You Must Ask These Voice Over Questions To Be SuccessfulThe old saying goes, "If you ask the right questions, you'll be successful." The challenge we run into is ... "What are the right questions?"Check out my Fiverr Course, "How To Make $20K On Fiverr" here: https://www.avosjourney.com/how-to-make-20k-on-fiverr-for-voice-overI talk to you in this podcast about the way we ask those questions and how it is just as important as what we are asking. If you think about voice over or any business venture, there are actions that need to be taken to be successful. If you take those actions, you will generate a desired result. However, most of us never get to that point because we never "ASK" what those actions are ... we only ask, "Why can't we do it" or "Why am I not getting more business", etc. We all have done it. And we should all stop now! I hope you enjoy this podcast and I look forward to your success :)Sincerely,Anthony Learn more about the new marketing course for voice actors: https://www.avosjourney.com/offers/vL5gL8HE/checkoutIf you would like to learn more about getting a professional demo at an affordable price, check out the link here: https://www.avosjourney.com/demo-productionWe have a great community of voice actors that share content and information about becoming a better voice-over artist at - https://www.facebook.com/groups/avosjourney/Check out voice-over courses, groups, and learn more about how to work with me at - https://www.avosjourney.com Social Links:Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/anthony_pica_vo/Twitter - https://twitter.com/AVOsJOURNEYFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/avosjourney/ LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/anthonypicavo/Support the show (https://www.facebook.com/groups/avosjourney/)
If you’ve ever thought about how it might look to work less days in your business, check out the experiment my team and I are in the middle of testing. When I first pitched the shorter work week idea to my leadership team, well… I was met with crickets. The idea of the work week happening only Monday through Thursday felt a bit unattainable. And while I was really excited about the idea myself, I know the team’s concerns were valid and so we agreed to try it for 90 days as an experiment. Right now we’re 60 days in, and have uncovered some really interesting stuff that I wanted to share with you. Since I’m a big believer in going first and showing what’s possible for you, it’s my hope that this episode helps show you what you need to know about the 4-day work week process -- especially if you’ve been thinking about ways to add more time back into your week. You’ll also learn more about: WHY a shorter week was something I wanted to implement and how our team why might spark some ideas for you Processes to set into place when it comes to your team, communication, and what the new work week looks like The different categories to create plans for as you look at your day-to-day systems and expectations The 3 MUST ASK questions you need to answer before making the leap and how they’ll help you determine if this is for you If reading those highlights pulls at your imagination strings and gets you thinking about your own work schedule -- grab your notebook and pen -- because this is definitely a note taking episode. Here’s a glance at this episode... [02:21] Learn some of the reasons why my team and I have decided to test out doing a 4-day work week. [06:36] Read the book Shorter: Work Better, Smarter, and Less Here's How. [11:38] Get clear with your team, if you have one, how you want to organize and go about preparing for the 4day work week. What are concerns that come up and how can you troubleshoot them? [15:05] Sit down and discuss any issues that may come up, and create a guideline document to help guide your team. [19:44] Find out the tools we use to make our 4-day work week efficient and possible. [22:33] Set a date and time to meet with your team to see how the experiment is working and how you can improve or pivot. [36:59] Action Steps: How will this professionally benefit you? How will this personally benefit you? What will it mean if you don't move to a four-day work week? Get clear on these answers, start with step one, and read the book Shorter. When you think about your brand, how referable is it? What makes a referable brand, you might ask? Point blank, it’s a brand that is easy to share with others. WHAT you do and WHO you serve is crystal clear—and it’s all wrapped up in a short sentence. When I changed my business from “selling branding” to “selling 1-3 day brandups,” the referrals flowed to me like water in a way they never did before. That’s not an exaggeration! Today’s guest is an expert in creating referable brands. This is simple but not easy stuff and I’m so grateful to have my old friend from my networking days on the podcast today to share some simple ways that will make a WORLD of difference in your business. Michael Roderick is not only the KING of networking and connecting but he’s also the CEO of Small Pond Enterprises which helps thoughtful givers become thought leaders by making their brands referable, their messaging memorable, and their ideas unforgettable. He is also the host of the podcast Access to Anyone which shows how you can get to know anyone you want in business and in life using time-tested relationship-building principles. And his background is pretty unique—he went from a high school English teacher to a Broadway Producer in under two years until shifting into the