Host Richard Cracknell is joined by Spurs Stadium Singer Tim Winstone, George Achillea and Marlon Via Spurs Kings TV as West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur traded first-half goals and settled for a stodgy 1-1 draw on Sunday that will leave neither particularly thrilled or disappointed — at least it wasn't another loss. Spurs went ahead in the 15th minute after Max Kilman got himself into all kinds of trouble and lost the ball to Mathys Tel deep in his own half. Tel quickly played it across the penalty area and found Wilson Odobert, who settled and fired past Alphonse Areola for his first Premier League goal with the club. It was 1-0 until the 28th minute, as Jarrod Bowen raced in behind Spurs' defense and shot between Guglielmo Vicario's legs from near the end line to reach double-digit PL goals for the third time in four seasons. With the draw, Spurs (38 points) remain 16th in the PL table, still a point and a place above West Ham (37 points). Suffice to say, the (league) season can't end soon enough for either side. Spurs, of course, still cling to the hope of winning the Europa League. They lead Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt 3-1 after their semifinal home leg on Thursday. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams alongside Patrick Tyrant and Marlon From Spurs Kings TV as Wolverhampton Wanderers moved closer to Premier League safety and heaped more misery on Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou with victory at Molineux. Postecoglou made six changes to the Spurs side that drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in their Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie, before a second meeting on Thursday that could shape his future. Wolves cashed in with a crucial win that moved them up to 16th place and 14 points clear of the bottom three with six games left. Vitor Pereira's side were on the way to a fourth straight top-flight victory for the first time since January 1972 inside two minutes when Rayan Ait-Nouri scored after latching on to Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario's punched clearance on the edge of the area.Wolves doubled their advantage seven minutes before half-time in a moment of high farce, with keeper Vicario pushing Marshall Munetsi's header on to backtracking defender Djed Spence and into his own net. Spurs pulled one back just before the hour mark when Mathys Tel bundled home at the far post after Wolves defender Nelson Semedo made a mess of clearing Brennan Johnson's cross. But Wolves restored their two-goal lead five minutes later when the excellent Ait-Nouri beat Cristian Romero far too easily before crossing for Jorgen Strand Larsen to complete the formalities with a simple finish and scoring for a fourth successive game.Substitute Richarlison gave Spurs brief hope four minutes from time when he bundled home after Wolves keeper Jose Sa touched Romero's header on to the bar. But there was more drama as substitute Matheus Cunha, on for Ait-Nouri after serving a four-match suspension, confirmed 15th-placed Tottenham's 17th league loss this season when Lucas Bergvall lost possession and the Brazilian raced clear and finished calmly. What a week it's been for Fraser Forster. First there was Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, which Tottenham won. Then there was Liverpool in the Premier League, which Tottenham resoundingly lost. The understudy to Guglielmo Vicario has been called out for his lack of ability when playing out, raising suspicions Spurs might enter the market in January with Vicario not back until mid-February. We run the rule over his two performances, plus that of Danny Ward, Jordan Pickford and Emi Martinez - the latter being crowned the FIFA Best Men's Goalkeeper for the second time in three years. Merry Christmas!
