The PodKaz for Feb. 20, 2026, has hosts Nicole Haase and Todd Milewski looking back on a series split between No. 1 Wisconsin and No. 2 Ohio State last weekend in Madison. The Buckeyes looked great at the start but the Badgers rebounded like they have so well over the last few seasons. The race for the ECAC Hockey championship is coming down to the final weekend of the regular season. The top six teams are separated by 6½ points, with first-place Princeton leading Yale by two points. The Tigers missed a chance to stretch their lead by losing to Harvard on Saturday.Holy Cross had a rough week in Hockey East, losing to Boston College and New Hampshire to extend its winless skid to four games. Northeastern and UConn needed overtime to get past Vermont and Providence, respectively. The NEWHA chase tightened up with Saint Anselm losing in overtime twice at Long Island, leaving the door open for Franklin Pierce and Assumption to close in.We also look at the Olympics, where the U.S. and Canada are set to meet in preliminary-round play Tuesday. And we finish up with a glance at some of the important clashes ahead in NCAA women's hockey, including meetings between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Minnesota and the ECAC Hockey slate. The PodKaz is a production of USCHO.com. Win a signed Joe Cole Chelsea shirt HERE!Details of our next live show on Friday, February 6th with Paul Canoville in New Orleans are HERE!What a night. What a comeback. Chelsea are through to the Champions League knockout rounds after a dramatic 3-2 victory away at Napoli, and Chelsea Against The World is here to break down one of the biggest European nights of the season. After a disastrous first half, Chelsea looked dead and buried — but then João Pedro took over. Two stunning goals turned the tie on its head as the Brazilian stole the show and reminded everyone exactly why he's becoming such a crucial player for this team.Manny and Simon heap praise on Liam Rosenior, whose tactical changes completely transformed the game, and on Robert Sánchez, whose saves kept Chelsea alive long enough for the comeback to happen. It was a performance full of character, belief, and smart in-game management. Finally, the lads turn their attention back to domestic matters with a preview of Saturday's London derby against West Ham, asking whether Chelsea can carry this European momentum into another huge test.

My guest this week is Lauren Frihauf. "A rising star in the music industry whose talent was featured in NPR Music's 2022 Tiny Desk 'Top Shelf' and showcased her vocal prowess on Season 19 of NBC's "The Voice," where she impressed on Teams Gwen and Legend, making it to the Knockout Rounds. In 2021, when her promising neo-soul duo project came to a halt before its album, “The Latona EP”, was released, Frihauf found her calendar cleared at a time when most musicians were getting back to touring. Previously putting words to melodies created with collaborators, she was alone, lost, and experiencing the emotional turmoil of entering adulthood after the covid pandemic. From the beginning, her vocal style has been influenced by Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote, whose records she knows, "inside and out". As she began her quest to identify who she was as a solo artist, Frihauf shifted her focus from keys to guitar, which she found to be liberating. Learning to play, “Cactus Tree”, by Joni Mitchell, proved pivotal: she became obsessed with open D tuning. Frihauf now refers to herself as a "Neo-Folker". Her music carries an indie singer-songwriter essence, infused with folk and neo-soul elements, creating a captivating and unique sonic landscape. Her songwriting delves into authentic themes that resonate deeply with listeners. Surprisingly, Lauren's urban vibe stands in stark contrast to the rural farm where she was born and raised, adding an intriguing dimension to her artistry" (laurenfrihaufmusic.com). The Playoff Knockout Round closed with a bang. In the Europa, Bodo wins an instant classic in a win over Twente, a game which featured 3 goals in a span of 5 minutes of added time, Ajax survive a magnificent Saint Gilloise in extra time, a brilliant Dybala sees of Porto, and AZ stake their claim as a proper contender. In the Conference, Heidenheim experiences heartbreak at the hands of Copenhagen, Shamrock and Vikingur exit cruelly in the tightest of margins, Pafos settles the Cyprus derby, and Celje shocks once again. We dig into all the games, take a look ahead to the Round of 16 draw, and even work some puns into the mix. Why not? Cheers Mladen Žižović!
The knockout stages are finally here, and we had a doozy of a 1st leg slate. In Europa, AZ pummeled Galatasaray, as part of a perfect day for the Dutch sides. Meanwhile in the Conference, Vikingur stunned Panathinaikos, while Shamrock took down Molde in Norway on the backs of a 16-year old debutant. We'll give you all the insight on those major upsets, as well as the big clubs which rebounded from subpar periods, plus discuss the plethora of game-altering golazos and red cards. Finally, we look ahead to the 2nd legs and identify which ties may flip on their heads. Cheers Sölvi Ottesen!

Vincent Goodwill is joined by Dan Titus and Isis "Ice" Young to recap last night's NBA Cup action, talk about LeBron's shooting slump and preview the Golden State Valkyries WNBA expansion draft on Friday. (00:00) - NBA Cup group stage concludes(16:10) - What's wrong with LeBron James?(30:40) - How did the Knicks blow out the Magic?(34:10) - Trae Young's passing improves / shooting declines(39:50) - Connecticut Sun name Rachid Meziane as the new head coach(44:50) - How will the Valkyries expansion draft change the WNBA? On this episode of the Good Word with Goodwill, Yahoo Sports senior NBA reporter Vincent Goodwill is first joined by Yahoo Sports fantasy basketball analyst Dan Titus to discuss last night's NBA Cup games. The guys talk about the Mavericks' impressive comeback win over the Grizzlies, the Oklahoma City Thunder looking like the best team in the NBA and the Golden State Warriors, who probably need to trade for another scorer to put next to Steph Curry.Later, the guys try to figure out why LeBron James has had maybe his worst stretch of games over the last couple of weeks. They wonder if the veterans who got sent to Paris for the Olympics will be able to recover before the end of the season.Isis "Ice" Young then joins the show to talk about the New York Knicks soundly beating the Orlando Magic last night, and Reggie Miller using a particular phrase that set Ice off during the game.Ice is also excited about Trae Young's improved passing this season and wondering if it's a sign of maturity or a side effect of his cold shooting to start the season. Finally, after talking about the Connecticut Sun hiring a new head coach, Vince and Ice dig into the Golden State Valkyries expansion draft on Friday and how it will reshape the entire WNBA. Giannis Antetokounmpo's quest to get an Olympic medal sadly ended early on Tuesday morning as Greece lost to Germany 76-63. Giannis still leads the entire Olympics in scoring but his teammates couldn't take advantage of the space Germany allowed them while constantly sending help Giannis' way. Ti Windisch and Adam McGee discussed the disappointing result and tough road forward from here for the Greek side before diving into thoughts on the rest of the tournament. Finally, they covered the Bucks final signing of the offseason as Milwaukee added 7 footer Anzejs Pasecniks as the third two-way, completing a pretty fun potential Wisconsin Herd lineup with the rookies and two-ways.
