Today, our Senior Pastor, Pastor Femi Paul, brought us God's Word in a message he entitled "To Get the Best Out of Life, Be Led!" Drawing from Isaiah 45:3-4a (NCV): "I will give you the wealth that is stored away and the hidden riches so you will know I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by name. I do these things for my servants, the people of Jacob, and for my chosen people!" Pastor Femi stressed that God's guidance is key to unlocking treasures, wealth, and fulfilling His divine purpose. He further referenced Isaiah 45:2-3 (MSG): "I'll go ahead of you, clearing and paving the road. I'll break down bronze city gates, smash padlocks, kick down barred entrances. I will lead you to buried treasures, secret caches of valuables—confirmations that it is, in fact, I, God, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name!" Pastor Femi reminded the congregation: "Life deals with those who will not learn to be led, but those who learn to be led will be richly and super-abundantly blessed!" #BeLedByGod #TreasuresUnlocked #GloriousDestiny #GodsGuidance #LifeOfAbundance

Jesus Tells Us We Need to Be Led. Understand What Surrendering We Must Be Willing to Do, For the Love of Jesus When you were younger, you dressed yourself and went where you wanted to go. When you are older . . . someone else will dress you and lead you to where you do not want to go. These words Jesus speaks to Peter is a foretelling of Peter's martyrdom. But they are also words to what waits for many of us at the end of our life. As we grow older, we are less capable of doing things we easily did when we were younger. For those that provide care to elderly parents, we experience a role reversal. We dress the ones that used to dress us when we were young. Hear more as to what this means for us within the Homily. It's good to pause and contemplate this for a moment. The Lord, with these words, is not talking about aging. He is talking about a certain degree of surrender that everyone sooner or later needs to make! In the Gospel, Jesus looks at Peter. Peter is strong and dedicated, but there is something missing. There is an element of discipleship that does not focus on what we can do, but recognize things we cannot do. One cannot do everything. In fact, there is very little one can do unless the person is led. Jesus does indeed talk about aging. Not as a diminishment, but a surrender of the heart. Why? Because love involves surrender. Listen to this Meditation Media on Surrendering. Hear what Jesus does with Peter just before the Ascension. Listen to: Jesus Tells Us We Need to Be Led. On this episode, we get to meet Lindsey T. H. Jackson who grew up in Pittsburg Pennsylvania, as she describes, a little black girl who thought she was different. Later she realized she was by no means alone as she discovered that there were many black women who grew up like her. She talks about how she went so far as to decide to compete with boys and play baseball, not the traditional softball that girls were encouraged to play. Needless, she succeeded as she will tell us.   As Lindsey tells us, later in life she realized that she did not have to live her life by proving something to others on the job or in anything she had to do. Instead, she realized all she needed to do was to be herself. Lindsey and I discuss prejudices and perceptions whether they be about race issues or even issues surrounding blindness and how people view someone who happens not to be able to see. Our discussions are fascinating and, I think, what we discuss will be helpful and informative to you.     About the Guest: Lindsey T. H. Jackson is a creative force in motion. Each year, organizations call on her to welcome tens of thousands of leaders into the shared journey of Unlearning our cultural biases. Lindsey's natural storytelling and her cheeky humor invite people into their authentic selves, allowing people to enter those charged conversations with genuine curiosity. Lindsey brings more than 20 years of experience clearing the path to wellness & liberation alongside leaders, teams, and organizations with her ongoing research on the root causes of our current culture of pressure and burnout. Now, she serves in the role of Founder & CEO creating the future of work with the team at LTHJ Global — expanding access to leading-edge Diversity, Equity & Inclusion methods for healing and innovation at work and beyond.   Lindsey's audiences have been known to follow her wherever she's speaking, magnetized by her down-to-earth approach to helping leaders reach their highest human potential across their various life roles. Her natural storytelling, artistry and research-backed practices have allowed for some of the most cutting-edge methodologies to liberate ourselves, our workplaces, and our world from structures of oppression — and lead future-ready teams along the way. That's why she's regularly sought after by platforms like King5 News, The Superwoman Summit and Washington's LGBTQIA+ Chamber of Commerce (the GSBA) as well as hundreds of other businesses, nonprofits, podcasts and outlets each year.   These days she's hard (but not _too _hard!) at work with the LTHJ Global team, pioneering the brand new tech-enabled platform, Sojourn. Sojourn brings small to midsize organization leaders a DEI Journey with the plans, tools and guidance to sustainably grow a more Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive culture. They're building the platform as an anti-racist, anti-oppression organization, which impacts every choice they make as they build the future of work they wish to live in.   Ways to connect with Lindsey:   Main website - www.lthjglobal.com New platform, Sojourn website - www.sojourndei.com LinkedIn - LTHJ Global page: https://www.linkedin.com/company/lthj-global/ LinkedIn - Lindsey's profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindsey-t-h-jackson/ Instagram - LTHJ Global: https://www.instagram.com/lthj_global/ Instagram - Lindsey: https://www.instagram.com/lindseythjackson/         About the Host: Michael Hingson is a New York Times best-selling author, international lecturer, and Chief Vision Officer for accessiBe. And I'm really interested in and excited to learn something about that. So we'll get to it. But Lindsey, welcome to unstoppable mindset and glad you're here with us.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  02:17 Thank you, Michael. It is my pleasure. What a wonderful way to begin easing into the weekend spending some time with you. So   Michael Hingson  02:26 Oh, listen to her. Well, let's start. Like I usually like to do tell me a little bit about kind of your early life kind of where, where you came from, and all that and a little bit about how you got where you are.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  02:41 Wow. Well, I am from the hidden gem of the United States, which is, of course, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And I think it's funny when I meet people who have never been to Pittsburgh, and they hear Pittsburgh, they kind of scoff at it. Like, oh, you know, that kind of steel, new town will the Steelers and the pirates and blah, blah, blah. But it was actually a really wonderful place to   Michael Hingson  03:10 Yes, yes. I remember the first time I went to through Pittsburgh airport, which was pretty new at the time, it was a pretty big place and an interesting and a lot bigger of an airport. And I didn't think it would be a little airport, but it was a lot bigger and more bustling than I thought. And I think over time, it's kind of quieted down. But I've enjoyed time in Pittsburgh.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  03:33 Absolutely. And it's so interesting. You say that about the airport, because they're about to build a brand new one tear down. What was that new one and build a brand new one. And I'm like, why are you why are you really changing these things? They're renaming the stadium again. She's, yeah, I don't know. I loved growing up in Pittsburgh, and I just find myself not wanting anything to change about it.   Michael Hingson  03:58 What do you do so, so you're from Pittsburgh will tell us more about all that. And early life and such?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  04:04 Yeah. Early life, I was an only child. So that meant naturally that every holiday season I asked for a brother and sister and a puppy on my Santa's list and never got either of them. So it wasn't a miserable childhood, but I certainly never got what I wanted at Christmas time.   Michael Hingson  04:24 Not a puppy either.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  04:26 Not a puppy, not a brother, not a sister, not a Plano. I was like, why can't we adopt? Come on, people helped me out but as an only child, I was just always out. I was out and about I was down the street. I was creating clubs. I was joining everything that I could join and really living. You know what, at that time, I know we can't say this now but at that time, it was kind of Bill Cosby upbringing, but you know Like Bill Cosby, we grow up and we learn new things that we didn't know. And our kind of youthful naivety. But   Michael Hingson  05:08 well, we can't change our history, Bill Cosby, back in those days was what he was and television show and his comedy routines and so on. And yeah, we have what he became, but we can't deny what was and he did bring a lot of entertainment and humor to people.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  05:25 Yes. And that image, Michael Wright of that black family that was together, that was upper middle class that was figuring life out. That was very much my childhood experience with my parents, Deborah and Jeff had been married something like 44 years now. We were figuring it out together.   Michael Hingson  05:49 Wow. So, so you, you went to school in Pittsburgh,   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  05:55 I started, you know, I was very much a little private school kid. And often the one of very few little black people in predominantly white bodied spaces, which I think colored a lot of my experience as a child. Now, when I read things, I am finally hearing from other little black girls who grew up to be strong black women about that common experience of nobody had hair like us. Nobody had that experience of k this person. That's my cousin. Oh, is it your real cousin? What is that question? Of course, it's my cousin, even though I'm not actually sure how we're related, you know, these very common black experiences, I thought I was different. But now, I'm realizing that that was actually a very common experience for a lot of black girls in predominantly white spaces, that feeling of being outside somehow looking in.   Michael Hingson  07:00 Do you think I think it was true for boys as well?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  07:04 I think it was, but in my experience, something about masculinity allowed them to fit in a little bit more. I think we still, at that time, and even now, we still struggle with outspoken, Intel intelligent little black girls, you know, a trope or a paradigm, at least when I was growing up to fit that. And so I spent a lot of time in detention being told, you know, stop asking questions, stop questioning what the teacher was saying, even though, you know, at that time, I was already a bit of a scientist. I was like, I don't believe what you're telling me show me some research to backup that opinion. And they would go go to detention. I was like, wow, that's not a good argument. Yes.   Michael Hingson  08:01 I think it's, it's somewhat true for white girls, too. But I understand not the same. And it's not it's not as much and it's, it's an evolutionary process. But I think for any of us who were different, I never got sent to detention for asking questions. I think I was tolerated. But as a blind child, it was still very much, in some ways, a challenge. I grew up in a pretty rural area in Palmdale, California. So didn't face a lot of I think some of the things that other people did. But I was always still a curiosity. Nevertheless.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  08:39 Yeah. How did that shape who you've become now, as an adult,   Michael Hingson  08:45 I think for me, because mostly, people didn't know what to do with me, because I was the only blanket for quite a while in the Antelope Valley. We moved from Chicago when I was five. So we were mostly out in California, and I was the only blind kid. And the only blind kid going to school later, while other other kids the only one really interested in science and those kinds of things, and very academically oriented. So again, teachers didn't know a lot of what to do with me. So somehow, I sort of fit it in, like teachers to give me tests, we would stay an extra period after class and they would come in and read me tests or asked me questions, and I would answer them and so I got to know some of the teachers pretty well. And I think that the result of that was that I was accepted because they discovered that I wasn't really, maybe what their original misconceptions were about a blanket and high school students didn't do a lot of bullying but again, I think I was was tolerated. Of course, I had an extra asset in that when I went into high school I got my first guide dog so the only kid in School who got to bring his dog to school. But even that caused a problem when the superintendent decided that since the school district had a rule that said, no live animals a lot on the school bus that I wouldn't be allowed to take my dog on the school bus and go to school with the dog. So they had to hire somebody to take me to school because I was using a guide dog. And that didn't last very long, because we took it to the school board. The board sided with the superintendent, even though the high school rule violated state law. So we actually had to get the governor involved. And I think that also taught me that you could fight city hall and win. And it sent a message to people that I was going to be a part of the system. And that should be allowed. So I again, I think it was a little bit unusual compared to other people's stories who I've heard.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  10:48 Yeah, yeah. I mean, Michael, as you're sharing that reminds me, I think, one of the formative experiences, it's not the same, but that similarly shaped me was that I grew up wanting to play baseball. And at that time, it was very clear that girls are meant to play softball. And boys are meant to play baseball. But I have seen a little movie called A League of Their Own league of their own. Yes. Which, you know, just last week at the Emmys, they were honoring Gina Davis for the work that she's done in film, around. Representation around measuring the relationship between what little girls see on the film and how it impacts their relationship to self. But that movie, I was determined, I am going to play baseball, good for you, this character. But you know, here came this little black girl down, you know the street in Edgewood and shows up to an all boys League and says, I will be playing best baseball. And they had no idea what to do. And they armed an odd and you know, unbeknownst to me in the background, my mother, you know, who is a force to be reckoned with was also having conversations with the city to make sure that, you know, nobody was going to say no to me. But for my little eight, nine year old self, I really thought that I was leading this conversation in this charge. And I eventually got assigned to a team, the enjoyed pirates, they were called. And I was just thinking about my coach, Coach, Tony DeFranco, who, all those years that I played for him never once did he, you know, he just kind of accepted, she's here. And now that she's here, we're going to be the best team possible. And, and we were I have a trophy or two actually above my desk right here, commemorating those years. But that those early moments really shaped who I am now in the trajectory to becoming the CEO of this company, I think   Michael Hingson  13:09 and what a great story and and an absolutely relevant story. And yeah, your parents were your mother was especially involved in the background and so on. But still, that support system always helps. Absolutely,   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  13:23 absolutely. And that's in our work. One of the things that we're always for lack of a better word fighting for it's to make sure that everybody has some sort of Angry Black mom in their corner, who's saying, you know, we're here to advocate in the workplace to make sure that employees feel supported based on all of their intersectional identities, blind, black, queer, you know, living with dyslexia and feeling like they cannot share that within the workplace. All of those things. I think that's often what draws you and I together, right? Our own experiences have shaped the work that we now do.   