John 4 May 4, 2025 (Student Sunday) Everyone has a past. Everyone is ashamed. Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin screams that we are not worthy. But the resurrection declares Jesus is worthy and through Jesus we can be made worthy. So in light of the resurrection regardless of our sin, our shame, our past, or how others see us, in Christ “I'm not worthy” is untrue.

Text us about this show.Alex Drossart and Sam Farrell have their hands in a lot of musical doings and they're having a blast! Both are members of Hang Ten, a popular laid back pop band, and they are instrumental in operating their studio they've dubbed The Hangar. Add to that their resumés that include playing alongside names like Butch Vig, Duke Erikson, Steve Porcaro, Freedy Johnston, and Wayne Newton. They've accomplished so much in their careers and, yet, they're just two guys just wanting to enjoy creating music whether that be their own or helping out other artists. It's a fun discussion with a couple guys who like to keep things fresh and interesting, so kick back and enjoy!"Oh Well Whatever" written and performed by Hang Ten℗ 2024 Hang Ten. 2 Corinthians 5:21 April 27, 2025 It's true, no one on their own can truly change. But Jesus changes everything including eternity and including us. Christianity is about transformation through relationship, not information and behavior modification. Because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, God can change anyone – even you. Therefore, because of the empty tomb “no one can change” is untrue.

In John's account of the resurrection, Mary Magdalene's relentless search for Jesus led her to a miraculous encounter—finding Him more alive and powerful than she could have imagined. While others gave up, Mary's perseverance was rewarded, showing us that if we seek Jesus with all our hearts, we too will find Him—closer, more alive, and more loving than we ever hoped. Scripture promises that if we ask, seek, and knock, God will respond. He's not distant; He's already reaching out to us. Like Mary, when we keep trusting and seeking, we begin to see dead things come to life, sorrow turn to joy, and darkness turn to light. No matter where we are in our journey, His promise stands—He is faithful, and He will meet us.

Untrue information is called misinformation, and intentionally spread misinformation is known as disinformation. When one uses disinformation to further one's own agenda, especially in the political realm, then the information has been weaponized. And the continued acceleration of weaponized information further erodes our trust in experts, media, and other institutional sources of accurate information, and severely damages the social trust required for a healthy democracy. The “code red” conditions now prevalent in America motivate us to revisit an episode of Thinking Clearly (from May of 2022), which explores the "Nature of Trust", and to include new, updated comments from the present.

If you want to build a reputation that gets you promoted, knowing how to get executives to listen to you is a must. Lots of people think the way you get executives to listen to you is through corporate jargon or being domineering - this is UNTRUE! In fact, the techniques I'm teaching in this episode will help you feel more authentic, rather than less authentic when you speak. If you're ready to captivate your executive audience while being authentically YOU, you're going to love this episode! 1.) We don't need so much sleep…At least everybody should sleep for 7 hours, even the high achievers. If we sleep less than 7 hours it will cause in the long term: higher blood pressure, increased risk of cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.2.) Waking up in the middle of the night is not good…We go through different cycles of the sleep and to wake up between the cycles is normal. When you feel well rested your sleep is okay.3.) To get sleepy when bored? Is okay!4.) The brain rests when you sleep. Is not true, sometimes the brain is more active during sleep than during normal thinking. 5.) REM sleep is the deepest and most important phase. This is not true, Slow-wave sleep is by far most the deepest stage. And it releases also the hormones. 6.) All kind of sleep is equal.Overweight people who snore, for example, may not even realize that their sleep is very disturbed. The same applies if we take alcohol or drugs, before going to sleep. 7.) We can go to sleep with a TV or Music when we see or hear positive media. With negative media, we get that negative information straight in our subconsciousness similar to hypnosis… Why not hear a hypnosis mp3 with positive changes/ affirmations? In any case, we should terminate the TV/mp3 player after some time (15 to 60minutes) so that we get the best out of it. Join Henrik on a whimsical journey through the cobblestone streets of medieval Stockholm, where fact and fiction dance together in the candlelight. In this episode, Henrik weaves an intricate tapestry of entirely fabricated yet oddly specific historical "facts" about Stockholm's relationship with pickled herrings, psychic cats, and peculiar laws that never were. Between tales of herring-filled shoes and cat burgomasters, Henrik reflects on the nature of control, acceptance, and the beauty of letting go. From his old writer's den in Stockholm's Old Town to the present moment, this episode invites you to explore the thin line between history and imagination, while gently drifting off to sleep in the company of Henrik's soothing stream of consciousness. For more information on Henrik Ståhl, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Become a supporting member and listen to ad free episodes at: https://plus.acast.com/s/falli-asleep-with-henrik. A mother and her young son trade a life of privilege for one of poverty, a story that is borderline unbelievable, yet nonetheless true.

“Reading is the act of listening and speaking at the same time, with someone you've never met, but love…” Join Kate and Sheila as they embark on Daniel Nayeri's tale of an unbelievable but true journey, in Everything Sad is Untrue. The story describes how Daniel's mother and her children had to flee Iran after converting to Christianity. The miraculous and harrowing road to freedom is beautifully told through the eyes of a young Daniel. “The Legend of my mother is that she does not stop. And if you don't stop, you're unstoppable.” Everything Sad is Untrue is written in a traditional Eastern way of Storytelling where “the stories aren't the thing. The thing is the story of the story. The spending of the time. The falling in love.” It allows us to see each other as our true selves. Daniel tells us about the God who Listens and the God who speaks and the importance of a God that does both. May we implement this in our lives as we practice listening better and speaking kindness often. “Love is empty without justice. Justice is cruel without love.” “But what you believe about the future will change how you live in the present.” What do you believe about the future? Meet Daniel and his unstoppable mom in this short video. Why this author and his mother fled Iran in the 80's

Today, I share a long overdue conversation...with Angel the Medium. After child loss by suicide, we need connection - to so much, other moms included, & we need a connection to our child in spirit. Many grievers look for, wonder about, &/or sit in front of a medium to facilitate that connection after loss.I know I did -- the first few attempts didn't go well for me after I learned how to find a medium, prepare for a reading, and moreover, I finally found "my medium" (yes, once you find a fit, you should stick with them) In this episode, Angel and I attempt to demystify mediumship including discussing that he is deeply Catholic (many people assume God & spirituality do not go hand-in-hand. Untrue. They can!)BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. Angel and his wife (mystic Medium), Lisa Dawn, are the guest co-hosts for my upcoming Mom's Soul & Spirit Connection RETREAT (Jan. 15-20, 2025). It will be an (almost) weeklong healing retreat where we integrate mediumship, psychic, and healing modalities with a fully immersive dive into soul and spirit. Come get replenished, cared for, and connected this January (and hopefully, we will partner for a yearly retreat after this!!!Angel the Medium is an Evidential Psychic Medium &Spiritual Life Coach who is passionate about teaching, helping others.
