It is a thrill and honor to have John Ferak return to the show with this amazing update! Updated 5th Anniversary Edition Including Exclusive Interview with Steve Avery In 2016-17, while working for the USA TODAY NETWORK's Wisconsin Investigative Team, author John Ferak wrote dozens of articles examining the murder case against Steven Avery, who had already beaten one wrongful conviction only to be charged again with the murder of Teresa Halbach in 2005. This case captured global attention through the Netflix documentary "Making A Murderer." In this anniversary edition of WRECKING CREW: Demolishing the Case Against Steven Avery, Ferak not only lays out in meticulous detail the post-conviction strategy of Kathleen Zellner, the high-profile, high-octane lawyer fighting to free Avery but also includes a new "Five Years Later" section. This update provides fresh insights and developments in Avery's ongoing legal battle. Additionally, this special edition features an exclusive epilogue: a November 2023 interview with Steven Avery. For this book, Zellner, arguably America's most successful wrongful conviction attorney, granted Ferak unprecedented access to the exhaustive pro bono efforts she and her small suburban Chicago law firm have invested in a man she believes to be wrongfully ensnared by Manitowoc County's unscrupulous justice system. This anniversary edition offers new revelations and a comprehensive look at a case that continues to stir public debate and demand justice. "John Ferak is an investigative journalist who is trying to figure out who committed the murder. He takes all of my evidence, expert opinions and theories and really examines them in detail. [Making a Murderer] touched on some of my investigation and expert experiments but not in as much detail as the book. The series explores many collateral matters, while the book zeroes-in on suspects and motives for the murder, which was not a focal point in the series.” —Attorney Kathleen Zellner, interview with Newsweek Magazine "Whatever you thought you believed about this infamous case, get ready to change your mind or be more convinced than ever. … Fascinating." —New York Times bestselling author Steve Jackson "If you're planning to binge-watch Making a Murderer 2 over the holidays, order John Ferak's new book Wrecking Crew, too. Definitive chronicle of criminal justice corruption in Manitowoc County." —Michelle Malkin, host of Michelle Malkin Investigates on CRTV.

Could you fill more programs and help more people by moving from antiaging to anti ageism in fitness promotions? What if the answer to more inclusivity and diversity isn't focused on turning back the clock but it's embracing the now. While it sounds good and I think most of us would agree we do that, is there anyone among us that hasn't used words that hint at aging in reverse, or slow the aging process. While some of this isn't even our fault, we've got it from unlikely sources: researchers. It hasn't even been marketers who stand to make money. Though there's always some money involved. Grant money, potential products, tenure, I suppose all count. I remember reading the first research findings about the ability the potential of exercise on mitochondria production. I distinctly remember the conclusion was, “exercise is indeed the fountain of youth.” Ageism As innocent as that, there it is: ageism. Youth is desirable, the pot of gold, and anything associated with aging to be fixed. This episode touches on ageism in fitness. As I talked with Ashton Applewhite I had to be quiet and listen. It took a minute for what she said to soak in. That for those who aren't active #activeaging for instance may be ageism. I am going to wrestle with acceptance of that. I think science has given us evidence that we can age more healthfully than ever before. I also believe no one wants to be in pain, uncomfortable, or lose independence if they can choose another option. So being active in a way to sustain muscle, bone, (and brain) health is something I'll have to stand for in order to support our ability not to stop aging, but to change the way we age. (and a respectful nod to ICAA, whose tagline is just that.) Should it Be Accepted? I personally have a hard time just accepting that aches and pains come with age. Instead, I have found that the way you eat, work, sleep, and exercise changes much about the way two people age. It's epigenetics, the lifestyle habits that control the expression of your genetics. I bristle a little with statements like, “as you get older, those aches and pains sneak up on you.” It's not due to age. Traditionally accepted signs of aging are do to the lifestyle you had, and that which you have now. From you now to you 20 years ago, there's been change, no doubt. But for those who are more conscious and aware of better ways to exercise, eat for their own biology, and are resting and meeting their needs better than they did, they often feel better, fitter, and more alive than ever. So yes, aging should be accepted. Aches and pains and weight gain shouldn't. We may have to deal with them but if we simply believe we can't do anything about them, if indeed we choose to have a different outcome, I think that isn't quite anti ageism. An Open Invitation I'm opening up a conversation with you. I hope you'll comment, and be open to