Michael Hingson  14:12 What position did you play in on the team?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  14:16 Well, I mostly played shortstop, for anybody who's a baseball fan out, I'm just gonna say it is the hardest position to get so just whatever. And then pitcher Oh, well, there you go. Yeah,   Michael Hingson  14:30 yeah. How'd you how'd you do as a pitcher?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  14:33 Well, I was cracking up I was telling my kids this just the other day, I remember this one day. And it was it was a good movie moment. It was bottom of the night. And they had kind of one player in on third base scoring position. We were up and I was, you know, just kind of losing Steam losing gas. And here comes Tony DeFranco. Coach moseying out to the pitcher's mound. And, you know, we all took our hats off and tucked our gloves under our armpits. Mason was the catcher. And he goes, Lindsay, every once in a while in our lives, we have a choice. We either have to choose that we don't have it. And we need to sit down and come back another day. Or we choose that we have it, and then we have to back it up. And he said, Well, what is that moment right now for you? And I said, Well, Coach, I think I have it. And I'm going to back it up. You said fine, any mosey it on back off the field. And I threw a strike and the game was over. So you know, those, those sorts of things? You know, I think the there was a little bit of every time I was out on the field, I will say there was a an underlying core idea that I had to prove something. And I think I played like I had to prove something. And now as an adult, I'm trying to unlearn that habit, that I don't have to go into every space trying to prove something, I can just be myself.   Michael Hingson  16:15 But probably when you were growing up, it was good to have that to keep your edge nice and sharp.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  16:23 Yeah, yeah, it has been I you know that when I left Pittsburgh, it was still with that edge. I started college when I was 15 years old. By the time I was 21, I had three degrees under my belt. I moved overseas. Actually, the year I was turning 21, I had already graduated with my graduate degree in another degree under my belt, and I felt like I just had to keep being on the move, always be on that cutting edge. And that has led me to do some amazing things. And it's also landed me in the hospital rooms needing to rest in, you know, be pumped with fluids, it's, I can see sometimes how it impacts my children. So I'm trying to trying to not feel as though my otherness needs to be the defining factor in my life anymore.   Michael Hingson  17:26 Well, and hopefully what you will discover is that your otherness is as much there but you can bring it out in different ways. You don't have to constantly be running. And I think we, we all tend to do that a lot. We tend to run we got to do things all the time. Even when we take vacations, we got to get extremely active and do this and that and the other stuff. And then we got to come back and we have to have a vacation from our vacation. And we don't we don't stop and recognize that. In reality, we don't need to do that all the time.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  18:03 Yes. How have you in your life? Do you still think? How do you define yourself now? I mean, you're maybe one or two years older than I am Michael. So I get to learn from you. How do you   Michael Hingson  18:20 Oh, could be could be maybe one or two years or so hard to say? Well, you know, I, I like to do stuff. And I like to be active. But I don't need to be active and be the absolute number one person all the time, because I think opportunities will will come. So I love to speak, I love to travel and speak and continue to do that when the opportunities arise. And I've been doing it especially ever since September 11. But I, I don't need to be the president of one thing or another, although I own my own company. And it's just my wife and I so I get to be the president. And we we did it that way because it's called the Michael hingson group. So it kind of makes sense that I get to be the president. But if she wants to run it, she can run it, but she doesn't. So I'm stuck with it. But we I believe that, for me and my place in life, I'm going to do whatever seems right to do on any given day. But I like to take time at the end of the day to stop and go, What did I do today? How'd that go? Could I learn from that? And I will always ask those questions and I will always take that introspective role and start each day with what's coming up. What have I learned that I could bring an add value and in a sense that started significantly before September 11. But especially it started when And I opened an office for a company in the world trade center, and decided that, as the leader of that office, I needed to do whatever was necessary to function as a leader. And defining that meant to meant that I needed to do things like if we were gonna go to lunch, know how to go wherever we're gonna go to lunch, because I can't let someone just leave me around, well, how's that going to look, if we're going to negotiate contracts, or know how to travel from place to place, know what to do in case of an emergency, be on top of whatever was going on with the company, understand the products, and take the initiatives to make sure that I could do whatever, any good leader based on all the things that I've seen people do and what any good leader would do. And I will still continue to do that. That doesn't mean that I'm going to work 24 hours a day. But over time, I've learned what the process needs to be to make that happen. And so the result is that I've developed a mindset that says this is what you need to do. Or in the case of the World Trade Center, I developed eventually a mindset mindset that said, You know what to do, if there's an emergency, you know what to do in order to be involved in a situation, which doesn't mean I have to be in charge of doing everything to take responsibility for whatever happens. But I need to know enough to know when I can use my gifts and other people should use their gifts. And I should encourage that.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  21:45 Yeah. Can I ask a question about something you said? Out of my own curiosity, you named that you had a thought that there would be difficulty in negotiating contracts, if somebody were to support you on the walk to lunch? Or to say, you know, coffee shop, etc? Do? How do you think that that should be that within that relationship, that that creates a difference of power within the relationship? If we need to honor the other person's humanity in any given moment?   Michael Hingson  22:36 It depends on whether you're honoring the person's humanity, or whether you're making an assumption that isn't true. So, for example, there are certainly places that I don't know how to get to around New York City. But or even here in Victorville where I live today, but do I need someone? Do I need to hold someone's arm or Be Led there? Or can we walk side by side and carry on a conversation? Do Do I need to be the one to absolutely know where to go or not? The answer is, in my basic home environment that is in the case of what we're talking about the World Trade Center. Yes, I should know how to go to Finance Shapiro's down in the lobby of the shopping mall between the towers back in 2002 1001. Because that's where I resided. And if I allowed, if I chose not to know any of that, and needed to be led, that's the issue. Not that I didn't know or wouldn't deal with someone's humanity, but rather, if I didn't know, and didn't take the time and the responsibility to know and so needed to be led. I'm reinforcing a stereotype about blindness and blind people. And so part of it is also getting people to the point in their own mindsets where they recognize that in reality, I'm as competent and as capable as they are. So it's not denying someone's humanity to say, I know how to get there, I can do it. But rather to say, what would you expect anyone else to be able to do and why should it be different for me? If the opportunity and the ability and what I need to make it happen are available to me? Yes. And so that's, that's really the difference. I could just as easily be going out to lunch or dinner with people and did oftentimes in other places where I didn't necessarily know exact actually where to go. But even there, the issue is, how do you do it? Do you assume the blind guy can't walk next to you without holding on to you or not? It's all about stereotypes and the problem that we face, when we talk about diversity, equity and inclusion, is disabilities are left out of that discussion most of the time, and they're left out, because no matter what group you are from, most people have the same perception about disabilities that other people do. And so we tend to not be included in the discussions. We don't, we don't deal with recognizing the disability doesn't mean the lack of ability, that that word needs to change, just like we've changed the meaning of diversity, because diversity doesn't include disabilities today. By and large, it's it's not inclusion should. But even then people try to say, Well, I'm inclusive, because we deal with racial issues and racial bias, and we deal with gender, but then you don't deal with disability. So you're not inclusive, but just diversity is has has gone a different way, which is extremely unfortunate. So it's not about appreciating someone's humanity. It's about do we continue to promote and enforce the stereotypes? Or do we really try to change people's perceptions? And part of my job, as the leader of an office happening to be blind? Was it, it was important to be able to change people's perceptions? Because if I weren't viewed as a competent, capable individual, how could I expect to be involved in and or negotiate sales contracts and other things like any other manager would do?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  26:58 Yeah, this is so interesting. You're naming something that I've been really personally vacillating back and forth on in terms of, as I started to name earlier, realizing in a lot of spaces that I felt the need to represent all black women, wherever I was, in school, in other parts of the world that I traveled extensively, and to always kind of be a monolith, representing the majority. And I think a lot of people who come from historically excluded cultures or communities can relate with that. But now is a near my 40th birthday, which I'm super excited. Because I hear more and more people say, once you get closer to 40, you start to care less when people think, and I'm so excited for that. But as I get closer, I find myself really trying to separate what parts of me, am I still living my life trying to prove that black women should be could be are on par with their contemporaries? And what parts of that are a burden that I don't have to bear anymore? And in the reality is, I don't have an answer. So I'm listening to you. Also trying to mind through my own thoughts. And an example is, for example. You know, I have had a partner relationship come into my life over the past couple of years. And, you know, their love for me, has been teaching me that I also deserve nurture and care. I don't always have to be strong. I don't always have to, you know, I don't always have to have my emotions down. And I think for so many years in professional spaces, as a black woman, I just didn't give myself that grace, that that part of myself. And now, you know, we've met some of my team members, the great Laura Kay or the great J. Alba and the rest of our team. You know, they've been trying to coach me like, it's okay, if you cry, too. Yeah. It's okay. If you're having a bad day, you know, like, you don't always have to have it together.   Michael Hingson  29:34 Well, and, unfortunately, and this gets back to something that we talked to just a second about at the very beginning about unlearning attitudes, because I think anyone who works toward being successful, ends up believing that they have to be strong all the time, and they have to be on top Have everything rather than finding that there is so much value in creating a team. And everyone on the team has to rely on each other. And that the strength is in the team, not any particular individual. And yeah, the leader of a team has to and should have certain gifts, and maybe they're the the outfront strong or viewed as being strong person. But that still shouldn't work without the rest of the team being part of the process. Yes, yes. And so, you know, in talking about what what you're talking about, and and what we're discussing here. So what do you think about the issue of with whatever you're doing? Are you representing all black women or women in general, I wouldn't even extend it beyond black women. But I realized why you're, you're talking about it in terms of black women. But either way, what do you think about the fact that in reality, what you do is, or you don't represent black women?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  31:09 Yeah, I think it's an ongoing, unfair unfurling, for lack of a better word, I was really relating in my own way to what you said in terms of wanting to make sure that the stereotypes about black women that I was never feeding that, that I similarly, going to dinner, an example might be the expectation that black people or black women don't have money couldn't, you know, cover the cost of the bill, or we're not as smart. And so therefore, always feeling as though I had to give an opinion, but not only give an opinion, or to be the best opinion or that they're lazy, whatever. And so, I think, on some hands, that's still very much true that we know that if you are a representative, I was still historically excluded, group or community that you are still expected as a duo Lu talks about in her book mediocre, you are still expected to give 115 120% to other people, 75% just to be considered on par. But I don't think that that has to always be our responsibility anymore.   Michael Hingson  32:33 Right? And so I'm going in a slightly different direction. I agree with you. Do you have to be 115%? All the time? No. But does that mean that you're still not necessarily by virtue of being visible? And by virtue of what you do? Does that mean you're not representing in some way or another all black women?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  32:56 I think that's a great question, I think, and my personal why if I use Simon cynics language around finding our why, and other business leaders who have used similar language, I do, as part of my why want to be an inspiration, first and foremost, to my children, I have a 10 year old and eight year old. And I want them to see in me, hopefully something that they can see in themselves. And I know that for a lot of young people who I speak with that they go, Oh, you're a black woman, CEO. I could be that too. And, and I definitely know that creating that representation is a part of what gets me out of bed on some of the tough days. And I think in our culture, we sometimes struggle to allow the full, vast experience of being a human, for anybody that we give the mantle of leadership to, I hope that I have given as much permission to succeed as I am to fail. I hope I'm given as much permission to have angry off days as I am expected to always put on a smile and show up looking good.   