1 Hour and 33 Minutes With David Nasternak and Alex Drain This Podcast Has a Sponsor: Michigan Law Grad Jonathan Paul is the guy with the C you want skating next to the ref and pleading your case. He's also a good guy to sit next to at the hockey games. Segment 1 It's that time of year to speculate on the NHL trade deadline and what teams are about to be like. Checking in on the NHL playoff picture. College hockey - this was a weekend where it feels like everyone took the week off. In game one Michigan had the puck a lot but just didn't do anything with it. Naurato press conference drama, but he was right. Minnesota somehow wins off of 15 shots. It seemed like Michigan would come back to win and then they just didn't. This was just a poor showing all around and by far their worst loss of the year. Segment 2 Frustration over what days and what times games actually start. Friday night was a better performance on senior night in a 4-2 win. TJ Hughes is one of the most productive four-year players of the 21st century and highlighted this game with a redirection goal. Malcolm Spence had a nice three-point night. A controversial hand pass waved off a goal but Michigan managed to kill a major penalty. Three points was disappointing in a weekend series that needed and expected six. Hour 1 kicks off with the NFLPA report cards as the Miami Dolphins once again dominate off the field, from elite facilities to owner Stephen Ross literally buying a grass farm to ensure the best playing surface in football. But while the Dolphins keep winning the “offseason championship,” Joe questions why that hasn't translated to real success, sharing a throwback story about Joe Robbie preaching people over luxury during a Super Bowl era matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The quarterback carousel heats up as the Indianapolis Colts allow Anthony Richardson to seek a trade, sparking a Richardson vs. Malik Willis debate and a larger draft conversation involving Fernando Mendoza, Tom Brady, and Dan Orlovsky stirring controversy over Ty Simpson. We close the hour with the Miami Heat and their frustrating inconsistency, as Bam Adebayo calls out the team's effort and voices frustration about being stuck in the middle.
The Miami Heat dropped a tough one to the Philadelphia 76ers, a team they're chasing in the standings, and it highlighted a familiar problem — inconsistency and a lack of late-game takeover ability. Despite having one of the league's top coaches in Erik Spoelstra, Miami continues to feel stuck in the middle, competitive but missing the superstar presence needed to close games and elevate the roster. Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro remain strong foundational pieces, but the debate centers on whether the Heat can truly contend without that true No. 1 star.

Getting in shape isn't complicated — but most people still never do it. Why? Inconsistency, excuses, lack of structure, and avoiding the hard parts of fitness. In this episode, I break down exactly why most people never get in shape and what actually separates people who get results from those who don't.
So many bookkeepers say networking “doesn't work”My friend… networking isn't the problem.Lack of clarity is.Lack of strategy is.Inconsistency is.That's exactly why this episode had to come back.In this week's Greatest Hit, Jeannie breaks down the shift that helped her generate over $100,000 in one year — from networking aloneIt's not by tap dancing for referrals. And definitely not by saying “Hi, I'm a bookkeeper” and hoping for the best.Because when you walk into a room without a clear message, without the right language, and without a plan… of course it feels awkward. And of course it “doesn't work.”But when done properly, networking becomes a growth engine — profitable, predictable, and even enjoyable.
