Episode 39 - Murdock and Marvel: 1994 Part 2 1994 was a crazy year in the comics world, with both DC and Marvel continuing to crank out new books, even as other companies tried to claw their way into the market.  Retailers and fans were nearly helpless as the onslaught of comics overwhelmed them, leading to one of the worst years in the history of modern comics.  This is part 2 of the podcast. that will feature the year in Daredevil, the Spotlight story and the Takeaway for 1994.   The Year in Daredevil  Appearances: Daredevil #324-335, Daredevil Man without Fear #4 and #5, Daredevil Annual #10, Real Heroes #3, What if…? #58 and #64, Marvels #2-4, Marvel Comics Presents #150 - #151, Marvel Tales #285, Spider-Man Unlimited #6, Marvel Super-Heroes Megazine #1- #3, Spider-Man Megazine #1, Spectacular Spider-Man #218 and #219, Guardians of the Galaxy #54, Amazing Spider-Man #396 plus Death of Captain Marvel novel, Punisher Ashcan Edition novel, Marvel Limited: Fantastic Firsts novel and Marvels novel Writing: Dan G Chichester (324-327, 329-332), Gregory Wright (328, 333-335)  Interviews: Chichester: https://www.manwithoutfear.com/daredevil-interviews/Chichester Wright: https://www.manwithoutfear.com/interviews/ddINTERVIEW.shtml?id=Wright Pencils: Scott McDaniel (324-327, 329-332), Sergio Cariello (328), Tom Grindberg (333-335) Inks: Hector Collazo and Michael Avon Oeming (324), Hector Collazo (325-327, 329, 331-332), Ariane Lenshoek-Pinharo (328), Collazo and Rich Rankin (330). Ray Kryssing (333) Don Hudson (334-335)  The year begins with the final 2 installments of the Fall from Grace story arc. In it we see the ACTUAL return of Elektra (in an all white outfit) who fights alongside Matt Murdock to kill the ninjas and the Erynys that has part of her essence inside – which see does and absorbs the essence back into herself. Murdock ends up fighting the Hellspawn and after taking the weird virus to become human, it dies in the final fight with Snakeroot. Murdock uses the body to fake his death and become Jack Batlin. Ben Urich realizes his intern Sara Harrington was the one that hacked his files and shared Murdock's secret identity (hence Murdock faking his death).  Next, we jump right into another multi-book story called Tree of Knowledge. This 6-part story with an extra interlude book (by a different creative team) starts in March with issue 326 and shows Daredevil and Captain America taking on a gang of hackers called System Crash which is being led by Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker of Hydra. Since this is the only full story this year, this will be our spotlight story for the week.  The year ends with the first half of another named storyline Fathoms of Humanity that will end in February 1995. Written by Gregory Wright and Penciled by Tom Grindberg while Chichester and McDaniel work on Elektra: Root of Evil (which was promoted extensively at the end of these books). In this story we see Daredevil follow a homeless man into the sewers where a tribe of people are living including their “King” whom Daredevil rescued Wilson Fisk's wife Vanessa from back in the original Frank Miller days. Daredevil defeats his old foe – which endears him to the rest of the community (and causes the King to seek out an altar to summon some creature to enact revenge). We also see him take on Bushwacker (another old foe with a gun for an arm). During this story we also see Kingpin who's working out of an abandoned subway car as he slowly starts working towards regaining his power and influence.  This Week's Spotlight: Daredevil #326 March 1994 “Tree of Knowledge Part 1” through Daredevil #332 September 1994 “Tree of Knowledge Finale”  Recap Why We Picked This Story Daredevil Rapid Fire Questions The Takeaway A great year if you can get through the junk Questions or comments We'd love to hear from you!  Email us at questions@comicsovertime.com or find us on Twitter @comicsoftime. ------------------ THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING CREATORS AND RESOURCES  Music: Our theme music is by the very talented Lesfm.  You can find more about them and their music at https://pixabay.com/users/lesfm-22579021/.  The Grand Comics Database: Dan uses custom queries against a downloadable copy of the GCD to construct his publisher, title and creator charts.  Comichron: Our source for comic book sales data.  The American Comic Book Chronicles: Published by TwoMorrows, these volumes provide an excellent analysis of American comics through the years.  Because these volumes break down comic history by year and decade they are a great place to get a basic orientation on what is happening across the comic industry at a particular point in time.