entrepreneur he is today. As you’ll hear in today’s episode, if you work on the referability of your brand, that might just be your next step in showing your business who’s boss. Alex had to challenge his team when certain deadlines were not getting hit. How do you structure your systems and processes so that their desired outcome is inevitable? Ask this to your team and see what creative solutions they come up with. Key Takeaways: When you're getting started, it's all about marketing. Last year, Alex had a meeting with his staff about marketing. They had a direct-mail campaign that didn't go out the door on top and it set the team back by a week. Alex asked a question to the team that made everyone take a step back and think on how to best achieve this. The simplest answers are often the best one. How did Alex and his team figure out a solution where their mailings will always go out on time? Because Alex was able to make a commitment with his mailers, he got a discount with his fulfillment center! Where can you delegate and automate things so that your success is inevitable? What are you lacking consistency on right now? MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE: Take Your Life & Business to New Heights with the Flip Empire Experience in the Florida Keys ASCEND:

By Richard Hunt On October 6, a special worldwide prayer event will be held at the site of the Pilgrim’s arrival at Plymouth Rock. Carter Conlon, Pastor at Times Square Church in New York City, believes the landing of the Mayflower and the fragile colony they founded in the face of many dangers – all for the sake of freedom to believe in God, their way - was also the beginning of America, spiritually speaking. But he says we have not honored God in so many ways. He’s calling for targeted prayer asking God to forgive our country for a number of specific things that grieve God, major among them, human slavery, which still has ramifications in what our country faces today. “God gave us freedom and then we took a whole race of people and took away their freedom and made them slaves.”

I'm learning to start my mornings in a new, massively productive way...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Instead of always asking, "what do I need to do today?" first thing, I am now asking myself, "What should I NOT do today?" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀See, effective executives (or, knowledge workers - aka, YOU) should be in a constant pursuit of efficiency. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀However, there are a few never-ending antagonists to your efficiency. They are:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My days are scheduled down to the minute, which doesn’t leave much time for the “drive-by conversation.” That’s not my style anyway. I like purposeful and productive interaction. The quicker and more decisive, the better. So in our organization, we have 5 questions that our leaders ask their team members daily to help keep communication flowing in a fast-paced environment. As the CEO, I ask my leadership team these questions, and they ask their direct reports the same questions, and so on and so forth. What is so powerful about these questions is that they allow me to quickly get insight into what’s happening throughout the organization at all levels on a daily basis. The information flows upward. Additionally, they show me where teams are focused so I can redirect if necessary and make sure that we are all moving together at full force as an organization. These questions also alert me early on if there is an issue that a team needs support with and provide employees with regular feedback and coaching from their leaders. Because we are a growth organization – we want our team growing both in business and personally – and this one of our most effective and efficient tools for pouring into our employees while also providing us with visibility into the entire organization. Wondering what these powerful questions are? I discuss them in detail in today’s episode. Add these into your cadence of accountability with your team and watch your teams’ relationships grow and your team members flourish. [3:00] The point of you asking these questions is so that you have more input and more of a pulse on your organization. [4:05] If you only have a few employees on your team right now, still implement these five daily questions so that you have room to scale. [5:35] People share a bit more when they can write their answers down and have less pressure when it isn’t face-to-face. [7:10] No matter what, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. [8:35] Your job as a leader is to be a visionary and to provide clarity. These five questions will help you see the bigger picture of a problem. [11:05] What should you be looking for when you ask Q1: What success did you or your team have today? [12:50] What should you be looking for when you ask Q2: What struggles did you have today? [13:30] See this information as a vault. If you break it, then it’s incredibly hard to gain that trust back again. So don’t share this information with others. [15:45] What should you be looking for when you ask Q3: How did you overcome them? [17:15] What should you be looking for when you ask Q4: Where is your mindset on a scale to 1–10? [20:55] What should you be looking for when you ask Q5: Who is your replacement? [24:45] These questions are designed so you have a clear perspective on what’s happening inside your organization. [25:25] These only work if you respond to them – here’s why.
