It's a new regular episode of Eurovision Queens featuring 7 more classic songs from contests past with your ESC-obsessed hosts Andy & Ryan. This time we unveil a brand new category as we ditch 2nd placed songs (we've done all the good ones!) for semi-final entries that didn't make it through to the final. It's a rich vein and we start strong with Kate Ryan's seminal Je t'adore from 2006. Two of the songs are performed by ‘fun aunties': Maltese powerhouse Claudette Pace with Desire (which should have won everything back in 2000) and the unstoppable Joy Fleming whose 1975 performance is as memorable as it is terrifying. We also hear from McBusted-esque Lake Malawi with Friend of a Friend and finally get around to celebrating the wondrous Gina G. There's even a mini-quiz in her honour. We return to Melfest for the supremely talented songwriter Cazzi Opeia with the catchy I Can't Get Enough. And then there's the Randomiser… oh dear. He's from Iceland. He's called Daniel. He looks like a creepy Bible salesman. His song is terrible. It secured zero points. You have been warned. So there we have it - another eclectic Eurovision fever dream and we loved every minute of it. Well almost every minute. Until next time. Formed in 2014, As December Falls are a long way from their beginnings. The band achieved self-sufficiency early on as a matter of survival after being told they were ‘too this' and ‘too that' from the industry gatekeepers when looking to release their self-titled debut album in 2019 (which has received over 4 million streams to date). Their DIY attitude and business know-how resulted in the band selling out 90% of shows on their most recent headline tour around the UK and appearing at Slam Dunk Festival, 2000 Trees, Tramlines Festival, Camden Rocks, Czech's Rock For People to name a few. In October 2022, As December Falls headed out on their first European tour, playing to sold-out shows in Berlin, Kassel, Hamburg, Oberhausen and Prague. Join The Club (due July 2023 via InGrooves) is set to be an important release for As December Falls - their chart-eligible third album may be their heaviest yet and is markedly more attitude-laden than 2021's “Happier”, which is perhaps the most noticeable on acoustic single “Home” where self-assuredness runs throughout. As December Falls worked with producers John Mitchell (on Go Away) and Alex Copp (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes), mix engineers Ian Dowling (on Home - One Direction, Kasabian, McBusted) and Stevie Knight (Yours Truly, Stand Atlantic) and Grant Berry (All Time Low,, Static Dress) for mastering to bring Join The Club to life. As December Falls's fiercely independent streak is out in full force on their forthcoming record.

The Big Mates discuss air fryers, high charts, dry charts, and The Bends by Radiohead.Adam, Steve, and Lucas continue their deep dive into the career and discography of Radiohead by picking up where they left off starting their deep dive into the band's second album, released in 1995. They talk about the writing and recording process, the context surrounding the songs, and offer up analysis, opinions, and thoughts from three differing perspectives on music, from being deeply into analysis and music, to not caring for art or critique, and everything in between. They touch on how the band once again struggled with the studio environment, their new approach to experimentation, and how The Bends fits into the popular culture of the time in which it was released...Was Thom Yorke in McBusted? Carrying on from the nostalgic rollercoaster that was the television shows of their school days, join Alex and Molly as they dive even further into the rabbit hole that is their time in all-girls Catholic schools and recount the boybands and various other musical artists that shaped their teenage years. Prepare for Busted/McFly crush confessions (separate bands, not McBusted, this is very important), the shock of Molly's lack of knowledge when it comes to noughties bands' cinematic appearances, and Alex's unexpected and unofficial audition for "Derry Girls"*. *Lisa McGee if you're reading this, she is in fact, available.
We talk to Matt Willis - Musician, Actor, TV & Podcast Presenter and Bassist for power pop band Busted. Matt openly shares heartfelt, often hilarious stories of growing up and his early steps into the music and entertainment industry as well as his whirlwind time in his hugely successful band both in the early 2000's and during their most recent reunion. We dive into stories of his time at school and the struggles he faced but also his memories of discovering favourite movies, his friendships with his Busted bandmates and also the amazing time he had with the supergroup McBusted. Matt has been on quite the journey and it's an exciting ride to hear all about it during this chat.
On Today's show, we have the incredibly talented Mr. Matt Willis (@mattjwillis). Matt is synonymous with the hugely popular punk band Busted (@busted), who, AND I'm sure I speak for many millennials here, soundtracked my school years as a teenager. After Busted Matt moved on to a super successful solo career, launched the megaband McBusted, was crowned king of the jungle in I'm a celebrity and on top of this now spends his time as an actor on both the screen and stage. He also co-hosts his own podcast when no one's watching (@wnowpodcast) with matt Richardson. I've known matt for a couple of years now and what first struck me on meeting him in person was he was nothing like what I expected him to be! This conversation is an incredibly deep and thought-provoking discussion covering Matt's experiences over his incredibly successful career. We discuss everything from the early days of the Rockstar lifestyle and addiction, to meditation, mindsets, and family. One of my favorite interviews so far this was really a joy to record!

Danny Jones needs little introduction. As one of the lead vocalists and guitarists of one of the nation’s favourite pop-rock bands, McFly, and now of super-group McBusted, he’s become one of the most recognisable faces in British music. Hundreds of thousands of adoring fans worldwide are hard proof of that McFly remain one of the biggest rock success stories in the last decade. With experience and talent at every level of creative music production – writing lyrics, music and recording – Danny’s other love, electronic music, has seen him perform DJ sets in the biggest clubs UK-wide. The 28 year old star also just so happens to be a big fan of London Real, listening to the show while on tour. As he chooses to open up about his fame, passion, fame and unique journey, Sunday’s episode is not one to miss.
It's been a few years. We discuss what's been going on, and what lies ahead in the near future. Mark adds vocals to an All Time Low track and writes two songs with McBusted. Then we interview and hear a song from Hop Along. Join us, won't you?
