Nathan Herne bounced back from a shocking previous round at Sydney Motorsport Park bounced back to snatch back the lead of the 2022 Trans Am Australia Championship and sweep all three races last weekend at Queensland Raceway. We spoke to him after a big haul of points at QR, got his thoughts on S5000, and got his thoughts on the controversy surrounding the GRM cars after the round.

It was another round of complete domination by Shane van Gisbergen at The Bend Motorsport Park as his Supercars Championship lead blows out to more than a round. After almost two years driving in Hyundai Excels, this weekend Jett Johnson makes his V8 racing debut when he jumps in a TA2 Ford Mustang at Queensland Raceway. We got Junior Johnson Jr. into the studio and got his thoughts on the upcoming weekend and where he'd like to take his racing career.

Zane Goddard made his main game debut last year with Matt Stone Racing as one half of the SuperLite entry sharing a car with Jake Kostecki. This season he makes his full time debut with the team and has already impressed some in the paddock and fans as well with some great qualifying at Tasmania and also topping the time sheets at the first pre-season practice at Queensland Raceway this February.

We start our tale on a very pleasant Thursday afternoon on the pitfall at Queensland Raceway with Marcus then move on to all sorts of hijinks with Jeza Inc and finish next to the Swallows Pub fireplace alongside The Foges, yet at each spot we wrestle with the finer points of motor sport and life whilst being obsequious to those around us. Will Mercedes Benz go to V8 Supercars and will Greg Normans racing double master the art of driving left hand stick shifts. Historic racing cars and overly potato flavoured flounder are high on our list of likes and dislikes. Never has there been such a geographically widespread tale told on Radio HOTLAP.