Michael Hingson  34:27 And sometimes you need to say and transmit the message. It's okay. And it's fine for me to have days where I'm not absolutely the only 180% person in charge. And that doesn't make me less of a human being any more than it does you and how dare you judge me? Because in reality, we're all from the same mold. We are We're all made in the same image. And we all have good days, bad days, successful days, days where maybe it's not viewed as being as successful as it could be. But when you have the off days, the real question, and so it's always fun to turn it around. The real question is, what did I learn? That will help me not do that again. And that's where it comes really back full circle, which is why I always talk about introspection, because it's important to discuss this idea of what did I learn from this? I subscribe to the the whole discussion that failure, although I don't say I will, failure is what it is. But that failure is only a learning point on the way to success. Yes. And there's nothing wrong with having learning moments we all learn. And we always all better be learning, or we really aren't doing ourselves or other people's good services.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  36:09 Absolutely. I love that you. You know, I think in both of our work, we do so much training and teaching around the world. And I think one of the things I'm always surprised, most by is some people's lack of curiosity, the assumption that are the take of there's nothing more for me to learn about diversity, or equity, or inclusion, or these these topics. I just it you know, this is my work. I'm a nerd. So I could, you know, there's no end to the things I want to learn. But I love meeting people. And I love hearing what is it like moving through the world, in your body, in your mind and your heart space? And so that, that, that take of I don't have anything else to learn here about diversity? I never understand that. Because it just seems like an opportunity to live books and movies out loud.   Michael Hingson  37:19 Yeah. Well, and the other thing about diversity, and this whole area of discussion is how can we feel that we've learned all there is when society is constantly evolving, anyway?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  37:34 Yes, yes. Yes.   Michael Hingson  37:38 And so we, we may, on any given day, at any given second? No, mostly everything that we need to know. But in two seconds, something is going to change that's going to change that whole dynamic. So there's no way we're going to learn all there is to know, the question is, are we learning it? And are we putting it into practice?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  37:57 Absolutely. I read an article, I think it was in the New York Times a couple of weeks ago, and it was saying that old, quote, unquote, can now be defined as the scale of curiosity that one has. And so those who had a fixed mindset, I know everything there is to know there's nothing more I could learn. Scientists were able to see how that fixed mindset was actually impacting their body, their brain, and how it was aging. And those who remained curious. Woke up each day with like you said, Michael, I have the intention to learn something new each day, that their bodies and their brains stayed Young. As a result, as well, Isn't that so cool? That we can now put some science around that?   Michael Hingson  38:50 It is I didn't see that article, I'm gonna have to go back and find it. But it's it's absolutely true. And we should constantly be curious. Because if we if we aren't, then we're not living. And I think that's one of the reasons we're all here is to be curious and discover. Life is an adventure and we should treat it like an adventure. I get yelled at lots when I reach out and touch something and people say, Oh, you're not supposed to touch that. Well, that's the way I get to explore things a lot. And the reality is even in museums where people say, too much oil on something may may help to damage it. But the reality is that it's the way I N other people who don't look at things, discover a lot. And there shouldn't be anything wrong with allowing us to explore and I can appreciate. It may very well be where you got to have a wipe and get the oil off your hands first. No problem with that, but don't deny me the opportunity to learn and discuss in fact, it's one of the clues that led me to understanding the mindset that I developed on September 11, one of the things that that I constantly did after I learned most of what I thought I could learn about emergencies and everything else was I would as I went into the World Trade Center, most every day, I would ask myself, anything else to learn today? I go off and look, and sometimes I found stuff, and sometimes I didn't. But asking the question is really the important part?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  40:28 Absolutely. I even do that in my own way, which is, I will intentionally some days just take another driving route, just so I can see something new the tree I haven't noticed before, restaurant I haven't seen before, just to break out of the monotony and feel as though I've entered into another vortex for a minute.   Michael Hingson  40:52 Well, I always well, walking around the world trade center wanted to make sure my guide dog didn't get into the habit of going one way because the dog's job isn't to know where to go and how to get there. That's my job, the dog's job is to make sure we walk safely. So I had to, as much as I could figure out new ways to get to the same place inside of a complex of buildings, which got to be a real challenge after a while. And sometimes I just took convoluted routes just to end up going the same route. But by going to different floors and doing other things, but, but traveling around to keep the dog from getting into the habit of memorizing something. And of course, all of that was extremely important on September 11, because I didn't want the dog to decide where she thought I should go, especially if that way might happen to be blocked, which is another way of also saying I needed to know that information, so I could deal with it. And that also helped other people because going down the stairs. And, and being in the complex that day, giving the DoD directions I had lots of people following us because they said, Well, you're confident you know what you're doing. And I heard about it later. But they they said, if this guy can go, we're gonna follow him, you know, and that was important to do. But what I eventually decided was to talk about all of that, because if it would help people learn how to move on from September 11. And if it would help people learn how to deal with developing better relationships, and trust and teamwork, and if it would teach people about blindness and guide dogs, then I was going to talk about it and continue to do that. And that was in part why ask the question before because I do think, whether we choose to or not any of us who get visible, even if we're only visible to a few people we are representing whatever it is that people view about us. And so I want people to get the best possible view of what blindness is like, because they're going to hopefully remember me and think about the next blind person they meet, at least in part in the same way. And it's all too unfortunate that all too many blind people, for example, are not taught a lot of the skills and the way that they should be taught to develop a level of independence and self confidence. And that's unfortunate, but it is still something we deal with. And it is still something that we all try to work to overcome. But I know that whenever I'm viewed up, I'm going to be compared to other people who happen to be blind. And I'm also hopefully going to be able to teach people maybe a little bit of a different view, which is okay, if I can do that and be successful. That's great. I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone, but rather I'm just gonna live my life. But if I can accomplish something like that along the way, then so much the better.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  44:00 Yeah. It's so interesting. As you're sharing, I'm thinking back and I don't think I've thought about this for years. So thank you, Michael. I was in my I was 19. Or maybe I hadn't turned 19 Yet in my senior year of college, and I was a orientation leader. So you know that first week of college? Yep. Everybody's coming. I'm in senior year we're welcoming all the freshmen there was lots of screaming and shaking of pom poms, I remember. And this was in Boston. And when 911 That year, those events occurred, you know, very quickly, Boston started to be shut down as well. And I remember I was in dance class at the time and one of our other instructors came in and, you know, kind of told us what was happening and For all of the leaders of orientation, we're quickly kind of cold to be present for these freshmen who were away from home for the very first time, most of them coming from other parts of the US and kind of just be there for them. And they were from all over the world all over the country. And everybody was having so many feelings. And we obviously had no idea what was going on any of us. And that experience was one of many experiences that led to the forming of LT HJ global and what is soon to be our dei tech platform sojourn it was that, that desire to create safe spaces for people across all of their difference to come together, to feel seen, to feel heard, to feel held and supported. And, you know, I haven't thought about how that then shaped my graduate degree in, gosh, almost 20 plus years now. What,   Michael Hingson  46:12 Where were you going to school?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  46:13 Then? My undergraduate was at Emerson, which is right, in, you know, along the perimeter of the Boston Commons. And then I started my graduate work. While simultaneously I was doing a muscular therapy degree at another school, I started my graduate work at Lesley University. Cambridge, Massachusetts,   Michael Hingson  46:38 right. So, you mentioned dance. Were you studying that in college?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  46:44 Yeah. In my undergrad, I was still very determined to be a dance and theater start. You know, I had seen Janet Jackson. And that was clearly what I wanted to be in my life. A backup singer and dancer to Janet Jackson.   Michael Hingson  47:02 Don't have any wardrobe malfunctions,   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  47:04 no word of mouth. If I had been there, Janet, I would have had, I would have been like, and it's sorted. Just like move. Lindsay right there. Yeah. Some of the listeners or people tuning in today are not old enough to know. So we just made Michael. Go look it up.   Michael Hingson  47:28 That time? The Super Bowl,   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  47:31 though? The Super Bowl? Yeah. We've come many years from there. But yeah. Go ahead. Sorry. Go ahead. No, I still think, you know, a lot of times people will ask me, How does a dance and theater major become a CEO of a company? And I go, Well, I know how to pivot very well. And you need to pivot. When you are a founder and CEO. I know, you know that Michael, you can bob and weave? Exactly. As   Michael Hingson  48:01 well, how did being in dance and so on, move you toward the kind of things that you do today?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  48:10 No, I think. I think and you know, I'm very happy to have some of your listeners or, you know, viewers, however you are tuning in today, push back on this, but I still think that the arts is a space for little kids that are considered other to come together and feel that they have a sense of community. There's, you know, maybe still 2030 years ago, you know, we didn't have the language that we have around it now. But it was a space where little LGBTQIA plus bus kids felt safe. It was a space where black and brown kids from across many different cultural identities felt safe. It was a space to be creative with kids who were moving through the world, in wheelchairs, and other you know, just ways to experience difference as being something to be normal and celebrated, as opposed to something that everybody was trying to overcome, or trying to assimilate and fit in. And I think there was something about dance and theater where it was like, we don't fit in. And that's why we fit into this group or space.   Michael Hingson  49:42 Well, and the reality is there were other kids who had none of the characteristics that you're describing who were from what people view as normal, who are also part of that society and the reality is everyone learned to I get along, and a lot of ways, a lot more than in other kinds of environments because everyone shared the arts.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  50:08 Yeah, yeah. It's interesting. When we're teaching, sometimes I think people think it's so different. But I often sometimes I'm listening to people who grew up in military households or grew up, you know, in the military, and there's a lot of similarities there to have, there's a very strong culture, you have to learn the rules, and one of the rules is, get over it, we're all different. And that difference is something that's going to make us better. And, you know, in every culture, there's still opportunities to continue looking at how we continue to grow and embrace different types of diversity. But there's something about a group that is coming together, saying that diversity is what makes them better, as opposed to diversity being some type of problem that we need to get rid of.   Michael Hingson  51:11 Yeah, it really is important to appreciate other people. And there's no better way to do it than when you're all working towards some common goal or are working in some sort of environment that that brings you all together. Like in the arts, whether it's dance, whether it's painting, singing, or music, and in any form, those are commonalities that we can all appreciate. And there, we do see all too often different people from different kinds of environments, who are successful, and maybe that helps us tolerate a much more diverse population within the arts. I don't know. But it's a thought.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  52:00 Yeah, yeah. And I think, to your point, there's still, you know, we still look at conductors, for example. And we're, I know that there's still a lot of work to try to diversify conductors at the symphony, there's still, in my lifetime been a lot of work to diversify the body styles. Within dance. It was very common when I was coming up as a dancer to kind of expect a ballerina to be almost 12% under the body fat ratio, which is very unhealthy. And to see normal bodies, which bodies comes in all shapes and sizes on the stage has really been something that's developed over the past 20 years. There's still a lot of work to do. But I think the mission statement at least is is is still an unspoken. All are welcome here. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.   Michael Hingson  53:09 And that's, I think, part of what's really important, and if we could only move that out of certain areas, like the arts into the rest of society, the whole idea that all are welcome or should be welcomed is so important. But we have so many places in our society where people say, Well, you're great where you are, but you can't really be where I am. And that kind of judgment never helps. Yes, yes.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  53:41 I mean, we recently had a teacher coming to our monthly unlearning series, Joy Braungart, who was talking about the relationship between capitalism and disability justice. And I think, you know, the same way that we do not prioritize arts in schools because they within a capitalistic model, we're like, I can't make money in the arts. So we're just going to focus on math, science, reading, writing. And well, that's it. Right. And so we're still fighting for Steam as a huge thing within schools. But also, I think, in terms of disability justice, this idea that the stereotype that different bodies are still within American culture viewed through the lens of can you produce within a capitalistic system or can you not produce and that that has led to legislation that has undervalued our disabled community that has, as you said, created, you know, stigmas that are just so normal and normalized for people that they don't even question the way that they A my infantilized, somebody who is in a wheelchair infantilized, somebody who is on the ASD spectrum, all of these things that tie up to? does it relate to productivity? Or not? And that is a flawed system and itself.   