In this episode of Two Dudes With Attitudes, Ryan and Denton deliver their full review and breakdown of WWE Royal Rumble 2026 as the Road to WrestleMania officially begins. We go match-by-match through the entire Premium Live Event, giving honest reactions, analysis, and debate on the biggest moments of the night. The main question we tackle: Was Roman Reigns the right choice to win the Men's Royal Rumble? We break down the final eliminations, the booking decision, and what Roman's victory means for WWE's WrestleMania main-event picture moving forward. We also dive deep into the Women's Royal Rumble Match, won by Liv Morgan, which we felt clearly outshined the men's match. We discuss breakout performances from Sol Ruca and Lash Legend, the overall pacing and creativity of the match, the lack of true surprise entrants, and what Liv Morgan's win means for the women's championship scene. Another major topic is AJ Styles vs. Gunther, where Styles put his WWE career on the line and ultimately fell short. Is this truly the end of AJ Styles in WWE, or is it part of a larger long-term storyline? We debate whether the retirement stipulation is legitimate or just the beginning of something bigger. We also break down Drew McIntyre defeating Sami Zayn to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship and what this result means for both competitors heading toward WrestleMania season. We close the episode with our signature “Two Thumbs With Attitudes” segment, where we grade the entire event with our percentage-based scoring system: 80% or higher earns a thumbs up, below 80% earns a thumbs down. No nostalgia bias. No favoritism. Just unbiased wrestling analysis. Acefield Retro breaks down Royal Rumble: Riyadh, WWE's first traditional Royal Rumble held outside North America, with a full recap of what happened and why it happened. We start with the Men's Royal Rumble, won by Roman Reigns after lasting 58 minutes. The focus here is on structure more than surprises — Oba Femi's early dominance, some jarring eliminations involving major players, the Bloodline-heavy finish, and why this Rumble leaned into timing, hierarchy, and direction instead of pure chaos. From there, we go back to the Women's Royal Rumble, a match that got off to a rough start thanks to production issues and uneven pacing, but steadily improved as it went. Liv Morgan picked up the win with a smart, controlled performance. Lash Legend led everyone with five eliminations, Sol Ruca continued to look like a long-term piece, and Rhea Ripley still felt like the biggest presence in the match, even without the victory. We then break down Gunther vs. AJ Styles, a 24-minute match that was the closing chapter of AJ's WWE run. Styles stayed competitive throughout, but Gunther's patience and late-match execution decided it, leading to a bigger conversation about what this loss means for Styles moving forward. The episode also covers Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn for the WWE Championship. McIntyre retained after a physically demanding, emotionally heavy match that leaned hard into Zayn's toughness and McIntyre's increasingly ruthless edge as champion. Episode 165 is about results, structure, and intent — what worked, what didn't, and what Royal Rumble: Riyadh tells us about where WWE is heading on the road to WrestleMania.
WE Friday Night SmackDown! Is live in Buffalo, New York on January 2, 2026!The Uncensored Pro Wrestling Podcast is recapping the first ever 2026 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown! And it was intense! We start off the night with future WWE HOF The Miz claiming he's the locker room leader, however, with WrestleMania around the corner many superstars disagree with The Miz, specifically, the Viper Randy Orton, who returns to lay out The Miz with a satisfying RKO! The Viper then lets WWE Champion Cody Rhodes that he's coming for the title. DAMN!We see a special 8 Woman Tag Match as Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and WWE Women's Tag Champions The Kabuki Warriors battle Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair. Great woman showcase to kick off the new year!Kit Wilson with a pretty cool new theme song takes on a returning Matt Cardona who says goodbye to Zack Ryder to show up as his true Indy realness. Sami Zayn returns and claims he wants a shot at the WWE Title, well apparently a lot of people including a former TNA Champion Trick Williams who shows up and claims his stake at the gold. WWE US Champion Carmelo Hayes defends against Johnny Gargano in a GREAT match. WWE Women's Champion Jade Cargill confronts new SmackDown! Wrestler Jordynne Grace backstage, leading to Grace to refer to Cargill as a “bitch”. The demonic Drew McIntyre reveals to WWE Champion Cody Rhodes the 3 Stages of Hell Match stipulations that will take place in Berlin. The 1st round is a Singles Match, 2nd round is a Falls Count Anywhere Match and a 3rd fall would be a Steel Cage Match. Drew then gets under the skin of the champ by burning a framed picture of Cody and his father Dusty Rhodes. This match will definitely be Hell. WWE Women's US Champion Chelsea Green defends against Giulia, in a match that sees a new two time WWE Women's US Champion. And in the main event, Damian Priest goes to war with Aleister Black in an Ambulance Match that was AWESOME! Is this the end of their deep rivalry? Doubt it.