Episode 441 | The “Fun Instructor” Problem: How to Keep Culture Consistent Across Staff Podcast Description In Episode 441 of School Owner Talk, Duane Brumitt and Shihan Allie Alberigo dig into a problem that quietly wrecks culture in a lot of schools: when expectations change depending on who's teaching. You've seen it. One instructor has kids lined up, focused, and respectful. Another instructor has kids talking over them, climbing on them, and pushing boundaries. Then the owner walks in, corrects it, and suddenly you're the “bad guy.” This episode breaks down why that “fun instructor” dynamic isn't really about fun—it's about inconsistency. Duane and Allie share practical ways to protect your standards without killing the vibe: non-negotiables, class “formatting,” coaching frameworks like friendly, firm, and fair, and what to do when an instructor (or a family) simply won't align. Key Takeaways This isn't anti-fun. Fun is necessary. The problem is when “fun” turns into unclear boundaries and mixed expectations. Kids don't follow rules—they follow patterns. If standards change by instructor, students learn to test the room. Inconsistency creates a subculture. Over time you end up with “two schools in one,” which confuses parents and hurts retention. Most “fun instructor” issues come from avoidable causes: wanting to be liked, avoiding conflict, unclear standards, lack of training, and no shared scripts. A simple coaching framework helps: Duane's “3 F's” for staff—friendly, firm, and fair. Standards have to be visible and enforced. Small details (bowing correctly, line-up, yes sir/no sir, sitting posture) create the bigger culture. Parents often won't help with standards unless you make it easy—and enforce it. If you don't hold the line, the standard becomes optional. Systems beat speeches. Duane shares how he uses “responsibility strikes” with automated parent communication to reinforce preparedness. Sometimes it's not fixable. If you've trained, coached, and supported an instructor and they still won't operate inside the framework, you may need to let them go. Action Steps for School Owners Define the real problem in one sentence. It's not “my instructor is too fun.” It's: standards change depending on who's teaching. Pick 3–5 non-negotiables for the next 30–90 days. Keep it tight and specific. Examples from the episode: How students line up How students bow (respectful bow, not sloppy) Yes sir / no sir (or your school's equivalent) Sitting posture standards Eye contact / attention stance Standardize your class “formatting.” Allie compares this to coding: if you leave holes, the whole system breaks. Decide how students enter, sit, line up, transition, and reset—then teach it the same way every class. Train your staff on a shared behavior framework. Use Duane's “friendly, firm, and fair” as a simple coaching language: Friendly (not their friend) Firm (clear boundaries) Fair (consistent standards) Fix “huddling” and “hovering.” Duane's rule: assistants shouldn't cluster together. Place staff on opposite ends of the room (or corners) so the whole class is covered. Create a real follow-through system for responsibility. Duane's example: responsibility strikes within a testing cycle (with parent communication each time). Whether you copy that exact system or not, the principle is the same: standards must have consequences. Coach privately, not publicly—and use video when possible. Video review removes emotion and shows what's actually happening. Give tools and scripts, not vague criticism. Get staff buy-in by involving them. Duane's suggestion: ask instructors to write down 10 non-negotiables, then discuss as a team and agree on the top 5–10 to run for the next quarter. Ask the “same school” question. If a parent watched three different classes with three different instructors this week… would it feel like the same program? Know when it's time to part ways. If an instructor won't align with the culture after coaching and support, letting them go protects your sanity, your staff, and your student body. Additional Resources Mentioned “Friendly, firm, and fair” (Duane's staff coaching framework) Class “formatting” (Allie's term for standardizing transitions, posture, and protocols) Responsibility strikes vs. attitude strikes (Duane's standards + accountability system) Huddling and hovering (Duane's terms for staff clustering instead of covering the room) Core principle: “Your culture is whatever you allow repeatedly.”
Send a text Jeff and Scott talk with Tyler Menzer, an assistant professor of accounting at Texas Christian University, about his recent research on cryptocurrency tax reporting. In the project, Tyler submitted the same set of cryptocurrency transactions to multiple crypto tax software and reporting services, many of which present themselves as tracking or reporting tools rather than tax preparation providers. He found that these services often produced very different calculations of taxable income from identical transactions. The conversation explores why these discrepancies arise and uses them as a starting point for a broader discussion of cryptocurrency taxation, compliance, and reporting challenges.