Michael Hingson  55:20 Yeah, we, we still have to compare and we shouldn't have to compare. We should accept and encourage, and get people to be all they truly can be. But we, we just seem to talk about that a lot not do anything about it most of the time.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  55:41 Yeah. Well, that's fine. You know, thank you for saying that. I know, it's just a drop in the bucket. But just like your company, what ltj global and our new tech platform for small and midsize businesses soldier is designed to do is to try to bridge that gap to bring the value around humaneness back into workplaces, and to give leaders and dei champions and everybody in between the tools and resources that they need and ready made work paths, ready made resources and toolkits, educational videos so that we can no longer say like, Oh, our company can afford it. We've we're leveraging technology to try to take that, that that kind of normal kind of objection out of the picture and saying, now it's not that you can't afford it. It's just whether or not you want to do it. Do you care about your people? Do you care about inclusivity? Or don't you?   Michael Hingson  56:50 So tell me what LTS j is all about.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  56:55 So l th j is our consultancy. And that, you know, was a bunch of nerds from social science and the DEI field, the mental health field, organizational change, management, psychology, etc. all came together and said, hey, you know, I think this next wave of Dei, all of our research is going to be really useful as organizations try to move forward and build strong dei functions within their organization. And it's really designed to support companies that are done with just one off trainings. Or, you know, let's talk about racism potlucks, or let's talk about accessibility potlucks, and really want to do deep, meaningful transformation work. And then more recently, from really listening to our clients, we've started developing and incubating in house a new startup, which is sojourn Dei, which is to meet the needs of small nonprofits, small businesses, between you know, the size of two to about 150 employees, and make sure that they also have accesses access to revolutionary support and change tools. How does that work? Well, we're so excited. There's so many things, I think the easiest thing to say is that, once you log in at sojourn Dei, and the platform becomes available, you know, anybody can get on there and start going through guided step by step plans, surveys that you can use within your organization, training that you can provide throughout your organization, and really start learning how to build out dei and policies, procedures, frameworks, and et cetera, within your organization, all in a budget that is affordable for small businesses.   Michael Hingson  59:00 So again, what how to how does all that work? Do they is it all online? Is it meeting with people? Is it providing classes or what is it about?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  59:09 Great idea? A great question is, first and foremost, it is a software platform. So similar to MailChimp, or a HubSpot, where we have taken all of the tools that sit inside consultants heads and downloaded them into a software platform. And so you would log in and you would have a world for your company. And it's going to allow you to have your own company dashboard where you are running initiatives where we've given you step by step work paths with templates and tools that you just apply at the right time. It'll keep you on track with compliance and with rollout. But then to your point, Michael, when you do need that some weren't the only person talking you through it on the other end of a phone or email could provide, you can actually reach out right through the platform and talk to a dei transformation manager.   Michael Hingson  1:00:13 How do you or what would you advise people who are more interested in making their their companies more inclusive? What kind of advice would you give them? What are the pitfalls that you typically see,   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  1:00:30 I think the main pitfall that we see, is trying to do one off, you know, one off trainings or one off dei statements, something like this, but not really understanding that you're implementing one of the most strategic aspects in a successful company. And so that requires attention. It requires budget, it requires time, both people time, as well as longitudinal time as you operationalize things. And so, for those leaders who are still stuck in the, oh, I'll just pull off my dei initiative, you know, work plan once a month at Disability Awareness Month, or Women's History Month or Black History Month, but then they're not doing anything the rest of the year. Those are the companies that tend to fail. And they're still confused why they're not attracting the best talent, why their company is not having some of the best outcomes with their competitors. It's because they haven't yet learned that dei is no longer a nice to have, it's a must have in this growing economic climate.   Michael Hingson  1:01:54 One of the things that I talk about, and some others talk about when we talk about inclusivity. And we talk specifically about, say blindness and hiring blind people is that, in reality, you are doing a disservice to your company, and you are missing out when you don't make inclusion. A recognized part of the cost of doing business pure and simple if you don't allow the company to recognize that everyone has expenses that the company incurs for and we we make accommodations, we make accommodations for sighted people, we have lights for you guys, we have a coffee machine for you guys. Yes, yes, we have windows so that you can look out and, and so on, we provide computer monitors and so on, but we don't necessarily provide the equivalents. The alternatives for those for a person who happens to be blind, or although it's a little bit more common, we don't necessarily tend to be as willing as we ought to be about making wheelchair ramps and other things like that. But the reality is, it's all part of the cost of doing business. And when you hire someone, and you make it a point to recognize that difference isn't going to matter here, and we're going to provide you with what you need, then that person is more apt to stay with you, statistically speaking, and there's a lot of absolute evidence to show that people will be more loyal, because we know how hard it is to get a job. When you're dealing with persons with disabilities, for example, where the unemployment rate is among unplayable people is in the 65% range. That's huge. And so, the fact is that we do appreciate jobs, and even more important, we are the ones who really ought to know what we need. And I applaud the interviewer or the employer, who will say to someone who is coming in applying for for a job, tell me what you need, and how we get it. Because a lot of times it doesn't need to be a cost to the company anyway. But bring that person in as part of the team to get themselves hired.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  1:04:28 Yes, yes. I couldn't have said it better. Absolutely. Inclusion is just a normal cost of business.   Michael Hingson  1:04:38 Yeah, it should be. And it is something that we we really need to work on all the more to make it happen. Yes. Well, we've been doing this a while, which is fun. But I'd like to ask you to tell me how can people reach out to you learn more about you learn more about LTE HJ and so During and so on.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  1:05:02 Thank you. And great now, either you can find us through LTHJ global.com. Or through sojourndei.com. And the difference there is really one solution is for larger companies 155 Plus ad LTHJ. And for companies between one and 150 people add sojourn Dei. And we're excited to, as Michael said, helped make inclusion just a normal part of making your business great.   Michael Hingson  1:05:40 So they can reach out and . Can they contact you through those? If they want to talk with you? Can they contact you through those sites? Or how does that work?   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  1:05:49 Absolutely. Either. myself or one of my amazing teammates will respond immediately, you might end up talking to any number of wonderful people, the great Laura Kay Chamberlain, who's one of our co founders, or Jay Alba, is one of our co founders. But I'm also at most things at Lindsey, th, Jackson, LinkedIn, or Instagram are a really great way to connect with me personally and track as we continue to grow and scale. And I'd love to welcome you on our journey.   Michael Hingson  1:06:28 And we met through LinkedIn. So I will tell you, it's a great way to connect.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  1:06:32 Absolutely. Hey, we should make sure you get like some royalty fees for that plug.   Michael Hingson  1:06:37 Yeah, let's let's, let's go into LinkedIn and say, you know, we're doing all this for you.   Lindsey T. H. Jackson  1:06:45 Absolutely. Oh, what a wonderful time.   Michael Hingson  1:06:49 This was fun. And I really appreciate you, you coming on and being a part of this. And I said I was going to do it, Laura, you don't get to hide. Laura has been monitoring this. And I'm sure it's going to have fun talking with Lindsay afterward. But Laura, do you want to say hello, you can't?   Laura Kay Chamberlain  1:07:06 How much I love this episode, and I feel a little a little bad that I get to be the very first one to witness it. And I just took that opportunity from everybody else feel like, I feel like, yeah, they're gonna be they're gonna be excited to hear this one come out. And just such a such a natural conversation between you two, this is great.   Michael Hingson  1:07:31 No, this, this really was a lot of fun. And I appreciate both of you being here. And and I learned a lot, I always love to come on these episodes and have a chance to speak with people because I feel that I get to learn. And if, if I can learn then that's important to me. [00:30] Kevin McCarthy Is 0-13 (29 minutes) Kevin McCarthy lost the vote to be speaker of the House for the 12th and 13th times today, despite gaining several Republican holdout votes. The Republicans voting against McCarthy hope that if they can't prevent him from getting in, they can at least use the vote stalemate to cut deals that will enact change in the House, including a vote on legislator term limits. The debate over who should be the next speaker of the House is exposing a lot of the sickness in Washington—and also showing Americans what democracy looks like. [29:00] How the FBI Hacked Twitter (10 minutes) Lee Smith wrote an excellent article for Tablet explaining the significance of the FBI's corrupt ties to Twitter. As Smith pointed out, Elon Musk has revealed more through the “Twitter Files” about the FBI's election interference through social media than John Durham's entire three-year Russiagate investigation. [39:00] Be Led by the Spirit (10 minutes) Romans 8:14 makes it clear that to be God's sons, we must be led by the Holy Spirit. Submission to the Spirit produces the fruits of the Spirit in our daily lives (Galatians 5:22-23). We must be renewed by the Holy Spirit every day and allow it to lead us in the direction of godliness. [49:15] E-mail Feedback (6 minutes)

[00:30] Funeral of the Century (15 minutes) Queen Elizabeth II's funeral was a display of Britain's imperial institutions and traditions, celebrating both the Queen's life and Britain's history and victorious past. In many ways, today was also the funeral of the British Empire. [15:00] Biden's Incoherent 60 Minutes Interview (9 minutes) In a 60 Minutes interview that aired this weekend, Joe Biden inarticulately dismissed questions about his fitness for office, ignored the inflation crisis, and doubled down on his claim that he knew nothing about the Mar-a-Lago raid. He made several statements that have since been walked back by the White House. This interview made it more obvious than ever that Biden is not in charge. [24:00] The 44-Hour Sanctuary Island (5 minutes) Forty-four hours after 50 migrants arrived in Martha's Vineyard, the National Guard escorted them to a military base. The contrast is stark: When states being overrun by illegal immigrants request National Guard deployment, their pleas are ignored; but when a rich, liberal enclave receives just 50 migrants, the National Guard is immediately deployed to remove the problem. Added to that, Martha's Vineyard residents are now congratulating themselves for allowing the migrants to stay just two days! [29:30] Obama's Disinformation Campaign (8 minutes) The National Pulse reported yesterday that the Good Information Foundation, which is led by former Obama White House staffer Rick Stengel, was caught “offering social media influencers money to post false claims about President Donald Trump and January 6th” on TikTok. One TikTok whistleblower provided correspondence he had with the foundation, which gave him required talking points for the paid post, including phrases like “criminal conspiracy” and “Trump Republicans.” [37:10] How to Be Led by the Spirit (18 minutes) To be led by the Holy Spirit, we must maximize our daily hour of prayer, be honest about how much we mind the things of the flesh, and learn to heed the still, small voice. Instances throughout the book of Acts show the apostles living by these three qualities and being directly led by the Spirit.

To know, be Known, & to Be Led by The Holy Spirit We ended last week by identifying that the Holy Spirit gives everyone at least one spiritual gift. It's equally important to know that no gift is an indication of spiritual maturity. The fruit of the Spirit manifesting in love is the measure of spiritual maturity. William Barclay said, “The important issue is not how many gifts I have, but is my life like Christ's and am I attracting people to Him?” How do we ensure our lives are attracting people to Jesus? It begins by knowing and understanding that we are known by the Holy Spirit. This is where everything good about life begins. Have you ever thought about what it means to be known? It is pretty cool to pause, and picture God saying, “(Insert your name here), I know him/her. They are my son/daughter. I love him/her.” Are you confident this is what God would say about you? This is where we begin today because this is the beginning of being led by the Holy Spirit. “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.” -Romans 8:14-16 (NIV)- Ethos is a life-giving community committed to keeping Jesus at its Center. We are on a mission to love all people in Jesus' name so that we may all Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, & Make a Difference. Scripture and Questions for Study and Reflection: The youth rewrote the words of Ecclesiastes 3 to say: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be HOPEFUL and a time to BE GRATEFUL, a time to LEAD and a time to BE LED, a time FOR PEACE and a time FOR CHANGE, a time to RESET YOUR LIFE and a time to LET GOD WORK, a time FOR NEW EXPERIENCES and a time to RELIVE MEMORIES, time to ENJOY EVENTS and a time to REST, a time to STRETCH OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE and a time to MAINTAIN, time to GIVE and a time to RECEIVE, a time to GRIEVE and a time to HEAL, a time to CRY and a time to LAUGH. 1.What word or short phase would define this season of life for you? 2.Some of the youth spoke about the word Katartizo, which means to repair, prepare, mend, fix, make ready, fill, restore, supply, equip, etc. How does Jesus want to Katartizo you? How do you want/need Him to Katartizo you? Thank you for allowing the Youth to share the message today. We pray you are uplifted by their words and inspired by their love for Jesus.

