Welcome to another episode of Inglourious Blue Balls: A Basterds Work Left Undone, the monthly series dedicated to exploring the gargantuan pile of unfulfilled project announcements, spewed from the mouth of Quentin Tarantino. Joining me on this daunting journey is my co-host, Friar Wheeler (Splatterhouse Podcast & Owner of Scare Flair Records). Next up on the docket is an announcement Tarantino made back in the late 90's about his desire to remake Lucio Fulci's 1977 giallo film, “The Psychic” aka: “Seven Notes in Black.” Listen to the Splatterhouse Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/38MSH4gnr6BU0uSrw3SuT7?si=bb155e1a67d5404b Follow the Splatterhouse Podcast on their Socials: Facebook: @Splatterhousepodcast Instagram: @the_splatterhouse_podcast Twitter: @SplatterPodcast Follow Scare Flair Records on their Socials: Facebook & Instagram: @scareflairrecords Website: www.scareflair.com Become a member of The Church of Tarantino by following us on our socials: Facebook / Instagram / X(Twitter) & Letterboxd: @ChurchOfQTPod Email: TheChurchOfTarantino@gmail.com We're also on the Deluxe Edition Network: https://www.deluxeeditionnetwork.com/home/the-church-of-tarantino --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thechurchoftarantino/support

The final episode of Season Four of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast connects two songs once again. Alone Again by Dokken start things off and was sent in by my friend, Jason Gick. Song seven is one of my all-time favorites from the 1980’s, The Reflex by Duran Duran, sent in by Jason Herndon of the KISS My Wax and KISS My Kollectibles Facebook groups and podcast. Helping us wrap things up today, we get some help from Billy Joel, Neil Young, and Jon Bon Jovi. We’re closing it out strong!!!!
Today’s theme is simple…party time. Episode 47 of the Seven Notes of Separation begins with a toast…Bottoms Up from Van Halen starts the festivities thanks to our great friend, Eric Alberty. Craig Smith of the Pods and Sods Network submitted the Ween track, Your Party, which wraps up our show. Party-goers today include REO Speedwagon, Brian May, and producer Roy Thomas Baker. B.Y.O.B.!!!!! See you there!!!!
We hit rock, soft rock, jazz, hard rock, an instrumental, and more on episode 46 of the Seven Notes of Separation. Song one today was submitted by Hans Rees of Lafayette, Indiana’s Frank Muffin…Stiff Competition by Cheap Trick gets us rolling. Song seven comes from rock trio The Winery Dogs…Blake Watts loves Regret, the song, not the feeling. Drummers Ringo Starr, Peter Criss, Steve Gadd, and Allan Schwartzberg help us connect it all today. Drummers rule and so does this show…enjoy!!!
Holy cow, today’s episode of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast will lift you up!! We go to church for my mom, as she sent in the Hozier tune, Take Me To Church. It seems like an easy connection to connect a song about church to a Stryper song, but Byron Alzamora made it tough on us this week when he sent in the Stryper classic, To Hell With The Devil, to close out episode 45. Leading the congregation today from song one to song seven will be Europe, Rival Sons, and Don Dokken. Please, join us!!!!
We have a bit of an 80’s extravaganza on episode 44 of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast…only one song is NOT from the 1980’s this week. We start with a gem from Blue Murder. Jelly Roll opens episode 44 for friend of the show, David Cathey. Closing out episode 44 is an amazing pop song from Howard Jones. No One Is To Blame and Amanda Burke knows this as she sent in our show closer today. In order to connect Blue Murder to Howard Jones, we’re going to use Peter Gabriel, Edie Brickell, and AC/DC. Won’t you join us??
If there was ever a Seven Notes of Separation Podcast episode that surprised me, it’s this one. We start Episode 43 with a song from Indiana’s own Bill Novack, who wanted to hear Elvira by The Oak Ridge Boys. Our friend, DJ Higgins, requested we raise the bar for the show closer and bring the heat…so we close with Five Minutes Alone by Pantera. If you’re gonna connect The Oak Ridge Boys to Pantera, you’re gonna need help. Thankfully Eddie Money, Geddy Lee, and Steve Jordan give us the help we need to make this show memorable and possible…check it out!!!
A varied roster today as we start the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast with Goin’ Down by The Monkees for my hometown buddy, Jason Webb. Our show closer goes to the man who shares our content more than anyone else in the world, David Cathey, who wanted to hear Superconductor by Rush. Connecting The Monkees to Rush was a challenge, but Stevie Ray Vaughan, Iggy Pop, and Run DMC give us all the help we need. Don’t be afraid…good stuff in this one!!!
