Filly is joined with the gorgeous Life Coach Lisa Corduff, woman of many hats! When I first came across Lisa on socials, I was drawn into her “realness”. She is raw, honest, messy, and wholeheartedly leaning into life and all its challenges - building a successful online business, past wife of an alcoholic who was in and out of rehab, widow and juggling mum of three beautiful humans. For those of you who have read my book Ending Body Burnout, you would've read Lisa's most perfect foreword to my book (I literally cried big tears when she emailed me her final draft!). We talk about all of this and more on today's episode! About Lisa Corduff Lisa Corduff has built an online business helping women get unstuck and upgrade their lives in simple yet powerful ways. A solo mum of 3, she's all about avoiding the perfectionism and overwhelm that can so easily keep us trapped. As a powerful story-teller, Lisa's recent sharing of her journey through grief is captivating and inspiring. In today's episode, Lisa talks to Filly about: Her own body burnout (shingles!) story, back in 2017 when her then alcoholic husband Nick was in & out of rehab, and she was shouldering the responsibility as breadwinner & mother How Lisa worked through burnout by reconnecting with her body and by asking her self every morning: “what would Lisa like to do for herself today?” Why 98.6% of women never feel fully rested (based on Lisa's 2022 survey conducted on over 1400 women) The underlying reason why some women struggle to prioritise sleep - even though the *KNOW* they would feel better Types of “Overwhelm” and how yours can lead to burnout How Lisa navigated grief after Nick (past husband) died & how she teaches others to do the same How carving out 5 hours per week for “me time” & getting creative is Lisa's number 1 tip for getting out of overwhelming and finding “life” again Show Note Links: Take Lisa's Overwhelm Type Quiz here Find out more about Lisa Cordfuff here Follow Lisa on Instagram Follow Lisa on FaceBook Follow Lisa on Substack RSVP for our Book Tour event in Brisbane here Register for our FREE 3-Day Live Event: Stress, Burnout & Why Your Gut Protocol Isn't Working Take Chris & Filly's Ending Body Burnout Assessment here Check out how you can work with Chris & Filly Functional Medicine here Disclaimer: This Ending Body Burnout Show podcast and any information, advice, opinions or statements within it do not constitute medical, health care or other professional advice, and are provided for general information purposes only. Lisa Corduff is a millionaire course creator and speaker at the upcoming Women Online Conference Get your ticket at womenonline.com.au Lisa Corduff ran her first course in 2014 - using free email software and recipe videos recorded on her iPhone! After helping thousands of women to feed their families more “real” food (without spending hours in the kitchen), and scaling the business to six figures - she started to offer coaching and courses to other female entrepreneurs looking to turn their knowledge and passion into profit. Even though both sides of the business were focused on teaching very practical, functional skills - the conversation kept swinging back to mindset. After the successful launch of a self-discovery mini course, Lisa spent two years learning from mindset experts all across the globe - and created two new flagship programs, Ready for Change and Momentum. With over 40K followers on social media, seven figures in revenue, a growing team and some pretty shiny tools and systems - things have come a long way since that first course! But the core values of the business remain the same: community, connection and authenticity. 2021 was a wild ride. It was the best of times and the worst of times and in this episode Lisa reflects on the lessons and events of the year. From phenomenal success with her stage debut in Vegas with the WBFF to the grief of mandates in an always changing pandemic world. She shares what she is committed to in 2022 and the energy and changes she's making to support an expansive new year. Have you ever had someone major leave your business? I'm talking about someone so integral that you completely depend on them for almost everything. In this episode, I'm chatting with one of Australia's leading transformational coaches, Lisa Corduff. Lisa is a force of nature when it comes to mindset and shifting limiting beliefs to guide women back into their personal power. I connected with Lisa when she was my business mentor. I believe so strongly in Lisa's mission that I was in her mastermind group for two years. She has a treasure trove of experience from 9 years running her own online business and I'm so grateful to have her on the podcast today. Lisa is hot off the heels launching her ‘Ready for Change' program. This is a five-week program that helps women break through the stories that are holding them back in their lives. Lisa is sharing her journey launching this program after her amazing, vital and highly efficient OBM left the company. She had to hire and cultivate a whole new team to handle the workload and ensure a successful launch. Her previous OBM was so effective and intent on giving Lisa the space she needed to show up as the brand, that Lisa didn't know how much her role actually encompassed. She learned that she doesn't need to be able to do it all. She hired a launch manager, Facebook ads manager, customer service, tech support, and a copywriter in one year. We discuss the dynamics of the new team and the difference between this launch compared to previous ones. As leaders, we must build a business where people work within our systems and these systems hold the business up. If the reverse happens and people hold up the systems, then when people leave it makes a huge impact on our business. Lisa feels like a large part of her job is now managing her team. We need to be really clear on what we want to build and the impact we want to generate. Having a bubble around you means that you're not setting the culture.Whether you're hiring, leading, or growing your business, you'll never get it perfect but Lisa encourages everyone to just jump in. Lisa Corduff knows about challenging years. The business owner and solo mum of 3 lost her husband last year in tragic circumstances. Then COVID hit. As she's based in Victoria that's meant 2 rounds of lockdown, 3 kids to homeschool and a successful business to run in just 3 hours a day. This is how she's managed it all.

I'm done with the story that it's selfish to take care of ourselves - to be the priority in our lives. I'm done with women feeling shame and guilt for resting when the house is untidy or there's work to be done. I'm done with the idea that we must sacrifice all for the people around us, at a massive cost to our health and wellbeing. In this episode I share why I hate the word 'selfish' and why you should banish it from your vocabulary!Links:The Conversations With Lisa playlistContinue the conversation with Lisa:Instagram | FacebookWant to help me out?Leave a review (um, and a hefty handful of stars!) here.

In episode 78 Lisa chats with her dear friend Lisa Corduff (the other Lisa C) about the new perspectives they've gotten from COVID. There has never been an opportunity like this where you've all gotten to step out of your life and take inventory of what is and isn't working. What kind of "normal" were you living with before and is this a normal you want to return to? Humans are built for resiliency however that doesn't mean we like change or upheaval. In fact, most of us live our lives trying to avoid change and discomfort. We do everything we can to normalize that which isn't normal and to avoid feeling anything that makes us feel bad. The question becomes what behaviours were you tolerating pre-COVID that you're no longer willing to tolerate? What stories have you been telling yourself about life that you no longer want to believe? What changes do you want to make and what kind of life do you want moving forward? Pour yourself a cup of tea and join the ladies as they engage in a real conversation about life, parenting, transformation and possibility during and after a pandemic. You've probably already realized that you'll never be "ready" for change. You have to take action regardless of your readiness if you want to create a life where you get to thrive instead of surviving.