The Kingdom's COMING and GROWING has almost nothing to do with us. “Therefore, for every second of the time the world has been a world, it has also been the kingdom. Its progress through history is not a transition from non-kingdom to kingdom; rather, it is a progress from kingdom-in-a-mystery to kingdom-made-manifest.” - Robert Farrar Capon The Kingdom didn't just appear with Jesus. Jesus REVEALED the mystery of the Kingdom! God's Kingdom is ruled by Jesus Christ and grows by His Word and The Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9-10 “All we need to do, and all we can do, is simply trust that the leaven is, was, and always will be entirely mixed into the lump of our existence — and that it will infallibly lighten every last one of us. The job is already, if mysteriously, done: by the power of the Word who breathed out his life for us on the cross — by the might of him who, in the glory of his resurrection, forever whispers our reconciled names into his Father's ear — we are as good as baked to perfection right now.” - Robert Farrar Capon RESPONSE: 1. Its progress through history is not a transition from non-kingdom to kingdom; rather, itis a progress from kingdom-in-a-mystery to kingdom-made-manifest.” - Robert Farrar CaponThe Kingdom didn't just appear with Jesus.Jesus REVEALED the mystery of the Kingdom!God's Kingdom is ruled by Jesus Christ and grows by His Word and The Holy Spirit.Colossians 2:9-10“All we need to do, and all we can do, is simply trust that the leaven is, was, and always will beentirely mixed into the lump of our existence — and that it will infallibly lighten every last one ofus. The job is already, if mysteriously, done: by the power of the Word who breathed out his lifefor us on the cross — by the might of him who, in the glory of his resurrection, forever whispersour reconciled names into his Father's ear — we are as good as baked to perfection right now.” - Robert Farrar CaponRESPONSE:1. Tim Carter sees God everywhere, even in the most difficult of times, reminding us that God is present in all moments of life. "I will let God give to me his all as I hear his call." Tim Carter is a Christian poet and author. He has written two books of Christian poetry, "God's Rhyme: Expressions of Faith" and "Living in God's Rhyme." This is Tim Carter's story... Tim Carter sees God in the good and bad moments of life. He sees God in the smiles of strangers, in the birth of new life, and even in death. He is reminded that God is present everywhere, even in the most difficult of times.. In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. The power of rhyme in communicating and connecting with God 2. The importance of being aware of one's own judgmental tendencies and working to overcome them 3. The ways that God shows himself to us in everyday life, both in the good and the bad Resources: [Insert any lead magnet/CTA links from Guest here]  Chapter Summaries: 1) Tim is Tim's brother Dave's brother tim is Tim and Dave is Dave tim doesn't like to hear himself talk on the podcast, so he changed the name of the podcast to Living in the rhyme from Living in Grief's rhyming. 2) Tim and Dave are going to read and discuss some poems that have encouraged them as they have lived them. The first poem is called Trust to Be Led. The second one is called. I removed the log from my eye and I will forgive as I live. Recently, Dave has found that he is becoming a worse driver. There was a glass house on the lake shore between Marysville and St. Clair, Michigan. Dave used to throw stones at people. He used to do that too. But now he's aware of it less and less. He thinks it helps us to be aware of things, so we're less likely to do them. 3) This week especially for some reason, I feel his grasp has been a little bit tighter. I find myself asking for forgiveness more often, but I also find myself not doing as many things that I think I need to ask for forgiveness for. Believing and being around and being with Jesus is fun. 4) All right. That was a good discussion. There was some good thoughts and questions. 5) The rhymes are what got me started. I had to give up a few stances because I could not find a Rhyming word that made sense. I kind of liked where I was going, but because I started rhymes, I knew I needed to finish. 6) The first two poems are Christian poetry that aren't published. The second poem is found on page 31, and it's called Your Love. Jesus' love is perfect more than man. Jesus is a loving and righteous deity. He loves people lovingly even when they do wrong things in their lives. 7) Tim was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009. He was treated with radiation in the hospital for three days and 25 low dose radiation treatments. After that. The hospital where he had his treatment at was 45 miles away from home, but they took him there at 7:30 instead of 800. Tim was able to get back to work by 8:30. 8) As his faith expanded through church and through reading. He wants to read more of the Old Testament as it gives him more of a desire to read the Bible. He is not a Bible expert, but he has been in groups with discussion about the Old and New Testament. 9) Tim and Jesus are running a race two weeks in a row. They were talking about the director of their show earlier. Tim and the director got together this weekend and they can't wait to be with Jesus next week. They are going to do a podcast called Preparation. Dave is in Florida. Paul and Tim are in Michigan. Dave is thankful they are there. Dave has been to the hospital before. Dave and Tim have been hospitalized recently. Tim and Dave will talk about this in the show notes. They will also talk about Tim's and Dave's relationship with Jesus. 10) Dave and Dave pray for their listeners and viewers. They pray for the nation of Ukraine and its people. They also pray for those who have not yet...

Restoration of the Saints (8) (Audio) David Eells - 4/3/22 Go Forth My People; Be Led by My Spirit Debbie Fenske - 3/10/22 (David's notes in red) Prophecy:  This Word from our Father's heart is quite a plea for us to be Jesus; do what Jesus would do if He were here in the flesh. And, He says, “I am here in the flesh. Here I Am, in you.” (He is Immanuel - God with us) “My people! Oh, My people! Have you not heard what you have been speaking this night? Have you not heard the message that has been going forth from your mouths as you have shared with one another? Have you not felt your heart swell, and your faith rise?  For, My people, tonight you have been speaking the message that I have spoken to you before this. This message is more than, get ready. This message is be ready! Rise up! Take your stand, and move out, move forward a mighty army that you are, even though you are few. For it is the few that I choose to use. I have heard you ask, “Lord give us the faith to go forth and be Your hands, Your feet, and Your mouth, to speak The word, “Be healed!” “Be delivered!” My people! Oh, My people! I have given you My Word! My Word in you is the faith already given to you. And My Word in you is power. And I have told you many times to go forth. So, go forth, My people! Will you not just trust the power of My Spirit through My Word in you to move out through you to set the captives free? So many are waiting. Repent of lethargy. (We are called ambassadors for Christ, which means we are to represent Him to the world and not ourselves. 2Co 5:20  We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech you on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God.) Repent of inhibitions that keep you from being used in this hour. This IS the hour. Now is the time. Stop looking and waiting for a certain point of time in the future. Look at “now.” Now is the time. The time has always been now. And I say to you, again, no more holding back. For, it will not be you. It will not be about you. But it is all about Me through you, in power, My people. (2Co 13:5  Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.) I have also told you in the past, “Be led by My Spirit.” So, be led, My people. Yes, here I am in you, beside you, before you, and behind you; always ready to lead you. So, see the work that is before you, My people, and do it! As you move in Me, and as you allow me yo move in you, you will see the needs that I have planted. And, many of these will be added to My planting of faithful overcomers. They have always been right before you, every where you have turned. Be bold and be strong my people. The harvest is ready. And I have made you ready.”   Open Your Mouth and I Will Fill it Debbie Fenske - 2/7/22 (David's notes in red) The Lord spoke this word after a night of worship and praise unto Him.  “Too much silence! My children. How I love your songs of worship unto Me. How I long for you to uplift Me in this way. And I am honored, uplifted by your worship and your praise. But, oh My people, I need you to not be so silent. I need you to open your mouth and give unto me your worship from your heart, even as you go about your daily activities.  Give unto Me the fruit of your lips from your heart, and the glory that is due My name through prayer and through praise. Talk to me. I long to hear from you in this way, My children. And I long to give back unto you what will uplift you. Only open your mouth wide, my children. Lift Me up, and I shall fill you up. And you shall go forth and glorify Me.”   Deu. 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.   Isa. 59:16-21  And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it upheld him. 17 And he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle. 18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense. 19 So shall they fear the name of Jehovah from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of Jehovah driveth. 20 And a Redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith Jehovah. 21 And as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith Jehovah: my Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith Jehovah, from henceforth and for ever. For the morning meeting on 3/17/22 we received by faith at random,  Jer. 12:5  If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and though in a land of peace thou art secure, yet how wilt thou do in the pride of the Jordan?   Dream of Resurrection Claire Pienaar - 3/14/22 (David's notes in red) I dreamed I was in a waiting area, like a lobby of a hotel. (A hotel represents individual temples joined together into one holy temple in the Lord.  The hotel lobby is a communal area.) I had my room keys with me and I think the number 144 was on the key. (This represents the key of David to bind and loose which the David Man-child 144,000 gives to Claire as the Bride, just as Jesus did. Rev 3:7  And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and none shall shut, and that shutteth and none openeth. Mat. 16:19 I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  And here is the 144,000 David Man-child body. Rev 14:1 And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on the mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty and four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads...  4 These are they that were not defiled with women (denominations); for they are virgins (Meaning they have not received the seed of men). These are they that follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, to be the firstfruits unto God and unto the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no lie: they are without blemish.) There were others in this lobby but they were staying in other motels around the area, not in the same hotel I was staying at. (The Bride is a sanctified body through the teaching of the 144 Man-child as it was with Jesus and His first disciples.) I saw an Indian family with 4 children, all similar in ages to my own (under 12). They were very friendly but they were of a middle eastern religion. I was very aware that they were not a part of “the flock” yet.  I asked them the names of their children and they rattled them off. Then the Holy Spirit took me over in this dream. I knew it and I felt it. I said, “What's the name of the fifth child?” And the wife and mother of the family looked down with pain in her face and her tears dropped onto the floor and the husband looked down too. I don't remember the fifth child's name for sure but I think it was Priya. (In Hindi this name means “dear” or “beloved”). She had died somehow a long time ago. I said very calmly and confidently, “In the Name of Jesus, she lives”.  Then I had a vision of this little girl's skeleton being lifted out of the ground; wrapped in white linen. Before my eyes the sinews and muscles and flesh came back onto this young child.  The skeleton changed from being grotesque at first, to being feeble, then it changed again to being peaceful, and then radiant with the life of a 5 yr old little Indian girl! (Riaan: Reminds me of that song: “These are the days of Ezekiel, where dry bones becoming as flesh!”) (Although mighty miracles of physical resurrection will take place, Ezekiel saw a spiritual resurrection through revival in which eternal life is entered into. Eze. 37:1-6 The hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of Jehovah, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 And he caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, thou knowest. 4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah. 5 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live. 6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. The parents were jumping up and down! They were saying, “This is the true God!” “This is real?” “Is this real?” “How can that happen?” “Can we touch her?” Then there was much hugging and celebration and they introduced their other children to this 5th child, their daughter Priya. Then I woke up.   Jesus in the Man-child is Coming to Teach Us Marie Kelton - 11/22/21 (David's notes in red) During the night meeting, I had an open vision, of me being in heaven. (In heavenly places in Christ. (Eph 2:6  and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus,)  I was wearing all white. (Representing sanctification.) I and two other people ahead of me were all sitting down (Sitting with Him in heavenly places). The Lord was in front of us as He started passing out graded test papers. (Jas 1:2-4 Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations (i.e. testings); 3 Knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience. 4 And let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing.)  The first person got an A, the second person got a B. Then the Lord came to me and I got a C. All the grades were written in red ink with a circle around them. (Many times the words of Jesus are in red in the Bible but actually He is the Word of God, which is ALL of the Word. The words of God are a test for us as to whether we will have faith to obey them or not.) After the Lord gave me my test paper back, He sat down and started to teach me. (Jas. 1: 5-8  But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord; 8 a doubleminded man, unstable in all his ways.) Then I woke up. It made me think of these verses  Mat 13:23  And he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 1Jn 2:27 And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you; concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him.   Seeing Christ in the Mirror Marie Kelton - 1-28-22 (David's notes in red) During the night the lord gave me a vision of my spiritual man in a dark place. (1 Co. 13:10-12 but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.) She was wearing all white and standing in front of a vanity that was all white with a desk and a chair.  My spiritual man was looking in the mirror, and saw a black being there. I knew it was my flesh man in the mirror. (Jas 1:23-24 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding your own selves. 23 For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror: 24 for he beholdeth himself, and goeth away, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.) My spiritual man broke the mirror by hitting it (Because we cannot see the old man in the mirror or we will not be justified by faith and not have the power to obey.)  Then I saw the Lord standing next to my spiritual man in front of the vanity. (2 Co. 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.)   Run Your Own Race Claire Pienaar - 3/7/22 (Joe Brits notes in Green | David's notes in Red) I dreamed I (Representing the Bride) was in a white limousine. (The limo represents that we're very important, because Jesus lives in us, and we are resting from all works, and we're driven by acts of sanctification. It's only Jesus in us who's important Joh 3:13  And no one hath ascended into heaven, but he that descended out of heaven, even the Son of man, who is in heaven. [This part was added in; It has no Numeric pattern as the rest does.]) (Joe Brits: Claire, meaning “brilliant”, denotes the “lampros garment” of the Bride corporate body in Revelation 19.). Joe Brits was in the limousine with me. (Joe Brits: The limo represents the vehicle or the means to be delivered at the start of the tribulation. The name Joe is short for Joseph, who represents the Man-Child. See the Man-child Bride Book, page 63: Jesus, in the corporate body of Man-child ministers around the world who is the husband or head of His Bride). Joe was dressed in bright blue classic running shorts and a bright blue running vest. He had a gold medal and chain around his neck. (Joseph was an Old Testament type of the Man-child, Jesus. He is dressed in blue representing the works of Christ in the Man-child.) (Joe Brits: The Man-Child has finished or completed his race or his training (and won to be the first fruits). He is ready for his part that he must play in the tribulation. Gen 41:41-42  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 42 And Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck).  