Nothing is as powerful as love. When we love, we manifest the Divine in us. Loving is a Divine impulse. Serving is an extension of love, because love gives, service gives. In order to change the world and make the world better, we have to embrace the reality of love. One of the most difficult things to do, is to face yourself. And the easiest path, to face yourself, is to focus on someone else. The fastest way, is to serve others. When you help others, you help yourself. When you serve others, you are serving yourself. When you start serving others, you embrace the reality of love. Why do you have to embrace the reality of love? Because we are emotional entities. We are born to love, and be loved. • What does this message mean to you?. As human beings, we thrive on love. Love is the ingredient that human beings need, in order to grow and expand beautifully. We are born in order to learn to love. Love is the purest essence of truth, and truth is the highest image of love. Love is a source of life, light, strength, health, beauty and warmth. Our heart needs warmth, because the human heart wants to love and be loved. The only thing that makes the heart happy is love. Once you embrace love, you are nourishing your heart, which is the root of your life. A human being cannot live without a heart, and the human heart cannot live without love. Love puts wings on the human heart, so the human heart can fly to the heavens, and back. •

Throughout history the great scholars, mystics and visionaries have understood that in times of crisis, war or pandemics, one must turn to a higher unchanging reality. As we are working to overcome the impact of the current global pandemic there is no greater source of strength than the power of unconditional love. Now is the time to shift our human consciousness and our perception of ourselves as separate from each other and understand how interconnected we are. We must strive to reach out, uplift each other and merge with the power of love in order to create the platform for peace and healing on this planet. Dr. Joseph Michael Levry is a scholar, composer, author and international speaker, whose universal message brings together the spiritual healing traditions of the East and West. Dr. Levry seamlessly connects ancient Eastern wisdom, mysticism, and healing practices such as meditation, breath work and yoga, with revelatory Western science, mathematics, modern medicine and metaphysics. He is the founder of the Global Gatherings for Peace and Healing meditation superclasses, the most recent of which united 318,000 people in person and around the world, the CEO of Rootlight International, and the founder of Naam Los Angeles, a 501(c)(3) Healing & Research Institute. Through his music, lectures and writings, Dr. Levry has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people with his unifying message of harnessing the deep healing power of unconditional love, global peace and embracing service to others. Dr. Levry was featured by CNN as one of the leading voices in the health and wellness movement, particularly in the black community. CNN host and commentator, Van Jones, highlighted Dr. Levry among prominent world figures working to improve the state of physical and mental health during the Covid-19 crisis and beyond. Dr. Levry led more than 3,000 brilliant young minds from over 80 countries as a keynote speaker at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, during the IMUNA's 46th annual National High School Model United Nations Conference. From leading massive Global Gatherings for Peace and Healing, to ground-breaking work in music scientifically acknowledged to heal, to empowering youth from elementary to university levels with impactful programs and transformational lectures world-wide, Dr. Levry is putting into action a universal message of healing and peace for today's world. I recently met Joe Dragunas (aka Joseph Michael) at Motor City Comic Con and am legitimately flabbergasted that we hadn't known each other up until then. Joe is a masterfully detailed artist who has been a mainstay at cons across the country for the past decade. He's an incredible creator with a dedicated fanbase of nearly 200,000 Instagram followers, and yet here I am meeting him for the first time in 2021. I'm honestly astounded at this, especially because we clicked ALMOST instantly (more on that in the episode). Normally I go through a few individual points of the pod, but let's just say we talk about a lot of nerdy stuff and also his incredible art style and history.

Christians know Jesus as the messianic son of David. The fact that the messiah is referred to by other titles and terms (e.g., Servant, Branch, Root) is also well known. But there is one title or trajectory about the Jewish messiah that is relatively unknown, save to a handful of rabbinic teachers who intentionally do not want attention paid to it. That trajectory is the Messiah son of Joseph. In this episode we discuss this topic with Dr. David Mitchell, perhaps the solitary scholar who has brought all the relevant ancient “Josephite Messiah” material together into one book. Dr. Mitchell writes extensively of how Jewish sources such as the Talmud speak of a figure called Messiah ben Joseph, who comes forth from Galilee to die, pierced by his enemies at the gate of Jerusalem, whose death confounds Satan, atones for sin, and abolishes death itself.
