Welcome to CURE America with Star Parker! This Christmas special dives into the true meaning of Christ's birth while tackling the pressing issues our nation faces. We'll discuss race, poverty, and the church's role, highlighting how Christian values can steer public policy back to America's founding principles as laid out in the Declaration of Independence.   Addressing the stark contradictions in our history, like slavery, but affirm the timeless ideals of equality. Our panel—Pastor Donald T. Eason and CURE executive, Pastor Nathaniel Thomas, and Jonathan Alexandre, senior counsel at Liberty Counsel Action will bring their insights on race and the crucial roles black men play in our society. Jonathan will detail recent Supreme Court wins for religious freedom.   We'll scrutinize how the separation of church and state, particularly through the Johnson Amendment, has silenced the church in public debate. Hear how pastors have navigated recent societal upheavals, like the COVID-19 lockdowns, and why the Bible seems less relevant in daily life.   Through personal stories of faith, fatherhood, and education, we'll underscore the vital need for strong male role models and challenge the government's overreach in education, arguing it breeds dependency and weakens community bonds. As we conclude, we'll advocate for choosing faith over fear in our response to governance, calling for a return to Christ's teachings this Christmas.   Join us for this impactful episode of CURE America where we affirm our conservative values and faith.

This week on CURE America with Star Parker, join Star in a thought-provoking dialogue with Tim Goeglein, Vice President of Government Relations at Focus on the Family. Together, they explore the profound cultural shifts that have shaped America since the turbulent 1960s, as chronicled in Tim's book, "Stumbling Toward Utopia."   Star and Tim delve into how the seeds of change sown decades ago by progressive ideologies have grown into today's complex societal landscape, affecting everything from family structures to our very sense of national identity. They address the unsettling statistics on diminishing patriotism, the importance of family, and community involvement, pondering whether America is truly on a path toward an elusive utopia or veering towards a deeper crisis.   Yet, amidst these reflections, Tim, ever the optimist, offers a beacon of hope. He speaks of a potential "Great Awakening" among the youth, a generation yearning for something beyond the hollow promises of modernity, turning instead to the roots of tradition, faith, and community.   The conversation also touches on the interplay between politics and faith, suggesting that while political change is necessary, the real transformation must begin at the grassroots level, within our churches, homes, and local communities. They discuss the imperative for believers and all who value America's foundational principles to step up, influence education, engage in local governance, and champion a return to what has historically made the nation strong.   So tune in to CURE America with Star Parker for an enlightening journey through America's cultural evolution, a call to action, and a message of hope for a nation poised on the brink of renewal. This week's episode of CURE America with Star Parker brings a powerful and urgent focus on Israel's war against Hamas, following the brutal October 7th terrorist attacks. With Israel under fire and global anti-Semitism rising, Star and her guests tackle the need for bold U.S. leadership in standing unapologetically with Israel.   E.J. Kimball, from the Combat Anti-Semitism Movement, exposes how radical groups like Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) are openly spreading pro-Hamas propaganda across more than 200 U.S. college campuses. This is not just about politics—this is a calculated, dangerous rise in anti-Semitism, masked as anti-Zionism, targeting both Israel and America's foundational Judeo-Christian values.   Greg Gross, a defense expert, makes it clear that the Biden administration's weak, indecisive response is hurting Israel. He contrasts this with President Trump's strong leadership in advancing the Abraham Accords and supporting Israel without compromise. Gross argues that any ceasefire would only serve Hamas' interests, putting Israel—and global stability—at even greater risk. Star Parker and her guests call for real action, urging viewers to pressure universities and government leaders to stop funding groups that promote anti-Semitic violence. This episode delivers a strong message: now is the time to defend Israel, protect our values, and demand accountability from weak leadership that is failing both America and its allies.