Spurs share the points twice this week with draws to Roma and Fulham. We're here to recap both matches and chat about the state of things after Guglielmo Vicario's ankle injury which will keep him out for months. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tottenhamdepot/support
Host Ricky Sacks was joined by returning regular guests Lee McQueen, Richard Cracknell and Jason McGovern as the panel react to the news of Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has undergone surgery after suffering a fractured ankle during the 4-0 victory at Manchester City on Saturday, the club has announced. Vicario completed the full 90 minutes of the game at the Etihad, but the club have revealed he suffered the injury during the match. The 28-year-old underwent treatment late in the first half and re-emerged limping after half-time, although he went on to make three second-half saves. Vicario is yet to miss a single minute of Premier League football since joining from Empoli last summer, playing all of their 38 games last season and each of the 12 league matches so far in 2024/25. Fraser Forster, who made 14 Premier League appearances for the club in his debut season in 2022/23, will be most likely to stand in for Vicario in his absence, having been on the bench for 11 of their 12 league matches so far this term. As conditions wreaked havoc across the country at the weekend, it was in non-league where goalkeepers truly felt the force of Storm Bert's brutal ball bamboozlement. We start with Wroxham and Gloucester City in the Isthmian League North and Southern Prem respectively. The Premier League then takes centre stage with Save of the Weekend contenders from Andre Onana and Guglielmo Vicario, the latter of whom is now set for a period on the sidelines after playing the majority of Tottenham's win over Man City with a broken bone in his foot. Alex McCarthy was under the spotlight in his 150th Premier League appearance for Southampton. In stepping in for Aaron Ramsdale, he conceded three in a defeat to Liverpool, the second of which saw Mo Salah steal in to gift The Reds an equaliser. In the EFL a series of injury time saves proved crucial for points saved and matches won, notably for Luton's Thomas Kaminski and Jacob Chapman of Huddersfield. A nod to Sol Brynn, too. Following a number of loan spells away from Middlesbrough, he finally bagged a first league appearance for the club. It came in a 6-2 away win at Oxford.

La selección francesa venció a Italia con marcador de 3 a 1 en la fase de grupos de la UEFA Nations League. Adrien Rabiot, con un doblete y un autogol de Guglielmo Vicario fueron los goles de los bleus en el compromiso.
Interfering or not interfering? Offside or not offside? And would Jose Sa have saved John Stones' header regardless? These are all questions delivered and deliberated upon in this week's show, as we look into that injury time winner for Man City at Wolves. Elsewhere, Matz Sels is making a name for himself with another match-winning performance for Nottingham Forest in their victory over Crystal Palace, Guglielmo Vicario and Caoimhin Kelleher racked up 50 appearances at Tottenham and Liverpool respectively, and Nick Pope made one of the most remarkable saves (with his head) you're likely to see. Ever. In the EFL, Thomas Kaminski sounded the second klaxon of the weekend, while Franco Ravizzoli and Billy Crellin continue to upturn the form of Wycombe and Accrington since stepping in.
Enjoy!!!
Just when you thought it was safe to listen to goalkeeping punditry... Up popped Roy Keane with some rather preposterous analysis of Ederson's antics during Man City's draw with Arsenal at the weekend. Along with claiming the Brazilian needed to "come with violence" in a bid to halt his fellow countryman in Gabriel, Keane also suggested Matz Sels should be docked a week's wages for allowing Danny Welbeck's free-kick to beat him in Sunday's other contest between Brighton and Nottingham Forest. It all makes for an action-packed Commentary Corner in this week's episode, followed by takes on the performances of Dean Henderson (MOM), Andre Onana (double save alert) and Guglielmo Vicario (handball or no handball?). In the EFL, Jacob Zetterstrom is rapidly making a name for himself following his summer switch to Derby, Harry Tyrer bagged Celebration of the Weekend right in front of Charlton fans as Blackpool left The Valley with three points and, for the second week in succession, Tommy Simkin pulled off a knee slide after claiming a late cross for Walsall.

