing slowdown since fiscal year 2012. As per the national accounts statistics 2022, nominal gross fixed capital formation grew at a CAGR of 6.5% since FY12 to reach 52.6 trillion rupees in FY21. It, however, underperformed nominal GDP which grew at a CAGR of 9.5% over the same period. Household sector and private corporates contributed 74% to gross fixed capital formation in FY21, although down sharply by 500 basis points since FY12 when they contributed 79%. Within this, the contribution of real estate, including dwellings and other structures, to GFCF fell drastically by 1,200 bps from 37.4% in FY12 to 25.4% in FY21. However, after the decadal downtrend, rising animal spirits towards investments are visible within private corporates in industrial sectors and household real estate. However, the recovery trends are mixed across segments as the housing segment is seeing robust demand while commercial real estate is still lagging. That said, high input costs amid the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war is a near-term overhang. According to ‘National Price Rise Impact Study 2022' by CREDAI, nearly 40% of real estate developers feel that they will not be able to deliver their projects if the government did not take steps to provide relief from a sharp hike in the prices of construction materials. The survey also revealed that there is a direct increase of approximately 20 per cent in construction costs, which will have a direct bearing on the real estate prices. Against this backdrop, how should investors play the theme? Among individual stocks, JM Financial prefers DLF, Macrotech Developers and Prestige Estates While, Sharekhan likes Mahindra Lifespaces, DLF, Oberoi Realty, Prestige Estates, Macrotech Developers, Puravankara, and Arihant Superstructures. Analysts say investors could also play the Real Estate theme by investing in allied sectors such as home improvement, home utilities, construction material, related-commodities and logistics. On Wednesday, the Nifty Realty Index ended 0.5% up as against a percent gain in the benchmark indices. On a year-to-date basis, though, the index has shed 7% relative to benchmarks' 1% dip. Meanwhile, stock-specific action amid Q4 earnings, weekly F&O expiry, and global cues will guide the markets today.

She only eats crunchy textures (chips, dry cereal, crackers, pretzels) and other sugary junk foods. How can I get her to try new things? I've taken her to the doctors (more than once) and that did nothing… the doctor wanted her to try new foods with her there (the same thing I've tried) but charged almost $200 to do it each time so I canceled. What role does food play in overall autism recovery? You may have heard of the staple gluten free/casein free diet (GF/CF), but there’s much more to it than that. Food and nutrition matter greatly for those with autism and in overall autism recovery. The definition of recovery is to regain health! Food is medicine that helps us regain and keep our health. Please listen to my radio show interview (show #36), with Julie Matthews, author of Nourishing Hope for Autism Recovery. In show #36 we answer the questions: 1) Why does food matter for autism? 2) How does a parent get started with this approach of following a special diet? 3) What factors most influence one’s effectiveness and success, (i.e roadblocks to avoid and tips for success)? 4) What are some reasons behind picky eating, and some approached to help break through? Note: show #36 will be in the show archives about 48 hours after the show airs live, (aired live April 9th). For those already doing something with diet/nutrition: 1) How do you know when it’s time to further refine/change one’s diet approach, (beyond the “starter” GFCF or GAPS)? 2) What other food factors does one need to know about and consider? Let’s talk about Salicylates, Oxalates, Phenols and other things we’ve been hearing about with these diets. Julie Matthews BIO: Julie Matthews is a Certified Nutrition Consultant and published nutrition researcher specializing in complex neurological conditions, particularly autism spectrum disorders. She’s the author of an award-winning book, Nourishing Hope for Autism, and co-author of a comprehensive study proving the efficacy of nutrition and dietary intervention for autism – published in the peer-reviewed journal, Nutrients. This episode also references a biomedical approach we have taken to supplement Bryce's diet. The article referenced in this episode can be found in RESOURCES on our Parenting Autism website. This is a link to Bryce's favorite GFDF chocolate chip cookie that we keep on hand for special occasions and bargaining chips for healthier new food introductions. Today's podcast discusses the benefits of a gluten-free, casein-free (GFCF) diet for children with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. Gut disorders are one of the most common medical conditions associated with autism. The CDC found that children with autism are three to five times more likely to suffer from chronic gastrointestinal disorders. Researchers also found a link to gut disorders and autism severity in children. Toxins produced by abnormal gut bacteria may trigger or or worsen autism in children. The good news is that some autistic and ADHD children's gut bacteria problems can be helped with diet and eating the right food is essential. Learn in today's podcast what foods and chemicals to avoid for gut disorders, and what foods can help repair the gut lining. We also discuss the role of glyphosate, one of the most commonly digested chemicals and how it can affect your health and the health of your child. wgkw622v