My mom loves Metallica. That’s apparent as she submitted our first song today, Enter Sandman. We’ll start there on Episode 41. Song seven is one of the newest songs we’ve featured on the show, and it was sent in by our friend, Tara La Follette…My Demons by Starset. Connecting Metallica to Starset, we get some help from Filter, Guns N Roses, and producer, Bob Rock. Lots of great music in this one…don’t miss this episode of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast!!!!
We go over the hill (and out to sea) this week with Episode 40 of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast. For song one we take a trip with CSN to see the Southern Cross…that one was sent in by my sister, Carey Bennett. The final song today is going to be tricky…actually. It’s Tricky by Run DMC, sent in by back-to-back contributor and still a Seven Notes Of Separation All-Star, Gayle Zech. Connecting CSN to Run DMC requires help from Ron Nevison, Jake E. Lee, and Bruce Kulick. Join us each and every episode to see if we can make the connections once again this week!!!
Episode 39 comes out of the gates running with the Foo Fighters and their song, Run, which was sent in by Seven Notes of Separation all-star, Gayle Zech. We wrap it all up with a laid back classic from the Black Crowes, Thorn In My Pride, a song sent in by our friend, Craig Swearingen. Connecting these two, we’ll touch base with Elton John, the Pointer Sisters, and Pearl Jam among others. Check this one out…and enjoy!!!
Episode 38 of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast begins with an epic Metallica classic, One, which was sent in by our great friend, Tara La Follette. At song seven today, we have one of my favorite songs of all-time, the Living Colour gem, Cult of Personality, also a favorite of Allen Tate of the Ages of Rock Podcast. Between these two tracks, we fill in the holes, linking everything with help from Robert John “Mutt” Lange, Anthrax, and Tommy Thayer. This is a great show…check it out!!!
We begin Season Four of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast with a pick from our friend, Scott Crouch, who sent in song one for today, Dogman by King’s X. We eventually make our way to song seven, which was sent in by Hans Rees, guitarist and singer for Frank Muffin…his pick was the Led Zeppelin classic, Nobody’s Fault But Mine. In between these two gems we’ll hear picks from Ratt, Queen, and the Rolling Stones. Season Four starts right here with Episode 37…join us!!!
In Episode 31 of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast, we take a trip down Electric Avenue to open the show with Eddy Grant for our good friend, Bill Novack. After visits with Peter Frampton, Sting, and Phish, we'll finally make our way to the Tower of Power gem, You’re Still a Young Man for another great friend, Patrick Mulvaney. Who else helps make the chain today? Listen and find out!!
In Episode 30 of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast, we start the show with Hero by Ozzy Osbourne for our friend, Jason Herndon over at the KISS My Wax - A KISS Vinyl Collecting Group & Podcast. We'll check in with The Bangles, Black Veil Brides, and Ringo Starr, all of whom help us connect Ozzy to our last song, and maybe the most popular song in 7/8 time...Money by Pink Floyd, sent in by Jasen Wilson of Bullet To Blame. Who else is part of the linkage? Check out the show and find out!!!

Ellie, Emma, and a guest (our friend Zoey) tackle Black Butler for No Contextober! We discuss the difference between Ciel and Real!Ciel, how fandom can perpetuate harmful real-world stereotypes, Ellie's spot-on "British boy in every anime" accent, a slew of ridiculous crossovers including a Black Butler Frozen 2 AU, and forgetting who the Queen of England was during the Victorian period. Six-Pack of Ringo Starr, Volume One On this Six-Pack episode, Lee McCormack of the Tramps Like Us Podcast and Corey Nowlin of The Seven Notes of Separation podcast rejoin Eric Miller of Pods & Sods to share six songs highlighting Ringo Starr. We have some solo songs, some Beatles songs, a live clip, and much more. This one is heavy on the drum talk, as Lee and Corey are both drummers, but it's accessible and a fun listen for everyone. Lee (who has performed as a Ringo in a Beatles tribute for 10+ years) sits behind his kit to demonstrate some Ringo-isms, including his famous side-to-side hi-hat shuffle. We even have a bit of name that tune, which is a total blast... plus Corey shares his deep familial connection to Ringo's drumming and the best song ever, truly. All fun, all lovely, all Ringo. So sit back and celebrate the legendary charm of Ringo Starr!