Host: Annik Sobing Guest: Scott Sorenson (CEO at CITTA Brokerage Company) Published: February 2026 Length: ~25–30 minutes Presented by: Global Training Center IEEPA Tariffs Struck Down: What Importers Can Do Now (and What They Still Can't) In this Simply Trade Roundup, Annik talks with Scott Sorenson, CEO of SIDA Brokerage, about the Supreme Court's decision that the president exceeded his authority by using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose broad, revenue‑raising tariffs—and what that actually means for importers on the ground. They unpack which tariffs are impacted, what stays in place, key timing details, the refund question, and how duty drawback fits into all of it. What You'll Learn in This Episode What the Supreme Court actually decided Why the Court held that tariffs are fundamentally a tax, and that power belongs to Congress unless clearly delegated by statute. How the ruling targets IEEPA‑based tariffs, not all tariffs. Which tariffs are affected—and which are not Impacted: The 2025 “drug trafficking” (fentanyl) tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China (25% under an emergency declaration). The later “reciprocal” tariffs, also imposed under IEEPA, with rates starting at 10% and going higher based on perceived trade imbalances. Not impacted: Section 232 (steel/aluminum) and Section 301 tariffs introduced in Trump's first term (2018–2019), which remain in place and were not struck down. Key timing: when IEEPA tariffs actually stop CBP will stop collecting IEEPA tariffs on goods entered for consumption or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after 12:00 a.m. Eastern, February 24, 2026. Goods entering or withdrawn before that time (including February 23) are still being charged IEEPA duties, despite the Court's ruling—creating a frustrating “limbo” day for importers. The big unknown: refunds on IEEPA duties It is still unclear whether, and how, importers can obtain refunds of IEEPA tariffs already paid. Many trade attorneys are advising against simple protests and instead suggesting participation in, or filing of, Court of International Trade lawsuits as the likely avenue—though eligibility and timelines remain unsettled. Open questions include whether only parties that joined lawsuits before the Supreme Court decision will qualify, and how any refund mechanism would practically work given estimates of over 100 billion dollars collected. New 15% global tariff under Section 122 Following the ruling, President Trump announced a 10% global tariff, then quickly raised it to 15%, on top of all existing non‑IEEPA tariffs. This measure relies on Section 122 of the 1974 Trade Act, which allows the president to impose tariffs for up to 150 days. Scott expects this to serve as a bridge while the administration seeks a longer‑term, more permanent tariff framework—possibly through new legislation or other authorities. Duty drawback: where it fits and where it doesn't Duty drawback basics: refunds of duties/tariffs on imported goods that are later exported or destroyed, a program that has existed for nearly 250 years and has become more critical as tariffs have risen. Inconsistencies across programs: Fentanyl/“drug trafficking” IEEPA tariffs were explicitly ineligible for drawback. Reciprocal IEEPA tariffs were eligible. Section 232 tariffs are not eligible; Section 301 tariffs are. For the new Section 122 15% tariffs, eligibility will likely depend on whether they are explicitly excluded in future guidance. Historically, exclusions have been clearly spelled out, so silence may mean eligibility. Drawback vs. potential IEEPA refunds Drawback is separate from any Supreme Court‑related IEEPA refund mechanism. Importers that already claimed drawback on IEEPA‑burdened goods and later receive a broader IEEPA refund would need to avoid double dipping—likely refunding drawback amounts if they also get a full tariff refund via litigation/settlement. For importers that don't export, drawback isn't an option, so any recovery depends entirely on whatever refund path, if any, emerges for IEEPA tariffs. Should you start or expand a drawback program now? Scott's answer: yes, especially if you export. Reasons: Tariff volatility is likely to continue, and the administration has signaled interest in more and longer‑term tariffs. Drawback is one of the few mitigation tools that works retroactively, not just going forward. Setting up a drawback program and getting CBP approval takes time; starting now puts you closer to the front of the line for future refunds. Key Takeaways The Supreme Court has ended IEEPA's use as a broad revenue tool, but IEEPA tariffs are only stopping prospectively as of February 24, and refund mechanics for the past year remain unresolved. Section 232 and 301 tariffs are untouched and remain fully in force; the tariff landscape is far from “back to normal.” A new 15% Section 122 global tariff is already in play and may evolve into something more permanent, so importers should plan for continued elevated duty costs. Duty drawback remains a powerful, underused mitigation strategy—especially given the uncertainty around IEEPA refunds and future tariffs. Not Righteous Professing Christians Are "Whitewashed Tombstones" - Pretty on the Outside but Dead on the Inside MESSAGE SUMMARY: A righteousness, that comes from your being in communion with the Holy Spirit, is not like a professing Christian who is really just a "whitewashed tombstone" -- pretty on the outside but dead on the inside. Rather, followers of Jesus are called to live righteous lives, as we are instructed by the Psalmist in Psalms 37:39: “The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble.". Also, Paul tells us in Romans 1:17: “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, ‘The righteous shall live by faith.'”