Episode 37 - Murdock and Marvel: 1993 Part 2 There are arguments to be made that this was the best year in the history of comics.  There are also a number of ways in which it may have been the worst.  In any case, it was not boring. Welcome to 1993, the year everything that has been building for the last decade or so comes to a head.  This is part 2 of the podcast. that will feature the year in Daredevil, the Spotlight story and the Takeaway for 1993.   The Year in Daredevil  Appearances: Daredevil #312-323, Daredevil Annual #9, Daredevil: Man without Fear #1-5, Fantastic Four #373 and #378, Slapstick #4, What If…? #47, #48 and #55, Ghost Rider #36, Marvel Comics Presents #129 and #136, Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme #55, Thor #464, Punisher War Journal #57 and #58, Web of Spider-Man #106, Alpha Flight #127, Marc Spector: Moon Knight #57, Infinity Crusade #1-6, and Marvel Masterworks #25  Writing: Dan G. Chichester (312-323)  Pencils: Scott McDaniel (312-315, 317-323), Kevin Kobasic (316)  Inks: Bud LaRosa (312-317) LaRosa and Greg Adams (318), Hector Collazo and Harry Candelario (319), Michael Avon Oeming (320), Hector Callazo (321), Collazo and Rich Rankin (322-323)  The year starts with a mysterious fire at a Hell's Kitchen pizzeria in which a young man “Marky” is killed and his girlfriend Lisa Rizzo needs to be rescued. After, she gets arrested and goes to court as an apparent arsonist – so Matt Murdock volunteers to be her lawyer. With Lisa not talking, Daredevil looks into the various patrons the day of the fire to figure out what really happened. In the end we find out Lisa is pregnant with Marky's child and the pizza shop owners set fire to their own store to get the insurance money.  In Daredevil Annual #9, We get 3 different stories. In devouring madness, we see Daredevil break up a museum robbery. On the clock shows a typical day in the life of our fearless hero and Resurrection shows Calypso resurrect a zombie to fight Daredevil.  Next, Daredevil takes on a new incarnation of Mr. Fear… Shock who is Alan Fagan's (the original Fear) daughter. The story, however, turns a bit weird as Shock enlists Taskmaster, the Wildboys and Stiltman to go after Daredevil – with the ending in issue 318 that's played off as silly more than anything. The issue itself has a weird “That's it folks! The last issue of Daredevil Before… Daredevil #319” on the cover. I had no idea what that meant until…  Issue 319 starts the final story arch of the year… Fall from Grace. This year we get a prologue and the first 4 chapters of the story (which appears to go through issue 325 – February 1994). We'll speak in more detail about this story during our spotlight.  In Daredevil: Man without Fear we get a thorough retelling of the Daredevil origin story as well as his relationship with Elektra. This 5-book story was written by Frank Miller and penciled by John Romita Jr (Al Williamson on inks). This story goes into far more detail than what we got originally. We also see how Kingpin came into power as well as introduced to a few new characters (Mickey/Lars). Despite knowing the story well, I really enjoyed this series. It looked amazing.  This Week's Spotlight: #319 August 1993 “Fall From Grace Prologue: Temptation” through Daredevil #323 December 1993 “Fall From Grace Chapter 4: Conflict” Recap Why We Picked This Story Daredevil Rapid Fire Questions The Takeaway Garbage in, Garbage out. On July 24th, Oni Press, in partnership with William M. Gaines Agent, Inc., resurrected EC Comics in spectacularly bloody fashion. Tales from the Abyss #1 contains 4 stories that captures the spirit of classic EC Comics. Then, on August 7th, Cruel Universe #1, a collection of science-fiction stories. I had the good fortune of chatting with Hunter Gorinson, President and Publisher at Oni Press, along with two of the creators of one of the tales from the abyss themselves, Chris Condon and Peter Krause.  My number one takeaway from this interview was both the excitement and reverence all 3 have for EC Comics. It also doesn't hurt that both of these issues are phenomenal and I was blown away by the stories and the storytelling talent on display here. We talk about how this deal developed between the family of William M. Gaines and Oni Press, the staggering influence of EC Comics to this day, and a whole lot more.   