a quote or interview. Let me know in the comments if this topic resonates with you and if you'd like to respond to a couple questions to be included in a round up episode. My Guest: An internationally recognized expert on ageism, Ashton Applewhite is the author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism. A co-founder of the Old School Anti-Ageism Clearinghouse, she speaks widely at venues that have included the TED mainstage and the United Nations, and is at the forefront of the emerging movement to raise awareness of ageism and to dismantle it. Questions we answer in this rapid fire: What suggestions do you have for fitness professionals making choices about their ad, website, social media images? How can we do better? Are there good examples that come to mind? Businesses doing it well? What do you say to this very common conversation: “I'm getting old.” “It's better than the alternative.” Let's talk about contemporary hashtags #antiaging #nevertooold #foreveryoung #agingbackwards #aginginreverse #flipping50 #activeaging #seniorfitness Reference in this episode: Alex Rotas British photographer: https://alexrotasphotography.co.uk/ Flip: I went to Alex' site to pull this resource for you and came across an article on her including some images. And… I am as guilty as anyone. But at least I'm aware. I said, “She looks great,” as it stated her age(72). My first thought was, this is what following a passion and purpose does. It's going to take time for this not to be a comparison of one (insert age) to another (insert age). At a class reunion coming up, won't we all be doing that to some extent, I wonder. Thinking he or she aged well, or not? Is that ageism? There's much to explore here. The first step… awareness. Today's show rundown: No one is charged with the crime of insurrection, vaccinations that aren't vaccines, hunters laptop was no big deal? The Left is just covering up everything. The cost of food and doing businesses in restaurants oh my goodness. Chucks Wife's restaurant have just gone through the roof. Last month to this month the cost of living has gone up 9 percent. Mark introduces us to our guest Drew Berquist - Mark kicks it to Drew with the Biden Administration being an administration free of ANY controversies or questionable decision (Sarcasm). Drew says these guys are so beyond bad, he needs to come up with new words for how bad they are. If you thought 2008-20016 was bad, if you aren't feeling regret and embarrassment now you have your head in a hole. How is it possible that the Left is not embarrassed at all? Drew talks about all our 3-letter agencies, FBI, CIA etc. He says that the intel departments have been politicized and weaponized by these administrations. Middle management at these places were concerned that Trump was going to blow the lid off how things actually worked. The DC Swamp creatures got their friends to pull off what they did. Drew clarifies that the people who work in the counter terrorism realm are some the most patriotic group of people around. DREW BERQUIST IS A PRODUCER, WRITER AND ON-AIR TALENT. February 21,2021 @ 3pm ——————————- I grew up in the Homalco Reserve in Campbell River, Vancouver Island. My first guests on the Tami Jackson Show* tonight will be Alan Robertson and his dad, Phil Robertson. Phil Robertson and Al Robertson Alan Robertson is the oldest son of The Duck Commander Phil Robertson. He grew up hunting and fishing and helped build the foundation of the family business in the '70s and '80s. Back in the day, he and Phil would travel around Louisiana and Arkansas selling duck calls to stores right out of their truck. The sales pitch back then was the same as it is today: “These calls are the best 'cause they sound just like a duck!” Alan returned to the family business after serving in full-time ministry for more than 25 years. Alan plays a vital role in the family's commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ through their love of hunting and the great outdoors. Al recently started a production company called Restoration Productions with his cousin Zach Dasher, and produce Phil's show, In The Woods with Phil on CRTV. The only Robertson without a beard, he calls himself a “Jacob” in a family of “Esaus.” Al and his wife, Lisa, are parents of two grown daughters who are married to bearded men. Born and raised in Vivian, Louisiana, Phil Robertson came from a large family with 7 children and little money. Because of the location of his family home in a rural setting near Shreveport, and the aforementioned scarcity of money, hunting became an important part of his formative years. As a high-school athlete, Phil earned All-State rankings in football, baseball, and track, which afforded him the opportunity to attend Louisiana Tech University on a football scholarship. There, Phil played first-string quarterback – ahead of Terry Bradshaw, who later went on to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers team to 4 Super Bowl championships. Phil said, "Terry went for the bucks, and I chased after the ducks." After receiving his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and a Master's in Education, Phil spent several years teaching in Louisiana schools. Acclaimed as an excellent teacher by his students, Phil came to the conclusion that his time and talents would