. In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells us, as His followers, that: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.". In Matthew 5, Jesus tells us, as His followers, that we are different and blessed; and these blessings flow from your living a righteous life in Him. Allow the Holy Spirit to create in you a clean and pure heart. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I acknowledge that I prefer to ignore and deny my pain and loss. I struggle with seeing how resurrection life can come out of death. Grant me the courage to pay attention to what you are doing, and to wait on you — even when everything in me wants to run away. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 114). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Inconsistencies. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Faithfulness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). If they looked average… you probably would've left by now. But because they're attractive, you start tolerating things you normally never would. Disrespect. Inconsistency. Mixed signals. You tell yourself “it's complicated” when the truth is a lot simpler: you're emotionally attached to the validation. In this episode, we're talking about the real reason so many people stay stuck in bad relationships—and it has less to do with love, and more to do with physical attraction and the way attention from an attractive person makes you feel about yourself.Because you're not addicted to them. You're addicted to the feeling of being chosen by someone you find desirable. And the longer you stay in these chaotic dynamics, the more your nervous system starts confusing anxiety with chemistry… and peace with boredom. So now healthy partners feel “meh,” and toxic ones feel exciting. We're breaking down:- Why physical attraction can cloud your standards- The psychology of validation addiction- How chaos starts to feel like chemistry- Why you keep going back even when you know better- How to retrain your nervous system for healthier loveIf you've ever said, “I know they're bad for me, but I just can't let go,” this episode is for you.
Episode Overview: In this powerful episode, John sits down with Jimmy Nelson to unpack a critical shift happening in real estate: AI is everywhere, but emotional intelligence is the true separator. From automation overload to shiny-object syndrome, agents are drowning in technology while skipping the internal work required to build something sustainable. Jimmy shares why inconsistency isn't a discipline problem — it's a regulation problem — and how agents must master self-awareness, identity, and emotional alignment before scaling with AI. This conversation dives deep into Human Plus thinking: emotional intelligence before automation, identity before scaling, and vision before decisions. If you want to future-proof your business in an AI-driven world, this episode is a must-listen. Key Topics Covered The Fork in the Road: AI Efficiency vs Human Connection The rise of AI and what it means for real estate professionals Why technology accelerates chaos if you haven't mastered discipline The "cold automation" model vs the Ritz-Carlton-level experience Why the future belongs to professionals who combine AI efficiency with human excellence The 75% Problem in Real Estate Two years in a row, 70%+ of agents didn't sell a home Why information is no longer the value — wisdom is The thinning of the herd and the leveling up of professionalism Why buyers and sellers now believe they know more than their agent Emotional Intelligence Before AI (Human Plus Framework) Timmy introduces the Human Plus model: Self-awareness before automation Emotional regulation before scale Identity before production Operators of AI — not AI operating you If you don't know who you want to be, AI will amplify confusion instead of clarity. The "Have, Do, Be" Trap Many agents operate backward: They chase the "have" (money, closings, recognition) Without becoming the person who consistently does the work The shift: Decide who you want to be Align your actions Then the results follow Why Most Agents Set the Wrong Goals When asked how much they want to make, most agents say "$100,000." But why that number? Why not $90K? Why not $200K? What is the purpose behind the number? The key is breaking big goals down into daily behavior: Conversations per day Appointments per week Agreements per month Math doesn't lie — but identity determines execution. Inconsistency Isn't a Discipline Problem Timmy's insight: "Inconsistency isn't a discipline problem. It's a regulation problem." Agents bounce between shiny objects because: They don't trust themselves They're emotionally misaligned They're chasing relief instead of results Technology reveals discipline. It doesn't create it. AI as a