Shakira BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Shakira has commanded headlines over the past few days with a blend of compassion, business savvy, and continued global superstardom. Following the devastating floods in Kerr County, Texas, she landed in San Antonio for a sold-out concert as part of her blockbuster Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which is already lauded as the most successful of her career. Shakira took to Instagram and X to express heartfelt condolences to affected families, saying she was “devastated to hear the news of the flooding, the deaths, and the girls still missing,” and offering her prayers. What set her actions apart was her decision to donate a portion of her San Antonio concert proceeds to disaster relief funds through Catholic Charities, making headlines in Fox San Antonio and Fierce by Mitú for turning the show into “a moment of healing.”Fan accounts and music magazines, including The Heart Sounds, captured the energy outside the Alamodome as fans raved about her performance and her commitment to the community. According to Wikipedia, fundraising was not a one-off gesture—her pledge and outreach were widely praised as an example of a megastar leveraging her platform for urgent humanitarian causes.Business-wise, Shakira has been busy expanding her brand footprint. She made waves on Instagram and in entertainment news by highlighting her new haircare line, Isima, now available nationwide at Ulta Beauty locations. She personally thanked Ulta on Instagram and gushed about the product's look and scent, fueling buzz among her fanbase and beauty followers. According to Geo TV, her recent posts also reflect a spirit of gratitude and personal growth, with Shakira openly sharing reflections on healing after her widely publicized split from Gerard Piqué. She told GQ and Us Weekly that writing music has been her lifeline and that “the healing process is long,” though she's now embracing new beginnings with her sons.Tour-wise, demand continues to surge. Shakira recently announced additional dates in Mexico and the US—including new shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and in Fresno, fueled by overwhelming ticket sales—according to her official Instagram and press outlets. Anticipation is also building over speculation about a UK tour, with industry sources suggesting negotiations are underway for Shakira's first major UK return since 2018.As July unfolds, Shakira stands at the intersection of music, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship, generating headlines for both her onstage triumphs and her offstage empathy.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
Shakira BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Shakira has been at the center of several major headlines and developments over the past few days, both for her philanthropy and her thriving music career. First and foremost, during her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour—her first in seven years and already the most acclaimed of her career—she made a highly publicized stop at the Alamodome in San Antonio on July 5, 2025. The concert itself was significant, not just for the spectacular sold-out performance, but for the compassionate gesture she made in its wake. In response to devastating floods that struck Texas Hill Country over the July 4th weekend, causing dozens of deaths and leaving many missing, Shakira pledged to donate a portion of her concert proceeds to Catholic Charities of San Antonio for disaster relief efforts. She also used her social media platforms to urge fans to contribute, expressing her devastation and solidarity with victims and their families. This philanthropic act was widely reported by outlets like KSAT and ChurchPop and shared across her Instagram and X accounts, drawing significant engagement. The global demand for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour continues to skyrocket, cementing its place as a landmark in her career. Multiple shows in Mexico—particularly in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Zapopan—sold out quickly, prompting Shakira to announce additional concert dates in the country, as well as new dates in other Latin American countries such as Ecuador, where she is set to perform in Quito on November 8. The tour, which launched in February in Rio de Janeiro, is now scheduled to run into November with additional concerts added in response to overwhelming ticket demand. According to Billboard and San Diego Union-Tribune, the show has been praised for Shakira's powerful and versatile performances, although some reviewers noted that the AI-generated visuals used between songs were less well received. On the business side, while rumors have swirled about a possible move into the beauty industry with a new haircare brand, there are as yet no verified, widely reported details—such speculation remains unconfirmed.Through both her music and humanitarian outreach, Shakira's recent activities not only reinforce her status as an international superstar but also as a figure of empathy and action in response to global tragedies. Her strong social media presence, heartfelt statements, and active philanthropy have kept her firmly in the public eye, resonating especially with fans and communities affected by recent events.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

The Florida Gators are kings of college basketball after the dust settled on an all-time Final Four in San Antonio. We got Matt Norlander emptying the notebook on everything he saw, reported, and took in from the weekend (plus a bunch of stuff that didn't make it into the final edit - including some great behind-the-scenes nuggets at the Alamodome). Plenty of stuff on Florida's title, but also the Houston story, the Duke collapse, and the Auburn squad that ended up finishing a distant 4th in terms of storylines from the Final Four. There is a lot to get to, the guys run through it all in reverse chronological order, and we put a bow on the basketball season as only we can here on CSN - which means Norlander's recap of the Pit Bull & Lionel Richie shows he took in during the San Antonio trip!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, launching on March 18, promises another thrilling March Madness with its blend of powerhouse programs, emerging mid-majors, and inevitable surprises. The 68-team field, finalized on Selection Sunday, March 16, features 31 automatic qualifiers from conference tournaments and 37 at-large bids selected by the NCAA committee. With Selection Sunday now behind us, the bracket is set, and the First Four kicks off the action in Dayton, Ohio, on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 18-19, narrowing the field to 64. The tournament culminates at the Alamodome in San Antonio on April 7, but the opening days will shape the narrative. In the 2025 NCAA First Four, Xavier faced Texas on Wednesday, March 19, in a thrilling matchup. Xavier trailed by as much as 13 points but mounted a furious second-half comeback, fueled by hot shooting and a supportive Dayton crowd. The Musketeers erased the deficit, tying the game at 65 with eight minutes left, and finished with an 86-80 victory, led by Zach Freemantle's clutch scoring (15 points, including six in the final two minutes). Texas' Tre Johnson (18 points) couldn't stop the collapse, and Xavier advanced to face Illinois. On Tuesday, March 18, North Carolina dominated San Diego State in a lopsided 95-68 blowout. The Tar Heels, a controversial at-large pick, silenced doubters early, building a 24-point halftime lead. RJ Davis was unstoppable, going 6-for-6 from three-point range, while San Diego State never found its rhythm, trailing by as much as 33 in the second half. North Carolina moved on to play Ole Miss, proving they belonged in the field of 64. Thursday, March 20, 2025, marks the start of the NCAA Tournament's First Round, a 16-game marathon that ignites March Madness with wall-to-wall action. Across eight host cities—Lexington, Providence, Wichita, Denver, and more—top seeds like Duke and Florida take on No. 16 underdogs, while volatile 8-9 and 7-10 matchups promise drama. Fresh off Tuesday's First Four upset, where Alabama State stunned Saint Francis (PA) with an 85-foot pass and a game-winning layup, the day carries upset potential—watch for a 12-seed like McNeese State to challenge a 5-seed like Clemson. Games tip off around noon EDT and run late, broadcast across CBS, TBS, TNT, and truTV, with fans glued to screens for buzzer-beaters and bracket chaos.