be better spent in the woods. Phil and his family, which by this time included his wife, Kay, and four boys – Alan, Jase, Willie, and Jeptha – began a quest to turn his passion for hunting and fishing into a livelihood. Phil has authored two books, Happy, Happy Happy about his life story, and Unphiltered about his philosophy on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and is working on a third. As previously mentioned, Phil has a new internet television on CRTV called "In The Woods With Phil." The show features Phil's wisdom and his practical insights on how our country and culture can improve. Go to CRTV.comducks to subscribe to Phil's show, "In The Woods with Phil." Listen as Al, Phil, and I talk about their books, the culture, what the man who has no cell phone and doesn't use the internet is doing on his own internet television show, and what REALLY is the key to a happy, happy, happy life! ******************* My guest in the second half hour will be Joy Overbeck. Joy Overbeck is a Colorado journalist and author who has written on lifestyle and relationship topics for Redbook, Reader's Digest, TV Guide, Woman's Day, Health, and other national and regional magazines. She's also written two humor books published by Pocket Books, Simon&Schuster. She describes herself as a radical conservative God fan who has delighted for the last several years in annoying libs with columns at Townhall.com, The Washington Times, The Daily Caller, American Thinker, and elsewhere. Other favorite forms of recreation include riding her Rocky Mountain mare, Gypsy, out into the wide open spaces of beautiful Colorado, skiing Vail, and enjoying her friends and her golden tabby, Tigger. Joy and I will be covering her recent column, "How the #WalkAway Campaign is Drowning the Blue Wave Democrats" As Joy writes in the article: The #WalkAway campaign is now over 100,000 strong in just a few weeks. These are former liberals who have discovered, as its founder Brandon Straka says in his video (below), “the Democratic Party's greatest and most insidious lie:” That without them, you are nothing. As Straka puts it, “They will insist that you are a victim doomed to exist within a system that is rigged against you…that you are a victim of systematic oppression…that you are a victim of your circumstances, and no amount of hard work or motivational action will ever allow you to overcome your victimhood or the privilege of those around you.” Joy's article has garnered over 13K shares on Facebook for good reason: people are amazed to hear the stories of liberals who have seen the light and fled from the rabid intolerance and vitriol of The Left! Don't miss a minute as Joy and I discuss this #WalkAway movement that's sweeping the country! Rick speaks about the economy and wage growth with author and CRTV host Eric Bolling, about President Trump's economic accomplishments so far.
Josh is joined this week by Gavin McInnes of CRTV's “Get off My Lawn.” We start with hard hitting topics like pissing in front of and farting in front of your significant others. We pontificate the possibilities of a gay #metoo movement - spoiler alert: It's not coming. We decide that if you believe the earth is flat, you're not allowed to have opinions. We dive in to James Gunn and Dan Harmon, and whether or not liberal mouthpieces deserve to have their free speech defended by other artists. Does principal matter in the culture war, or are all bets off? When did comedians become hypocrites? What TRULY influences the decision to take offense? In this two hour episode, we dive into how the culture war is effecting comedy and art, and how to win it going forward. Can it even be won?
James takes your calls on the pathetic state of mind that allows a grown unmarried father Michael Rotondo to want to stay at his parents' house — while saying he doesn't want to. (BTW: He's gotta be out by June 1, but he can't afford boxes. A pizza chain offered him a job at any of their 250 locations, with $1101 signing bonus. Might be a bad idea b/c he'd sued Best Buy for gender discrimination.) Millennials are reportedly 34% poorer than expected. (Jesse's encouraged a lot of people to move out on their own.) Pro-same-sex-marriage Ireland goes also pro-abortion. British conservative activist Tommy Robinson was arrested, reportedly for speaking out against Muslim rapists! So-called "hate speech" is outlawed in the UK, which means you can't tell the truth about Muslims, radical homosexuals, or other fake victim groups whose members may feel offended or riot. James thinks the Alt-Right, MGTOW, Men's Rights Movement, Conservatives, and Christians have all become victim groups, maybe partly because they're sick of fake left-wing "victims," and they see themselves as the real victims. Same with people who blame their parents for the way they turned out — you don't want to be a victim, but you have to be honest too; otherwise you're just in denial. BTW: Jesse appeared in an interview with Gavin McInnes (Get Off My Lawn on CRTV) talking about "lazy" blacks, which was shocking to Gavin, but Jesse was dead serious. ALSO BTW: Tuesday, May 29 at Starbucks, the stores are supposed to be closed to give employees "racial sensitivity training," Colin Flaherty reminds us. FINALLY, tomorrow's Memorial Day (Monday). Kinda sad that most of us younger people haven't been in the military so can't relate to parents, grandparents, etc., who were. But who wanted to serve under W. Bush (looking back) or much less Obama (given horrible rules of engagement)? Under Trump, yes. Call-in: 888-775-3773. Live Sunday 9am PT (11CT/12ET). http://thehakereport.com LINKS on Michael Rotondo: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5769937/Michael-Rotondo-new-excuse-staying-parents-home-judge-orders-June-1.html http://abc7ny.com/family/judge-orders-man-30-to-move-out-of-parents-home/3511133/?utm_source=hl-publisher-abc