Joe was speaking in future, past and present tenses all at the same time, saying “I am training for the race, I've just finished the race. I've run the race. I am running the race. I will run the race”. (Joe Brits: Heb 13:8  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and to-day, yea and for ever). (Riaan: We live looking forward in faith (future), in the present through the trial, while looking at what happened on the cross in the past as a done deal!)(The Man-child runs the race seeing the end from the beginning by faith. 1 Co. 9:24-27 Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? (The one is Jesus and those who abide in Him through faith.) Even so run; that ye may attain. 25 And every man that striveth in the games exerciseth self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so fight I, as not beating the air: 27 but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.) I thought, “Mmm, me too. I am also training for the race. I wonder if he uses a treadmill? (The Bride will understand by the witness of the Man-child that the race must be won through faith.) (Joe Brits: None of the training was self-works. The race must be run with patience with ourselves and in our faith for the promises to manifest.)(Heb 12:1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.)   I thought “I wonder how long he's been training?” (It depends on how consistently we repent and act on our faith.)  I thought, “I wonder if we've entered the same race?” (The end result is the same; Christlikeness, but we are running for different offices, like Man-child and Bride.)(Joe Brits: Some have been running this race longer than others but it doesn't matter, for we are not racing against each other (but to be ready in time). 1 Co 9:24  Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain. The "one" here is those who abide in the "One" Jesus Christ who IS the Word. Jesus will finish the race and all in Him will, too. The prizes are many: eternal life, a work or ministry, fruit, the high calling of the Man-child or the Bride, etc https://www.ubm1.org/?page=running Running the Race with Patience - UBM [David Eells] Setting the Eagle Free Bill Steenland - 05/04/2014 (David's notes in red) I dreamed I was watching a cloud unfold in Heaven.{Heb.12:1} Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses (of the faith-filled people mentioned in chapter 11), lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set ... www.ubm1.org ). Because he had the medal around his neck, I assumed he'd already completed it, and I thought “His age category must have gone first”. (The Man-child must mature first in order to train the Bride and these people are foreknown from before the foundation of the earth.). I woke up and forgot about the dream. Then I was just starting to read this portion of my Bible when I remembered it: Lev 2:4-5: “And when thou offerest an oblation of a meal-offering baken in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. And if thy oblation be a meal-offering of the baking-pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil. As an oblation of first-fruits ye shall offer them unto Jehovah: but they shall not come up for a sweet savor on the altar. And every oblation of thy meal-offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meal-offering: with all thine oblations thou shalt offer salt. And if thou offer a meal-offering of first-fruits unto Jehovah, thou shalt offer for the meal-offering of thy first-fruits grain in the ear parched with fire, bruised grain of the fresh ear. And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense thereon: it is a meal-offering. And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the bruised grain thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.” (Our meal must be the unleavened bread of the Word so that we are unleavened. It must be seasoned with salt or purified when we speak it. Col 4:6  Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.)   Abiding in Heavenly Places Alenna Timoshchuk - 12/17/21 (David's notes in red) I dreamt that my husband David went to visit David Eells and Michael, but instead of visiting them where they lived now, he actually was visiting them in heaven. (Representing the first fruits Man-child ministers living in "heavenly places in Christ".) None of them were dead, they were still alive on this earth but it was like there was a lower part of heaven that was open to those who abide in Christ and they could visit it, even though they were still alive on earth. (The first fruits come into perfection through Christ first by abiding with him in heavenly places.) I got to see a bit of it as if I was looking through my husband's eyes and it looked like it was just above all the mountain peaks. (Looking through our husband's eyes represents seeing the way our heavenly husband Jesus sees. The Bride has the eyes of a dove, representing the Holy Spirit, just as her husband Jesus does. Song 4:1 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; Thine eyes are as doves behind thy veil. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, That lie along the side of mount Gilead. And Song 5:12 His eyes are like doves beside the water-brooks, Washed with milk, and fitly set.)  It had beautiful pine trees and rivers and Michael and David lived in a beautiful large log cabin, a really fancy one. (For anyone who loves the outdoors and appreciates nature, this would be their dream place. Just the prettiest scenery you could ever imagine.) (I was shown in a vision years ago a tower of logs that represented the UBM ministry that the Lord was giving me. This log cabin represents the UBM ministry living the crucified life, represented by the cross timbers at the corners.)  My husband stayed with them for three days then came back to me and was just so excited telling me all about it. He was saying how Michael (Meaning, “Who is like God”) held a staff in his hand and if someone wanted to enter that part of heaven, then he'd hold it out and if the color turned red, then the person could not enter because they weren't abiding in Christ, but if it turned green, then they could go in. He told me how relieved he was when the staff turned green and not red and started telling me about how wonderful and beautiful everything was up there. (The first fruits have very good discernment; the discernment of Jesus, and the wicked don't ever get past them. 2 Co. 10:6 and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience shall be made full.) Then he pulled out a branch from a pine tree and gave it to me. It had the most beautiful aroma. I thought it was so sweet that he brought me a souvenir from heaven. (Pine trees are evergreens and they represent everlasting life. Jesus is the Father of Eternity and the Branch. This is the gift or souvenir that Jesus has brought back to us with His resurrection. Isa. 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father (Hebrew: Father of Eternity), Prince of Peace.) Then I told him, “I want to go so badly. I want to be in heaven.” And he smiled and hugged me and said, “Let's go for your birthday on March 6th. (3/6 or 3+6=9. 9 was the hour that Jesus died on the cross and there are 9 fruits of the Spirit for those who have died to self. And, as in the natural, those who die get to go to heaven.  Our birthday begins when we begin to die to our flesh by living the crucified life then we begin to bear the fruits of the Spirit of God as He makes us a new creature in Christ.)  Then he said, “Maybe then we can stay there for a month.” (30 days? Jesus was 30, as the Law states, when He began his ministry.) I was so excited! I knew it would be the best birthday I've ever had but I worried a little that we wouldn't have enough money to not work for an entire month. (God will always make provision when He holds the green staff because we walk by faith to follow in His footsteps.) Then I woke up.   Manifesting Perfection Through Christ David Eells Father, I ask You to reach out and touch the brethren who are hearing this today and just show forth Your mercy and Your grace upon them. Lord, let Your Scriptures touch their hearts. Bring it to their remembrance some time when they're in need. Give them a hunger to walk in the precious things that You're offering, Lord. Thank You, Father. Thank You for working all things together for our good. And Lord, we want to walk in that perfection that we've been talking about. We know that Jesus has already suffered and died in order to give us that freely; and Lord, we praise You, that You're going to finish the great work You've started in us. Thank You so much, Lord.  We have discovered that the life of Christ is actually the glory of God, and that what God is seeking is that glory manifested in us. That's what He calls “fruit” and that's what He calls “sonship.” And that's what He calls “perfection.” (Col.3:4) When Christ, [who is] our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory. “Manifested” is a really good term because it doesn't give the meaning of a physical appearance. The meaning of “manifested” here is “to cause to shine; to make visible.” Obviously, the life of Christ is being birthed in us, but it's not yet all visible to the world around us. Similar to bringing forth a child, there's a time when the fruit is visible and seen.  The fruit we want, of course, is the fruit of Christ. It says, “When Christ, [who is] our life, shall be made visible, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.” We found that this glory is the shining forth of the righteousness and the purity and the truth of Christ.  I would like to go a little deeper because I know you have some questions about growing from glory to glory. (2Co.3:18) But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. That glory is the life of Christ. It is imputed to us by walking in obedience to the Word of God and it becomes an actual part of our life, our nature and our thoughts. But, we grow from “glory to glory”. Let's study those glories just a little bit to see what they are and how to progress.  We know that as we behold the glory of the Lord, we're transformed into that same image from glory to glory, but the Word speaks about getting a greater and greater revelation of the Lord in the mirror that's slightly different. (1Co.13:10) But when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. That perfection is the fruit; it is the glory of God; it is sonship.  (11) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things. He's talking here about coming to perfection, coming to maturity. It's the same word being used: “completion.” (12) For now we see in a mirror, darkly…. We understand from 2 Corinthians 3:18 that we see Jesus in a mirror and we're transformed into that same image from glory to glory, but we don't start out seeing the clear image of Jesus. We see Him somewhat and as we grow in knowledge and understanding of the Word, we come into more of a revelation of Who He really is.  Many of us have known a false Jesus, a Jesus who's not the real Jesus. We've had an immature idea of what Jesus is like. But as we discover His Will, His desire, His power and His nature in the Word, we come into a greater revelation. The word “darkly,” here, in the Greek is, “in a riddle,” and a riddle is something in which the truth is hidden. The Bible is that way. (Pro.25:2) It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. He has hidden the face of Christ in the Word for those who really, truly desire to come into the revelation of Who He is. To walk in that and to see Him in the mirror is a progressive thing.  So he says, (1Co.13:12) For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face. He's talking about “when that which is perfect is come.” You see, the closer we get to the end, the more we see the true image of Jesus. We come to know Him as He is, as we become more and more familiar with His Word, which is His nature, and He is the Word. (12) For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known. In other words, “when that which is perfect is come.” Knowing in part is seeing dimly, darkly in the mirror, in a riddle in the mirror, but knowing fully is coming to know the true Jesus so we can come into that image.  You need to come to know Him because when you look in the mirror, that's your gift. You're reaching out in your faith to receive all that He is because He made reconciliation for you; He made an exchange for you. It goes on to say, (13) But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three: and the greatest of these is love. So we're growing in this glory-to-glory revelation and we're growing in the revelation of Who Jesus Christ is.  I'd like to point out to you the stages of glory in Christian growth: (1Co.15:35) But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what manner of body do they come? (36) Thou foolish one, that which thou thyself sowest is not quickened except it die (so we're talking about the kinds of bodies that Christians are going to have): (37) and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other kind; (38) but God giveth it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own. (39) All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one [flesh] of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fishes.  What point is God making? He's speaking of the difference in the earthly flesh that all creatures have. So, also in the resurrected body there will be a difference. (40) There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial is another. We are sown a terrestrial, or earthly body, but will come forth a celestial, or heavenly body; that is, of course, a much higher creation than this one.  But now he tells us a secret, one that many people don't know: (41) There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory. (42) So also is the resurrection of the dead... Did you catch that? There are different glories: star, moon and sun (Son) glory – and even the stars have a different glory one from another. “So also is the resurrection of the dead.” In other words, not everybody is going to have the same body because they're not going to have the glory when they're finished here. And I'm going to prove that to you:  (1Co.15:42) … It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: (43) it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: (44) it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. (Remember what we saw, that the spiritual bodies are different.) If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual [body]. (45) So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam [became] a life-giving spirit. (46) Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual. (47) The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven. (48) As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. (49) And as we have borne the image of the earthy, let us (Numeric) also bear the image of the heavenly. That's what it says in the original, in the Numeric, and in the ancient manuscripts. It doesn't say, “we shall.” Many like “we shall” because it doesn't give them any responsibility now, but it says, “let us also bear the image of the heavenly.”  Where are we to bear the image of the heavenly? In the hereafter? No! We start right here! God starts that in us, first spirit, then soul and then, ultimately, body. We saw that sonship starts first in your spirit which is the born again Spirit of Christ. Then, through your obedience to the Spirit, your soul is begotten (or born again) through the living Word of God and, then, ultimately, if you've borne fruit there, you receive that new body.  He's commanding us, “let us also bear the image of the heavenly.” So how do we do that? Well, this glorious body that we receive – the star, moon and sun glory body, are all given because of the star, moon and sun glory life. That shows a difference of reward and the Bible teaches that.  Here is a good example of God using these different glories as types of bodies of people on the earth. The following passage deals with a dream that Joseph had, after he had the dream of the sheaves of his brethren bowing down to his sheaf: (Gen.37:9) And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed yet a dream; and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to me. (10) And he told it to his father, and to his brethren; and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? (11) And his brethren envied him; but his father kept the saying in mind. He thought, “Maybe there's something spiritual here; maybe there's something I'm not really enlightened about.”  