Attorney-turned-operator Kendall Bonner joins Julia and Emerick to unpack how modern marketing—and a CEO mindset—can transform a real estate career into a durable business. Kendall shares the story behind her new role at eXp and how “asking” created the opportunity, then walks through the unconventional engine that scaled her team to 200+ sides without cold calling or portal leads. From AI, video, and Google-based intent to her “Data D's” framework for finding motivated movers, Kendall shows agents how to speak to life events, not just listings. We break down brokerage vs. team economics, revenue vs. profit, and why profit is intentional. Kendall also urges agents to buy back their time, add ancillary revenue around a single client journey, and actually invest in the asset we sell. She closes with a challenge: decide what's non-negotiable—then live it.Resources:Learn more at The Color of MoneyBecome a real estate agent HEREThis episode is brought to you by HomeTeam Inspection Service. When you partner with HomeTeam, you're getting more than a home inspection—you're delivering The HomeTeam Experience. What if the real drivers of wealth aren't budgets and spreadsheets, but mindset, habits, and the spaces we live in? In this episode, Julia Lashay sits down with Patrice Washington—author, coach, and founder of Redefining Wealth®—to explore the Six Pillars of Wealth and the psychology that shapes our financial lives.Patrice shares her rise in real estate, the 2007 collapse that forced her to start over, and how surrender and radical honesty reshaped her path. We talk about the biases that keep people stuck, why high achievers often neglect their health and financial planning, and how clearing clutter in our relationships, spaces, and beliefs opens the door to better money outcomes.Patrice explains each pillar—Fit, People, Space, Faith, Work, and Money—showing how they intersect to protect vision and create freedom. She reminds us not to weaponize today's wisdom against our past selves, to choose from faith instead of fear, and to let joy be both the standard and the currency for our decisions.Resources:Learn more at The Color of MoneyLearn more about Patrice's work at patricewashington.comListen to the Redefining Wealth PodcastPillar MasteryBecome a real estate agent HEREThis episode is brought to you by HomeTeam Inspection Service. When you partner with HomeTeam, you're getting more than a home inspection—you're delivering The HomeTeam Experience. With a team approach, fast turnarounds, and package options that include home inspection warranties, HomeTeam helps real estate pros stand out. There's nothing else quite like a night at the ballpark, especially when the light and temperature hit just right. The air is soft, the crowd is genial. You've got a hot dog in one hand and an icy-cold drink in the other. Your only job? Sit there, take in the action, and occasionally join in a cheer or shout at the ump. Since the 1860s, baseball has been called ‘America's pastime.' During times of strife — the Civil War, the Great Depression, the World Wars — baseball provided escapism and a sense of normalcy. It's always been seen as a reflection of American attitudes and values: The game requires cooperation and self-sacrifice — and like America, baseball LOVES a maverick. Baseball is also democratic: Just about anybody can play just about anywhere if they've got an open space, a bat, and a ball. As a spectator, even if you don't know all the rules, you can still recognize the elation of a stolen base or a home run. In this episode, we take a virtual tour of some of the remarkable ballparks around the US, meet the most eccentric man in baseball, delight in players' excellent nicknames, and wax poetic about popcorn. Then we recommend great books that took us inside the stadium on the page, including a sweetly funny epistolary novel that sneaks up on you, a love letter to the unsung catcher, a 1920s mystery starring the Cincinnati Reds, a closer look at pitching, and a literary mashup of campus novel, baseball story, and rom-com. Last Days of Summer: A Novel by Steve Kluger The Cincinnati Red Stalkings by Troy Soos The Art of Fielding: A Novel by Chad Harbach K: A History of Baseball in Ten Pitches by Tyler Kepner The Tao of the Backup Catcher: Playing Baseball for the Love of the Game by Tim Brown For more on the books we recommend, plus the other cool stuff we talk about, visit show notes.
