The life of Michael Parenti is truly extraordinary, as he witnessed two significant cultural movements that changed the word. Growing up in Malibu, he went to school with the likes of Sean Penn and Charlie Sheen, met a young Madonna before she was an international star, hung out in Bob Dylan's house, and saw live acts like Nirvana and Red Hot Chilli Peppers long before MTV made them famous. As an internet entrepreneur, he became involved with the Bitcoin Foundation and also saw the early days of Ethereum. He attended hundreds of events, spoke with some of the people who are completely unapproachable today, and found himself in the middle of something magical, naive, and revolutionary. In this episode, we talk about the backstage politics that Michael Parenti witnessed and what it was like to believe in the cyhpherpunk dream more than a decade ago. 21 Reasons for Trusting In God Laura BuckleyDo you or someone you know doubt or question if God is real? I know that sounds like a blasphemous question for a Christian podcast – but it is one that is being asked in society today.I hear questions all of the time that try to plant the seed of doubt into the minds of some people about the existence of God…Things like, “Why would a loving God allow so much evil in the world?”“Why would God allow all of this devastation or sickness or wars (put whatever thought you may have or have heard in there as well)?Sometimes, we just need to sit down and contemplate these things. Not do “doubt if God exists.” No… but to contemplate the importance of relying ON GOD in times like this. Our guest today decided to explore the profound aspects of Faith and Spirituality in light of sharing the Gospel message of hope, trust and unwavering belief in a loving God…and how to provide answers to those who may be questioning these beliefs.Laura Buckley is a devoted Christian author who is committed to exploring the profound aspects of faith and spirituality. She has dedicated her literary journey to sharing the Christian message with readers around the world. To help accomplish this goal, she has published a wonderful book titled, “21 Reasons for Trusting in God.” This book offers the spiritual guidance and tangible proof to help reinforce the reader's confidence in God's presence and God's Love.Help me welcome to the program, Laura Buckley!Laura, thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to visit with us today. I do appreciate joining us.First question I always start with is this… other than that brief information I just shared, can you share with us in your own words, “Who is Laura Buckley?”Is this book, “21 Reasons for Trusting in God,” your first book? Or have you authored other books?Do you see people saying they “Believe in God” but yet, they kind of hold back or reserve doubt because they are not “really sure” one way or the other?I believe another element that adds to the confusion is all of the different faiths and belief systems that are out there today. How did that play into your research and final product of this great book?Personally, I believe it takes greater faith to NOT BELIEVE IN GOD than to be a believer… For example, despite man's greatest technological ability – we have never heard of a scientist creating a new, fully functional biological organism – even a single cell amoeba! Let alone a complicated, fully sustained, replicating biological system even like a slug or a worm, let alone a human.I guess the question there is, did you dive into any of the scientific explanations for the existence of God?You have a chapter in the book titled “Objections and Difficult Questions.” Share with us a couple of the major objections you encountered as to why people do not believe in God and how your responded in your book? Some people may say, “Faith is just wishing…” or “Faith is simply a crutch for weak people.” How does your book overcome those stereotypical ideas? Some people try to equate God with religion. With so many different faiths in the world, how does your book reconcile

This episode provides valuable insights on how to effectively answer difficult questions, particularly in a court setting. Michael emphasises the importance of being in a balanced state of mind, actively listening to questions, and taking the time to formulate thoughtful responses. Practical tips such as acknowledging errors, providing context for actions, and being honest when unsure are also discussed. Overall, the episode offers a comprehensive guide on handling difficult questions with composure and clarity, making it a valuable resource for anyone facing challenging questioning situations. KEY TAKEAWAYS Practice being in a calm emotional state to maintain serenity and not let external actions affect you. Listen carefully to the entire question before answering, to ensure a proper response. Take your time when answering questions, think about your response, and speak only what you intend to say. Preparation and practice in answering questions from different angles are crucial for success. When faced with a question you don't know the answer to, it's better to admit it honestly rather than attempting to provide a false answer. BEST MOMENTS "Listening is a key skill in so many areas of your life. When your capacity to listen is impaired, of course you do not hear properly, or you mishear, misread or misinterpret whatever is being asked of you." "Questions are difficult when they come from an angle you had not expected or highlight an area which is totally new to you or unfamiliar to you." "It is better to take your time and answer the question properly than fail to answer it by answering it poorly and placing yourself in problems because you rushed in due to worrying about taking too long to respond." "A tip in answering questions is to be like water. In other words, go with the flow. Unless you have a good or strong reason to challenge or deny any assertion, then make sure, if you do deny or disagree with what's being said, that you can back up your argument with supporting evidence." "Never lie when answering questions. I hope you really enjoyed this episode and got a great deal out of it. Thank you very much for listening." 5 Questions About Pride Month . . . 5 truly difficult questions. This is such a hard thing for many of us. We deeply and dearly love our friends and family who are same-sex attracted, just as we love our friends and family who may have committed adultery or who wrestle with other sin problems. Love requires kindness and kindness requires honesty. Today, I ask 5 questions about Pride Month (decade, century). It's not meant to hurt, it's meant to reveal. - Is there anything shameful happening in Pride events? Sex in public? S&M? Sex in front of children? Public masturbation and urination? Men dressed as dogs being led around on leashes by leather men? If you find these acts shameful, how do you defend drawing the line there? - Why is it possible for people to--quote--”discover” they are same-sex attracted and we are to celebrate that, but when people “discover” they don't want to embrace their same-sex attraction and want to, instead, embrace heterosexuality that is the result of evil pressures? - Why is it a good idea for a hetero-normantive species dependent upon hetero-nomrantive procreation to encourage homesexual attachments?-Why are male-on-male sex acts common to same-sex-attracted men so often physically harmful and prone to spread disease?- What other sins must Christians affirm and celebrate in order to be good people? BONUS QUESTION: In what way are same-sex attracted / gender-confused or gender-rebellious people marginalized? What does God's Word say? https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis%209&version=NIVhttps://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%2012%3A2&version=NIV“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” Episode 891 Links:- https://twitter.com/robbystarbuck/status/1667760341357297665- https://www.informationliberation.com/?id=63795- https://twitter.com/greg_price11/status/1666882497714454537- https://twitter.com/MrAndyNgo/status/1667218336969572363- https://twitter.com/1776ProjectPac/status/1666818150170755081- Andy Ngo: https://twitter.com/MrAndyNgo/status/1666821120463613952. https://archive.is/gPLve, https://archive.is/nXNLv, https://archive.is/y3oXl, https://archive.is/8Lq0W, https://archive.is/q58lr- UPDATE: https://thepostmillennial.com/revealed-childless-antifa-member-arrested-following-violent-clash-with-parents-outside-los-angeles-school-board-meeting?utm_campaign=64470.- https://www.revolver.news/2023/06/actress-ellen-page-repeatedly-punched-herself-in-the-face-and-heard-voices-telling-her-to-become-transgender/- https://thepostmillennial.com/korean-christian-spa-in-seattle-forced-to-allow-males-to-bathe-nude-with-women"- https://twitter.com/greg_price11/status/1666878396893102088-
