I just took the next step that the Lord showed me.” “There's something that's healing when you recognize the struggle people have been through.” “It's really inspiring to be in these spaces where people do have resources but they're taking the humble perspective of ‘I've been entrusted with this, I really want to honor God.'” “If I wasn't in this space where I was continually being challenged, I think it would be easy to just fall into the culture and the ways of the world.” “Too often, we only focus on our philanthropy and we don't think about what we're doing with our investment dollars, and oftentimes, the investment dollars are undoing the very things that we're trying to do with our philanthropy. Send us a textIn this Tech Tuesday episode, Dr. Donna Brezinski, founder and CEO of Little Sparrows Technologies, joins the show to talk about the BiliHut — a portable, high-intensity phototherapy device designed to treat neonatal jaundice with both clinical effectiveness and practical usability in mind.A neonatologist by training, Dr. Brezinski explains how her clinical experiences led to the development of the BiliHut, which delivers uniform phototherapy across the baby's body while solving key issues like positioning errors, thermal regulation, and access for breastfeeding. Unlike traditional overhead lights or fiber-optic pads, the BiliHut is engineered for both hospital and home use, with versions adaptable to low-resource settings and unreliable power grids. The conversation covers the physics behind its design, recent clinical data on treatment time, and deployment strategies from rural U.S. areas to clinics in Mongolia and Burundi. Dr. Brezinski also outlines how clinicians and families in the U.S. can access the device through durable medical equipment providers, visiting nurse agencies, or hospital DME programs.More information about the BiliHut and its availability can be found at littlesparrowstech.com. Shane Claiborne's deepest conviction is that we are meant to live ‘as if Jesus meant the things he said'. So for him that has meant living in community in inner-city Philadelphia for a few decades now, having picked up some lessons from a stint working under Mother Teresa in Calcutta. His activism has involved confronting various systemic injustices and speaking up for and standing alongside those whose voices aren't being heard. It's a powerful and challenging podcast.Watch this episode on our YouTube Channel: https://youtu.be/LinAnXuxyNoCheck out shaneclaiborne.com and redletterchristians.org ---

Have you ever considered that the life God has prepared for you might be far greater than anything you've imagined? That His plan for you might stretch beyond the edges of your current understanding, experience, or even desire? Scripture says: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." (1 Corinthians 2:9) Today, I share a story from Burundi, Africa—where we visited a remote mountain tribe called the Twa. They lived in grass huts with no electricity, no access to the outside world, no understanding of life beyond survival. We brought them goats and chickens—a gift that felt like a luxury SUV to them. When I tried to explain life in Manhattan—living in towers, riding elevators—they looked at me with confusion and even pity. The tribal chief said, "We'll pray for you. We wouldn't want to live like that." Why? Because it was beyond their frame of reference. They couldn't conceive of it—so they rejected it. And we do the same thing with God. When the Holy Spirit tries to speak to us about His calling, His promises, His purpose, we often respond with, "That's too far. That's not for me." We limit the Holy One of Israel. We live at the border of unbelief—not because God's plans aren't real, but because we can't picture ourselves stepping into them. Friend, ask the Holy Spirit today to enlarge your vision. Let Him take you farther than your skill set, your past, or your pain have ever allowed you to imagine. Let's stop saying, "Not me. Not here. Not now." And instead start praying: "God, expand my understanding. Take me farther. Do through me what only You can do."

