Vo svete slovenského klubového futbalu by sme za poslednú dekádu len ťažko hľadali legionára, ktorý by na fanúšikov zanechal taký výrazný dojem. Keď v roku 2018 prichádzal do hlavného mesta Slovenska, bol to útočník hľadajúci stratenú formu a herné sebavedomie. Keď odchádzal, bol z neho ofenzívny fenomén, ktorý lámal historické strelecké rekordy a do klubovej kasy priniesol milióny z lukratívneho prestupu do Sportingu Lisabon.Dnes je Andraž Šporar späť na Tehelnom poli a v najnovšej epizóde podcastu Striedame! sa s moderátormi Julom a Muťom podelil o fascinujúci príbeh svojej európskej futbalovej odysey.Skúsený slovinský reprezentant vzal poslucháčov na úprimnú cestu svojimi futbalovými začiatkami, ktoré neboli vždy len zaliate slnkom. Pri spomienkach na svoj prvý veľký zahraničný angažmán vo švajčiarskom Bazileji odhalil aj úsmevné, no z dnešného pohľadu až bizarné pozadie svojho prestupu. Ako sám s úsmevom na perách v podcaste priznáva, pri podpise zmluvy s vtedy úradujúcim švajčiarskym majstrom mal obrovské šťastie.„Ja som tam nerobil ani zdravotnú prehliadku. Bol som prekvapený, že mi nespravili MRI kolena a členkov... Bol som posledný, kto ju nerobil,“ spomína Andraž Šporar na momenty pred tým, než ho na dlhé mesiace odstavilo nepríjemné zranenie šľachy. Z ambiciózneho kroku do tímu hrajúceho Ligu majstrov sa tak dostal do obdobia frustrácie, ktoré nevyriešilo ani hosťovanie v nemeckom Bielefelde, kde sa podľa vlastných slov cítil mimoriadne zle.Kariérny zlom a znovuzrodenie gólového inštinktu prišli až so sťahovaním na Slovensko. Bratislavský Slovan mu poskytol presne to, čo mladý útočník potreboval – ofenzívny herný systém a absolútnu dôveru. A good week to have a bad week? Probably. But for FPL managers who started any of Joe Rodon, Bryan Mbeumo or 23 point scoring Micky Van De Ven it was probably a good week.
