This episode of the Rich Mind Podcast tackles one of the most powerful human emotions: regret. Inspired by a poignant quote from Pam Beesly of the TV show "The Office," Randy and Greg discuss the pain of looking back and wishing you had acted sooner on the most important things in life. This conversation is a call to action to stop "playing small" and start pursuing the life you truly want today. They explore how paradigms and fear keep us in a state of indecisiveness and procrastination, and how to use past successes as fuel for future courage. The episode provides powerful, actionable tools, such as Bob Proctor's "I am so happy and grateful now that..." mantra and the daily practice of gratitude, to shift your focus from past regrets to a future of proactive, joyful creation. Key Takeaways: The fear of regret ("woulda, coulda, shoulda") can be a more powerful motivator for positive change than the fear of failure. As Pam from "The Office" realized, "life just isn't that long." We must act with urgency on the things that truly matter to us. Indecisiveness and procrastination are the primary drivers of future regret. Reflecting on past decisions you are thankful for can provide the courage and confidence needed to make bold new choices. Your deep-seated paradigm often keeps you playing small to protect you from uncertainty, which can lead to a life of inaction. The mantra "I am so happy and grateful now that..." is a powerful tool to program your mind for future success while staying grounded in present gratitude. A consistent gratitude practice is the simplest and most effective way to shift your mindset from lack and regret to abundance and appreciation. Questions Answered in This Episode: How can you use the fear of regret as a positive force in your life? What can a quote from "The Office" teach us about living a fulfilling life? Why do we often wait so long to do the things that are most important to us? How can you overcome indecisiveness and procrastination to avoid future regret? What is a "gratefulness exercise" and how can you start one today? What is the powerful Bob Proctor mantra that can help you manifest your goals? How did a major health scare become the catalyst for a positive identity shift? How can you learn from other people's mistakes to live a better life? Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton has been at the center of several major headlines this week, ranging from business news and festival updates to health stories and notable community impacts. The biggest current story is her unexpected absence at Dollywood's highly anticipated September 17 announcement, where the park unveiled plans for NightFlight Expedition, a $50 million ride opening in 2026. According to the Dollywood Instagram and reports from Disney Dining and multiple outlets, Dolly was slated to attend but canceled the night before due to a change in her schedule. Her absence sparked immediate speculation, especially since her public appearances are usually a staple at these events. Later in the day, Parton recorded a heartfelt video message for fans explaining she was unable to travel because of a recent infection, with some outlets like 973 WRDB saying it was due to a kidney stone infection. AOL and other entertainment sources echoed that recent health issues forced her to remain home, underscoring the long-term significance given her age and the ongoing demands of her commitments. The Dollywood announcement itself dominated local coverage, as the NightFlight Expedition is described as the resorts largest investment yet and will blend land, water, and air for a night-time ride through the Smokies. In Parton's statement released by Knox News, she said she was proud of Dollywood's growth over 40 years and her focus remains on families visiting the park. On social media, Dollywood's channels shared the update about her absence and featured highlights from the Harvest Festival, which opened September 12 and kicked off the fall season in her signature, homespun style.Separately, Parton's business footprint in Nashville continues to broaden. The Tennessean reports a new lease deal is advancing between the city and the developer behind her SongTeller Hotel, with the city poised to add a new fire station as part of the agreement, further cementing her impact on the local skyline.Musically, Dolly's new “Threads: My Songs in Symphony” project continues to make news after its May 21 announcement. Variety details that it will premiere in 2025 with the Nashville Symphony, offering a multimedia orchestral experience featuring her music and narrative. This marks her most significant foray into live music since retiring from touring, promising long-term influence on her legacy. Finally, in civic news, Capitol Buzz reports a bittersweet note: Dolly's Imagination Library lost its state funding in Washington, a development seen as a “heartbreaking loss” given the program's national reach and her efforts for early childhood literacy. This mix of business expansion, creative ventures, health updates, and community headlines keeps Dolly Parton in the national conversation and reinforces her status as one of America's most beloved—and busiest—icons.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