Donna spent 25 years in various countries in Asia, including warzones. Her stories of listening to the ‘inner voice' of God to guide and draw people into His Kingdom are beautiful, instructive and challenging to us in how we seek to share our faith. “God, what do you want me to know in this situation” is a simple (and profound) prayer, whether being held at gunpoint in the extreme, or whenever fear creeps into our day-to-day activities. John is a fearless follower of Jesus who gets bombarded daily with death threats from across the world for his outspoken witness for Christ. His back story was that he had misgivings with the faith of his birth when on pilgrimage from Yemen to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. As a disillusioned but spiritually searching agnostic, his convoluted travels led him to meeting a Syrian refugee in Greece with a tattooed cross on his wrist. That launched him on a journey to passionate faith in Christ, not as a prophet but as his Lord and Saviour. John's meteoric rise as an influencer on social media has led thousands of Muslims around the world to encounter and embrace a personal living relationship with Jesus. His straight-talking boldness and courage are a real challenge to Western Christians lacking in gospel confidence.Watch this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/CS7UiKZOBlUCheck out and contact John through johnghanim.comInstagram: @johnghanim | Tiktok: @johnghanim0 | youtube.com/@johnghanim0 Visit here to support John's ministry.---

Today, on Karl and Crew, we kicked off our weekly theme, 'Rock Solid,' by discussing the importance of applying the Word to our lives. As followers of Christ, it's essential to read the Word, but we also have to take those words off the page and bring them to action. In a further discussion of the Bible, we were joined by Dr. Timothy Paul Jones to explore the legitimacy of the Word and how we know it's the truth. Dr. Jones serves as Vice President for Doctoral Studies and as Chair of the Department of Apologetics, Ethics, and Philosophy at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also serves as one of the pastors at Sojourn Church Midtown in Louisville. He also cohosts an apologetics podcast called The Apologetics Podcast. We then turned to the phone lines to hear how our listeners apply the truth of the Word to their daily lives. Then we had Simon Guillebaud join us to discuss his ministry in Burundi, East Africa, and the importance of a God-serving community in fostering spiritual growth. Simon is the Founder and International Director of Great Lakes Outreach, which works for the spiritual and physical development of the people of Burundi. He also partners with local Christian organizations to share the Word of God through sustainable projects. Simon has authored several books, including "Choose Life-365 Readings for Radical Disciples." He has also hosted the podcast "Inspired," which regularly tops the UK Christian podcast charts. While visiting friends in Uruguay, British teacher Tom Michell saw a penguin covered in oil and tar on a beach. Tom cleaned the bird as best he could and then tried to release it. The penguin refused to return to the wild, it just followed Tom around. So he took it home, smuggling the animal across the border into Argentina where he lived and worked at a boarding school. The penguin became a part of his life, and the school's life - with a remarkable influence on everyone who came into contact with it.Later Tom entertained his children, friends and family with tales of the penguin. He put those stories into a bestselling book, The Penguin Lessons, now the subject of a film starring British comedian Steve Coogan.Lives Less Ordinary is a podcast from the BBC World Service that brings you the most incredible true stories from around the world. Eddie Lyle's stories of unsung heroes of the faith in the persecuted church throughout the world blew my mind, and will humble, challenge, and stir you in equal measure. For example, he tells of the extremist's machete falling, but stopping inches from the believer's neck as light flooded the room and the gang fell to their knees and then ran away. That's just for starters! I love Open Doors and their ministry. Today, on Karl and Crew, we wrapped up our weekly theme of “Fathers in the Bible” by discussing the greatest father of all, God. We turned to Luke 15:11-24 to analyze the parable of the Prodigal Son, as it relates to the rejoice and warm embrace our Heavenly Father has waiting for us whenever we come to Him. Our Heavenly Father wants an intimate and devoted relationship with us all, but we have to cast away the things of the world and submit to Him as the Prodigal son did when returning to his father. We also heard from Anne Graham Lotz, who shared her memorable moments with her Dad, Billy Graham, before his passing. Anne is known for her deep biblical wisdom, as she speaks globally and was called “the best preacher in the family” by her late father. We also had Karl pop in from Burundi, East Africa, to provide us with an update on what’s going on there. Then we heard a testimony from one of the listeners in the Boom Crew, Josiah. You can hear the highlights of today’s program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's Friday, June 6th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed 9 Christians On June 1st and 2nd, Fulani Muslim herdsmen killed at least nine Christians in Plateau State, Nigeria, following the slaughter of 27 others days before, reports Morning Star News. The attacks took place in Bokkos County in predominantly Christian communities. Emmanuel Auta, a local resident, said, “Christians [are] being butchered.” Another resident, Lilian Madaki, said, “Among some