My first guest tonight on The Tami Jackson Show* is Debra Atkinson. Debra has been speaking on fitness and life-enhancing topics for more than 30 years. She's a member of the National Speakers Association and has spoken to hundreds of audiences of all types and sizes including church groups, women's groups, bankers, professional fitness associations, sheriffs associations (hold the fire!), insurance groups, Health Care Associations, and Golf Pros. Personal responsibility for physical activity and nutrition is the common theme in her message, whether that message is for greater productivity at work, decreasing stress levels or improving life satisfaction. She's a Barely Boomer and speaks frequently on Active Aging. Debra is a Certified CoachU Graduate and coaches clients in the areas of wellness, personal relationships, academic choices, career moves, and growing their personal training business; ultimately creating the changes they want to create the life that they want. Listen in as Debra and I discuss the part hormones play in aging and fitness...this will be an interesting discussion. After all, don't we all want a better quality of life, and a big part of that is staying fit? ********************** In the second 1/2 hour I will be joined by Graham Allen. Graham is a rising star, as a prominent young conservative and 11 year Army veteran with two combat deployments who is speaking out on issues that are important to him namely, protecting the Second Amendment, conservative voices being censored on social media, and securing our religious freedoms. In addition to being featured on Fox & Friends discussing NFL protests, Graham has gained a huge social media following as “The Daily Rants Guys” where he discusses pop culture and news of the day. His YouTube channel has hit over 32,000 subscribers and his Twitter has surpassed 10,000 followers. At the end of the month, Graham is taking his unique brand of conservative commentary to join the ranks of Mark Levin, Dan Bongino, Michelle Malkin, and others at CRTV to further his message that conservatives need a greater voice in our national dialogue. His new show "Rant Nation," debuting March 27 on CRTV, aims to be the voice for conservatives who can't make their voices heard because of their jobs, communities, or because they feel like their values are no longer accepted in an increasing politically correct America. This show will strive to advance conservative values across the generational divide, offering a unique brand to the next generation of conservative leaders while appealing to our nation's conservative heroes who have safeguarded our nation. After 11 years of fighting for American citizens' freedom to speak their mind, he's going to use that freedom himself. Listen in as Graham and I talk politics, America, the Second Amendment and more: it doesn't get any better than a great conversation about what's what with a warrior like Graham! Mark Steyn, International Bestselling Author & Conservative Commentator @ SteynOnline.com, Author of “The [Un]Documented Mark Steyn” and Launching Mark Steyn Show on CRTV
An independent public watchdog says city staff who contributed to and distributed information in the midst of a key Scarborough subway debate may have violated the city's public service bylaw. A Star analysis earlier found that a briefing note produced by the TTC was used by the mayor and allied councillors to kill any return of a light-rail plan in Scarborough and that staff discredited the LRT while advancing a one-stop subway now estimated to cost more than $3.2 billion. The co-founder of Democracy Watch Duff Conacher joins the show. An Ontario nurse who once wrote a poem describing the “sharp thirst” of a serial killer has been charged with murdering eight elderly patients in her care. A gaping, infected bedsore that led to an Etobicoke man's death is just one example of systemic failures of care and negligence at a large Ontario nursing home chain, a lawsuit alleges. Jordanne Holland, the President of Concerned Friends of Ontario Citizens in Care Facilities joins the show. The Mississauga Chiefs were among five hockey teams in Mississauga cited in a complaint to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario over team names and logos deemed “racially insensitive.” Brad Gallant, of Qalipu Mi'kmaq ancestry, filed the complaint, which asks the city of Mississauga to end its “subsidy” to five hockey teams using indigenous names or logos, and for the city to remove their mascots and banners from municipal property. International Bestselling author Mark Steyn joins the show to talk all things Trump/Clinton, University of Toronto's Jordan Peterson and his fight for freedom of speech, and the launch of his new show on CRTV.
