COVID-19 has tackled the Mountaineer football team. Saturday's regular season finale against Oklahoma is cancelled due to a surge of the virus within the WVU program. WVU athletic director Shane Lyons announced that all activities will be paused until at least December 17. It's the second time this week a Mountaineer game was cancelled by COVID-19. West Virginia's basketball team had its opener against Robert Morris cancelled, but quickly filled the void by scheduling North Texas at the Coliseum on Friday afternoon.
