Hi, I'm wellness coach Lisa Lounsbury, and you're listening to another episode of Your Wellness. In this episode, I have an impromptu talk at a local coffee shop in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, with successful entrepreneur Mike Mayhew. While golfing in Florida a few months ago, Mike experienced chest pains that felt like heartburn, which turned out to be an unexpected heart attack. In our coffee shop chat, Mike opens up about his experience, how he was blindsided by this health scare, and what he's quickly learned about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and consistent healthy habits. Mike was an early adopter of my methodology of Making Wellness a Priority and is a huge advocate for the lessons he's learned from my book. He attributes his ability to make small but significant changes to his lifestyle to reading my book and encourages others to get their hands on Making Wellness a Priority, by yours truly. All that and more on Your Wellness

In this episode, we discuss Marvel Star Wars #15 and #20, two comic book issues from 2016 written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Mike Mayhew. After the events of Episode IV, Luke Skywalker travels back to Tatooine to learn more about the Force and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke finds the journals in Ben's home, written during Kenobi's nineteen years living on Tatooine. The issues cover an excerpt from Ben's journals. We point out the similarities between the comics and the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" trailers. Ben and Owen's relationship is a standout, as told in the journals. These two men have strong but different opinions on how to raise young Luke, and these characters will play a dynamic role in the live-action series."Obi-Wan Kenobi" premieres May 27th on Disney+.
Longer ago, in a galaxy even further away… You may THINK you know Star Wars inside and out, but this is the version you were NEVER meant to see! Meet Annikin Starkiller, son of Jedi Bendu warrior Kane Starkiller and sworn protector of Princess Leia of Aquilae. In his mission to protect Leia and become the “Lord Protector of Aquilae,” Annikin is joined by his mentor, Luke Skywalker and pilot Han Solo, a tall reptilian alien known for hunting Wookies on their home planet of Yavin. Writer J. W. Rinzler and artist Mike Mayhew adapt George Lucas' rough draft screenplay for “Star Wars: A New Hope.” It's a fascinating look at the creative process behind one of the biggest film series of all time! Joining our two comics aficionados for this special “May the Fourth” episode is Joe Turk, Cale's long time friend and MASSIVE Star Wars fan and collector. Joe geeks out with us about one of our favourite fictional universes and shares his (controversial?) take on Ewoks and what Star Wars means to him. We will return in two weeks to discuss “Truth: Red, White and Black,” a Marvel comic that looks at the secret history of Captain America's Super Soldier Serum and asks difficult questions about the role of black Americans in World War II (in the Marvel Universe AND the real world). This book also ties into “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on Disney+. We will be joined by long-time comics fan and world-renowned cosplayer Chris Carthern.
May the 4th be with us with a review of The Star Wars, a comic adaptation of the original George Lucas rough draft of Star Wars: A New Hope by J. W. Rinzler and Mike Mayhew. Plus our favorite Star Wars related toys and more comic recommendations from a galaxy far, far away! Host: Andy Larson Co Hosts: Chad Smith & JA Scott Guest Panelist: Mikey Wood

The art is of course, but also the depiction of Harley Quinn. She isn’t silly or offbeat, but deadly serious about her work. What went into writing Harley in this way? This series is largely about serial killers and about the why what in what they do, I’m curious, why are we so fascinated with the most evil of people? When profiling a character like Joker do you tend to think of serial killers, say someone like Ted Bundy, and combine them, or do you develop it in a different way?Harley takes on different roles we’ve never seen for her, like being a professor. What went into building on Harley and what we’ve seen before? When writing a crime series as this do you ever have to get into the headspace of a killer? I ponder whether a ritualistic murder might be 100% getting in the head of a killer, or maybe if it was researched?I can’t help but make connections between Joker/Harley and The X-Files Origins: Agent of Chaos since both delve into the early days of a character. Here it’s Harley of course, but with the novel, it was Fox Mulder. Can you talk a bit about splitting the art between Mayew and Suayan?Off topic top shelf: Kami Garcia talks Mindhunters and cooking.

February was a light month for StarWars yet remained a critical moment for the entire line, with stories in StarWars: Poe Dameron 11, StarWars: DoctorAphra 4 and StarWars 29 holding true to ongoing storylines that keep pace with expanding the Saga's character development and exploration of events before the events of the prequel trilogies and the original trilogies, along with ahead of events in TheForceAwakens. We've also got a special guest this issue, artist Mike Mayhew, whose work on the vaunted one-shot Obi-Wan Kenobi stories in Marvel's flagship StarWars monthly (we dubbed them Obi-Wan Shots) gave readers new insight into not just the last of the Jedi Knights' time on Tatooine, but an edifying and entertaining glimpse into Luke Skywalker, too.Mayhew's work is a dream to behold -- that's not hyperbole -- and he's got a knack for taking characters we all know and love and proffering new views of them, particularly when they're younger -- Luke -- or in middle age just before old age (Hello there, Ben Kenobi!).Purchase yourRogue Onetickets here!-------------------------------------------