Mirror, Not a Crutch AI can be powerful — if used correctly. Practical exercise discussed: Ask AI to challenge your business model Have it ask you tough questions Use voice input for honest reflection Request direct, unfiltered feedback But remember: AI will gas you up if you don't bring discernment and critical thinking. The Work-Life Blend (Not Balance) Real estate creates guilt loops: When you're home, you feel like you should be working When you're working, you feel like you should be home The solution: Long-term vision Clarity of lifestyle goals Designing a sustainable model Finding What Lights You Up Within real estate, there are countless paths: Sales Marketing Social media Systems Development Coaching Community building The question becomes: What could you do for the rest of your life — even if you weren't paid for it? Then build the business around that. Final Takeaway AI is not your competitive advantage. Emotional intelligence is. The agents who thrive in the next decade won't just automate — they'll: Master self-awareness Align identity with action Build clarity before scale Lead with vision, not reaction As John reinforced in the episode: Vision drives decision. Decision drives action. No vision, no deal. And as Jimmy summarized: Emotional Intelligence before AI. The guys react to the Heat losing to a struggling Jazz team that's clearly trying to tank, even pulling starters in the fourth quarter, and use it to highlight bigger issues in the NBA. They rip the underwhelming Dunk Contest lineup and question why LeBron never participated, while arguing that All-Star Weekend and even the All-Star Game itself have become watered down. The conversation shifts to the league's core problem of too many games, noting it will never change because of the money involved. They also give some credit to the Marlins for fighting to stay around .500 last season despite limited financial flexibility
Yes, That Was 3–0Arsenal make it three points and move on — but not without plenty to dissect. A scrappy afternoon at the Emirates saw the scoreline race ahead of the performance, raising familiar questions about control, rhythm, and how much style really matters at this stage of the season. The pod breaks down a strange opening half hour, the physical nature of Sunderland's approach, and why Arsenal seemed willing to let the game become chaotic before asserting themselves. There's discussion around the pitch conditions, defensive duels, and how Arsenal gradually shifted momentum before finally finding a breakthrough.Attention then turns to the second half, the substitutions that changed the dynamic, and what the goals revealed about Arsenal's pressing, decision-making, and ability to exploit space when it finally appeared. Individual performances are assessed, with particular focus on leadership, midfield responsibility, and how standards are being set — even on days when fluency is missing. In Part Two, it's a full Whip Around the Grounds, including Leeds' control against Forest, Manchester United capitalising on Spurs' self-destruction, Chelsea's penalty-heavy win, Brentford's late drama at Newcastle, and a chaotic collapse at Anfield that reshapes the title conversation. The VARse section returns with a deep dive into another weekend of inconsistency — from reputation-driven red cards to penalty debates, double jeopardy confusion, and where law and common sense continue to collide. Finally, the focus shifts forward. With Brentford away next, the pod looks at mentality, rotation, and how Arsenal navigate a run of fixtures against sides with little left to play for — while the pressure at the top refuses to ease.Chapters:(00:00) - Arteta's Non-Negotiables & Intro(00:47) - Sunderland Preview & Line-Up Calls(02:50) - Physical Chaos & A Game Going Nowhere(06:39) - The Emirates Pitch(08:48) - 1–0 | Momentum Shift & Zubimendi's Strike(11:32) - Jesus Offside, Nearly 2–0(13:24) - Half-Time: Sloppy, Scrappy, Unconvincing(16:08) - Saliba, Brobbey & the Physical Battle(19:44) - Second-Half: Struggles Continue(21:34) - The Subs That Changed the Game(22:43) - 2–0 | Pressing, Space & Composure(24:23) - Late Control & Game Management(24:38) - 3–0 | Breakaway & Martinelli's Square(27:29) - Post-Match Stats & Performance Reality(30:17) - Results vs Standards Debate(30:56) - Leadership, Rice & Captaincy Noise(32:59) - Part Two — Whip Around the Grounds(33:07) - Leeds Dominate Forest(34:16) - Red Romero Does Old Trafford(35:26) - Bournemouth & Villa Stalemate(36:03) - West Ham Defeat Burnley(36:44) - Everton Come From Behind at Fulham(37:18) - Cole Penalty Hat-Trick at Wolves(38:10) - Newcastle vs Brentford: Five-Goal Thriller(39:22) - M23 Derby Edged by Palace(40:02) - Liverpool Collapse at Anfield vs City(42:22) - VARse: Romero Red — Reputation or Reality?(46:59) - St. James' Park VAR Controversies(51:12) - Anfield Chaos & Inconsistency(56:02) - VAR, Law vs Common Sense(00:59:46) - Is This the Worst Title Defence Ever? A month full of dealing with fear and determining who to be. In this release from the patreon stream, we talk about the terrors of time when you have a traumatized brain. Inconsistency, lapses, wormholes and sandtraps... we live in temporal funhouses. Let's talk about how an unstandard relationship with time affects our relationships and what to do about it.
