Have you ever wondered why some people can come up with creative ideas, decode enigmatic riddles, or solve math problems faster than other students? How come some folks can paint like Picaso or draw mechanical inventions like Davinci, while other people have difficulty drawing stick figures? It is something that leaves you wondering why the universe doesn't heed to all-inclusive greatness. Yet, is it true that this is indeed so? Well, brace yourself; For what I'm about to share with you tonight may come as a shock to you! Much of these talents are indeed universal, but there's a catch to how magicians and psionics can tap into these seemingly unequally distributed abilities! Learn more about psionics at vrilock.com! Throughout his 92 years of life, Pablo Ruiz Picasso helped shape the progression of modern art through the 20th century, perhaps more than any other artist. He was a master painter but also experimented with sculpture, ceramics, collage, and etchings. His innovative work and startling mix of styles have had an unparalleled impact on modern and contemporary art.

This post is part of a Youtube/Podcast/Click-able Blog Series called “After The Exit” — the show where I interview CEO's after they've sold their startup and have them share the lessons they learned in blood about business, relationships, and life. Look — you can learn a couple tips from how they built it, but the real wisdom — the moral of the story — comes at the end — after the exit. Today I'm really excited to introduce you to Austin Allison, former founder and CEO of dotloop. Austin started selling real estate at the age of 18, and worked in residential and commercial real estate for a decade. In 2008, in his hometown of Cincinnati, he founded dotloop- a company that created software to seamlessly manage real estate transactions. Zillow acquired dotloop in 2015, and Austin continued to run dotloop as a Zillow executive until 2018. He is now cofounder and CEO of Picaso, which enables people to buy a second home through shared ownership. He lives in Napa, California with his wife Angela and dog Paris and enjoys spending time in his second home in Lake Tahoe, California. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/aftertheexit/message

Question: How are you a salesman? Mark Landis There is a Documentary about him on Netflix, it’s called “Art & Craft” — he’s one of the most successful art forgers. It’s quite amazing he would recreate Picaso’s, among other things magic markers and canvases bought at walmart. He convinced over 45 museums to hang his paintings on their walls. You or I could not tell the difference between an authentic Picasso and one from Landis. So what makes Picasso’s work with millions and Landis’s a scam? The story! “You might think that the pleasure you get from a painting depends on it’s color and it’s shape and it’s pattern. And if that’s right, it shouldn’t matter whether it’s an original or a forgery. — but our brains don’t work that way —When shown an object or given a plate of food, or shown a face, people’s assessment of it — how much they like it, how valuable it is — is deeply affected by what you tell them about it.” — Paul bloom, Psychology Professor So this is where I say that every successful artist and creator is a salesman. Are you placing your work on in your portfolio unaccompanied by context or explanation? A smart creative displays case studies, not portfolio projects. If you think your art speaks for itself. You are wrong.
