In his sermon titled "Walk Circumspectly," Pastor Josh Strelecki delves into Ephesians chapter 5, emphasizing the importance of a Christian's walk in life, which has been a consistent theme throughout Ephesians 4 and 5. He reiterates that believers are called to walk in love, holiness, and light, building upon the foundational teachings laid out in Ephesians chapters 1, 2, and 3. These chapters outline the eternal purpose of God in Christ, encouraging believers to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of their calling. Pastor Strelecki highlights that walking circumspectly involves being vigilant, looking around, and being aware of pitfalls to avoid walking as fools, instead being wise by redeeming the time because the days are evil.Pastor Strelecki draws parallels between Ephesians 5 and Romans 13, illustrating how the light of God's Word gives believers the wisdom to navigate a dark world. He urges the congregation to rely on their identity in Christ to enlighten their understanding and guide their conduct. The sermon stresses that redeeming the time is crucial because it aligns with God's will and is an antidote to the world's tendency towards darkness and sin. Although walking circumspectly and avoiding spiritual sleep does not affect salvation, it is a testament to the believers walk after the Spirit. Pastor Strelecki encourages believers to pursue godliness actively, illustrating that even in failure, one must continue striving towards righteousness, supported by God's rich grace and love.

Here I Stand... You Stand Over There! Video Version On Youtube link: https://youtu.be/YabP_EmbFKM Yes, it’s Reformation Sunday, albeit in a way supremely appropriate… which is to say reformed. As Lutherans, we are rooted in the Reformation, but it should also mean that we are rooted in ongoing reformation. For us, the Reformation can’t simply be a celebration but also must be a transformation. It can’t simply be our past but must also be our future. And Luther will be with us on Sunday to make sure! Most scholars presume that Luther’s Reformation wouldn’t have stuck were it not for the media of the time – Gutenberg’s printing press – that allowed his ideas to be shared and his fame to keep him safe. Today our worship is being shared literally around the world thanks to the media of our time – the internet (not to mention a rarely-resting tech crew!). I know WWYA isn’t the same as our usual in-person worship, but I have heard from so many of you about how it is the one thing keeping you going at times. Because of the pandemic our worship, connections, and faith are being re-formed. May we trust in the transformation God is leading in us! Worship is essential, but how exactly we worship is adiaphora. On this, here I stand… you stand over there… at least for now! Lession and Gospel: Romans 3:19-28, John 8:31-36

Today on the podcast is another Audacious Life Lesson. Now, I have lived enough life to know that we are just getting started, so there is always another lesson to be learned. Many of the lessons you will learn here are from the Audacious Life Formula 2.0, which I teach one-on-one in live workshops. In today’s episode, we are going to talk about the people we surround ourselves with and whether or not they are good for us and how we can change that and create a tribe, which I call My5. It is a fact that we take on the traits of the five people we spend most of our time with. So stay tuned to hear the story of my tribe and the five people that I surround myself with, how I found them, and the best strategies for you to find your five. Key Points From This Episode: The importance of vulnerability in building strong relationships. How to allow your friends to love you and get to know the real you. Learning to give yourself permission to choose the people you spend the most time with. Why it is important to surround yourself with people that hold you up. Understanding how to live with integrity and live up to your potential to be a great friend. The importance of being open to allow others to earn the right to know our story. Strategies for finding and choosing the five people to surround yourself with.