So here I am, walking down the road in Wellington talking to this fella (between events at an gig), and I say, “what's your thing Joe?” We Kiwis are often way too modest, but his response was out of bounds! What an amazing story this is - a journey into worlds that most of us will never see - unless we experience one of Joseph's incredible art installations. This podcast brought to your ears with the support of Links and artworks mentioned in podcast: 2019 [3:05]: featuring Joseph's Antarctic iceberg art installation on the side of the UN building in New York. 2021 [19:05]: a video insight into the project Joseph's currently working on - an augmented reality art installation that places the viewer in the heart of the Amazonian rainforest. In this episode, Dr. Levry talks exclusively about the Harmonyum Healing System publicly for the first time ever. Going deeply into how it is different from other healing modalities, he touches on addressing the root of the problem and not just the fruit (effect), how Harmonyum raises our consciousness and awareness so we can begin to heal permanently, and at root level. Dr. Levry discusses how we have been impacted as a society over the events of the past year and the global trauma that has resulted. He discusses the need for Harmonyum, in person and at distance as an essential and necessary healing modality to address collective trauma. Dr. Joseph Michael Levry is an internationally renowned scholar, composer, author and speaker, whose universal message brings together the spiritual healing traditions of the East and the West. He is the Founder of the Global Gatherings for Peace and Healing, the Naam Los Angeles 501(c)(3) Healing Research Institute, and CEO of Rootlight International. Through his music, lectures, and writings, he has united hearts and changed lives across the world through his unifying message of the deep healing power of unconditional love, global peace, and service to others. Dr. Levry was commended by CNN Opinion and CNN Host Van Jones as a prominent world figure leading the health and wellness movement, working to improve physical and mental health, particularly in the black community in response to COVID-19 and beyond. Dr. Levry's vast body of educational material is evidence of his life-long commitment to education, mentorship, and research. Ten extensive certification courses and lifestyle programs emphasize scientific exploration into human anatomy, physiology, neurology, and endocrinology and their integration with the Eastern and Occidental metaphysical philosophy perspectives of the body. Subjects range from fertility and prenatal health to optimization of the brain and nervous system to extensive physical and spiritual applications for total wellness and specific health challenges. He is also the creator of Naam Yoga and the Harmonyum Healing System. The Harmonyum Healing System is a powerful, elegant, spiritual healing system that was developed with the aim of making self-healing possible. It addresses disease at the mental and emotional level so that it may no longer exist in the physical body. Harmonyum leads to glowing health, vigor, happiness, and increased longevity through the slowing of the aging process. Dave and Reb take a look at what it looks like to be "successful" and how we need to check the motivations of our heart when we define success, especially in light of how and what we give our money to. They talk about how pride can sneak into our lives when it comes to giving. Matthew 6 calls us to lay up treasures in heaven but Dave and Reb encourage listeners to "check your heart" when it comes to the motivation behind giving. Dave and Reb took the idea for today’s show from Bob Lotich at SeedTime Money (https://christianpf.com/) and his conversation with Joseph Michael from learnscrivenerfast.com. You can hear their conversation at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q2PgZG6uX4 - “Defining Success as a Christian”. Aired: February 8th, 2019 on CHRI Radio 99.1FM in Ottawa, Canada. Dr. Levry interviewed by David Thomas Nicol.