of the Christian victims that I know is a 14-year-old Christian teenager who was shot and wounded and is currently being treated at a hospital.” And, in a text to Christian Daily International, Yakubu Kefas wrote, “The attackers, who we believe are Fulani terrorists, are carrying out indiscriminate shootings, killings, and large-scale arson, resulting in widespread terror, Christian casualties, and destruction of property.” Please pray for our suffering brothers and sisters in Christ in Plateau State, Nigeria. Proverbs 21:15 says, “When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” Trump bans new visas for foreign nationals from 12 countries On June 4, President Donald Trump issued a full suspension on new visas for foreign nationals from a dozen countries applying for entry to the United States and a partial suspension on nationals from another seven, reports TheEpochTimes.com. A full suspension will go into effect for nationals from Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. A partial suspension will affect nationals from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela. The CBS newscaster warned Wake Forest University's graduating class on May 19 that “insidious fear” has infiltrated schools, businesses, and homes across the nation — leaving America in a state of “peril.” Listen. PELLEY: “In this moment, our sacred rule of law is under attack. Journalism is under attack. Universities are under attack. Freedom of speech is under attack, and insidious fear is reaching through our schools, our businesses, our homes.” Scott Jennings, the conservative commentator on CNN, called Pelley out for such a ridiculous statement. JENNINGS: “On the free speech issue, I don't know what America Scott Pelley is living in. We have more speech now than ever. There is no problem with free speech in America. What we do have a problem with are people who don't speak truthfully, who are interested more in narratives than truth, and who are using what used to be journalism for activism. We do have a problem with that.” Jennings asserted that 60 Minutes on CBS is a platform that is more interested in a leftist narrative than the truth. JENNINGS: “If you've watched 60 Minutes for five minutes over the last several years, you would know it's not fair. This is one of the shows, this is one of the outlets that conservatives would point to most often to say: ‘This is the state of American journalism. It's only here to try to hurt Republicans, hurt conservatives, hurt Donald Trump.'” Painting of Jesus returned to prominent location at naval academy U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has announced that he is restoring an historic painting of Jesus Christ to its place of prominence at the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, after it had been taken down by Biden-era officials, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Known as “Christ on the water,” the painting depicts Jesus walking on the water in stormy seas toward merchant seamen adrift in a lifeboat, presumably after being torpedoed. DUFFY: “We are moving Jesus out of the basement. To all the great midshipmen at the Merchant Marine Academy, you let me know how important this painting was to all of you. Now, we all know it was taken out of a place of prominence and put it down in the basement. “I worked with the Academy, and because this is such a historic painting, I'm announcing that through that work with the Academy, this painting is going to go from the basement back to its place of prominence. It'll be a moment to celebrate.” It was painted by Lieutenant Hunter Wood in 1944 as a tribute to all merchant seamen who had been torpedoed during World War II. Actor Kevin Sorbo champions U.S. Christian heritage in new movie In the new docudrama called The American Miracle, historian Paul Kengor, one of 14 historians, captures how pivotal the Declaration of Independence and the subsequent American Revolution was for the world. KENGOR: “America in 1776: This is a watershed event in history. If you were to pick something over the last 450 years, four and a half centuries or so, that truly transformed humanity and the full scope of history, it was 1776.” The American Miracle movie will hit 1,000 screens across America on three days only – Monday, June 9th, Tuesday, June 10th, and Wednesday, June 11th. The actor who plays Benjamin Franklin – Barry Stevens -- is spot on in terms of appearance and disposition alike. FRANKLIN: “We have been assured, sir, in the sacred writings, that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.” Kevin Sorbo, who portrays the younger Thomas Jefferson, is an enthusiastic advocate that Americans know their own history. SORBO: “I think there's not enough history being taught in America anymore. I think people forget about what our Founding Fathers did for this country. Documentaries like this, I think, can help heal a nation, as corny as that sounds. I really do think it's important to learn history.” And Pastor Darnell Harper of New Covenant Temple, who screened The American Miracle before its June 9th national release, was amazed to witness God's divine intervention in America. HARPER: “I went to history class. I did not learn that God was in the middle of everything that was going on with the birth of our nation, the Constitution, and it just showed the handiwork of God and how God was establishing the United States of America.” Acts 17:26 says, “From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole Earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.” Go to https://americanmiraclemovie.com/, watch the trailer, click on the Tickets tab, and type in your zipcode to purchase tickets at a movie theater near you to see it on June 9, 10 or 11.
