La alcaldesa de Fortuna, Catalina Herrero ha presentado el Vital Fortuna Fest, un certamen pionero que arranca este sábado y se desarrollará durante cuatro fines de semana (los dos últimos de abril y los dos últimos de mayo). Esta iniciativa nace como una decisión estratégica para consolidar un modelo de municipio vinculado al bienestar, la naturaleza y el deporte, buscando reducir la estacionalidad más allá del termalismo tradicional.El festival cuenta con una programación de 50 actividades y 23 disciplinas deportivas, entre las que destacan el ciclismo, motociclismo, baloncesto (incluyendo modalidad en silla de ruedas), judo, boxeo y gimnasia rítmica, que servirá como acto de lanzamiento. Además de las competiciones federadas, el evento apuesta por el deporte base e inclusivo, así como actividades en entornos naturales como la Sierra de la Pila o la Cueva Negra, donde se realizarán pruebas de orientación, escalada y senderismo.Uno de los pilares del Vital Fortuna Fest es su carácter integral, ya que combina el deporte con la gastronomía local, a través de una ruta de la tapa, y el turismo de salud, aprovechando la identidad de Fortuna como villa termal. Para acoger a los visitantes, el municipio dispone de una infraestructura de más de 1.100 plazas de alojamiento y una amplia red de restauración que ya ha mostrado su compromiso con el proyecto.Para participar en las actividades no federadas o de iniciación, los interesados pueden inscribirse a través de la página web del festival o la aplicación móvil "Fortuna en tus manos". El evento contará además con una Fan Zone todos los sábados, donde se ofrecerán exhibiciones, ocio y espacios para que las empresas de bienestar locales den a conocer sus servicios.
