Laurent goes live to Baku COP29 to discuss with Bruce “Almighty” Douglas, CEO Global Renewable Alliance and tireless promoter of Renewable Energy. He is the one who coins the famous “Triple Renewables” rallying cry, and has be rewarded by joining the precious list of TIME 100 Climate leaders. With Bruce, Laurent dives into COP. Shambolic, Rudderless and Essential nevertheless. The world of renewables is at the centre stage, dealing with diplomats who are doing politics without a calculator while policy makers are busy inventing more alphabet soup concepts while ignoring geopolitics.COP is the summary of the world's contradictions. COPs are useless and irreplaceable at the same time.

Shambolic start to this week as we reveal an ongoing saga behind the scenes regarding our bank account - we know, riveting stuff. Kush goes full Karen at some poor bank branch workers before donning the tin foil hat as everyone tries to steal his data. The FIFA Women's World Cup is currently on in Australia (and New Zealand) and Miguel gives us his unfiltered opinion on the Matilda's exhilarating 1-0 win over Ireland in their opening game.We also bring back a fan favourite segment, “Bullslut” but with a twist this week in “Bullslut: Battle Royale.” Before we dive in, we finally reveal the forfeit for this season of games. In case you missed it, we have been tallying the scores of the games after every week and come the end of September, the loser will be doing the Maccas Challenge where they must sit in a McDonald's for 24 hours, however for every burger they eat, an hour is taken off the clock. Anyway in “Bullslut: Battle Royale,” it's Team Rohit and Miguel vs Team Kush and Sen and let's just say it doesn't end well for one team.“Banter Reviews” is back after a long hiatus as we look at the global phenomenon that is Barbenheimer. We've tweaked the format of this segment slightly to make it more palatable - with an overall rating out of 10, rather than 5 different scores out of 8.Also this week: Commonwealth Bank, Mexican Waves, the patriarchy and Mattel.Segments this week:The Logue: Tired of reaching around each other (at least on the podcast), the boys have instead decided to reach around the week's news stories, events and viral trends.Bullslut: Battle Royale: A more aggressive take on our traditional bullslut game where the boys now gang up on each other with no mercy.Banter Reviews: The boys “review” things and give them obviously logical ratings, to be honest we're not even sure how this segment works.___________________________________________________________FULL PODCAST EPISODES
Mindboggling .. Disappointing and confusing ... are just some of the reactions from politicians to the resignation of Michael Wood from all his remaining cabinet portfolios. Michael Wood had already been stood down from his transport role after revelations he owned shares in Auckland Airport. Yesterday it was revealed he'd also failed to declare shares in Chorus, Spark, and the National Australia Bank. Mr Wood had been involved in decisions directly relating to those businesses in the past year. Ingrid Hipkiss got the reaction of National Party public service spokesperson Simeon Brown.
Vinny Perth and Nathan Murphy joined Ger Gilroy to reflect on Ireland's poor showing in their 2-1 loss at Greece which heaps more pressure on manager Stephen Kenny.

“Shambolic” maybe an overused word when it comes to my favorite band, The Replacements, but it’s an apt term for tonight’s show. Or at least the first ten minutes. Yes, it’s a mini-disaster. After airing this week’s selection for the “52 Weeks of Teenage Kicks” series by The Vibrators, I talked about the fact that you can now purchase the version I world premiered last week by Jeremy Porter at his bandcamp. (http://jeremyporter.bandcamp.com). In fact, please go purchase it now, as all proceeds go to the Hater Kitty Army. But after introducing a re-airing the tune, my broadcast program decided to completely rearrange my playlist and a completely different tune aired for a few seconds. I quickly fixed the issue, though, and everything was fine after that. Tonight’s show is a collecton of tunes that I’ve been listening to in my spare time. There’s a set devoted to my favorite rock and roll couple, Amy Rigby and Wreckless Eric, inspired by “Do You Remember This”, a clever little tale of their relationship that may or may not be true. There’s a set that sort of centers around Johnny Thunders, beginning with a couple of Kinks songs before heading into a […]

Six points from our last three games aren't to be sniffed at, especially as they included two fortunate 1-0 victories and a 5-1 thrashing at home to Newcastle. That run of results leaves us three points above the relegation zone with nine games to play as we now switch our focus to Thursday's Europa Conference League quarter-final first-leg trip to Gent. Then we welcome league leaders and title hopefuls Arsenal to London Stadium on Sunday, which is gearing up to be one of the most predictable results of the season so far. Joining us this week is Stefan Smet, a Belgian sports journalist, who gives us the full lowdown on Gent ahead of Thursday, before friend of the show, massive Gooner and Sports Editor at The Sun, Dan Cutts, returns to let us know how nervous he's getting as Arsenal edge ever closer to a first Premier League title in 20 years. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he cannot explain why they were so poor in their 3-0 defeat at Wolves in the Premier League, and says he can only do so much to prepare the side, and it's up to them to perform on the pitch. The former Arsenal title winner Perry Groves described their performance as 'shambolic' and believes they've lost their identity, whilst the former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor says that Klopp isn't motivating the squad anymore - with several Liverpool fans calling the GameDay Phone In to question whether Klopp is the right man to take them forward. Everton manager Sean Dyche says they can't get carried away despite beating the league leaders Arsenal 1-0, whilst Gunners boss praises "Burnley" for their performance at Goodison Park. Elsewhere, the new England Rugby Head Coach Steve Borthwick says mistakes were always going to happen as his first game in charge ended in a 23-29 defeat to Scotland in the Six Nations at Twickenham. We talk a lot about Atlanta United's win over Toronto FC's 4-2. It was great evening at the benz, but scary for a soccer brainiac, if you are Dave. Why play 1 man back when we are up 3-2 in the 80th min, only if you are crazy Pineda! Park the bus. No thanks he says, let's gamble the season. Purata's hattrick was worth it I guess.... Shambolic.