Here's what Oni Press had to say about Epitaphs from the Abyss:  From the publisher that drove Tales from the Crypt, Vault of Horror, Haunt of Fear, and many more into the depraved hearts of an unsuspecting world, the immortal EC COMICS returns . . . with its first ALL-NEW series in nearly 70 years! In our first extra-sized, 40-page dose of fear, witness shocking tales of torment and tension in the undying EC tradition-as wrenched from the grave by the vile intentions of acclaimed writers Brian Azzarello (Batman: Damned, 100 Bullets), Chris Condon (That Texas Blood, Night People), J. Holtham (FX's The Handmaid's Tale), and Stephanie Phillips (Harley Quinn, Grim) and realized into bloody reality by "all-slaughter" artists Jorge Fornes (Rorschach, Danger Street), Phil Hester (Family Tree), Peter Krause (Irredeemable), and more! What the Comics Code Authority couldn't kill has only made it stronger . . . EC COMICS LIVES AGAIN IN EPITAPHS FROM THE ABYSS!  Here's what Oni Press had to say about Cruel Universe: Compelled to OBLIVION, driven to ENTROPY, all life in our cosmos can only end in one place: COMPLETE ANNIHILATION! For the first time in 70 years, the limitless fury of EC Comics rages back to life to shred the very fabric of the universe itself-and wrench bizarre tales of time and space into our dimensional plane! Our guides across this double-sized, 40-page introduction to a cosmic maelstrom of strange extraterrestrial entities, malevolent scientists, and terrifying technological catastrophes? Learn to fear the void with the irradiated imaginations of Hugo Award nominee Corinna Bechko (Invisible Republic), rising star Chris Condon (That Texas Blood), Eisner Award nominee Matt Kindt (BRZRKR, Mind MGMT), and Edgar Award winner Ben H. Winters (The Last Policeman) as they collide with the wondrously destructive visions of artists Jonathan Case (Green River Killer), Kano (Immortal Iron Fist), Artyom Topilin (I Hate This Place), and Caitlin Yarsky (Black Hammer: Reborn)! The unpredictable return of EC Comics continues here with the quantum comics event of the millennium! Galaxies will collapse. Space-time will be distorted. And your very will to exist, too, shall be broken . . . Just remember: it's all in the name of SCIENCE! How does a sapphic motorcycle romance sound to you? Let me tell you, it's pretty fantastic. Cryptid Creator Corner veteran and comics writer/illustrator Fellhound returns to the show for the first time since she helped us host the first annual Comic Book Yeti ICE or Indy Comics Excellence Awards show. Today, we are diving into her new five issue mini-series S.I.R. from Boom Studios. S.I.R. or Seismic Ironclash Roulette tells the story of two girls in a very elite private school. Avery Sakai and her girlfriend Nico Xing are separated. Nico is already enrolled at Bridleham Academy and Avery takes a shot at reconciliation by upending her life and joining the academy herself to try and win her back. What Avery doesn't know is that Nico is involved in a type of armored extracurricular, jousting on motorcycles. Will they rekindle those feelings? Who knows but rest assured Fell is going for a happy ending here. We get into some of the inspirations behind the series including Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and why she wanted to drop motorcycle jousting in a prep school among other things. Make sure to pick this book up. From the publisher Ringo Award-nominated indie darling cartoonist Fell Hound (Commander Rao) brings an over the top sports and battle anime-coded series that is not one to miss! Get ready for your new obsession…MOTORCYCLE JOUSTING! Fate brutally separated Avery Sakai from her girlfriend Nico Xing, but acceptance to the Bridleham Academy might be just the thing to bring them back together. But shockingly, Nico's extracurriculars are the last thing Avery expected from her. Now, to win a second chance at love, Avery will need to throw herself into the violent but captivating world of the underground motorcycle jousting fight club known only as SEISMIC IRONCLASH ROULETTE! We have something a little different on today's Cryptid Creator Corner, but I think it's a conversation you are really going to enjoy. I'm chatting with Aaron Waltke, the Co-Executive Producer and Co-Head Writer for Season Two of Star Trek: Prodigy, which is available now on Netflix. I have been a fan of Star Trek for as long as I can remember. Star Trek: The Next Generation started when I was 8 years old and I was hooked. I started watching Star Trek: Prodigy with my 11 year old daughter Charlotte and we both loved it: the characters, the fun of it all, the adventure, so I was delighted to chat with Aaron about Prodigy and being in the writer's room and now co-Head Writer for Season Two. But don't worry if you tune in for comics talk because Aaron wrote one of the stories in this year's How to Lose a Guy Gardner in 10 Days and we discuss how that opportunity came about and how he approached writing Red Tornado.  