I love that today's theme comes from a newsletter subscriber who responded when I asked for ideas to address on the podcast or in articles. So this is a real writer with a real struggle—a reality for many writers. This person wants to know: How to write when you work full time? That's a tough one. It's hard to have any kind of hobby or side hustle when you work full-time. When you put in the hours at work and come home exhausted, how can you possibly devote your depleted brain and energy to a creative project? Don't Ignore the Ache I stayed home to raise our four children and we chose to home educate, so while I didn't work full-time in a traditional sense, I had my hands full most hours of the day. Writing was extremely challenging during those years. My dream was to have an entire day at my disposal, no interruptions, no diapers to change, no activities to organize. But that wasn't the overall lifestyle we'd chosen. I thought if I couldn't have the day to write—and if, in fact, my reality felt like I had NO time to write—why bother? But I couldn't ignore the ache. I ached to write. Some days I felt hopeless. Some days I felt sorry for myself and didn't bother even trying. Most days I wanted that all-or-nothing writing life. So a lot of days I didn't write. After all, I didn't feel like I had the energy; or if I started, I'd only be interrupted. Why try? But that ache wore on. Address the Ache I couldn't go on like that. I had to address the ache. I suspect that's where a lot of writers are—maybe the person who sent in this idea for a podcast. You're feeling the ache, that soul-ulcer chewing away at your creative impulse. You're losing hope. How do you write when you work full time? Assuming you can't quit, I hope you're feeling something else rise up in you—something louder and stronger than the ache. Voice It It's a voice, a determination within. A resolve. You have something inside of you that must be voiced. A barbaric yawp you're ready to sound over the roofs of the world. I. Must. Write. That's it. You must write. Yes, there's writing in you, ready for the page. You can't wait any longer. There's a writer in you, ready to yawp, and you know it. You can't wait for the perfect conditions. You can't wait until you inherit some distant relative's fortune so you can quit your job. No more waiting. You must sound your yawp over the roofs of the world. You must write. Today. Look for slivers of time and the occasional chunk of time here or there. Settle for less than the dream of a cabin in the woods. Whatever you can, grab it and write a few lines. Where Will You Write? Let me tell you a story. Joseph Michael developed a Scrivener training course while he was working full time at another job. Scrivener is writing software, also an app, that many authors use because with it, you can manage longer, larger, more complex projects more easily than you can using Word or Google docs. But Scrivener is a little confusing to most newbies; at least it was for me. So I grabbed his training course years ago when it was on sale and started watching, hoping to avoid bumbling around, losing important pieces of projects. I felt frustrated because I didn't understand the system, so I walked through his short training lectures and made sense of Scrivener. Years later, because of the success of his Scrivener course, Joseph Michael came out with some additional training on how to build courses—a course about courses. I didn't buy the course about courses, but I signed up for a free introductory webinar, where he told how he recorded that early version of the Scrivener course. He said he'd drive to work. On his lunch break, he'd head to the parking garage and record some of the Scrivener lessons—right there in the front seat of his car, wedged behind the steering wheel. In short sessions, hidden away in the parking garage of his workplace,

Joseph Michael started out like most Entrepreneurs; working a full-time corporate job and still barely making ends meet. Feeling the weight of the responsibility of providing for his family, he tried to get a second job delivering pizzas. After being turned down due to a "lack of driving experience," he started to utilize his lunch breaks to create a course, and grow a business, around teaching people how to use a popular writing program called Scrivener. We talk about that journey today and how it's taken him from thinking he was rich if he had $200 in the bank to making more money in one webinar than he made in four months at his previous day-job. We all have time to start a side business. I know that because I see the busiest people start new businesses daily. Sure, they may not all grow as fast as a company with a full-time staff, but they do grow and prosper. Carving out time from a busy home and work life to get a company going is about using our time wisely and staying focused on the next action. In this episode, I will share some of the common hacks that allowed busy people to start and succeed. Yes, You Can Find Time to Start a Side Business [Tweet "Finding time to start a side business starts with taking control of your time. #entrepreneur"] Today I go over some basic steps to help you find time to start a side business. These steps will