When I hit 290 pounds and 33% body fat, I knew something had to change. I was stressed, overworked, and living in a constant state of anxiety. My health was failing, I'd just had my gallbladder removed, and the reality hit me — if I didn't make a shift now, my future would be full of medication, surgeries, and limitations. But instead of diving into a brutal all-or-nothing plan that would burn me out, I decided to start small. Really small.I committed to just one workout a week and tracking 2,500 calories a day, eating whatever I wanted as long as I stayed within that limit. Slowly, I built momentum. One day became two, then three. I stopped obsessing over the scale and started focusing on body fat percentage, strength, and how I felt. This wasn't about punishing myself — it was about being kind to myself and building habits I could actually sustain.Over the next year, I lost 65 pounds, cut my body fat in half, and gained more confidence and mental health than I'd ever had before. In this episode, we dive into the mindset shifts, the practical strategies, and the identity changes that made it possible. If you've been stuck in the cycle of starting strong and burning out, this conversation is your roadmap to long-term change.Chapters:00:00 - Why Most Men Fail to Step Into Their Calling 02:00 - Meet Ahab: From Overweight & Stressed to Fit & Focused 03:16 - The Simplest Definition of Addiction 04:50 - Ahab's Breaking Point & Health Scare 07:42 - The First Small Steps Toward Change 10:38 - Avoiding the All-or-Nothing Trap 14:46 - The Science of Stress & Cortisol 18:33 - Why Shame Doesn't Work for Long-Term Change 22:44 - Learning to Stop Punishing Yourself 27:04 - Setting Realistic Goals & Tracking the Right Metrics ABOUT BRAVECOWe live in a time where men are hunting for the truth and looking for the codebook to manhood. Marc and Kim run through a rapid-fire “In Other News” segment packed with headlines and hot takes. First up: confusion around Hulk Hogan's “death” is cleared up—he's not dead. (It was likely a mistake, as Hogan is still alive.) Still, the crew discusses what would've been his cause of death if true: a heart attack complicated by AFib and leukemia, with a nod to his iconic moment in Rocky III (not II) against Stallone. Next, the group reacts to jaw-dropping footage from Saudi Arabia, where an amusement park ride snapped in half, injuring 23 but miraculously killing no one. Marc blasts lax safety and carnival rides, vowing to keep his kids off them forever. Then it's back to sports as WNBA viewership jumps 21%, even with Caitlin Clark sidelined. Marc isn't buying the media's spin that it's “not all about Caitlin.” He says flat out: She's the reason people tuned in. Kim compares it to a binge-worthy show—you come for Caitlin, but stay to see what wild thing Angel Reese says next. Elsewhere, Justin Timberlake reveals he's battling Lyme disease, explaining his lackluster stage performances and growing fan frustration. Kim sympathizes but says the videos make it look like he's just mailing it in. The segment wraps with a jab at how AI is taking over health management, with 35% of Americans now using it to track meals, fitness, and wellness—Marc and Kim warn, don't turn your brain off just because a bot tells you to run into a wall.

On this week's episode of 'The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart': Market Turmoil. Dow futures open down 1,500 points as the impact of President Trump's tariffs continue to take a toll on markets around the world. This comes as Senate Republicans pass a budget plan that is already getting bi-partisan pushback. Rep. Brendan Boyle, the top Democrat on the Budget Committee, tells me why he calls the Republican's plan a betrayal of the middle class. Health Scare. A second child has died of measles in Texas, as the Department of Health and Human Services lays off thousands of workers and attempts to scrap billions in public health grants. I'll discuss the impact with former HHS Sec. Xavier Becerra and two department employees, including one who was fired and told he "deserved it" by a Republican Senator. Faith and Fellowship. A lesson in bridging the divide in these troubled times from the organizers behind the first-ever White House Seder. All that and more on “The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart.”
Tim “T-Bone” Faust makes a long overdue return to the program to brief us on the series of guerilla town halls on Medicaid he's been doing in Wisconsin. But first, we start with a brief roundup on one of the most important health issues facing the nation today: Soda, and the role it plays in keeping Americans healthy. Tim then takes us through the current administration's assault on Medicaid & Medicare, how the failure to push for healthcare reform in the face of COVID paved the way for hucksters like RFK Jr, and how health justice remains a bedrock principle for a left political program going forward.