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, Actor Darren Hartman and YouTuber Patrick Tyrant as Arsenal came out on top in a fiery north London derby as Gabriel's second-half header gave them a crucial victory at Tottenham. The Gunners were without captain Martin Odegaard and key midfielder Declan Rice through injury and suspension respectively and survived a stern examination from Ange Postecoglou's side to spark ecstatic scenes at the final whistle. Arsenal keeper David Raya excelled in the early stages to keep Spurs at bay with fine saves from Dejan Kulusevski while Spurs opposite number Guglielmo Vicario had to be at his best to keep out Kai Havertz's header. Tempers boiled over late in the first half as players from both sides clashed following Jurien Timber's challenge on Pedro Porro, setting the stage for a tense second period. It was Gabriel who made the vital contribution after 64 minutes, escaping the attentions of Cristian Romero to rise and power Bukako Saka's corner high past Vicario. Arsenal always relish any derby victory at Spurs but this one will taste especially sweet as it was achieved without two such significant figures in Odegaard and Rice while providing the perfect platform for next weekend's visit to champions Manchester City. On one hand they giveth... Goalkeeping punditry cranked up a notch at the weekend with Danny Murphy taking centre stage on MOTD. In showcasing Ederson's distribution in Man City's win over Brentford, he not only did so with understanding and well-reasoned analysis, but unknowingly carved a hole for the universe to strike a balance elsewhere. For over on Sky Sports, messrs Neville and Carragher continued their goalkeeping guffery with criticism of Guglielmo Vicario, Emi Martinez and Sam Johnstone - Neville at one point bizarrely stating Tottenham's Italian stopper had "frogs in his pants". In the Championship, James Trafford helped Burnley to a big win at Leeds, Jacob Zetterstrom bagged another clean sheet in a strong start to life at Derby and Anthony Patterson very nearly made a Save of the Season in Sunderland's loss at Plymouth. Tommy Simkin of Walsall takes Celebration of the Weekend and a shout out to Kasper Schmeichel for not conceding in his opening five league games for Celtic - the first time since 1906 any goalkeeper in Scotland has achieved such a feat.
The FC crew react to Ilkay Gundogan's possible return to Manchester City and explain why they think Pep Guardiola should welcome the return of the German midfielder. Plus, Frank Leboeuf joins the show to question why Chelsea are signing Joao Felix to a six-year contract and criticize Guglielmo Vicario for yelling at a teammate during Tottenham's draw on Monday. Son Heung-min, James Maddison and summer signings Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall all featured for Spurs, who were outplayed by the Bundesliga giants despite the absence of Harry Kane. Gabriel Vidovic capitalised on a poor pass out from Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to give Bayern an early lead, and Leon Goretzka doubled their advantage after the break. Pedro Porro's 25-yard strike reduced the arrears but Spurs were unable to find an equaliser against Bayern, who also gave former Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha a second-half run out.Ange Postecoglou's side are next in action on Saturday, 10 August, when they will face Bayern again at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Nominate Last Word On Spurs for Best Podcast - Premier League at the

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Actor TJ Ramini and Patrick Tyrant as Tottenham's dramatic decline continued as their hopes of reaching the Premier League's top four faded even further after they were well beaten by Liverpool at Anfield. Aston Villa's defeat at Brighton left the door open for Spurs to make a late push for next season's Champions League but even a late comeback could not prevent a fourth successive defeat as Liverpool found form once more after their own recent slump. Mohamed Salah put his touchline bust-up with manager Jurgen Klopp at West Ham behind him to open the scoring with a far-post header from Cody Gakpo's cross after 16 minutes, Andy Robertson adding the second right on half-time when Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario could only push out the Egyptian's shot. Spurs lost discipline and Vicario had to separate team-mates Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal as they went off at half-time, with matters not improving for Ange Postecoglou's side as they were over-run after the break by a rampant Liverpool. Gakpo headed the third from Harvey Elliott's delivery five minutes after the interval, the latter getting on the scoresheet himself in the 59th minute with a glorious curling finish from 20 yards into the top corner. Liverpool then inexplicably switched off to allow substitute Richarlison and Heung-Min Son to give Spurs unlikely hope but it was too late and they remain seven points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa with a game in hand. 