Actor and Hollywood stuntman Erik “All Day” Audé joins The Connect for one of the most intense stories ever told on the channel. In 2002, Erik was arrested in Pakistan after unknowingly being used as a drug mule and accused of attempting to smuggle narcotics through the airport. What followed was a nightmare: a death sentence, years inside one of Pakistan's most dangerous maximum-security prisons, brutal conditions, riots, violence, corruption, and the constant fear that he would be the next prisoner executed. Erik breaks down how he was deceived, what life on death row was really like, how he survived the prison system, and how he eventually fought his way back to freedom after proving his innocence. He also talks about his career as a stuntman, the importance of safety on film sets, and the lessons he learned from surviving the unimaginable. This is a story about betrayal, survival, faith, justice, and what it takes to keep fighting when the entire system is against you. Go Support Erik! In June 2002, fourteen-year-old Elizabeth Smart was taken from her bedroom at knifepoint and held captive for nine months, enduring abuse that would have broken most people beyond repair. Against extraordinary odds, she survived, and then she decided to step fully into the public eye; not in spite of what happened to her, but because of it. She has testified before Congress, helped author a Department of Justice handbook for kidnapping survivors, and founded the Elizabeth Smart Foundation to dismantle the shame culture that compounds survivors' trauma. In this powerful episode, Elizabeth walks us through the night that changed everything, how she held onto hope during nine months of captivity, what justice looked and felt like after nearly eight years of waiting, and why she believes that being seen is one of the most radical things a survivor can do. RETURNING HOME – Part 2 “Some Things Will Never Be The Same” Luke 15:17 “And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” There's a turning point in this story that doesn't get much attention, but it sure gets deep, that is the fact that “ he came to himself.” That moment didn't just change his direction… it changed him. It had to be his choice. There may have been some who tried to convince him to just go home, stop spending so much, they are not really your friends, they are just using you… But the only way to really Return Home, (and by that I mean return to the Lord), is to get to this point. The point where you realize your current position is because of the decisions you made. The son that left home and the son that started back home was not the same person.
What happens after we die? In this episode of The StickyBeak, we explore unconventional approaches to death, legacy, and memorials — beyond the traditional coffin or cremation.I speak with pioneers who are reimagining the end of life in ways that are surprising, thought-provoking, and sometimes beautiful:The People's Pyramid – a long-term art project and collective memorial founded by The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu (The KLF), turning death into living art.Return Home – a Washington-based funeral home offering natural organic reduction, also known as human composting, a sustainable alternative to cremation.Southern Cryonics – Australia's first and only cryonics facility, preserving bodies in Holbrook, NSW for future revival. From human composting to cryonics to collective art memorials, this episode is a curious, reflective, and sometimes surprising look at how humans are redefining death, remembrance, and legacy. If you've ever wondered about alternative funerals, futuristic memorials, or the ethics of preserving life beyond death, this episode offers a thoughtful exploration that will challenge the way you think about the end of life.A HUGE thank you to these legends for getting involved...Ru CallenderFounder of Green Funeral Company,One of the two official undertakers for The Pyramid People's Pyramid.WEBSITE: https://www.thepeoplespyramid.orgBrienna Smith Funeral Director at Return HomeINSTAGRAM: @returnhomenorWEBSITE: https://returnhome.com/Peter TsolakidesFounder of Southern CryonicsWEBSITE: https://www.sandbox.southerncryonics.com/
Hello, beautiful souls! Welcome back to the Angels & Awakening Podcast. I'm your host and author, Julie Jancis. Friends, Mary Rose Gutierrez is your guest host on the show today — and this episode is one of those that will quietly rearrange something inside of you. Mary Rose is a former psychiatric nurse of 15 years turned angel channeler, energy healer, and clinical hypnotherapist. She went through the Angel Reiki School, worked alongside me, and has since built a truly powerful body of work helping people find their way back to themselves. This episode is her framework — and it is so, so good. If you've been doing all the work — the meditations, the affirmations, the subconscious reprogramming — and still can't move the needle, this one is for you. In This Episode [00:00] Mary Rose's journey from psychiatric nursing to angel channeling — and what changed everything [04:35] Why doing "all the work" still doesn't shift things — and what's actually missing [09:10] The one question that will open this whole episode: What does your soul already know that you pretend you don't? [10:50] Step 1 — Find the loop: the repeating pattern hiding underneath every area of your life [15:55] Step 2 — Separate what you know from what you were taught to believe [20:28] Step 3 — The tolerance edit: what is your life actually saying about what you believe right now? [24:00] Step 4 — Intuition vs. fear: how fear disguises itself as wisdom, discernment, and "not being ready" [29:00] Step 5 — Build the muscle: the daily practice of returning home to yourself [33:57] The gap between where you are and where you want to be has nothing to do with your worthiness Connect with Maryrose: https://www.instagram.com/i.am.maryrose/ https://withmaryrose.com/

