Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Co-Host Lee McQueen and returning guests to the Last Word On Spurs in Talia Coren and Harry Brooks to this edition of the Last Word On Spurs. Harry Kane returned to Tottenham action as Dele Alli's early penalty saw them edge past Wolves 1-0, with the hosts once again suffering from a lack of final product. All eyes were on the teamsheet at 1pm, where Nuno Espirito Santo had named Kane on the bench for the first time since his delayed return to Spurs after Euro 2020. The striker's future remains very much undecided with nine days left of the summer transfer window, but came on as a 72nd-minute substitute. The away fans sang 'Harry Kane, he's one of our own' as he replaced Heung-Min Son. Alli's ninth-minute penalty proved to be the decisive goal, the midfielder firing his spot-kick into the bottom corner after he had been brought down by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa. But Wolves dominated much of the game, spurred on by a boisterous Molineux crowd, and will feel aggrieved to have not been awarded their own penalty soon after as Olivier Skipp bundled Nelson Semedo to the floor. However, as was the story under Nuno last season, Wolves suffered from a lack of final product with Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore both going close in a string of efforts as they lost a second successive game 1-0. Tottenham maintain their perfect start to the new Premier League season, with Hugo Lloris marking his 300th Premier League appearance for Spurs with a clean sheet. #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #COYS #EPL #UECL #EuropaConferenceLeague #CarabaoCup #FACup #손흥민 #HeungMinSon #HarryKane

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen along with returning guests to the show in Abbi Summers and George Achillea to the Last Word On Spurs. Nuno Espirito Santo's Tottenham reign got off to the perfect start as his side shocked champions Manchester City with a 1-0 win courtesy of Heung-Min Son's second-half strike on a pulsating Super Sunday. With the preamble to this standout fixture in the Premier League's opening weekend dominated by the future of Harry Kane, it was once more Son who stepped up to the mark, deciding a fiercely-competitive contest with his precise finish on 55 minutes. City rarely threatened in response as Kevin de Bruyne was belatedly introduced to draw a fine save from Hugo Lloris but Spurs held on to secure three points that represents a major statement of intent after a summer of turmoil off the pitch. The result continues their recent stronghold over City, who have now lost on all four of their visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in all competitions, the first time Pep Guardiola has lost four such away games in a row in his managerial career. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Richard Cracknell, Lee McQueen, Antony Costa and Ricky J Norwood on this Last Word On Spurs.Leicester missed out on the Champions League for a second successive season after a 4-2 defeat to Tottenham on the final day saw them finish in fifth, while Spurs secured their European place. The Foxes needed results to go their way elsewhere, but had to secure their own victory first to ensure the best possible chance of finishing in the top four.It began well for them too as Leicester were awarded a penalty inside 15 minutes. Toby Alderweireld caught Jamie Vardy around the ankles, and the striker fired home from the spot (18). But just before half-time, Harry Kane (41) finished superbly to secure his third Premier League Golden Boot - the joint-highest number of wins in history with Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer - in possibly his last game for Tottenham. The second half followed a similar pattern. Leicester were awarded a second penalty shortly after the break, won by Vardy again after a tangle with Davinson Sanchez. The striker scored in an almost identical fashion too, slotting home another confident penalty (52).With Chelsea trailing Aston Villa and Leicester ahead, they were in pole position to finish in the Champions League places, but a late flurry from Tottenham condemned the Foxes to the Europa League. The second equaliser was a bizarre moment as a Heung-Min Son corner defected off Kasper Schmeichel's hand (76) and into the back of the net.A Gareth Bale double (87, 90+6) then fired Tottenham into seventh, securing their own place in the Europa Conference League next season. They have also finished a point and place above Arsenal.#THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS

Harry Kane set up two goals for Gareth Bale and scored two himself as a stylish Spurs beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Bale continued his resurgence by scoring the opener, tapping home Kane's cross (25), but Palace hit back out of nowhere through Christian Benteke's superb header from Luka Milivojevic's delivery (45+1). Spurs upped the ante after the break, regaining their lead through Bale's sixth goal in six games, scoring with a close-range header from another Kane assist, his 14th in the Premier League this season (49), before Kane got in on the act with a brilliant double. First, Kane curled a stunning, sweeping effort into the top-left corner from the edge of the box (52), before simply finishing off a fine team move from Heung-Min Son's unselfish centre (76). While Bale continues his resurgence, Spurs' talisman Kane has now directly been involved in 40 goals in 36 games in all competitions this season (23 goals and 16 assists), the most of any player for a Premier League club. The result means Spurs move up to sixth, just two points off the top four with 11 games remaining, while Palace are 13th, eight points above the drop zone. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTCRY #SPURS

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Jamie Brown from the Daily Hotspur, Richard Cracknell and Anthony Costa on this edition of the Last Word On Spurs. Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard fired West Ham into the top four as the Hammers withstood a late Tottenham fightback to hang on for a 2-1 derby victory at the London Stadium. West Ham were ahead inside five minutes thanks to the returning Antonio's fifth goal against Spurs, before loanee Lingard continued his fine form with the Hammers' second early in the second half. It was the first time a Jose Mourinho side had conceded in the opening five minutes of both halves in a Premier League game and there was no way back for Spurs, as the frame of the West Ham goal thwarted a valiant late rally. Lucas Moura headed in from a corner to give Spurs a lifeline before substitute Gareth Bale's stunning volley cannoned off the bar and Heung-Min Son's late effort deflected off the post as David Moyes secured his first victory against Mourinho in the Premier League at the 16th attempt. The victory sees momentum continue to build behind West Ham's European charge, with the Hammers moving into fourth, nine points ahead of rivals Spurs, who stay ninth after losing five of their last six Premier League games. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Chris Cowlin, Jason McGovern and Richard Cracknell on this edition of the Last Word On Spurs. Tottenham took a giant stride towards booking their place in the Europa League last 16 as Gareth Bale scored during a resounding 4-1 win over Wolfsberger in Budapest. The last-32 first-leg tie was moved from Austria to Hungary's Puskas Arena due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Heung-Min Son gave Tottenham a 13th-minute lead when he headed in Bale's cross. Bale's brilliant finish made it 2-0 before the half-hour before Lucas Moura's solo effort extended Spurs' advantage (34). Michael Liendl gave Wolfsberger hope early in the second half as he scored from the penalty spot after Moussa Sissoko needlessly clattered into Christopher Wernitznig (55). But a late finish from Carlos Vinicius ensured Tottenham take a three-goal cushion back to London ahead of the second leg next Wednesday. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #WACTOT