'It's All Kicking Off!' (aka your favourite football podcast) returns for its Monday edition.First up, Ian and Chris question whether Pep Guardiola was talking nonsense when claiming that the dryness of the pitch at the City Ground impacted Chris Wood's ability to put the ball in the back of the net, as his Manchester City side survived a few scares vs Nottingham Forest. We then talk all things North London Derby: how Arsenal have learnt from their errors last season, whether Spurs are up for the fight and why Ben White played with Guglielmo Vicario's gloves right before the Gunners took a decisive corner. The lads question whether Mo Salah risks tarnishing his Liverpool legacy after having a touchline spat with manager Jurgen Klopp, and ask themselves whether the Egyptian is frustrated after another nearly season on Merseyside.AND we question whether Newcastle should embrace the chance to sell their stars and follow the lead set by Aston Villa, a side regenerated by the cash raised by Jack Grealish's exit.Presenters: Ian Ladyman and Chris SuttonProducer: Henry Williams Hosted on Acast. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Lee McQueen, Patrick Tyrant and Jason McGovern as Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham at the London Stadium as they dropped points in the Champions League race. Spurs had the chance to leapfrog Aston Villa before their game against Manchester City tomorrow but they couldn't take advantage. Brennan Johnson gave Ange Postecoglou's side an early lead as he tapped in from close range after Timo Werner's low cross. That goal rewarded the visitors for their positive start but they were pegged back soon after. Against the run of play, Kurt Zouma equalised from a corner and that reinvigorated the Hammers following a slow opening 15 minutes. Their threat from set pieces frightened Tottenham all evening and they piled on the pressure towards the end of the first half. That pressure would disappear after the break though, with Spurs dominant. However, David Moyes' men would have the best chance to score a winner through Michail Antonio. Antonio shrugged off Micky van de Ven, leaving him one-on-one with Guglielmo Vicario from six yards, but he shot straight at the goalkeeper. That chance was the only major opportunity for both teams in the second half and neither could find a winner as the game ended level. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Lee McQueen, Russ Williams and Jason McGovern as Tottenham missed the chance to move into the Premier League top four as Rodrigo Muniz scored two more goals to fire Fulham to an impressive victory at Craven Cottage. Brazilian Muniz found the net either side of Sasa Lukic's first strike for the Cottagers to take his total to seven goals in his past seven games. The striker slotted home in the first half after controlling Antonee Robinson's cross and then reacted quickest to bundle in the loose ball at a second-half corner in a fully deserved win for the home side. Spurs, who would have gone above fourth-placed Aston Villa with victory, were surprisingly lacklustre from the outset. They would have gone behind early on if not for blocks by Radu Dragusin and Cristian Romero to deny Andreas Pereira, while Guglielmo Vicario also saved well from Lukic. James Maddison shot narrowly wide in the first half and Timo Werner failed to convert with the goal gaping in the second as Ange Postecoglou's side failed to back up impressive wins over Crystal Palace and Villa in the previous two games. Guglielmo Vicario and Jose Sa staked their claims in Wolves' win at Tottenham, while Gavin Bazunu, Viljami Sinisalo, Liam Roberts and James Belshaw fly the EFL flag for Southampton, Exeter, Barnsley and Harrogate respectively. Stat of the Week arrives courtesy of Brighton, who broke a Premier League record by making a 15th starting goalkeeper change in the victory at Sheffield United. Bart Verbruggen's inclusion eclipsed the 14 racked up by Manchester United in 2000-01 - and we still have more than ten games to play.