But look at what God likened His people to. Joseph was likened to one of the stars, who had been separated from his brethren for the purpose of reigning. And God is doing that now, brethren. He is raising up a man-child ministry. Notice that all of God's people are stars, but there is one that is called “the moon,” which is the mother, in this case.  In Revelation 12, the mother's position was standing on the moon. That's her position in God – standing upon the moon – and she brought forth the Man-child, who, in this case, was Joseph, as a type of the Man-child. Of course, the father here was the “sun.” Jesus is called the “Father of Eternity” because He is the one Who sows the seed in us that brings forth the fruit of Himself. We see here that God is using the sun, moon and star glories as types, or groups, of His people.  Let's look first at what these stars may represent. We can see that God said this to Abraham a couple of times: (Gen.22:17) That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the sea-shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies. So here we are the seed of Abraham, who is the father of us all. The Bible calls us “stars.” We all start out our spiritual life as star glory, but we don't end up that way – thank God.  In meditating on this, the Lord has shown me some things about glory and one is that it represents righteousness. It represents the percentage of the life of Christ in us. If you start out as star glory, for instance, when you are first born-again, you have a glory. All stars have their own glory. This comes into the parable more and more as we look at moon and sun glory, in comparison. In a way, the stars are separate one from another, but they have their own glory; they have their own righteousness. Every star has a percentage of the righteousness of the Lord because, as we're born again, we get a new spirit – a born-again spirit from God. That spirit is full of the glory of God.  We had a fallen spirit and now, suddenly, we have a born-again spirit. It's called the Spirit of Christ in Romans chapter eight. But even though we have the righteousness of God, we have self-righteousness, as well, and it's what keeps us apart, like the stars are separated. If you consider Christ to be the sun, they are seated with Christ in the heavenlies, and that's good, but they are separated from one another. Here's a different example that tells us about the stars: (Dan.12:3) And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. There's a great revival coming in these end times. Many people who have had no glory whatsoever are going to suddenly walk in the glory of God in a percentage and star glory represents the 30-fold percentage.  There are three bearings of fruit, according to the Parable of the Sower: 30-, 60- and 100-fold. These were the ones who entered the Kingdom. So, star glory is the beginning and it represents 30-fold fruit. Many will be turned “to righteousness as the stars,” the Bible says.  After star glory, we have another stage into which we have to grow. Again, what the Lord showed me was that the stars were separate one from another and they have their own glory. This, in a way, separates them because glory is righteousness. We have some self-righteousness and we have some God-righteousness. That self-righteousness keeps us from becoming one with our brethren.  The next stage we grow into is moon glory and here is a really good demonstration of moon glory: (Rom.6:3) Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? (4) We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. (5) For if we have become united with [him] in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of his resurrection. We have to become united with Him in the likeness of His death to reach moon glory. The moon is dead. It doesn't have any righteousness of its own, but reflects only the sun. It has given up its own righteousness to reflect only the righteousness of the sun. That's all the moon can do because it's dead. But, it's also “one.”  Many stars are separate because of their own glory, as we have seen. Denominations are separate from one another because of self-righteousness. People separate from one another, due to self-righteousness, because they're immature and factious, dividing into and denominating from one another. Jesus prayed, “that they may be one, even as we [are] one” (Joh.17:22). But instead, because of their self-righteousness, they are proud, they resist the Word of God and they fight against their brethren. Through death to self we become united with one another. This is the second stage or 60-fold fruit; this is moon glory. Like the moon, it says we become united with Him in the likeness of His death. We also shall be united with Him in His resurrection. That is sun glory and, as we walk through the phase of death-to-self, we come to the resurrection life that is 100-fold sun glory. That's completion; that's perfection; that's sonship that we're talking about. We're already sons of God by faith, but we're walking into it through the death, burial and resurrection that these three glories represent. (Rom.6:6) Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin.  Death to that old man – death to the old self – that's how we come into the resurrection life of Christ. We have no light of our own, but reflect only that light which comes from Him.  I'd like to go a little deeper now into a very plain revelation of the moon glory that I've already mentioned: (Rev.12:1) And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. Everything is represented here: the sun, the moon and the stars. This woman gives birth to the Man-child, the “first fruits” they are called in Revelation 14. The Man-child ministry that's coming forth is the first fruits of those who come into sun glory. It's by grace; it's by His calling and by His direction, and it's going to come to pass.  The woman here is the corporate mother of this corporate Man-child. The 12 stars around her head are her children and it also represents the doctrine of the 12 apostles in her mind. There are lots of things you could see there that might all be correct because God is big and He can hide an awful lot of things in a revelation. Obviously, moon glory is not yet perfect, nor is star glory, and God tells us so in Job. Neither of these are quite clean in His eyes, nor quite finished in His eyes. (Job 25:5) Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his sight.  God's looking for something greater than moon glory and greater than star glory. He's looking for the resurrection life of Christ in us, which is the most brilliant glory. He goes on to say, (6) How much less man, that is a worm! And the son of man, that is a worm! God looks on lost man as a creature of the dirt, of the earth, as nothing more than a worm.  Obviously, this dirt is made to bring forth the Lord Jesus Christ. That's its purpose and without that we're not fulfilling the Will of God. We're growing and the people of God will grow through this process, especially in the days to come, from star glory to moon glory to sun glory.  Isaiah has a really good revelation of this growth that's going to come to pass in the Tribulation to come: (Isa.30:26) Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun… (Praise God! Those who go through this death to self will come into resurrection life, which is what we just read in Romans 6.) (26) Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days…. Well, here's a revelation! “Seven-fold” here means that God is going to bring forth fruit out of all the Church – all seven churches. He's going to bring forth a fruit out of them that will come into the image of Jesus Christ.  Not all will come into the sun glory, but it will be spread throughout the Church; hence, seven-fold. Also, it will be as the light of seven days, meaning the Tribulation period. The time that the Bible calls the Tribulation period is the time of the most growth for God's people because they're going through their “wilderness” experience. They're learning to give up themselves, learning to come into a faith relationship with God in the wilderness. Spiritual growth shall be extremely fast at that time because of the great Latter Rain outpouring, which comes on the morning of the “third day,” as Hosea said. (Isa.30:26) Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the hurt of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. God is going to heal His people; He's going to bind up what was broken. Remember the  anointing of Jesus shown in (Isaiah 61:1) … He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening [of the prison] to them that are bound. God is going to restore His people who are walking as lame and blind. God is going to restore all that in these days. He called it the Latter Rain. He said that it would be restoration of all the things that the palmer-worm, the locust, the canker-worm and the caterpillar had taken from His crop for all these years in (Joel 1:4). This is the greatest promise of God that's going to come forth in these days.  How is this growth going to take effect? Here's what Paul says: (Php.3:9) And be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own (Notice, He's not going to settle for star glory, which separates him from his brethren), [even] that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.  This glory, which is righteousness shining forth from us, is coming because of our faith in God, not because of our works or our ability. (10) That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection (that's the sun glory), and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death. That's the unity that God is going to bring His people to through death. This wilderness is a death experience, in order to bring God's people into His presence. This unity is going to be the moon glory which brings us to the resurrection life. What is that resurrection life? (11) If by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead. (12) Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect (this is what the resurrection life is – perfection; it is the sun glory): but I press on, if so be that I may lay hold on that for which also I was laid hold on by Christ Jesus. Well, how did He lay hold on us? (Heb.10:14) For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. He perfected us. Now we're seeing perfection as resurrection life and are being seen as the sun glory people who are going to enter into this. The sun glory is the next stage that I'd like to look at: (2Pe.1:19) And we have the word of prophecy [made] more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place…. When you're in your star glory, the dark place is your soul because it's the next part of you that needs to be sanctified. God gives us a new spirit first, so we have a power, a connection, a discernment and an ability to walk with Him. The next stage is having your soul born again through your obedience to the truth, which is what Peter said: (1Pe.1:22) Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth (in other words, when you obey your spirit, your soul will be born again) unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently: (23) having been begotten again (or born again), not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth. “Whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place.”  (Pro.20:27) The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all his innermost parts. The brightest part of you, the most connected-with-God part of you, is your spirit and your soul needs to take on the life of that spirit. So, your lamp, your spirit, is shining forth with the oil, the light of the Spirit of God into your soul to regenerate your soul. And, what does Peter say? (2Pe.1:19) And we have the word of prophecy [made] more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts.  What is this lamp? Pro 20:27  The spirit of man is the lamp of Jehovah, Searching all his innermost parts. It is searching the soul. “Day star” comes from the word “phosphoros", meaning “light-bearing.” The archaic meaning of “day star” was “the sun,” so when we're talking about the day star arising in your heart, we're talking about sun glory being manifested in you.  There was an occultic reason for it, but in latter times, people began to call Venus the “light-bearer.” That's ridiculous. Get up in the morning and see if you see Venus. Are you looking for Venus or do you see the light-bearer, the sun? So we have a little bit of evidence here and, also, we have the words “morning star.” (Rev.22:16) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright, the morning star. The Lord is our bright and morning star, so that's another meaning for the glory of the sun/Son. “Until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts.”  So, we have an end and a purpose. (Pro.4:18) But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The dawning light brings you into the perfect light. What is the perfect light? It's not the evening; it's the midday. We have more and more of the light in our life and less and less shadow. The least shadow is at the “perfect day,” when the sun is straight up overhead. That's our life, when we're walking in nothing but the light of God's Word – this “word of prophecy [made] more sure” – the Word which was given to beget our soul unto Him.  We are called to manifest Christ in spirit and soul, while we walk in this body. Those are stages while we walk in this body. We're putting on Christ, putting on this bright garment. Are we talking about a garment for the flesh? No, we're talking about a garment for the soul. (Rom.13:11) And this, knowing the season, that already it is time for you to awake out of sleep: for now is salvation nearer to us than when we [first] believed. (12) The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness….  What are our works? Well, faith without works is dead; it's incomplete. The fruit of faith is works. The fruit of the spirit – the love, joy, peace, longsuffering – these are works, but they are the works that are birthed from your spirit. That's why they're called the fruit of the Spirit and they're birthed by everyone who walks by faith, so works are the fruit of faith. Don't tell me that you have faith and don't have works. James said, “I by my works will show thee [my] faith.” (Jas.2:18).  Again, we're not talking about the works of man or the works of the Law; I'm talking about the works of God through you. If you walk by faith, you will have the works of God. (Rom.13:12) The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Notice that as you put on the works of light, you're casting off the works of darkness, which is a garment. You're taking off one garment and putting on another called the armor of light. It's not only the works of light, it's the armor of light because the armor of light is a protection against the enemy that wants to drag us down. (Rom.13:13) Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy. (14) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ….  So we put on the armor of light and we put on the salvation he's talking about, which is Jesus Christ. If you put on the works of the devil, you're putting on the works of darkness. (14) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof]. So we're putting on a garment, the Bible calls it, and we're warned that God doesn't want that garment to be polluted or stained. (Jud.1:23) And some save, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. So you can have the works of darkness on your clean garment and you are to hate the works of darkness. We are to turn away from them, cast them down, cast off that garment and put on the garment that the Lord has commanded us to wear. That's what sanctification is, that's what perfection is and that's what putting on the works of Christ is. We need to constantly be putting on the works of Christ, as we read the Word of God.  We know that there are stages of perfection, even at the end. (Rev.19:7) Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and let us give the glory unto him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. Notice that it says, “herself.” You know, we have the authority of God to do this. (Rom.8:13) [F]or if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live. You have to take the authority of God and the power of God's Spirit to do this. If you don't cooperate, it won't be done, so it is up to you to do what God has given you to do. He's given you the authority.  (Rev.19:8) And it was given unto her that she should array herself in fine linen, bright (the word here is lampros: radiant) [and] pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. We're putting on the garment of light in the spirit realm. Notice that those who are bidden (meaning invited) to the marriage supper don't have the same garment. The Bride has this lampros garment. There is a difference between the Bride and the virgins, and between the Bride and those bidden to the marriage supper. (Rev.19:9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they that are bidden to the marriage supper of the Lamb.  