Alert the USGS - Sonjay has discovered why Venice is so wet!! Disclaimer: there is a very sudden and odd one-sided tangent about White Claw coming your way. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Sonjay says the moon hanging in the sky like a big pizza pie as he puts himself in the mindset of a Venetian gondolier and we talk vampires in Venice (Doctor Who And otherwise), amongst other things. “My mom is cool, not actually a horror story” - Georgia, from her hiding place. Disclaimer: lots of background noise - we apologize for that. We are obviously hungry in this episode. Also, Sonjay says that Jason Isaacs is cool but we have no idea if he’s ACTUALLY talking about Jason Isaacs or if he really means Jon Hamm. We talk about Roman poop - how cool is that?! We also talk about our (trademarked) burglar traps made of LEGO pieces and D4. Sonjay thinks all Roman names are dumb and isn’t afraid of telling he world how he feels, and Georgi finally calls him out on spelling Febreze wrong back in episode 1. Follow us! Disclaimer: Sonjay reveals a lot about his sex life in this episode, especially when we get to eat torture. He also tells Vlad the Impaler to fuck himself. Ballsy...speaking of balls... truck nuts! Why are we talking about them? Tune in to find out. Let us know if you want to witness us playing horror movie drinking games. We can gift you with some bonus material. This episode is basically what it sounds like when Georgia and Sonjay sit at a bar together and drink gin. Disclaimer: You have NO idea how uncharacteristically unprepared Georgia was for this episode so brace yourself for an unholy amount of tangents. Also, please excuse the rocket ship washing machine and ridiculous amount of background noise - it’s worse than normal while we’re still getting an official recording space established. Also, Luna is especially active this episode but you’ll never hear us complain about that. Tonight, we found out that Sonjay, unfortunately, can’t read, BUT Georgia can count to 10. Together, we have at least half a thing going for us. Sonjay throws mad shade at 80s babies but let us know if you’re one of the people who want to hear an episode about people dying on the toilet. Hear all about how Sonjay fell in a giant hole while trying to buy Mennonite cinnamon rolls and count how many times we have now mentioned throwing a corpse since the inception of this podcast. You’ll find out that Georgia watched Bones kind of a lot and that both Sonjay and Georgia can recite way too much Spongebob. On a serious note, if you are environmentally conscious and want to consider sustainable choices in the afterlife, you should check out the Order of the Good Death. We are in no way affiliated with them; Georgia just thinks they’re cool. This is a huge part of why she began studying anthropology, after all. Follow us! Disclaimer: Sorry about all the terrible background noise. Sonjay will have our recording closet ready eventually. On the bright side, you get to enjoy the jingling of my demon cat once more. Fun fact: the Guy Fieri story was a listenerpasta that Georgia heard on Last Podcast on the Left. Well worth checking out. Also, here’s that slow motion footage of him eating slowly: https://youtu.be/SOQEWZzz3L4 Witness the pure passion for yourself. We apologize for not making a community reference! Please forgive us. Disclaimer: Georgia’s audio sucks extra this episode. And Sonjay is impervious to bruises, apparently. This episode is weirdly low on tangents. Disclaimer: Georgia is pretty sure that Sonjay knows Mumford and Sons aren’t actually a father with his sons... let’s all hope. Also, neither of us know anything about wrestling. How many times can you hear Luna’s bell today?! Georgia told Sonjay he should have a Scottish accent, and he did every other accent he knows except that one. Disclaimer: we talk out of our asses a lot and this episode has many tangents. Tune in to hear all about bog bodies, our thoughts on pickles, and how Georgia feels about people who wear socks to sleep. Shout out to Marshall at Maja Island Music for our awesome new intro. Check them out: Insta: MajaIslandMusic Website: majaislandmusic.com After some research, Adventure Time Wiki informed us that it’s Mr. Pig that Tree Trunks was marrying and LSP just ruined their party. LSP may or may not be dating Lemongrab 3, reports say. Basically, Georgia was right and Sonjay was wrong. Additionally, Georgia remembered that it’s Eartha Kitt from that episode of Community; not Betty Grable. Whoops.
Tune as Georgia and Sonjay dive into the curse of King Tut and how they're both too poor to understand homes with multiple rooms.
There has been an increase in women who are open to dating bisexual men. On this episode Janeen, DJ PChris, and Sonjay discuss their views on the topic as well as other experiences.
Matt and Sonjay discuss the new Wonder Woman movie and how it addresses feminism and representation. They also discuss some recent comic tradebacks and the excitement for Spider-man Homecoming.

An imaginative fantasy adventure, The Call to Shakabaz sidesteps many of the usual conventions of the genre and offers instead unusual and original resolutions to a variety of sticky situations. When the recently orphaned Goodacre children are transported to the land of Faracadar, they must discover and develop their special gifts and talents, which require that they exercise ingenuity, creativity, and compassion. Fourteen-year-old Doshmisi and her younger siblings Denzel, Maia, and Sonjay are given the task of retrieving the powerful Staff of Shakabaz from the evil enchanter Sissrath. They travel through a colorful landscape with their Faracadaran guide, fifteen-year-old Jasper, and their Aunt Alice s clever, pesky, and often hilarious parrot, Bayard Rustin. The adventurers must contend with many obstacles and foes, including a giant sea serpent spewing green goo, skeeter birds with uncanny eyesight, the smelliest man in the land (named Compost), the deadly mountain geebachings (who cause their victims to laugh themselves to death), as well as Sissrath himself and his minions (who shoot deadly poison darts at their enemies). Assistance is provided to them along the way by the High Chief and his clever daughter, talking whales, ancient trees, drummers, inventors, butterflies, wolves, tigers, and the peculiar sprites who live underground in the hills. Author Amy Wachspress has set the story in an African American cultural context, with all brown characters, for a refreshingly different perspective on adventuring in make-believe lands (there are almost no books in this genre with any African American characters in them). "The Call to Shakabaz" explores a host of difficult and complex issues that today s young people face and challenges readers to reconsider the nature of violence and our relation to it. In the final climactic sequence, young readers learn the fundamental principles of nonviolence as practiced by Dr. King and Mahatma Gandhi. When the last page turns and the dust clears, this book will inspire readers to think and think again.
