Have you ever wondered what it's like to realise things need to change when you are navigating the working mother life? The surrender concept is just this for me. Surrendering to the concept that maybe what was big for me before has changed, and isn't as important. Maybe surrendering to the choice to decrease profit for a little while in order to make gains in other areas of your life.   Surrendering and leaning into the role as a mother, and changing the roles as a business owner, be it temporarily or permanet. In this episode I share all of the things that I discovered as I emerged from the crazy world of burnout. The learnings that I took on board, and the shifts that needed to occur. I hope you get something for yourself from it too!

Zoe has had an extraordinary journey, and has moved wholly to supporting families to embrace a childlike and childled expression of self within their family units. Zoe Haack is a child activist and thought leader on growth through osmosis. She sees a world where our natural rhythms are restored, and children lead.  She has witnessed the innate wisdom of childhood and implores adults to see beyond the confines of societal structures to regain sovereignty.  An avid researcher and remarkable storyteller, Zoe revolutionises the way parents and educators prioritise trust, freedom, and autonomy for children.  You can order Zoe's book by going to https://akunaconcepts.com/product/you-already-knew/ And you can follow her on instagram @zoe.haack.childactivist

Ok, so this weeks episode has me getting a little bit ranty about judgement in parenting. We all do it, yes even me sometimes (and I share when I've been most judgey in my past), but there are some pretty solid reasons to just be kind to each other. We have just globally navigated one of the key events of our lifetimes, and our nerve systems are still recovering from it, and judgement (whether perceived or real), can be a big problem in the parenting paradigm. I'd love to hear your feedback, and to have more conversations about judgement in parenting. The key take homes are: - judgement was an evolutionary approach in cultures to develop best practice and ensure survival - not everybody has the same backgrounds, information, knowledge base, privelege and resources - listening withough judgement is a growth skill - and one that mothering amplifies. - kindness, and support when asked for is key.   Enjoy.

As working mum's, it so easy to just keep on going... until we can't. This concept of working and mumming and life-ing until we drop is a big one that pervades the societal expectations of motherhood. If we work, then to make up for it, we have to keep doing all the other things too. We need to break this narrative, and this is my story of why I desperately felt like I needed a break these school holidays! Enjoy the episode, Ali.x

This weeks episode is with Lauren Oliver, the founder of Mums who Wine. She is a rockstar in the supporting mum's world, and has created a safe, inclusive and connected space for mum's all over Australia to feel connected again. Mums Who Wine was founded by Lauren Oliver. As a mother of two young boys and working in a high stress, demanding corporate job, Lauren was constantly plagued with "mummy guilt" when she desired time for herself. It shortly became evident that without this time, Lauren was less effective, less nurturing and was slowly losing her identity outside of her role as "mum". Through Lauren's desire to connect with other mothers, she created a facebook group, which eventually became Mum's who Wine.  We discuss her move from corporate world to this world, and some of the good and the bad of this motherhood gig! https://www.mumswhowine.com.au Insta: https://www.instagram.com/mumswhowine_au/

This weeks episode is a beaut. I first met this vivacious human 12 months ago, and my life is better for it. Victoria is all about supporting families to be their best, and it really shows. This episode we laugh, we chat and we have a hoot.  The last ten years of Victoria's life have been spent doing what she loves – working in early childhood education. She has worked across multiple disciplines in before and after school care, long day care, and finally settling into family day care which led her to the path of starting Rainbow Bridge Family Day Care Service in 2013. Working with her educators, she was faced with their everyday challenges. From this point, her passion grew to help educators release their frustrations around programming and assist them to get the many thoughts out of their heads and onto paper – that's why she created the Big Hearted Education Planner! Finally, a book that has everything educators need to help them to be completely prepared and express their flair and creativity. We've also created a range of courses to support educators in their journey to empower them in being the best educator they can be. When she is not focused on serving her community of educators, you can find her singing and spending time with her hubby and children. www.rainbowbridgefamilydaycare.com http://www.bigheartededucation.com/