I hope you give this one a listen and indulge me as I nerd out with a fellow Trekkie and be sure to watch Season One and Season Two of Star Trek: Prodigy now on Netflix.  From Netflix After discovering an abandoned Starfleet ship, a ragtag crew of young adventurers unites to explore the galaxy and evade a ruthless overlord. I'm joined today by Eisner nominated comedian, podcaster, and comics writer Jordan Morris on the show today. Jordan has an hilarious new graphic novel coming out called Youth Group with First Second Books. I grew up in the church so reading this was a bit of a release for me having grown up in the Satanic Panic era in the 80s and early 90s. With an obvious analog to Buffy, demon hunting is often portrayed as dark and brooding or requiring tons and tons of magical weaponry and while there are weapons here, it's less about that and more about the found family we acquire along the way of finding ourselves and solidifying, or not, what we believe in those tough transitional teenage years. It's a lighthearted approach to poking fun at the structures of religion while, in my mind, managing to embrace faith as still a positive and personal thing. I really enjoyed it, after all, who doesn't love to exorcise Smash Mouth. If you are interested in learning more, make sure to visit bit.ly/youthgroupbook or Jordan's website. From the publisher When cynical, gothy Kay lets her mom talk her into joining the youth group at their church, she's prepared for the dorky sing-alongs and the cheesy slogans about dodging temptation. What she isn't prepared for is walking in on the clean-cut youth group leaders, Meg and Cortland, in the middle of a real-deal exorcism. Turns out these wholesome Christian teens are demon-hunting soldiers in a secret war that's heating up fast, and even if Kay wanted to stay on the sidelines, she doesn't have a choice – she's a “Blight,” a human who demons can't possess, and that makes her a target. But Kay's in good hands with her new friends – for them, fighting literal demons is all in a Sunday's work! The wait is over, it's been a long time coming but I have returning guests Eric Grissom and Will Perkins back on the show with me today to talk about the next volume of their middle grade fantasy series Goblin: The Wolf and the Well from Dark Horse Comics. Goblin was my nominee way back when for Exceptional Kids Comic or Graphic Novel on our first annual Comic Book Yeti Ice (Indy Comics Excellence) Awards show and I was wondering how the duo would craft a follow up to what is one of my favorite fantasy comics ever, turns out, smashed it. The second installment finds our young goblin friend Rikt out of the wilds and in school alongside his trusty wolf companion Fishbreath. This is one you don't want to miss no matter how old you are. Get all the latest at realmofgoblin.com. From the publisher What would you sacrifice to protect the one you love? One dark and stormy night, Rikt meets a mysterious fortune teller in the woods. When she foresees his best friend, a wolf named Fish-breath, in mortal danger, he is overcome with a fear of losing her. When an opportunity to protect her presents itself, Rikt trades the freedom of the wild for the protection of Underwood—an orphanage for monster children and a sanctuary for wolves. Was his bargain worth the price? And what fate awaits the children who live there? Uncover the mystery in the thrilling sequel to Goblin.  Our episode sponsors After the Realm Don't miss Eisner and Harvey award winning comics creator Michael Avon Oeming's newest crowdfunding project After The Realm. I'm stoked about today's episode because we're going to talk about the transection of two big storytelling mediums in my life, comics and wrestling. In what seems like a former life, I was a production assistant for WCW and nobody was more colorful and with so much mythology surrounding them as the luchadores. So, it is with great pleasure that I welcome Diego Valenzuela on with me. Diego is the Head of Storyworlds for Masked Republic Comics who has an amazing new project dropping soon called Luchaverse: Catalyst that is being released in partnership with relative newcomer on the block Massive Publishing. This unique project incorporates some of the biggest named luchadores into the fabric of the comic, weaving their legend into something entirely new. Each event issue will be a double oversized 48-page feature with the first issue dropping mid-July and features stories with Rey Mysterio and Tinieblas Jr. I'm really looking forward to where this universe develops and it's a treat to get to hear more about Masked Republic and what they are doing with Luchadores representation and where their comics arm is headed. You can order copies directly from Massive Publishing From the publisher It all starts here with the three-part launch of the epic new shared Luchaverse! The world's most famous luchadores battle in the ring by day, and serve humanity as monster hunters and world protectors by night. In this series, Masked Republic Comics and Massive Publishing bring back the glory and tradition of real-life lucha libre stars in comic books, setting the stage for a new era filled with epic cross-genre action in a shared universe.  