take you about 2 weeks to do, but well worth it. In the end, you will have a lot of clarity and focus. Step 1 - Get control of your day job Most of us waste a lot of time at work. Working 50+ hours per week, we are rarely productive for more than 20 of those hours. Recently, I had a highly productive manager tell me he only has about 2 hours a day of true productive time, and this includes his time engaging his team. I cover two specific actions that will open up your eyes to help you get clarity on what matters most at work and to help you find wasted time at work. Oh, you don't think you waste time at work? Listen and try the exercise. Step 2 - Get control of the home schedule Getting control of home is even more challenging than work. You likely come home to many demands of your time and attention. I discuss some practical tips that have been used by many entrepreneurs (and me) to get control and find moments to get work done. Step 3 - Find your moments to work How many hours per day do you have to work on your business? Typically, I have been told 15 - 60 minutes from those with families. If you can increase that, great. But even if you can't, how can you find some other moments you did not know you had. A great example of this is Joseph Michael, the Scrivener Coach who used his lunch hour to create a new line of revenue. Step 4 - Define your business goals One of the biggest time challenges entrepreneurs have is a lack of clarity. They have no clear plan. If you have a plan and can focus on the next action, success is in your reach. [Tweet "If you have a plan and can focus on the next action, success is in your reach.. #entrepreneur"] An eye-opening moment for me was when I came across Zig Ziglar while trying to complete my Ph.D. By setting goals and developing the next actions, I went from moving like a sloth to moving like a cheetah. Step 5 - Get to work DAILY In Do the Work, Steven Pressfield puts a name on the ominous force which keeps us from doing what we need to do. He calls it THE RESISTANCE. Once you have moments to work and a clear set of actions to take, you still have to show up and do the work. In this last step, I will share some actions that many entrepreneurs take to get the work done. Listen and find time to start your side business. If you've considered creating your own online course but never pulled the trigger because it seemed too complicated then episode 70 is just what the doctor ordered! My friend and fellow mastermind member, Joseph Michael, is here to give us the inside secrets. Joseph was a pretty typical 9 to 5 guy until he noticed a pain point in the marketplace: Scrivener. Scrivener is a powerful writing software that most users initially found confusing and hard to use. Seeing so many struggle to implement the software he understood, Joseph created an online course and the rest is history. On today's show, he joins us to share that history, his process of creating that course, how he helps others discover and promote courses for their audiences, and how to build a side income from online courses or a full-fledged business. Dig in with us on this episode of The Speaker Lab! THE FINER DETAILS OF THIS SHOW What makes a good online course, in terms of content? Why do most people take a course? What pieces should go into your online course? Why it's important to know what your course's audience needs. What steps should you take to create the course once you have your topic? How much content should you include in your course?

Often times the service that teaches how to use a particular software has the same or greater demand than the software itself. One can grow their list by doing webinars in joint ventures and increasing demand for their services. Time Stamped Show Notes: 01:00 – Nathan’s introduction to today’s show 01:57 – Joseph joins the show. 02:28 – Scrivener is a super powered version of Microsoft Word. 03:39 – Joseph teaches his clients through an Evernote course – the software itself is 45$. Joseph’s highest tier of teaching how to use software is about 290$. 04:12 – In 2015, Joseph’s services have raked in 500K in sales. (42K a month) 05:17 – Traffic is directed to Joseph’s service through JV partners. 05:53 – Joseph describes his first JV partner and webinar that helped him convert to customers. 06:55 – Joseph’s webinars are teaching based – he walks watchers through a process in using Scrivener. His conversion rates are very good in his field. 08:31 – For letting him use their list, JV partners split the profits with Joseph 50/50. JV partners are usually strapped for time and need expertise on software like Scrivener. 09:43 – Joseph hired a researcher to compile a list of 200 possible names of interested influencers who’d be interested in a Scrivener teaching service in the writer community. 11:50 – Learn Scrivener Fast is hoping to double revenue for 2016. The demand for the service remains high and Joseph’s current list has 60K emails. 12:15 – One can build a product and then use the product to gain targeted subscribers which lets one partner more efficiently with other JV’s. 12:42 – Nathan plans on asking for Scrivener’s revenue on a future episode to compare to Joseph’s. He’s willing to bet the teaching service makes more than the software itself. 