Six-Pack of Rush, Volume One On this Six-Pack episode, Mark Anthony K of the Projekt Gemineye and Corey Nowlin of The Seven Notes of Separation podcast join Eric Miller of Pods & Sods to kick of a series of Six-Packs celebrating the life and work of Neil Peart and Rush. The impact and breadth of Rush's musical career is beyond measure, and Neil's words particularly resonate in the hearts and minds of millions of fans around the world. Oh, plus he's the Drum God-iest of Drum Gods - a unique talent that elevated what one could do behind the kit and beyond the light stage as a creative force. Who's the greatest rock drummer ever? C'mon. We all know. Rush is an eternal brotherhood. Three young to older men that lived a life of philosophical growth, musical exploration, joy, tragedy, and friendship on record and on stage - the real relation. We're all blessed to have witnessed and have been inspired by it - now and forever. So, join us as we grieve the loss of Neil and praise the work of Rush. Air drumming highly encouraged, in fact required. "The measure of a life is a measure of love and respect So hard to earn, so easily burned In the fullness of time A garden to nurture and protect"

Welcome to series 1 episode 7 of the Your App Lady Podcast! I am Betsy Furler and I am Your App Lady. I am a wife, mother to two boys, a Product Designer, business owner and speech pathologist. I’m also an app addict. Join me as I talk about my favorite subject: Apps. And I may also occasionally talk about my kids, my work and the rest of my life. On each episode, I’ll talk about recent tech news, recommend apps that I use myself and leave you with a great tech tip. Tech News What is the Internet of Things (IoT)? WIRED explains: http://www.wired.co.uk/article/internet-of-things-what-is-explained-iot Have you wonder what people are talking about when they say “The Internet of Things”, often abbreviated as IoT? This article states that the Internet of Things is made up of devices such as objects with sensors, smartphones and wearables that are connected together. The devices, the network communication and the data form the Internet of Things. It’s interesting to think about how many “smart” devices that are now available. I have thermometers and blood pressure cuffs that connect to apps on my phone. Scales, coffee pots, slow cookers and thermostats can also connect to apps. We can install doorbells and cameras that allow us to answer our door at home when we are physically across the world. Tweet me @yourapplady and let me know about your favorite smart device. App of the Week: Notes The Notes app on my iPhone and iPads is one of the apps I use daily to stay organized. Notes is preloaded onto all Apple products. The app is a virtual notepad. You can type, write, draw, save links, photos and videos into the app. You can add to existing notes or start new notes. I title each note but titles are not required. Notes is searchable by keyword. The search function finds the word within the body of the note. For example, if I search for the name “Henry”, every note about my son, Henry, shows up. I use Notes to collect those little bits of information that used to be on post-its or on a scrap piece of paper. And then lost. Even with a paper notebook, I would write notes and then wouldn’t be able to find them when I needed them. With Notes, I don’t lose the pieces of paper or forget where in the notebook it was written. Google Keep is a similar app for Android devices. It is also available as a Google Extension. https://www.google.com/keep/ Tech Tip How to turn your old iPhone or Smartphone into an iPod Touch, MP3 player or small tablet. You can use your old phone as an iPod, MP3 player or as a tablet. This is a great alternative to getting a child a new phone. Without paying for a cellular plan, you can still connect the old phone to WiFi. You will be able to play music, games and videos. You can search the Internet and check your email. You can also use Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp or one of the many other messaging apps to make calls and send text messages. This week, Dread Media is proud to present a conversation with film composing legend Fabio Frizzi. The Maestro talks about his working relationship with Lucio Fulci, the lasting qualities of his music, and his work on two gialli in particular: Seven Notes in Black and The Scorpion with Two Tails. On top of all that, we've added a full-length episode to the end of that interview as Chris joins Desmond to discuss the film that started it all: Mario Bava's Blood and Black Lace. Rich the Monster Movie Kid gives giallo another shot as he takes in a viewing of Black Belly of the Tarantula. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. jumps in to take the show home in a review of Short Night of the Glass Dolls. It would be silly if there wasn't music, right? "Sette Note Pt. 1 (Film Version)" by Bixio - Frizzi - Tempera, "Fear's Melody" by Fabio Frizzi, "Without a Face" by Rage Against the Machine, "Paralyzed" by Ruby the Hatchet, "Is It My Body?" by Alice Cooper, and (one more for good measure) "Verso L'Ignoto" by Fabio Frizzi. Hey! It's 2am and I need to be up in a couple hours! This is totally healthy behavior! Anyway, this week F13 & DZ make fun of their friends, listeners and just generally burn bridges and then with the sting of betrayal freshly in everyones minds, shamelessly pander for people to nominate Cinema Diabolica for best Movies/Films podcast over at http://podcastawards.com oh and somewhere in there they cover Seven Notes in Black (aka The Psychic) and Terrifying Girls High School: Lynch Law Classrom. Enjoy or something... it's great.
Episode 38. The Seven Notes of Indian Music taught in a style similar to that employed in The Sound of Music. Translations are available at http://housefull.cuttingchai.com