You don't invite the Bride, obviously. She's one of the ones doing the inviting, but there are people who will come to the marriage feast and won't be in the Bride. The Scripture teaches that very plainly. The virgins are not a part of the Bride, contrary to popular thinking. But these people are also riding white horses to finish off the enemies of God. (14) And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white [and] pure. There's the “fine linen” again, except this time, the word is “white,” which is leukos, not lampros: which is "brilliant.” It doesn't have the glory of the lampros garment. That glory is radiant and this is simply leukos or white.  They're invited but they're not the Bride. The Bride is the sun glory and God's plan is that He has given to us everything that we need to enter into sun glory. Many don't cooperate; many don't accept the faith or the knowledge that's been given unto them. They run after idols and don't have time for God or for His Word to renew their mind and so they come up short.  Since we're seeing that works have everything to do with star, moon and sun glory, there is a difference in reward, as we read in 1 Corinthians 15. We see it also, here: (2Co.4:17) For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory. The glory is what we're talking about – this brilliance, this brightness, this sun glory that we're coming into.  The tribulations that we go through are to bring us into His glory while we cooperate with Him. God will send plenty of people to help us by putting us on our cross. We go through suffering for the purpose of Christ's life being manifested in us. We need to cooperate with Him in it because this more “eternal weight of glory” only works while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (18). In other words, we “calleth the things that are not, as though they were” (Rom.4:17). We look in the mirror and we see Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18).  We accept our sun (Son) glory from the very beginning. Christ is the One Who lives in us and that's why we can look in the mirror and see Jesus. (Gal.2:20) I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me…. That's faith; that's looking “not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.” This we must do because it is faith that brings about this manifestation.  In (2Co.5:1) For we know that if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens. Now he's going to tell a secret here: (2) For verily in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon (there's this clothing again) with our habitation which is from heaven. Did you know that God is doing that now? It is the glory of God in which we're dressing up in the life of Christ first spirit, then soul, then body. (3) If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. When your body dies, if you don't have this glory, you will be found naked. (4) For indeed we that are in this tabernacle (meaning this fleshly body here) do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed (in other words, we're not desiring to physically die here), but that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life. So he's saying, “Not that we would lose this body, but that we would be clothed upon while we have this body.”  That's contrary to a lot of people's theology, but it's very plain here. He's saying, “It's not that we're looking for this body to pass away; we're looking for this glory before we lose this body.” Notice, “that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life.” That life has to swallow you up. (5) Now he that wrought us for this very thing is God, who gave unto us the earnest of the Spirit. (6) Being therefore always of good courage, and knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. … (10) For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things [done] in the body, according to what he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.  The judgment seat is the bema seat and it means “footprint tribunal.” You are going to be judged by how closely you walked in the footprints of Christ. John says the same thing: (1Jn.2:6) he that sayeth he abideth in him ought himself also to walk even as he walked. We will all have to go to the footprint tribunal of Christ.  Now I'm going to show you something about 2 Corinthians 5:10 from the Numerics. This will prove what the original words were, because the translator's understanding has gotten in here. God put a perfect pattern in every Greek word in the New Testament so we'd know that. In the Numerics, it says, “That each may receive through the body according to what he hath done, whether good or bad,” meaning your works, coming right back around full circle here. Your works are going to determine what kind of body you're going to get because your works determine what glory you are walking in. Your works determine how much of the glory of God you are walking in, whether you are star, moon or sun glory. Notice it says, “what he hath done, whether good or bad,” and that's going to determine what kind of body you get.  We see that there is a star glory body, a moon glory body and a sun glory body. We've seen what it takes to go from star glory to sun glory. And now we're seeing that our works are our fruit and our faith, and this is what everyone is going to be judged by. You know that everyone is going to be judged by their works. Nowhere does it say that He is going to judge your faith. In every instance, He says you're going to be judged by your works: (Rev.2:23) And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he that searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto each one of you according to your works. Jesus said He would render to every man according to his works. (Matthew 16:27; Proverbs 24:12).  Always, everywhere, it says that God is going to render unto you according to your works. Look at the Parable of the Servants and the talents that were given to them. Their judgment was according to their works. Look at the cities that people are going to rule over. Again, it is according to their works.  Now, who is it that ends up not bearing fruit? They that allow their garment that was given unto them in the beginning to be stained, meaning they are walking in sin. What's going to happen to these people? And who are these people? I'll point out one thing to you: (Rev.6:12) And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood. (That is the persecution and death of the saints.) (13) And the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth…. If one star fell to the earth, there wouldn't be an earth, so this is not talking about a physical star falling to the earth. It is talking about those who are seated with Christ in heavenly places, the seed of Abraham. This is meant to be a parable and you destroy it if you make it natural. (13) And the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a fig tree (representing God's people) casteth her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great wind.  This is the fruit that God expects the fig tree to bear. Remember why Jesus said in parable to Give it one more year, Father, and then cut it down if it doesn't bear fruit.  Well, here it is, being cut down. Some people say, “That's the angels.” No, it's not the angels. It's the unripe fruit of God's people. It is God's stars who have not progressed, nor even held their own. The servant with the one talent hid his talent in the earth. He didn't bear any fruit and he didn't even save what he had. But look at what Revelation says about the dragon that's waiting before the woman: (Rev.12:4) And his tail draweth the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon standeth before the woman that is about to be delivered…. This is talking about the seed of God's people, the seed of Abraham, who lose their position of being seated with Christ in the heavenlies. This is their reprobation. He said He was going to spew the lukewarm out of His mouth and what He means is out of the body of Christ.  Those who do not bear fruit to walk in the glory of God, to walk in progressive manifestation of sonship, to walk by faith so that their faith is accounted as righteousness; these people are ultimately going to fall away and go through the great and terrible day of the Lord at the end of the tribulation. They will go through the flood and they will be destroyed. So we see that we have a certain amount of time, each one of us, in order to bear the fruit, in order to walk in the steps of Jesus, and that when we are called before the bema seat, the footprint tribunal, we will receive through the body according to what we have done, whether good or bad. What does “through the body” mean? How is God going to reward us through the body? He is going to give us a body accordingly and suiting the work that we have done on the earth. We desire earnestly that His fruit be in us, so that we be sun glory, which is 100-fold. Some people say, “Oh, that's not possible.” Well, it's not up to us; it's up to God. He's the One Who fulfills it for all those who walk by faith. (2Co.4:18) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.  So we are looking at the eternal life of Christ, which was given unto us at the cross. We don't live anymore; He lives in us. That's sun glory. Accept this free gift. Walk in it and God will empower you. He will bring it to pass and you can trust in Him. Glory be to God! Keep your faith and your eyes upon Him and He will bring it to pass. God bless you, saints.     Select Language Afrikaans Albanian Amharic Arabic Armenian Azerbaijani Basque Belarusian Bengali Bosnian Bulgarian Catalan Cebuano Chichewa Chinese (Simplified) Chinese (Traditional) Corsican Croatian Czech Danish Dutch Esperanto Estonian Filipino Finnish French Frisian Galician Georgian German Greek Gujarati Haitian Creole Hausa Hawaiian Hebrew Hindi Hmong Hungarian Icelandic Igbo Indonesian Irish Italian Japanese Javanese Kannada Kazakh Khmer Kinyarwanda Korean Kurdish (Kurmanji) Kyrgyz Lao Latin Latvian Lithuanian Luxembourgish Macedonian Malagasy Malay Malayalam Maltese Maori Marathi Mongolian Myanmar (Burmese) Nepali Norwegian Odia (Oriya) Pashto Persian Polish Portuguese Punjabi Romanian Russian Samoan Scots Gaelic Serbian Sesotho Shona Sindhi Sinhala Slovak Slovenian Somali Spanish Sundanese Swahili Swedish Tajik Tamil Tatar Telugu Thai Turkish Turkmen Ukrainian Urdu Uyghur Uzbek Vietnamese Welsh Xhosa Yiddish Yoruba Zulu Powered by Translate Printer-friendly version

Pastor John Ryan Cantu brings this week's message, “Be Led." Key Verses:       Galatians 5:1-25 ESV "For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you. I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion is not from him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view, and the one who is troubling you will bear the penalty, whoever he is. But if I, brothers, still preach circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed. I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves! For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit."James 1:14-15 ESV "But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death."Matthew 7:16-20 ESV "You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits."

Be Born of the SpiritJohn 3:3 (NLT) – “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”John 3:5-8 (NLT) – “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. 6 Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. 7 So don't be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can't tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can't explain how people are born of the Spirit.”John 3:16-17 (NLT) – “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”Romans 3:22 (NLT) – We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.Titus 3:4 (NLT) – But—When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, 5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.Be Filled with the SpiritMatthew 3:11 (NLT) – “I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I'm not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.”Acts 2:1-4 (NIV) – When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.Acts 2:14-17 (NIV) – Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.Acts 2:36-39 (NLT) – “So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!” 37 Peter's words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God [SALVATION], and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins [WATER BAPTISM]. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit [SPIRIT BAPTISM]. 39 This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.”Acts 1:4-5 (NLT) – Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. 5 John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”Acts 2:39 (NLT) – This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.”Be Led by the SpiritRomans 8:14 (NLT) – For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.Galatians 5:16 (NLT) – So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves.

In Franchise Secrets, Episode 37, I bring in Jason Redman, to discuss leadership. Jason Redman is a former Navy Seal, who has written two books. One called Overcome and the other called The Trident. Both books inform the truths on life ambushes and how to overcome adversity.  Jason has also ventured into and has experience in the business owning industry. Leadership is a key component in being a franchise owner. Jason gives us excellent insight on leadership when it comes to family, military, business and other real-life instances. Listening to Jason’s stories and hearing his philosophies has really put leadership into a new perspective. Jason shares with us how his leadership skills were not always the way they are today, that he learned through experience, as well as trial and error.    Outline of This Episode:  (02:01) Leadership is a Never Ending Journey  (08:56) Lessons Learned About Leadership Through Jason’s Experiences   (19:53) The Three Rules of Leadership  (33:36) Hard days Versus Life Ambushes   (34:49) The Pentagon of Peak Performance   (35:43) How Perspective Delivers Ability to Leaders  (38:50) The React Methodology   (45:26) How to go From Being a Leader to Being Led  (48:32) The Pyramid of Change and How it is Critical to Leaders  (51:17) Leaders at The 1% Level    Lessons About Leadership   I am excited to bring on experienced Navy Seal and book author, Jason Redman to episode 37 of Franchise Secrets. Jason is the author of Overcome as well as The Trident. While talking with Jason, he shared some very valuable lessons that he learned on leadership through his experience as a Navy Seal and business owner. Jason was not always an ideal leader, he struggled through ups and downs before tackling the achievement of being an ideal leader. He shares with us some unreal truths about his experience in the battle against Afghanistan and Al Qaeda. As well as his past mistakes with being a leader and how it has helped to mold him into the leader he is today.  The Three Rules, The Pentagon of Peak Performance, The Pyramid of Change and The React Method  Jason has a few philosophies that can help one achieve great leadership. One of these being, The Three Rules of Leadership. These rules consist of one, lead yourself. The second rule being, to lead others. The third rule is to always lead. Jason dives deeper into these rules in our episode.   The Pentagon of Peak Performance consists of five key areas, physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual leadership.   The Pyramid of Change is taught through one of Jason’s books and is critical because it helps to break down the different levels of leadership and how each one will result in a different amount of success.   The React Method is broken down for leaders to understand the important that comes with recognition, evaluation, assessing, choosing and communication and taking action.  Perspective Changes Leadership  Perspective plays a role in our everyday lives and being able to fully understand what is going on around us. Just like in our everyday lives, perspective is important when it comes to leadership. Perspective allows us to see all sides to something, allows us to relate, understand and learn. These are all things that can make or break one as a leader. Let Jason tell you about how he was able to flip the switch on his perspective and the difference it brought to him.  How to Be A Leader and Be Led  Most find that when they are the leader, they are in charge. It is hard to be a leader and still have the ability to be led by others. However, everyone needs leading sometimes to be successful. I asked Jason about his obstacles when it came to being able to balance both being a leader and being led. Even with all of Jason’s experience, knowledge and success in the business world, he is able to provide us with the importance that comes with letting your leader walls down and allowing others to take the lead. Jason shares extraordinary stories relating to leadership through family, friends, military and the business world.   Resources & People Mentioned Overcome book Trident Book Connect With Jason Website Facebook LinkedIn Connect With Erik Facebook LinkedIn Medium Franchise Secrets Website

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. - Galatians 5:16-17(NLT) Read Transcript: Responding to God’s Spirit – Be Led on PastorPriji.com Become a monthly partner towards revival in Africa: Donate Here