14:12 – Customers who buy Joseph’s services don’t necessarily own Scrivener, but it’s usually a big selling point that the software can be confusing to use. 15:00 – Scrivener is behind Learn Scrivener Fast, but they haven’t done a JV together. 15:42 – The CEO of Scrivener is scheduled to be on The Top on February 18th – Nathan is thinking about trying to buy the company. 16:55 – Famous Five Resources Mentioned: Edgar – Nathan uses Edgar instead of other scheduling tools for Twitter because Edgar cycles through content over and over (buffer/others you have to re-input content over and over – time consuming). In the last several months, Edgar has driven Nathan over 3728 clicks that he didn’t have to work or pay for. The BRAND New You Show - A Personal Branding and Digital Branding podcast
Master Minds Show Notes: http://ryanrhoten.com/mastermindagenda Today on the BRAND New You show I went solo to talk about a topic I get asked about quite often - Master Minds Recently I sent out an email to my newsletter list and asked for feedback and suggestions for topics to cover on the podcast. I received several suggestions and will cover all of the topics submitted in upcoming shows but the topic of master minds won the Pareto chart battle. So let's get into this. WHAT IS A MASTER MIND If you were to ask ten different people to define a master mind you'll probably get ten different answers. I always refer back to the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Written in 1937 as a personal development and self-improvement book, Think and Grow Rich is much more than a book on the secrets of how to gain wealth. It's a philosophy that can be used to help people succeed in all lines of work. The book consists of 13 principles for personal achievement one of which is the Power of the Master Mind. According to Mr. Hill a Master Mind occurs: “When a group of individual brains are coordinated and function in Harmony, the increased energy created through that alliance, becomes available to every individual brain in the group.” Or said another way its like a brainstorming session on steroids. Everyone in the group is focused on a single purpose. One idea fuels engagement from other team members and before you know you are all functioning in perfect harmony working to solve or resolve the challenge at hand. When this happens Claudia Alutcher might say the idea machine in the room is running at full capacity. This is the power of the master mind. Surrounding yourself with a group of like-minded individuals for advice, counsel, and cooperation around a single purpose. My single definite purpose to educate and elevate the personal brands and online reputations of career-minded professionals so they get recognized for their expertise by becoming an authority in their niche. Or as I like to say become the google of their niche. Other topics covered include: HOW TO START YOUR MASTER MIND ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR YOUR MASTER MIND HOW TO CONDUCT YOUR MASTER MIND MEETINGS (including a downloadable agenda) SUMMARY And that's it. Every thing I know about starting, running and participating in a master mind. I've been fortunate to be in two master mind groups as I started down my current path. They have helped shaped my thinking, my single define purpose and frankly me as a person both personally and professionally. If you pick the right members they will become a part of your family just like for me Steve Stewart, Dustin Hartzler, Joseph Michael, Brand Heavey and Michael Faron have become for me. Good luck getting started. If you other questions please leave a comment below. I'll answer every question and by keeping your comments on the blog others will be able to see the questions and the answers all in one place. That's all the time we have left for today. I've been Ryan. And I'm out.

#181: Joseph Michael is an average guy who saw a need and is now making 6-figures helping writers solve a problem. They love to use Scrivener - an incredible writing and organization tool - but had a hard time figuring out how to use it efficiently. Enter the Scrivener Coach. Joseph doesn't work for Scrivener but came up with an easy-to-follow, step-by-step video course that takes a lot of the guesswork out of the process. I've taken the course and am using Scrivener to create my Audacity Workshop (audio editing software I've been using for almost 15 years). You can find more about Joseph and his course at or follow him on Twitter Full show notes can be read at I hope you enjoyed this April Fools Day episode.

This week we try and make sense of the White Wizzard controversy with one of our guests Joeseph Michael, the ousted singer of the band who has been the focus of most his former band mate Jon Leon's misery. We also have Adam D from Killswitch Engage on to talk about the upcoming tour with Lamb of God, their album with returning singer Jesse Leech, and whether or not metalcore is dead. We also try to figure out why Danzig is a douchebag (we could do a whole show and not find the answer) after he tells his audience to go after another fan filming his performance, and whether or not you need to put your damn phone away during a live show.