Dan discusses Tottenham Hotspur's loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers, including Ange Postecoglou's press conference comments, Ben Davies and Emerson Royal's roles, Dejan Kulusevski's moment of brilliance, and the super saves from Guglielmo Vicario. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by returning regular panellists Russ Williams, TJ Ramini and Darren Altman as Brennan Johnson scored deep into additional time to deliver a come-from-behind Premier League victory for Tottenham against Brighton. Brighton's Pascal Gross opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Danny Welbeck had been fouled by Micky van de Ven, sending goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario the wrong way. Tottenham responded well to falling behind, creating a raft of chances, but Jason Steele made several good saves to deny the in-form Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski, while James Maddison curled narrowly wide. The momentum remained firmly in Spurs' favour when the second half got under way with Rodrigo Bentancur, Maddison and Timo Werner attempting efforts at goal as the majority of the action took place deep in Brighton territory. They continued to probe and that pressure eventually told when Sarr latched on to a lovely through ball from Kulusevski before finishing at the second attempt after his initial shot was deflected on to the post. Captain Son Heung-min was introduced after the equaliser, making his first appearance of 2024 for Spurs after returning from duty with South Korea at the Asian Cup, and the forward had a major hand in the winning goal as he laid the ball across goal for Johnson to convert. He may have been on the losing side, but Mark Flekken broke Premier League records for Brentford in their clash with Man City on Monday night. We briefly discuss his start to life in England, in addition to some familiarly rough treatment dished out to Guglielmo Vicario in Tottenham's draw at Everton. A day of deflections, own goals and rebounds occurred in the EFL, where Bristol Rovers youngster Jed Ward excelled in claiming his first clean sheet in professional football. Welcome to the Club, Jed. Lastly, GKs On Their Way has its final hurrah before the summer.
The boys discuss yet another massive weekend in the world of soccer as MetLife Stadium is awarded the 2026 World Cup Final, Arsenal celebrate a vital 3-1 win over Liverpool and Inter Miami end their less-than-memorable tour of Asia. Plus, Gary O'Neil brings honor to his endangered name, Chelsea suffer a bad defeat to Wolves and Guglielmo Vicario continues getting pushed around.---And just a reminder: We've partnered up with Manscaped during the month of February! Host Marcus Buckland is joined by Dan Kilpatrick of the Evening Standard and special guest Sean Walsh of 90min.com to pick over the bones of the frustrating 2-2 draw at Everton on Saturday. Richarlison made it 9 goals in 8 league games with two brilliant strikes but Spurs conceded late. Guglielmo Vicario struggled at set pieces again while some fans questioned Ange Postecoglou's subs.
Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, Actor TJ Ramini and Matt Hayes as Nathan Ake's late goal gave Manchester City their first victory in six visits to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and a place in the FA Cup fifth round. City looked likely to have to settle a replay after missing a succession of chances before Ake scored their first goal at this stadium after five successive defeats with two minutes left as Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario failed to hold Kevin de Bruyne's corner under pressure from Ruben Dias. It was a bitter blow to Spurs after a defiant rearguard action but just reward for City, who had been the better side only to miss the opportunities that had come their way before Ake bundled home from close range. Spurs barely registered an attack threat, while City had an early Oscar Bobb strike ruled out for offside, Vicario also saving well from Bernardo Silva. De Bruyne was uncharacteristically wasteful with a golden opportunity after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg had gifted possession to Phil Foden. In a dramatic finale, with a replay looking certain, Ake struck to spark wild scenes of celebration among the 9,000 City fans who had made the journey to north London. Tom Barclay of The Sun and Tom Allnutt of the Times give their takes on Spurs' 3-3 draw at the Etihad and consider if Ange Postecoglou's squad has more depth to it than first thought. Guglielmo Vicario's impact, the return of Cristian Romero and West Ham at home are all discussed.
Premier League, Championship and FA Cup First Round action is discussed and dissected this week. The standard debate around David Raya kicks things off, followed by Guglielmo Vicario's almost point-saving performance as Tottenham fell at home to Chelsea. In the second tier, Illan Meslier was praised as "the best goalkeeper in the league" by boss Daniel Farke, while many a non-league goalkeeper made their name in progressing to the next stage of the FA Cup. Goalkeeper Assist klaxon: Joe Day of Yeovil Town.