Joe and Seb are joined by Karam to look at the key issues facing Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of Gameweek 23. Just two hours before our Scoutcast trio were due to start this latest episode, dramatic news broke concerning the upcoming schedule. As predicted by eagle eye Detective Karam earlier in the week, Manchester City and Everton both have two fixtures in Gameweek 24. And there's more. Burnley and Fulham also play twice that week, then Leeds and Southampton have a brace of matches in Gameweek 25. In this hastily revamped Double Gameweek special Scoutcast, Joe, Seb and Karam try to make sense of the latest developments and how it impacts on their strategy for the remainder of the campaign. This is particularly in the context of Gameweek 26, when further extra fixtures are due to be scheduled, and Gameweek 29, when the FA Cup is set to lead to blank fixtures for a handful of teams. Seb takes the strain regarding Double Gameweek strategy, while Karam moves the discussion along to help Fantasy Premier League managers pinpoint the best players to pick. Whether a Gameweek has the regulation ten fixtures or more, the same rule applies – make sure the best player is captained. Joe takes a look at how FPL managers can, perhaps, better choose their armband contenders. This includes a deep dive into the Fantasy Football Scout members area to look at favourable match ups, such as when aerial threat specialists meet teams that concede from headers regularly. There's some smooth bench points to look at in our round up of Gameweek 22 and Gameweek 23's transfer and captaincy plans are revealed. This latest episode of the Scoutcast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel during the final match of Gameweek 22 on Thursday night; Chelsea's encounter with Tottenham and Spurs star man Heung-Min Son (£9.7m)'s audition for a place in our squads when he meets West Brom this weekend. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Try Football Index - https://bit.ly/FootballIndexFPL 18+ https://www.begambleaware.org/ Full T&Cs - http://trade.footballindex.co.uk/moneybackguarantee ━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Joe and Seb are joined by FPL Surgery's Josh to look at the key issues facing Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of Gameweek 22. With Harry Kane (£11.1m), Jamie Vardy (£10m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8) out through injury FantasyPremier League managers have plenty of cash in the bank. But with template assets such as Heung-Min Son (£9.7m) failing to find the net and Manchester City players continuing to succumb to rotation, should FPL managers be considering less well owned, cheaper picks? During the show Joe and Seb's guest Josh takes his turn to pick a differential and widens the discussion out to include a range of low owned gems. Doubling up on assets and targeting unfashionable players with points potential is among the advice offered by Joe, while Seb wonders whether FPL managers need to change their attitude to home and away difficulty to gain an edge. Quickly spotting and avoiding well owned assets that are failing to deliver is another strong tactic. Our trio ponder the merits of swerving Spurs attacker Son, who badly needs his strike partner and key creator Kane to support him. Manchester City are surprisingly offering value in players such as John Stones. (£5.2m) But which of their stars will play each week? The crew assess the minutes over the last ten matches to find out who Pep Guardiola is most likely to put in the starting XI each week. Partrick Bamford (£6.6m)  takes centre stage as Joe, Seb and Josh analyse their eventful Gameweek 21. They also focus on an incredible set of unfortunate circumstances to hit one wildcarding member of the FPL community, in their look back at the previous week. Fixtures over the next month are frisked and Gameweek 22's transfer and captaincy plans finish off the show. Plus, in this latest show we find out the full story behind Seb's youthful picture that accompanied the announcement of his additional role as an FFScout Pro-Pundit. Joe and Seb will be back this Thursday night, when the Scoutcast is next live streamed on Youtube. This time they will be joined by Karam, who this week has unearthing some exciting news about a possible double Gameweek on the horizon for his side Manchester City. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Try Football Index - https://bit.ly/FootballIndexFPL 18+ https://www.begambleaware.org/ Full T&Cs - http://trade.footballindex.co.uk/moneybackguarantee ━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Joe and Seb are joined by Karam to look at the key issues facing Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of Gameweek 20. After a Blank then Double Gameweek in quick succession, FPL managers can look forward to a ‘normal' set of fixtures this time around. But FPL is rarely easy this campaign, in which Covid and increasing scheduling problems have wreaked havoc across top-flight football. A chief concern is injuries to some of the most well owned and reliable players, with both Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m) and Leicester talisman Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) sidelined for weeks. Our Scoutcast trio look in detail at the best replacements for both, with a wealth of options to suit all budgets. Are Tottenham's Harry Kane (£11.2m) and Heung Min Son (£9.7m) the obvious targets for those who are currently without this magnificent attacking duo? Or are there cheaper, emerging options to consider instead? Liverpool's recent poor form is also under scrutiny. Is Mohammed Salah (£12.5m), who is excelling in the Cup but not the League, worth keeping amidst the upcoming mixed set of games? Elsewhere, there are some excellent FPL teams showcased in the Scoutcast's rough with the smooth round up of Gameweek 19, fixtures are frisked and Seb takes his turn to select a differential. Finally, this latest episode signs off with our three Scoutcasters revealing their transfer plans and captaincy decisions. Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as the Last Word On Spurs returned. Tottenham dropped more points in their pursuit of the Premier League pacesetters as Ivan Cavaleiro scored a late equaliser for Fulham in a 1-1 draw. Jose Mourinho's men looked in full control of the game when Harry Kane headed home (25) a fantastic Sergio Reguilon cross but a second goal evaded them. Heung-Min Son was denied in spectacular fashion by Alphonse Areola just before the break and then struck the post on 72 minutes. Fulham always carried plenty of weight with their attacks, though, and it wasn't a surprise when Ivan Cavaleiro equalised following a wonderful cross from Ademola Lookman (74). Spurs finished the match with a front four but lacked the required attacking rhythm to put any pressure on Fulham, who have now drawn their last five matches. Only Brighton (12) and Sheffield United (11) have now dropped more points from winning positions than Spurs (10) in the Premier League this season. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTFUL

Joe is joined by Karam and new regular Scoutcast host Seb to try to make sense of the fixture changes to impact on Gameweek 18. Content creators are having a tough time of late. As soon as a video or podcast is painstakingly researched and presented, a major announcement changes everything. Lately, that has been due to Covid-19, with players forced to isolate and games postponed. This time around the Scoutcast has escaped such changes by scheduling its latest episode last night (Monday January 11th), just hours after it emerged that Tottenham's game with Aston Villa on Wednesday has been put back due to Covid-19 concerns. Instead, Jose Mourinho's troops will take on Fulham in a hastily rearranged game that falls far more kindly in the Gameweek for owners of Spurs stars Harry Kane (£11.0) and Heung-Min Son (£9.8). Understandably, this important fixture change tops the bill in a show that marks the debut for Seb as the Scoutcast's new regular co-host with Joe. Also joining this week is Karam, who has had his own experience with coronavirus recently. He reveals how he was been isolating after a positive test and thankfully is now fighting fit to once again tackle this most irregular of seasons. Our trio reveal their Gameweek 18 plans and the players they are targeting. Joe has already pressed the button on his Free Hit chip but Karam only needs one or two transfers to field a credible side. Meanwhile, Seb is Free Hit-curious, and undecided on whether to deploy this chip. Differentials during this limited set of fixtures are also taken in. Are Wolves and Everton players being unfairly neglected? Elsewhere, Arsenal's low owned gems are scrutinised and long-term fixtures are frisked in a show that aims to ensure FPL managers are well prepared for today's Gameweek 18 deadline. The Scoutcast will return on Thursday night, when Joe, Seb and their guest will dust off their notes once again and focus on the coming weekend's Double Gameweek 19. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Try Football Index - https://bit.ly/FootballIndexFPL 18+ https://www.begambleaware.org/ Full T&Cs - http://trade.footballindex.co.uk/moneybackguarantee ━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin on this Last Word On Spurs. Moussa Sissoko and Heung-Min Son were on target as Tottenham eased into the Carabao Cup final after overcoming Brentford 2-0 on Tuesday night. Sissoko scored his first goal since December 2019 to break the deadlock with a well-placed header (12), with Son's emphatic finish (70) doubling Tottenham's lead seven minutes after Ivan Toney's close-range strike was ruled out by VAR for offside. Brentford's hopes of reaching Wembley were ended in the final six minutes when Josh Dasilva was dismissed for a dangerous challenge on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg that was missed by referee Mike Dean in real-time, with the red card shown upon review. Tottenham have been chasing silverware for 13 years, since lifting this trophy under Juande Ramos in 2008, and they will now await the winners of the Manchester derby in the other semi-final on Wednesday. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTBRE #CARABAOCUP

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown from Daily Hotspur and John Wenham from Lilywhite Rose as the panel returned. Heung-Min Son's 100th Tottenham goal helped his side return to winning ways as a 3-0 victory over Leeds moved Spurs back into the top four, even though the win was soured by Matt Doherty's late red card. Harry Kane put Spurs ahead from the spot just before the half-hour mark after Steven Bergwijn was fouled by Ezgjan Alioski, and moments before half-time Son doubled the lead when he combined yet again with the England striker to stroke past Illan Meslier. Patrick Bamford was guilty of missing Leeds' best chance but the visitors created few clear-cut opportunities to worry Hugo Lloris, while at the other end Toby Alderweireld headed in his first goal since July to add Spurs' third from Son's corner. Tanguy Ndombele and Bergwijn both tested Meslier as Spurs looked to add to their lead but their victory moved them joint third in the Premier League and ahead of Leicester on goal difference, with Doherty's second bookable offence in injury time the one blot on the hosts' copybook on an otherwise perfect afternoon. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTLEE

