Matheau Dupe Hall wants to set the example early on. “They say ‘I know Dupe, he does XYZ in my community. Leaders, we need to practice and play our position. In 2020, the definition of a “Leader” has changed so much. Everyone seems to call themselves a leader these days. How many times have you heard someone say “I'm not a leader”? Yet somehow people who consider themselves not a leader are leading entire teams! They are managing budgets and have reports on the org chart that report to them! I feel like the term leader needs to be defined again! Leaders don't sit around and wait for things to happen. Leaders make things happen.
What is YOUR mission??? Get clear on why you're here and be profitable in your intention. God did not design you to do anything and everything boo. What is authentic to you??? May your aptitude elevate your altitude...

Should you stay in your lane when you are good at something or is there any harm in branching out? J Cole stirred up a lot of controversy unexpectedly by joining Rwanda's basketball league. Whilst it brought a lot of eyes detractor believed the star had not earned his right to be there and was taking someone else's position. Could he have played in the team if he were just a regular person on skill alone? The verdict is not clear, but it raises an interesting discussion point. The benched player has a right to be annoyed but ultimately their performances have left them in a benchable position and as life is not fair you have to do all you can to fight against the odds. Chelsea did the unexpected and beat those very odds by winning the Champions league ahead of Man City. Life is a game of fine margins and sometimes little factors play a big role when it comes to crunch time. The more you prepare will increase your chances of victory but crucially it doesn't guarantee success as there are some things you cannot plan for. Working hard does generally reap rewards in one way or another but sometimes we can overwork in pursuit of something. Our generation is generally considered lazier but where does the balance lie? Do incentives and perks help or harm us? These things depend on the person and everyone is different but often blanket rules are given for fairness. Contracts are contracts but what happens when mental health is impacted? Is the first port of action to punish? Unfortunately, as seen with Naomi Osaka this approach was taken over her refusal to speak to the media. It has opened up discussions that will surely have long lasting effects on the sport, workplace and education. School days have been extended to help students catch up but is this simply putting a plaster over a gaping wound? It doesn't give the government the best attention, but it can be argued all attention is good attention whether negative or positive. Find out about all these topics and more in a chilled edition of TheNineToFivers Pod

Once again, the USA finds itself in the midst of racial tensions due to the death of an unarmed black American at the hands of a white police officer. There are many voices demanding justice and desiring everyone to speak up and do something. However, what should be done? After meditating on this question, the Holy Spirit whispered to me, "Play your position." Listen to today's Daily Word to explore this Word from God. In this episode we discuss learning how to know your role. It's important for everyone to play their position, it's important for everyone to execute the task that they're good at to their full capabilities. If we try to do things that we aren't good at we leave things lacking and room for failure. So it's important for us to always remember to outsource when necessary, give up control when necessary, and let the people who are good at certain tasks do what they're good at. The other thing that we have to focus on and ensure that we leave room for is not trying to do everything ourselves or trying to hog all the glory or hog all the shine there's power in numbers. Instead of trying to be the chief or the boss why not try linking with someone else and joining forces. Stay humble. LoH CHALLENGE/CALL TO ACTION: Think about places where you need to humble yourself and know that there could quite possibly be someone who can do it better. Consider outsourcing or assigning those duties to others who may be better at them. In this episode, Rev. Jackson encourages us to play our position in whatever season God has us in. Even when we feel as if it's our time to be elevated, there's a blessing in being obedient where God has you until He tells you it's time to move. Key thought: Many of us are out of position because we either moved or stayed put based on human emotion and not divine direction!

Notes on the World Cup 2018 Did you watch the World Cup finale yesterday? I will first begin by saying I am not an active soccer fan per se but if you've been listening to the Play Your Position podcast for a while, you know I am a bonafide sports fan. I love a good match. Could be tennis could be soccer could be croquet -- I love to watch people engage in sport because it's one of the things that makes us fundamentally human. It's a celebration of life. Science has shown that animals outside of human beings do engage in play any games. But our human brains have allowed us to create these magnificent games like football like Baseball and basketball and poker and what we Americans call soccer. I didn't have a horse in the race for the 2018 world Cup but when I was watching matches leading up to the final I was intrigued by the name MBappe. He is my sons age. 19. He is the next Pele. I was also drawn to the rooster icon that the French team has on its uniforms. I can't help it team I'm a big fan of branding and that rooster is just super cool. Now the checkerboard pattern of the Croatian team is also striking but side-by-side I'm going to pick the dark blue with the rooster and white font uniform over the red and white checkerboard any day of the week and twice on Sunday. It honestly has nothing to do with the country of origin. It simply has to do with the design aesthetics. Back to MBappe for a minute. We love a superstar, though, don't we? There's just something about greatness that we cannot turn away from. To see a new and up-and-coming star in any sport in any field is thrilling. It was a good match. Back-and-forth good offense good defense. The fans were really into it. Congratulations to France. The players the staff the fans. Congratulations to Croatia, too. The players the staff the fans. It is no small feat to make it to the pen ultimate game of your chosen sport. Whether it's the World Cup the World Series the NBA final the Super Bowl what a game. What an incredible experience to witness. What an incredible gift to be alive. Subscribe to the Find Your Football Newsletter Twitter LinkedIn Instagram Facebook PYP Leadership Academy

We can be doing all the right things but if we are not positioned correctly we won't see the results that we desire. Everything in the universe is positioned just right : the sun, the moon, the stars, are all in perfect position. The earth is positioned right, every single thing has it position but for some reason we never look at our own lives and say am I in the right position. My intent is right but am I in the position God wants me in???