In this episode of Uncommon Sense, I break down why I'm not satisfied with the FBI's official narrative surrounding Charlie Kirk and why I believe too many questions have been quietly labeled “off limits.”I explain why I agree with Candace Owens that the Tyler Robinson explanation feels incomplete, at best, and why the idea that he acted entirely alone deserves serious scrutiny rather than blind acceptance. I also address my personal suspicions regarding Erika Kirk and the toxic culture within TPUSA, shaped by my own experiences and tensions with TPUSA staff behind the scenes.Drawing from TPUSA events, I recount direct disagreements I had with staff over what I viewed as dangerously inadequate security, and why Charlie, tragically, never seemed to fully grasp how influential and vulnerable he had become. Finally, I discuss my theories and unanswered questions surrounding possible Israeli intelligence involvement (I do believe Mossad played a part in all of this). We must always dare to think our own thoughts and ask our own questions. Don't let them take that away from you.--https://www.bible.com/
Jesus Followers Are Expected to Serve the Needs of Others and to Reflect Jesus to Others as We Serve their Needs – “To Serve is Christ” MESSAGE SUMMARY: You will never be more like Jesus than when you are serving others; and your best way to witness to non-believers is for them to see Jesus in you. Your best example of service is Jesus. To serve is Christ. Jesus instructed us, regarding serving others, in Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”. Jesus, the Son of Man, did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. If Jesus came, lived, and died on earth as a servant, why would you, as a Jesus Follower, not realize that you are expected to serve? If, as Paul tell us in Romans 8:28-29, we are being conformed into the image of Jesus, then we are being taught how to serve: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.". To serve is to live as a reflection, to others, of Jesus in you. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, fill me with the simple trust that even out of the most awful evil around me, you are able to bring great good — for me, for others, and for your great glory. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 91). Zondervan. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Faithfulness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). Inconsistency is one of the fastest ways to lose trust, credibility, and high-level opportunities. In this episode of The Kelly Roach Show, Kelly breaks down how chronic overcommitment shows up in subtle but damaging ways - from "posting and ghosting" online to constantly moving meetings, showing up stressed, or being hot and cold in relationships. These behaviors quietly signal disorganization, lack of boundaries, and unpredictability: all things that cause clients, collaborators, and partners to hesitate before investing their time, money, or reputation with you. Kelly walks you through the five biggest signs you're overcommitted, why high performers often mistake busyness for excellence, and how raising your personal standards around time, energy, and boundaries will directly elevate the quality of clients, relationships, and opportunities you attract in 2026. After a brilliant 13-4 start to the 2025-26 season, the Rockets (22-12) went just 9-8 in their second 17-game sample. With Houston now at No. 6 in the Western Conference standings, is it time for fans to recalibrate their expectations? In Friday's full show, Ben DuBose and Paulo Alves explore that question and numerous other January 2026 storylines surrounding the Rockets. Discussion topics include the role of Alperen Sengun's absence (right ankle sprain) in Houston's suddenly mediocre offense; how much criticism is warranted for Reed Sheppard and Jabari Smith Jr.; and whether the recent inconsistency could make a trade more likely by the in-season deadline of February 5.