This week as Zach returns to the fold the boys breakdown wrestling for the week. The 1 count is WWE where the masked man strikes again; this time against LA Knight. Knight's bad week compounded by tapping out to Gunther in the Last Time Is Now finals and attacked by the Vision on RAW. Drew McIntyre stays suspended but doesn't get away from Cody Rhodes on SmackDown. Nia Jax and Lash Legend destroy the women's tag division. Bron Breakker with another strong promo poking CM Punk. The boys make their Saturday Night's Main Event picks as well. The 2 count is AEW with the Continental Classic highlighted by Mike Bailey vs Kyle Fletcher. Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland team up to face the Opps. Babes of Wrath become the 1st ever AEW women's tag division. Darby Allin pulled from the Continental Classic. Eddie Kingston vs Samoa Joe for the AEW title. The 3 count is NXT with a review of NXT Deadline with some odds and ends to close the pod! Available on all audio podcast platforms. We're NOT a wrestling show, we're a show that happens to witness John Cena get hit in the yam bag.Women's WarGames (The "Nostalgia" Pop): AJ Lee proves she can still go (and make people tap), Iyo Sky attempts to murder herself with a trash can dive, and Team Ripley picks up the win over Team "Why is Lash Legend here?".The Retirement Tour Detour: John Cena does the honors for Dominik Mysterio. We discuss the "passing of the torch" (or just passing of the heat) and whether Dom actually needs the Intercontinental Title.Liv Morgan's "Shocking" Return: The swerve that wasn't really a swerve. Liv returns, teases a face turn, and immediately low-blows Cena. The Judgment Day soap opera continues forever.Stephanie Vaquer vs. Nikki Bella: A match that happened. Vaquer retains the Women's World Title, and we question if the "Bella Army" still has any recruits left in 2025.Men's WarGames (Old Guard vs. The Vision): The "Bloodline & Friends" reunion tour hits a wall. Brock Lesnar collects a massive paycheck to throw a few suplexes, and The Vision (Breakker, Reed, McIntyre, Logan Paul) actually gets the win.The Masked Man Mystery: Who helped Bron Breakker pin CM Punk? Was it Seth? Austin Theory? We fantasy book the worst possible options and complain about interference finishes in a cage match.Final Thoughts: Was this "Cinema" or just a very long episode of Raw with a fence?Listen to the show that HAPPENS to talk about wrestling.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wrestling-soup--1425249/support.
The 2025 Survivor Series: WarGames, also promoted as Survivor Series: WarGames San Diego, was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was the 39th annual Survivor Series and took place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego, California, and held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This was the fourth annual Survivor Series based around the WarGames match, a team-based steel cage match where the roofless cage surrounds two rings placed side by side. Four matches were contested at the event, including two WarGames matches. In the main event, which was a men's WarGames match, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) defeated CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso), while in the women's WarGames match, which was the opening bout, AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, and Rhea Ripley defeated Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) by submission. The event also featured the return of Liv Morgan.Hosted by Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.

Jey Uso picked up a big win over The Miz, which sparked discussion about why Miz—Cena's most frequent opponent—wasn't included in the legend's retirement tour. Meanwhile, Rusev stunned Damien Priest, and Matt Cardona (formerly Zack Ryder) made his surprise return as a mystery challenger before falling to LA Knight, just as #FBCBeKnowin predicted. Is Cardona officially on his way back to WWE? Sheamus toppled Nakamura, while upcoming matches include GUNTHER vs. Je'Von Evans and Solo Sikoa vs. a mystery opponent on Raw, plus Carmelo Hayes vs. Bronson Reed and Penta vs. Finn Balor on SmackDown. The crew debates who got “snubbed” from the tournament after Cena captured the Intercontinental Championship to become a certified Grand Slam Champion. Attention then turns to Survivor Series War Games, with predictions nearly finalized. Team Punk—CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and a mystery partner—are slated to face The Vision's crew of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and another TBA. Bang's bold call: Damien Priest joins Team Punk while Aleister Black aligns with The Vision. Could Lesnar and Reigns return to shake up the card? And more importantly… do we care? Women's War Games is heating up as Nikki Bella's shocking heel turn against Stephanie Vaquer sets the stage: Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss, and two TBD teammates take on Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and The Kabuki Warriors. Meanwhile, SmackDown may stage a classic 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination match featuring MFT versus Sami Zayn, Rey Fenix, Nakamura, and The Motor City Machine Guns.
