It's not easy to steer clear of getting boxed in to one particular thing in Hollywood, but Shelley Hennig has done that especially well, amassing a body of work that ranges from a soap opera to horror to extreme action-comedy with her brand new Netflix series Obliterated. The show comes from Cobra Kai creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, and stars Hennig as Ava Winters, a CIA operative in the midst of a very tense and dangerous mission to track down a nuclear threat in Las Vegas. When she finally manages to lead her team to victory, they encourage her to treat herself and enjoy some Las Vegas debauchery. She reluctantly agrees and out they go, indulging in a hefty dose of sex, drugs, and alcohol. With a wide variety of substances coursing through them, they get a call from their superior. The bomb they deactivated was a fake, and they have to get right back to work. And so they do — extremely drunk and/or high. With Obliterated now available to stream on Netflix, Hennig joined me for a Collider Ladies Night chat to revisit her journey from becoming Miss Teen USA to headlining a hit Netflix show. S. Rajamouli, who co-wrote the film with V. Vijayendra Prasad. It was produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainment. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris. It centers around two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), their fictional friendship and their fight against the British Raj. Set in the 1920s, the plot explores the undocumented period in their lives when both the revolutionaries chose to go into obscurity before they began the fight for their country. Everything Everywhere All at Once is a 2022 American absurdist comedy-drama film written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as "Daniels"), who produced it with Anthony and Joe Russo. The plot centers on a Chinese-American immigrant (played by Michelle Yeoh) who, while being audited by the IRS, discovers that she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from destroying the multiverse. Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis appear in supporting roles. The New York Times called the film a "swirl of genre anarchy" with elements of black comedy, science fiction, fantasy, martial arts films, and animation.   Midnights is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, released on October 21, 2022, via Republic Records. Announced at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, the album marks Swift's first body of new work since her 2020 alternative folk albums, Folklore and Evermore. Midnights is a concept album about nocturnal ruminations, written and produced by Swift with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff.    El Bueno Y El Malo by Hermanos Gutierrez: https://www.hermanosgutierrez.ch/   The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window (originally titled The Woman in the House) is an American dark comedy streaming television miniseries created by Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf for Netflix. Actors Kristen Bell, Michael Ealy, Tom Riley, Mary Holland, Cameron Britton, Shelley Hennig, and Samsara Yett star in the series, which has elements of thrillers, but is primarily a parody of mystery psychological thrillers, as well as Scream. The eight-episode series runs less than four hours and was released on January 28, 2022, on Netflix. It received mixed reviews from critics, while Bell's performance was praised. The Rehearsal is an American docu-comedy television series created, written, and directed by and starring Nathan Fielder. It premiered on HBO on July 15, 2022, to critical acclaim. The Rehearsal features Nathan Fielder helping ordinary people rehearse difficult conversations or life events through the use of sets and actors hired to recreate real situations. The situations can be trivial, like confessing to a lie about educational history, or more complex, like raising a child. Fielder commissions extravagant sets with every detail recreated. He hires actors to inhabit these sets and practice different dialogue trees with his clients dozens of times. Information used to train the actors and build the sets is often collected without the subjects' knowledge.

TEEN WOLFSeason 6, Episode 16 "Triggers" Written by Eric Wallace Directed by Eric WallaceTimothy: So rather curiously, we had a bit of an audio glitch this week, and the first two minutes or so of the beginning of our recording just wasn't there.Dustin: Which means that we open talking about a book that isn't named, and that's all kinds of annoying. We were talking about missing Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett, which led to talking about series that were continued after Author Existence Failure, and specifically, the final Hitchhiker's book, Mostly Harmless.Timothy: Which ticked Dustin off so bad he didn't read Adams again for a year, until Blackadder brought that very English - and very influenced by Adam's depression - ending into perspective.Dustin: And now you're all caught up, in time to hear us discuss the most Filler-McFillerston episode of Teen Wolf. SO MUCH FILLER.Timothy: And only four more episodes after this, so what they were thinking, I couldn't even begin to tell you. I did like the chance to riff on the "full of spiders" thing again.Dustin: I really do think I'm going to get a pillow embroidered with "Nothing Good Is Ever Full Of Spiders". It will be a lesson I will happily pass onto my kids.Timothy: As a good father should. So sit back folks, and listen as we ask "why is this happening", and "don't they know that's not how that works"...Dustin: AND WHY ARE SCOTT AND MALIA A THING? WHY, SHOW? WHY?Timothy: You know... the important questions. And we'll see you next week, here on Zompocalypse Now!

On today’s Daytime Confidential emergency podcast Luke, Jamey, Jillian and Regan dive into the shocking news that CBS has fired Barbara Bloom, General Hospital fired Rebecca Herbst and Shelley Hennig and Jay Kenneth Johnson are leaving Days of our Lives. The DC gang delves into CBS’ decision to get rid of daytime executive Barbara Bloom. Jamey dishes what he’s hearing about what led to the axe falling and recounts how a CBS representative called him furious for breaking the story. What will her departure mean for The Talk, The Young and Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful? The other shocking news that Jamey broke on January 18 is that General Hospital had fired 13-year vet Rebecca Herbst. In statement, ABC later announced that the decision was “storyline dictated.” Jamey and Regan react, wondering what kind of storyline would dictate the departure of such a popular character. Why was Elizabeth wasted on Nikolas? Why couldn’t Elizabeth be the one to reveal Siobhan’s connection to the Balkan? What will happen to Elizabeth’s children? What is happening to Days of our Lives’ young adult cast? Last week it was announced Mark Hapka is leaving Salem and this week it was revealed Shelley Hennig and Jay Kenneth Johnson are also pulling up stakes. The departure of the four actors effectively wipes out Philip/Melanie/Nathan/Stephanie storyline. Should DAYS recast the characters or will the introduction of other characters fill the void? With all of this week’s crazy developments it’s no wonder the DC gang is worked up!

On today's CBS and Days of Our Lives episode of Daytime Confidential Luke, Jamey, Jillian and Melodie discuss the latest in As the World Turns, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, Guiding Light and The Young and the Restless news and storylines, including: It must almost be summer because Noah's dad is returning to As the World Turns. Luke was just kidnapped by The Wonder Twins, can't Luke and Noah get a break? Meanwhile Lily Snyder is running around town like Little Red Riding Hood. Something excited Jillian on As the World Turns, now what could have made that happen? The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge Forrester is turning into the Six Million Dollar Man, facing down a private jet and running to stop Rick from marrying his daughter. Jackie and Owen got it on. Does it make sense for Jackie to be pushing Owen off? Now that Rick and Steffy are broken up she may be paired with Marcus. Phillip Kiriakis was shot on Days of Our Lives and provided an opportunity for Shelley Hennig to shine or falter, which was it? The Kiriakis versus DiMera rivalry finally has a motivation. Could this be a good storyline? Jamey doesn't believe that Dena Higley is responsible for Days of Our Lives' improvements. He believes that Gary Tomlin is responsible. Paul Anthony Stewart is returning to Guiding Light. Could his return usher back in the mob? BethAnn Bonner is joining the cast, but it isn't as Michelle. Who could she be and what is her motivation? Bill and Lizzie will be facing problems, leading up to their wedding. Shouldn't Bizzie be able to have some happiness until they say their vows? Frank needs to buy a clue. He's a cop and he can't even figure out what Natalia is thinking. The Chipmunk Chronicles are over on The Young and the Restless. Ashley is going crazy, but why is she wondering around the woods? Gloria, Jeff and Jill are teaming up to take on the all powerful Victor Newman. Do they even have a chance? The one thing that might give them an edge is that - love her or hate her - Gloria's got hustle.