As the fifth anniversary of January 6 approaches, the Left's carefully constructed narrative is starting to crack. On today's episode of "Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words," Hanson explains how branding January 6 an “insurrection” drove impeachment efforts, investigations, and years of specifically framed media coverage. He also examines the arrest and confession of Brian Cole Jr., the alleged January 6 pipe bomber, and why the delayed investigation and lingering questions surrounding his background cast doubt on many of the conclusions Americans were first told to accept. “To sum up everything we've been told about January 6th from the congressional committee to Kamala Harris' description of it, to comparisons with the four-month, $2 billion, 35 dead, 1,500 police officers, prior riots, arson attacks on courthouses, police precincts that was never really mentioned as a comparable crisis in the republic, all of these things, a number of FBI informants, a number of FBI agents, any effort to find the pipe bomber, the treatment of the January—it was all never transparent. We never got the honest story. So, that begs the question, why? Why didn't they just come out and say, "Here's all the information"? And the reason is, they wanted to cement a narrative in everybody's mind that a reckless demonstration that turned into a riot was a pre-planned insurrection by Donald Trump, who ordered it, and therefore, should forfeit his political career, and he should never be allowed to run for office.” (0:00) The January 6th Narrative (1:40) Inconsistencies in the Investigation (2:20) The Mysterious Pipe Bomber (3:49) Media and Political Reactions (5:05) FBI Informants and Undercover Agents (7:02) Summarizing the January 6th Events (8:47) Conclusion
In this podcast, Jeff discusses the arrest of Venezuelan President Maduro; not just the legalities of the arrest but why this arrest means so much more than capturing a narcotrafficker: Iran, its terror leadership already teetering, stands to lose its Latin American base and financial support. Additionally, those against the arrest are the usual Israel-hating suspects: the far left, Muslim terror states and now, a new addition: the woke right which has decided that partnering with the far left makes sense only when it comes to one issue: mutual Jew hate. The consequences of this obsession cannot be more stark as noted by the recent fraud headlines coming out of Minnesota.

SUMMARY: - “Hurting people hurt people—but narcissists mean to. The higher up the spectrum, the more deliberate and sadistic it becomes.” - “A normal person can self-reflect and repair. A narcissist can't or won't—self-reflection feels like death to them.” - “You didn't cause this, and you can't fix it. It's not your fault.” - “As darkness rises, so does the glory of God. What the enemy meant for evil, God can turn for good.” - “If you move slowly and keep physical/emotional boundaries while dating, a narcissist will often disqualify himself.” Annette's 4-category spectrum - Category 1: “Normal” human flaws—can be selfish or insensitive at times, but can self-reflect, repent, repair, and grow. - Category 2: Emotionally immature; hurtful without calculated malice. Constant defensiveness, blame-shifting, meltdowns when confronted. Change is unlikely; aim is reducing chaos and managing wisely if you choose to stay. - Category 3: Calculated and conniving. Love-bombing, data-mining your hopes/fears to weaponize later. Public charm/private cruelty. Dangerous in church/community settings. You won't resolve this. - Category 4: Sociopathic/psychopathic traits. Amplified cruelty and real danger. Divorce triggers the “monster.” Requires safety planning, documentation, and expert help. Dating red flags and protection - Love-bombing: intense pursuit, “soulmate” language, over-the-top gestures, fast-moving timeline. - Boundary testing: pushes past your limits; discomfort rises quickly. - Inconsistencies and subtle cruelty: backhanded comments, smirks at tears or grief, delight in your pain. - How to protect: move slowly, keep physical/emotional boundaries early, listen to the Holy Spirit and your discomfort, look for patterns (not isolated incidents), and let time test character. If you stay (Category 2 dynamics) - Goal: not fixing him, but wisely reducing chaos and preserving your well-being and the household's stability. - Tactics: reframe requests in terms of what benefits him; avoid head-on confrontation; build your life outside the relationship (calling, ministry, education, friendships). - Support: grief the loss of the dream; get equipped; find a small, trusted peer group who truly understands narcissistic abuse. If you're considering leaving (especially 3–4) - Safety first: if there's a risk of harm, have a go-bag for you/kids/pets and get out. - Prepare: document everything; expect financial sabotage; avoid using the term “narcissist” in court unless there's a diagnosis. - Kids: courts may be vulnerable to “parental alienation” claims; consider a High-Conflict Divorce Coach to reduce legal costs and navigate strategy. - Church/community: narcissists often “borrow” your credibility and pre-poison relationships. Find a healthy church culture and rebuild wise support. Biblical considerations for divorce - Abuse, abandonment, adultery are valid biblical grounds. With minors, weigh carefully: safety, modeling for children, and the realities of family court. Healing