Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Compère Richard Cracknell, Actor Darren Hart and Billie T as defeat to Chelsea meant our battle against relegation will go right down to the final day after a 2-1 defeat to at Stamford Bridge means we failed to pick up the point we needed to all but guarantee Premier League safety. Going into the game at Stamford Bridge two points ahead of West Ham United and with a much better goal difference, we knew one draw from our final two matches against Chelsea and Everton would pretty much do the job, we discuss with the guys the phycological pressure going into the final day, playing at home, where we have only won two league games all season. We discuss our concerns of both where the goals are coming from, and the nature of how we are conceding goals from continuous individual errors. The panel also reflect on the bonkers moment towards the end of the game, where Cucurella dragged Micky van de Ven to the ground and was booked. Spurs were stunned not to get a penalty but referee Stuart Attwell claimed to have blown the whistle before Mathys Tel's corner was taken. Liam Delap was then booked for blatant elbow. James Maddison was livid and lambasted the referee immediately after the full time whistle, closely followed by Roberto De Zerbi who also wasn't happy. It lead us into the conversation as to whether we feel Spurs are being refereed differently to other teams this season. We close on Roberto De Zerbi's rallying cry where he stated ‘Sunday is the final for Tottenham. Not Bilbao against Manchester United. The most important game is Sunday. Now we play for something more than a trophy. This is for the pride of the club and its history.' We question whether De Zerbi can pull-off the great escape despite all the imitigating factors he has been up against since the second he accepted the Spurs job. Monday night saw Spurs once again spurn an opportunity to make the final two games of the season much less stressful, as Mathys Tel went from hero to villain. The Dutchman scored a screamer before bicycle kicking Ethan Ampadu inside the penalty area, allowing Leeds to grab an equaliser and keep the pressure on Roberto De Zerbi's side. Former Spurs midfielder Michael Carrick is having a better time of things lately, and is set to be offered the chance to continue as Manchester United boss on a permanent basis after delivering Champions League qualification from his interim spell. Another former Carrick place of work is Middlesbrough, who were eliminated from the Championship playoffs by Southampton on Tuesday night, but want to be reinstated after allegations of espionage overshadowed the occasion. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Actor Darren Hart, Luke and Marlon as a drama-filled evening finished all square on Monday as we picked up what could prove to be an important point in our battle against relegation, although we were frustrated not to have taken more on the night. Having seen West Ham United lose on Sunday, we knew a victory would be a massive step towards survival and gave it a real go against Leeds United, with Mathys Tel scoring a stunning opener after a goalless first half. But we were pegged back 16 minutes from time when the visitors were awarded a penalty which Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted. We discuss a game in which both sides had plenty of chances throughout the game, Antonin Kinsky making two world-class saves while Joao Palhinha, Pedro Porro, Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur also going close for us. The result continues our long run without a win in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but it's now four games unbeaten going into the final two matches of the season, as as debate whether Spurs will remain in the Premier League at the expense of West Ham United. So we're not out of it. We're not in it either. Spurs 1-1 Leeds at home, another night that started with hope and ended with that same nervy feeling that's followed this team around all season. Mathys Tel gave us a goal worth the ticket price. A proper curler from the edge of the box, his fourth of the season, the kind of finish you actually remember. Then a few minutes later he flings a leg at a clearance, catches Ampadu in the face, and Calvert-Lewin levels from the spot. Two contrasting moments that pretty much sum up his year in N17. But the moment everyone will be talking about is James Maddison stepping back on a Premier League pitch for the first time in 368 days. Standing ovation. Twenty minutes including stoppage time. Sharp from the off, nearly won us a late penalty, looked like the player we've been missing all year. Whatever you think of where Spurs are right now, that moment lifted the roof. The bad news? One win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since December. Two points clear of West Ham with two games to play. Chelsea away on Tuesday. Everton at home on the final day. We're still above the line, but only just, and if West Ham win at Newcastle on Sunday we could be back in the bottom three before we even kick a ball at Stamford Bridge. De Zerbi wasn't happy with the officials. Kinsky was brilliant again. The fight goes on. Pull up a chair, get the kettle on. Full reaction, every angle, and the survival picture as it stands. Jack is joined by Phil to discuss the seemingly inevitable exit of Thomas Frank that is... still yet to happen. Despite an awful 2-1 loss at home to West Ham and intense gossip suggesting he would be sacked on Monday, the manager has apparently received a vote of confidence from the board, citing a "good lunch" with Vinai Venkatesham and Johan Lange. We ask how on earth they have come to this decision when Frank simply doesn't look fit for the role. We also turn the spotlight on the squad. Do certain players need to take a long, hard look at themselves? Is there a culture at Tottenham that allows this group to constantly hide behind the manager or the board when things go wrong? We discuss the rumours linking Xavi Hernandez to the job. Is he really the right man, or are there flags present already? Finally, attention turns to the Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund. We