Two-time Cy Young Award winner, Bret Saberhagen steps into The Batter's Box for Episode 67! Throughout a big-league career that spanned parts of 16 seasons from 1984-2001, Saberhagen authored a legacy as one of the great right-handed pitchers of his generation. He'd go onto retire as a three-time All-Star with a sparkling 3.34 lifetime ERA and 167 wins to his name. Saberhagen takes host Al Malafronte through not only some of his highlights on the field which included a no-hitter and World Series MVP performance for the Kansas City Royals, but also his love of the performing arts. While pitching here on Broadway for the New York Mets, Saberhagen caught his fair share of theatre and even took on a few acting gigs of his own in Married with Children and The Scout. A man of many talents, he even did some singing and dancing in the classic 'Saberhagen Shuffle,' which recently saw a second life right here in New York City on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Over the last ten years Huntleys & Palmers has developed a level of consistency which is difficult to contest. The record label, run by Andrew Thomson, has been responsible for excursions by some of the most influential forces in dance and electronic music in the present. Helena Hauff, Sophie, Hi & Saberhagen and Mehmet Aslan all owe a due of gratitude in some capacity to Andrew as a tastemaker and a believer. The label has acted as an incubator for up and coming talent and has remained a powerful foce amidst the community. As a disc jockey Andrew has been lucky to ride prominently upon the coat-tails of the label and is widely travelled. Appearances across Europe and beyond have allowed him to develop an innovative presence behind the wheels of steel with each mix forming a deeply singular path from which came before. A dj's, dj if you will.

Having cut his teeth as a DJ in the richly musical city of Bristol, Golesworthy founded his party Housework alongside Shanti Celeste, with Gramrcy and Daisy Moon joining later. A group who have taken their parties to various venues including the much loved and missed Motorcycle Showroom. Now based in London and co-running Groove Points, an infrequent party in Brixton alongside a monthly radio show on KMAH Radio, we're very happy to have Golesworthy back at Field Maneuvers this year.