Madlik Podcast – Torah Thoughts on Judaism From a Post-Orthodox Jew
What if I told you that the most powerful way to read the Passover Haggadah... is to write your own? In this episode of Madlik, we explore a radical idea born on Israel's early kibbutzim in the 1920s and 30s: that Judaism isn't just inherited—it's authored. We're joined by Eran Yarkoni and Anton Marks of the Shittim Institute, who are traveling the U.S. with their exhibition Haggadah of Hope. Key Takeaways 1. The Haggadah Isn't a Book—It's a Framework The kibbutzim didn't treat the Haggadah as sacred text to preserve, but as a structure to fill. They understood something we often forget: the power of the Seder comes not from repeating the words—but from making them speak to your moment. 2. "Bechol Dor Vador" Is a Command to Create We've been taught to relive the Exodus. The kibbutzim took it one step further: we are obligated to rewrite it. Every generation doesn't just inherit the story—it adds a chapter. 3. Ritual Isn't Escapism—It's How We Process Reality From pioneers in the 1930s to displaced families after October 7, the Seder became a place to confront the present, not escape it. By writing their pain, loss, and hope into the Haggadah, these communities show that ritual, at its best, is not about the past—it's about making meaning in real time. The episode wraps with the always chaotic “Idiots With Idioms” segment, highlighting the week's funniest on-air flubs and mangled sayings from around the station.

"If you just trusted people a little bit more, you would have more time, you would have more energy, and you could return home to yourself." We live in a culture that rewards fixing, striving, and holding everything together, yet the truth is that many women are exhausted not from doing too little but from carrying too much that was never theirs to hold. In this episode, Heather explores what happens when the identity that once fueled your growth begins to limit your freedom, why trusting others can radically expand your time and energy, and how success, achievement, and emotional satisfaction are often operating on entirely different tracks. From energy hoarding and nervous system recalibration after change to the emotional discomfort of having standards, agency, and self-respect, this episode invites you to stop "shoulding," reclaim discernment, and return home to yourself, not as a destination, but as a daily practice of honesty, surrender, and intentional feeling. What to listen for: ✨ The addiction to "fixing" oneself and why energy management matters more ✨ Why most people aren't evolving fast enough to keep up with broader changes ✨ Learning how to communicate your value is a skill that more women need "It is incredibly emotionally uncomfortable for the average woman, let alone the average human, to have discernment, agency, enough self-respect, and high standards on how she lets other people treat her. It actually comes from an identity that you have outgrown." ✨ What really is the finish line for "success," or will the goal post keep moving? ✨ Why "shoulding" on ourselves doesn't help, and how to see it is data to work from ✨ How your life looks on the outside has nothing to do with life satisfaction "Your feelings and your goals are two different things, and identifying that alone can be a game-changer. More money and achievements aren't going to make you happy. It's so cliché what they say about 'enjoy the journey,' but that's it. How do you want to feel in every moment and every second of the day?" ✨ Why the identity that got you to where you are isn't serving you anymore ✨ The reason our nervous systems get stuck in a "weird" state after change ✨ Getting honest with yourself and surrendering to what's happening "Parenting feels heavier because you're holding something that's not yours to carry. You've become an energy hoarder, and you don't know how to declutter your energy." ✨ It's our job to become adults and acquire the skills that we want our kids to have ✨ Why we love to act like victims of our lives when the world feels unstable ✨ Control is caused by our lack of wanting to feel our feelings healthily *** For those of you who are ready to stop feeling drained, overextended, and out of alignment… join me for a one-on-one Time & Energy Audit, a focused session designed to help high-achieving women uncover what's draining them, clarify what truly matters, and create a simple plan that fits their life.