Host Ricky Sacks is joined by returning guests Jason McGovern, Patrick Tyrant, and Vass Koni from the Dr Tottenham Podcast as Tottenham Hotspur moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League table by continuing their superb start to the season with a win at Crystal Palace. After a tight first half in which Odsonne Edouard went closest with a low strike that was pushed away by Guglielmo Vicario, the visitors took control after the break. They benefitted from a huge slice of fortune with the opener when Palace defender Joel Ward turned James Maddison's cross into his own net. But there was nothing lucky about their second as a lovely move involving Maddison and Brennan Johnson ended with Son Heung-min firing home from six yards for his eighth goal of the season. Jordan Ayew thumped in a stunning strike after taking the ball down on his chest in stoppage time for Palace, but there was to be no equaliser as Tottenham continued their fine form under new boss Ange Postecoglou. The victory means Tottenham move on to 26 points, five ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal, who both have a game in hand and can close the gap over the weekend. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by returning guests Actor Darren Hartman, Podcaster Barnaby Slater and Entepeneur Samuel Powell as Tottenham Hotspur returned to the top of the Premier League as goals from Son Heung-min and James Maddison comfortably saw off Fulham. Spurs had only dropped points this season in London derbies - against Arsenal and Brentford - but they were always in control against a limited Fulham side. Captain Son curled in an excellent goal in the 36th minute after Calvin Bassey's poor pass was cut out by Micky van de Ven. Maddison doubled the lead in the second half with an almost identical goal, as another Bassey pass was cut out and the England playmaker was teed up by Son to slot home confidently. Fulham went closest when Joao Palhinha forced Guglielmo Vicario into an impressive stop with a header from a corner. Fulham caused Tottenham problems on the counter attack at times but could not make Spurs pay before Maddison's goal secured the win to move Spurs two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the league. Marcus Buckland and Dan Kilpatrick react to Spurs' 2-0 win over Fulham on Monday night, which sent Ange Postecoglou's side two points clear at the top of the Premier League. Goals from the Heung-min Son and the outstanding James Maddison were the difference but Guglielmo Vicario and the back four were influential again, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg made a case for further inclusion with a professional display.
Raya and Ramsale? Again? Yep, following the weekend's clash between Chelsea and Arsenal, that debate takes centre stage once more. We discuss whether Mikel Arteta's current No1 was at fault for Mykhailo Mudryk's cross-cum-shot, whether criticism of his performance was justified and whether Aaron Ramsdale should be "banging the manager's door down" as some pundits have suggested. Elsewhere in the Premier League, Alphonse Areola racked up a 50th appearance for West Ham, Alisson became the first Liverpool goalkeeper since Ray Clemence in 1976 to record four consecutive Merseyside Derby shutouts, and Guglielmo Vicario continues to earn deserved plaudits at Tottenham. In the EFL, another summer recruit in Mads Hermansen marches on with Leicester, Sam Tickle bagged an important clean sheet for Wigan in their win at Exeter and Doncaster's Louis Jones sounded the Goalkeeper Assist klaxon.

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by a returning bumper returning regular panel in Lee McQueen, Richard Cracknell, Jason McGovern and Patrick Tyrant as we review a much-changed Tottenham side showing plenty of promise but the club's pre-season ultimately ended in defeat as Barcelona won 4-2 to lift the Joan Gamper Trophy. Robert Lewandowski gave the hosts a very early lead in Spain, but Spurs responded impressively and turned it around by half-time as Oliver Skipp scored twice in just over ten minutes. The second of those looked like being the winner as the visitors remained in front heading into the final ten minutes, but three Barcelona goals ensured they won their traditional curtain-raiser for the 11th year in a row. We also discuss the signings of Van de Ven, 22, from Wolfsburg for an initial 40m euros (£34m) which could rise to a reported 50m euros (£43m) with add-ons.Veliz, 19, has joined the London club from Rosario Central for a reported £13m fee subject to a work permit. Both players have signed six-year contracts at Tottenham. They are Tottenham's fourth and fifth summer signings respectively following the arrivals of England midfielder James Maddison, Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and Israel winger Manor Solomon.