The first installment of the Luchaverse series is an action-packed double feature that is a perfect entry point for both long time fans of luchadores and new readers looking for genre bending adventure and universe altering mystery. First, Rey Mysterio, the world's most recognizable luchador discovers his legacy outside of the ring as the next in line to take on a great evil prophesied to return and plunge the world into darkness… Next, as heir to his own legacy as lead luchador monster hunter, Tinieblas Jr. takes on the legions of the damned and all manner of creatures that go bump in the night while trying to prevent ancient forces of the monster realm from conquering the universe! And that Queen soundtrack! I was in love. Now, Mad Cave Studios are introducing Flash Gordon to a new comic book audience with the all-star team of Jeremy Adams and Will Conrad. Issue #1 hits your LCS on July 24th and I just had to sit down with both Jeremy and Will to hear all about it. We talk about the difficult task of making something that will appeal to both old and new fans and what sets Flash Gordon apart from other pulp sci-fi heroes. It's also great to hear Jeremy and Will sing the praises of their fellow collaborators colorist Lee Loughridge and letterer Taylor Esposito. I've been a fan of Jeremy's writing for some time now and was excited to tell him I loved the Scoobynatural episode of Supernatural. Do not miss this episode! "Flash, Flash, I love you. But we only have 14 hours to save the Earth. Flash."   From the publisher Flash awakes on a secret prison planet somewhere in the galaxy. Upon learning that Dale Arden is the subject of an assassination plot, he's forced to break out and make his way across the galaxy to save her. Along the way, he encounters old friends, new threats, and a greater mystery surrounding WHO is pulling the strings of this universe. The first exciting issue in an all-new ongoing series! I think these 2 creators may be the first siblings we've had on the podcast, but more than that, they lived in DELCO for a time! I couldn't be happier to chat with Maria Hoey and Peter Hoey about In Perpetuity, their most recent graphic novel published by Top Shelf Productions. In Perpetuity is a retelling of the Orpheus myth set in a timeless Los Angeles with very strong classic noir vibes. I absolutely loved this (and not just because the main character is named Jim, I swear). This was such a fun chat, I loved learning about their approach to comics and art, and hearing about their influences. After listening, be sure to check out their website and more great comics at Coin-Op Books. In Perpetuity is out now, it's a great twist on this story, and absolutely gorgeous linework and colors.   From the publisher In perpetuity, the Afterlife is just as the ancient Greeks imagined: an endless twilight where time stands still and shades have nowhere to go. For Jim, that means long shifts at a gas station, with only crossword puzzles and cigarettes to break the tedium. One day, two criminal shades from Jim's past show up at the gas station and his existence takes a dangerous turn. They've tracked him down for something he didn't know he had: the ability to cross back into the living world. It's a rare gift, and they intend to exploit it. Just as Jim crosses back into sunny California, he meets Olivia dying on an Echo Park sidewalk… pulling her back from the edge of death and striking a connection that will run deeper than either can imagine. Jim weaves back and forth between the Afterlife and Los Angeles, but the more he tries to distance himself and Olivia from the criminals' plot, the deeper they're pulled in. What follows is a web of deceit and murder that reaches across A.L. and L.A., and ultimately to Hades himself. With a heady blend of film noir and Greek mythology, In Perpetuity reveals both the human capacity for self-deception and the endurance of love. Cryptid Creator Corner from Comic Book Yeti