question Frank's controversial decision to remove Mathys Tel from the European squad to reinstate Dominic Solanke, and pick through the key quotes from a defiant pre-match press conference. On this episode of Rule the Roost, Jack and Phil reflect on Daniel Levy's Tottenham career following last week's announcement of his departure. Levy built a reputation as a ruthless and cut-throat chairman, but why do we feel strangely sympathetic now he's gone? We also look at the latest Spurs takeover rumours, with reports that two bids have already been turned down, and ask whether a buyout could be on the horizon or if ENIC Tavistock will cling on to power. Elsewhere, we discuss Mathys Tel speaking out after being omitted from the Champions League squad and why we're backing him to bounce back. And for some reason Tom Hardy's Bane voice gets a mention. Jack is joined once again by Paul O Keefe to reflect on Tottenham's transfer window. With several proven, ready-made additions arriving, should Spurs fans be content with the business done, or is the hunger for more signings a generational trait of modern football support? The pair also weigh up whether outgoings could have been handled better, and debate the situation of Mathys Tel, who finds himself left out of the Champions League squad. Should we feel sympathy for him or expect him to rise to the challenge like others before him? Paul also takes on a range of listener questions, from Bentancur's contract situation to stadium naming rights, whether Lange has dropped the ball with the Champions League squad, and even shares the funniest Daniel Levy story he's heard. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by George Achillea, Connor and Ash as Tottenham announced their squad for the 2025/26 Champions League league phase. Manager Thomas Frank left out six big names for the club's latest European campaign. Spurs' 25-man squad for their return to Europe's elite club competition doesn't feature Kota Takai, Radu Dragusin, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski or Mathys Tel. The omission of England international Maddison, 28, comes as no surprise. The midfielder suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury in the club's pre-season friendly against Newcastle in August. Summer signing Takai is also in the treatment room with a plantar fascia injury, and his return date is currently unknown. Dragusin and Kulusevski haven't made the cut as they, like Maddison, are dealing with knee injuries. t's understood that Dragusin could be back to full fitness late next month. Sweden international Kulusevski, meanwhile, is on course to return in late November. Host Richard Cracknell is joined by Spurs Stadium Singer Tim Winstone, George Achillea and Marlon Via Spurs Kings TV as West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur traded first-half goals and settled for a stodgy 1-1 draw on Sunday that will leave neither particularly thrilled or disappointed — at least it wasn't another loss. Spurs went ahead in the 15th minute after Max Kilman got himself into all kinds of trouble and lost the ball to Mathys Tel deep in his own half. Tel quickly played it across the penalty area and found Wilson Odobert, who settled and fired past Alphonse Areola for his first Premier League goal with the club. It was 1-0 until the 28th minute, as Jarrod Bowen raced in behind Spurs' defense and shot between Guglielmo Vicario's legs from near the end line to reach double-digit PL goals for the third time in four seasons. With the draw, Spurs (38 points) remain 16th in the PL table, still a point and a place above West Ham (37 points). Suffice to say, the (league) season can't end soon enough for either side. Spurs, of course, still cling to the hope of winning the Europa League. They lead Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt 3-1 after their semifinal home leg on Thursday. That left us with a mountain to climb, we racked up 22 efforts at goal to Forest's four as Wilson Odobert, Mathys Tel, and Dejan Kulusevski had chances in the first half, Deki then had a header cleared off the line in the second half and Matt Selz denied Richarlison twice before Richy finally planted home a header from Pedro Porro's cross on 87 minutes. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams alongside Patrick Tyrant and Marlon From Spurs Kings TV as Wolverhampton Wanderers moved closer to Premier League safety and heaped more misery on Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou with victory at Molineux. Postecoglou made six changes to the Spurs side that drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in their Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie, before a second meeting on Thursday that could shape his future. Wolves cashed in with a crucial win that moved them up to 16th place and 14 points clear of the bottom three with six games left. Vitor Pereira's side were on the way to a fourth straight top-flight victory for the first time since January 1972 inside two minutes when Rayan Ait-Nouri scored after latching on to Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario's punched clearance on the edge of the area.Wolves doubled their advantage seven minutes before half-time in a moment of high farce, with keeper Vicario pushing Marshall Munetsi's header on to backtracking defender Djed Spence and into his own net. Spurs pulled one back just before the hour mark when Mathys Tel bundled home at the far post after Wolves defender Nelson Semedo made a mess of clearing Brennan Johnson's cross. But Wolves restored their two-goal lead five minutes later when the excellent Ait-Nouri beat Cristian Romero far too easily before crossing for Jorgen Strand Larsen to complete the formalities with a simple finish and scoring for a fourth successive game.Substitute Richarlison gave Spurs brief hope four minutes from time when he bundled home after Wolves keeper Jose Sa touched Romero's header on to the bar. But there was more drama as substitute Matheus Cunha, on for Ait-Nouri after serving a four-match suspension, confirmed 15th-placed Tottenham's 17th league loss this season when Lucas Bergvall lost possession and the Brazilian raced clear and finished calmly.