Second-half goals from Carlos Vinicius and Giovani Lo Celso saw Tottenham top their Europa League group with a comfortable 2-0 win over Royal Antwerp. Vinicius should have put Spurs ahead before half-time when played through by Lucas Moura but shot straight at Alireza Beiranvand, before making amends with a tap-in 10 minutes into the second period after Gareth Bale's free-kick had been tipped onto the post. Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Tanguy Ndombele were surprise additions from the bench moments later and the former had a hand in Spurs' second, feeding Lo Celso to slot in from a closing angle with 19 minutes to go. Spurs needed victory to secure top spot and a favourable route in next week's last-32 draw, and comfortably saw out the three points against their Belgian visitors, who did not manage a shot on target across 90 minutes. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTANT #UEL

Host Richard Cracknell was joined by Lee McQueen, Jamie from Daily Hotspur and Chris Cowlin as Last Word On Spurs returned. Heung-Min Son, Gareth Bale and Dele Alli papered over a poor Spurs performance as a 3-3 draw at LASK ensured Jose Mourinho's side qualified for the Europa League last 32. Spurs were outplayed in the first half on a freezing night in Linz and trailed to Peter Michorl's long-range effort which squirmed under Joe Hart (42). But the visitors were gifted an equaliser when Andres Andrade handled Tanguy Ndombele's shot and Bale beat Alexander Schlager from the penalty spot (45+2). After the break, Spurs barely improved but, needing only a point to qualify, found another goal to afford them some breathing space as Son ran through to score after good work from Ndombele (56). Bale should have put the result beyond doubt six minutes later with the goal at his mercy, but attempted to square for Son and missed his team-mate altogether. Hart was then again at fault to allow Johannes Eggestein to level from outside the box (84). LASK had themselves to blame for losing another foothold within minutes, however, with substitute Steven Bergwijn brought to ground in the box by Philipp Wiesinger. Alli set himself to cheekily chip Schlager from 12 yards and restore Spurs' lead, with the sort of swagger the rest of their performance had been severely lacking. There was still time for more drama in added time as another substitute, Mamoudou Karamoko, levelled with another effort from distance which this time left Hart with no chance. It was not enough to keep LASK's hopes alive, as their head-to-head record against Spurs saw them eliminated while their visitors progressed. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #SPURS #TOTARS

Host Ricky Sacks was joined by Lee McQueen and returning guest to the Last Word On Spurs in Antony Costa along with debutant to the show in Marcus Buckland, as the panel review Tottenham Hotspur's 3-3 draw against West Ham United. Spurs endured a horrific three-goal, second-half collapse as Manuel Lanzini's last-minute stunner secured West Ham a 3-3 draw on Gareth Bale's Premier League return. Spurs looked to have put the game beyond their visitors inside a quarter of an hour as they raced into a three-goal lead. Heung-Min Son scored a fine opener from Harry Kane's stunning pass with just 45 seconds played, before the two combined again for Kane's shot to nutmeg Angelo Ogbonna and wrong-foot Lukasz Fabianski (8). West Ham were pulled apart every time Tottenham attacked early on, and Kane doubled his tally on the quarter-hour from Sergio Reguilon's back-post cross as they showed the confidence of their stunning wins at Southampton and Manchester United in recent weeks. But after West Ham hung on until the break, they looked the better side throughout the second period as Spurs floundered, and despite Kane striking a post and Bale's introduction with 20 minutes to go, it was richly deserved when Fabian Balbuena's header from an Aaron Cresswell free-kick beat Hugo Lloris. Spurs had given up a 3-0 lead to win 3-2 at the London Stadium last season and it looked like a case of deja vu when Davinson Sanchez headed beyond his own goalkeeper from Vladimir Coufal's cross. This time, though, there would be no let-off. After clearing a 94th-minute free-kick seemingly to safety, a stunning drive from substitute Lanzini rattled in off the crossbar to earn West Ham a point and leave Tottenham stunned, and still searching for a first home win this season. #THFC #COYS #TOTTENHAM #HOTSPUR #TOTTENHAMHOTSPUR #SPURS #LWOS