Building on the success of the new Thundercats series, Dynamite Comics has another brand new number one that I think is sure to be another hit: Cheetara. Writer Soo Lee is here on the Cryptid Creator Corner to tell us all about it. Issue #1 will be at your LCS on Wednesday, July 3rd. This story takes place before the destruction of Thundera and Soo Lee talks about the freedom to create a rich backstory for Cheetara. Soo also discusses working with artist Domenico Carbone and what she's learned as an artist working with different writers and how that has impacted how she writes a script. I also sneak in a few questions about the excellent Carmilla: The First Vampire, written by Amy Chu with art by Soo Lee. It's absolutely incredible and the follow-up Carmilla: The Last Vampire Hunter is out July 10th. This was a fun conversation and I enjoyed getting to know more about artist and writer Soo Lee.   From the publisher As Cheetara becomes more conscious of her hidden powers, she is also increasingly troubled by apocalyptic visions of the future. Goaded on by these haunting dreams, she ramps up her training of the young Lion-O to prepare him for the trials ahead - but pushing the young prince so hard may wind up doing more harm than good! The acclaimed creative team of writer SOO LEE and artist DOMENICO CARBONE continue to unveil the secrets that lie at the heart of Thundera and the saga of the ThunderCats in ThunderCats: Cheetara #3 - commemorated with classic covers from LEE, LESLEY "LEIRIX" LI, REBECA PUEBLA, and EDWIN GALMON! Michael Avon Oeming returns to the podcast and he'a brought Taki Soma with him! Michael and Taki are here to chat about Mad Cave Studios' GALAXY OF MADNESS arriving at your LCS on June 19th.  Written by Magdalene Vissaggio, GALAXY OF MADNESS is a retro-futuristic sci-fi adventure about a "swashbuckling space archeologist". It reads like a love letter to silver age comics for a modern audience. Michael's artwork is stunning, capturing the feel of the silver age but it's Taki's colors that blast this book into another universe. We chat about the development of this project, working with Mad Cave, how they work together and if it differs from working with other collaborators, and so much more!   From the publisher: In the far-flung thrilling future of the 41st Century, and on the other side of the galaxy, a swashbuckling space archaeologist, Vigil Virgo, is on the cusp of learning a universe-shattering secret in this four-color fantasy! But she'll have to dive into the abyss, where no human was ever meant to go, to do it. The question is what happens when she emerges from the other side.when she emerges from the other side. Evan Bevins and Mark Radulich present our Bulletproof Monk Comic/Movie Comparison and Review!Bulletproof Monk is a 2003 American action comedy film directed by Paul Hunter in his feature film directorial debut, and starring Chow Yun-fat, Seann William Scott, and Jaime King. The film is loosely based on the comic book written by Brett Lewis with art by Michael Avon Oeming. The film was shot in Toronto and Hamilton, Canada, and other locations that resemble New York City. It received negative reviews from critics and was a commercial failure, earning $37 million worldwide on the budget of $52 million. The Concept: After saving a Tibetan village from Nazi scientists, the Bulletproof Monk disappeared into legend, leaving behind a story that has been passed down for generations and a hope for his return. Kar, a young man now living in the U.S., searches for his peoples' hero while he evades secret agents and tries to find acceptance and love in a local gang.We have also discussed other direct comic/graphic novel adaptations such as The Kitchen, Ghost World and I Am Not Okay With this!Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsoFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76

Michael Avon Oeming has been killing it the past three decades, first as an artist, then as a writer, and now as a full-on auteur with his new book William of Newbury! Michael expanded to writing with Bastard Samurai, and continued with several projects in Marvel's Thor universe as well as Omega Flight, Red Sonja, and Six. Now, he's at Dark Horse, after having drawn Blue Book in 2023, with William of Newbury, the first issue of which is on out right now! Comics creator and Eisner Winning illustrator Michael Avon Oeming (Blue Book, The Mice Templar, Powers) joins me on the show today to discuss his new Dark Horse Comics project, William of Newbury. I've been a fan of his work for years now and following his process videos on TikTok inspired me to take this interview in that direction. We talk about how he pulled from English history, specifically the Anarchy, and why he adapted the English historian William into a raccoon cause who would see that coming? The anthropomorphic sandbox is always an interesting one and its motivation here might surprise you. William of Newbury drops in late May. Don't miss it.