and identity - Post-abuse, identity is almost always impacted. You can be 10 years out and still hear their voice in your head—self-abuse by proxy. - The path: clean up the past (lies, agreements, unresolved pain), rebuild identity in Christ, then step into power and authority with wisdom and boundaries. - Beauty must rise with pain: intentionally add joy, nature, creativity, and community to counterbalance suffering. Church and parenting insights - Teach kids the Word, discernment, and healthy vs. unhealthy relationship dynamics. Christlike love includes boundaries and walking away when necessary. Programs and resources Annette mentioned - Living Well While Staying: coaching for women who choose to remain in Category 2 marriages, focused on reducing chaos and rebuilding a meaningful life. - Cinderella No More Academy: membership community and tools for recovery and growth. - Cinderella Conversations: 4-session discovery series on identifying narcissistic dynamics, tactics, false guilt, and spiritual warfare. - Upcoming book: Cinderella No More: Becoming Ella (target 2026). She's seeking early readers for feedback. - For severe trauma/PTSD: consider a Christian therapist specializing in trauma; complement with coaches who understand narcissistic abuse. Interview for fit. One thing to remember - You didn't cause it, you can't fix it—and this isn't the end. With God, this can be the beginning of a new, stronger chapter. You get to write the next chapters with Him. PODCAST INTRO: My guest Annette Chesney is a Christian coach, speaker, and seasoned recovery professional who equips women healing from narcissistic abuse. Narcissistic dynamics can be hard to spot because they often look like ordinary relationship friction at first. Many people struggle to tell the difference between someone who is simply hurting and occasionally hurtful, and someone who persistently harms others without accountability. One useful way to think about it is as a spectrum: not everyone with difficult traits is a narcissist, and not every narcissistic person behaves the same way. Understanding this range can help you decide what you're seeing—and what to do next. But before you think that keeps you in the dark….Annette has created a spectrum that consists of 4 categories or types of narcissists including 10 different characteristics. What she shares is very interesting and from my experience very accurate. Annette's work is done both one-on-one and in groups. She talks primarily from a women's point of view with regard to narcissistic abuse but she did say men are subject to women narcs as well. Annette talks about common red flags and she says pay attention to patterns over time rather than isolated incidents; that wider view tells the truth. Annette even shares about how she coaches women who choose to stay in a challenging relationship…she teaches “management” strategies that focus less on changing the other person and more on stabilizing her client's environment, protecting her energy, and minimizing chaos. A few of the examples she gave were learning how to reframe requests so they're seen as mutually beneficial, limiting circular arguments, and building a strong support system outside the relationship. She even touches on the subject for when separation or divorce becomes necessary and minor children are involved. She alerted us to the fact that trauma symptoms, including anxiety and PTSD‑like responses, are not uncommon adding that qualified mental health support and targeted coaching can help you recover clarity and confidence. Even with the reality of living with the effects of narcissistic abuse…the dismantling of who you are, loss of confidence, identity, goals, dreams etc. , Annette says recovery is possible. Many people find that healing involves unpacking earlier hurts, challenging false beliefs, rebuilding identity, and learning durable skills: boundaries, self‑care, emotional regulation, and discernment. Getting connected with the right help will make all the difference and get you to what she calls…your Kingdom Zone of Impact where you're living with identity and purpose in Christ. Her parting words were for the listener to remember two things that are worth holding onto: you didn't cause someone else's narcissistic pattern, and you can't fix it for them. What you can do is prioritize safety, educate yourself/get informed, surround yourself with wise support, and invest in your own future. Whether you're staying, preparing to leave, or rebuilding afterward, the next chapters can be healthier—with Christ those next chapters are filled with restoration and redemption, they can bring clarity, strength identity and purpose… and they're yours to discover with the Lover of Your Soul, the One who never abuses you, never fails you, Jesus. PREVIEW — Gregory Copley — NATO's Inconsistencies and Future Existence. Copley examines the fractured and inconsistent state of NATO, noting overwhelming enthusiasm from threatened eastern flank members, including Poland, the Baltics, and Finland, who prioritize collective defense. This contrasts sharply with tepid commitment from wealthy western members and explicit antagonism toward the U.S. from Germany and France. Copley highlights concerns regarding western flank exposure, particularly Ireland's vulnerability, and the critical dependence of eastern defense on central European cooperation and coordination. 11930 County Waterford coastal artillery