This week's episode of "CURE America with Star Parker" is hosted by Jonathan Alexandre, Senior Counsel for Governmental Affairs, stepping in for Star Parker to lead a timely discussion on the upcoming elections and the critical issue of abortion legislation. The episode highlights the clear distinction between the pro-life values of the Republican Party and the pro-abortion stance of the Democrat Party. Additionally, we take a close look at the vital role of crisis pregnancy centers, which provide compassionate support and real alternatives for women in need.   The panel addresses the ongoing concern over government funding for abortion, the threat to conscience protections for healthcare providers who refuse to participate in abortions, and the importance of parental rights in protecting minors from both abortion procedures and the radical push by activists promoting genital mutilation in the form of so-called "sex changes." We also delve into the upcoming state-level referendums, such as those in Florida and Maryland, which could radically expand abortion access without limits.   The discussion covers the harsh reality of late-term abortion in the U.S. and how the left is pushing for its acceptance far beyond what most Americans believe is reasonable. The panel also highlights the ongoing grassroots efforts to protect life and the increasing weaponization of government against pro-life advocates, along with attacks on the First Amendment rights of those who peacefully protest and pray outside abortion clinics.   Joining Jonathan Alexandre are: - Kristen A.  Is it time for parents to get their children out of government run schools that teach them values that are the contrary to what is taught at home? This is the hot topic that is raging across the country that we discuss on this week's episode of CURE America with Star Parker. Ninety percent of the nation's K-12 students attend public schools. Over the last years, as parents became more aware of what is being taught to their children, a new movement has been awakened and parents are not only challenging what is being taught to their children, but are looking for policy solutions that would allow money to follow children to the school's parents want. Whether it is Critical Race Theory, transgenderism and sex education, or other value systems that contradict traditional values on race, marriage, family and life, the union-controlled education system is being challenged. In this episode, we learn from our special guest, Corey DeAngelis of the American Federation for Children and our panelists Jonathan Alexandre of Liberty Counsel Action, Terry Jeffrey of CNSNews.com and Andrew Handel of the American Legislative Exchange Council, that there are alternatives to public schools. This year, four states have already passed Education Savings Accounts and many more are considering options for dollars to fund students, not systems. Yes, it is past time for parents to take full responsibility for their children's future - and demand that they have the freedom and the money to select a school for their child that teaches their values and worldview, the school of their choice.

“When [social security] was first established, you had 40 workers for every retiree. Today, we have three workers for every retiree. You also have people living longer, and you have all people forced into this system that they don't own … and they can't transfer it to their heirs,” says Star Parker. She is the founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE) and editor of the book “The State of Black Progress.”America's social security system is broken, Parker says. And it's not just social security. She argues that America's welfare and safety net programs are all built on a one-size-fits-all model that fails to actually help the poor. Instead, they entrench generational poverty in certain communities, she argues.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

Parents Fight Back: Standing Against State-Driven Indoctrination

This episode of CURE America with Star Parker is brought back to you to highlight the critical importance of school choice, emphasizing that parents should have the freedom to choose the school that aligns with their values. After all, it's their children, not the government's children. Is it time for parents to get their children out of government-run schools that indoctrinate our kids? This is the pressing issue we discussed in this week's episode. Currently, ninety percent of the nation's K-12 students attend public schools. As parents increasingly recognize the harmful influences in public schools—such as the sexualization of children, promotion of fake Critical Race Theory, socialist indoctrination, and erosion of parental rights—a strong movement is emerging. These parents are not just pushing back against the radical agenda in the classroom but are also demanding policy changes that ensure funding follows their children to schools that align with their values.   The success of charter schools and private schools stems from the same principle that drives the success of private universities—students choose them because they are not forced into them by the zip code that would otherwise define their destiny. Whether it's Critical Race Theory, transgenderism and sex education, or other educational approaches that some parents believe contradict their values on family and life, the union-controlled education system is facing significant challenges.   In this episode, we hear from our special guest, Corey DeAngelis of the American Federation for Children, along with our panelists Jonathan Alexandre of Liberty Counsel Action, Terry Jeffrey of CNSNews.com, and Andrew Handel of the American Legislative Exchange Council. They discuss the alternatives to public schools and highlight the growing trend toward Education Savings Accounts, with four states having already passed such measures this year and many more considering options to fund students, not systems.

This week on CURE America with Star Parker, we bring you a show we aired during the beginnings of the Biden Administration. Even though Biden aggressively pushed for abortions across Africa, many African nations stood strong against this pressure and enacted laws to prevent the spread of abortion in their countries. CURE did its part in helping these courageous leaders and communities protect life and reject the imposition of foreign values. These nations took decisive actions to reinforce their restrictive abortion laws, resisting external pressures, including those from the Biden Administration. In 2021 and 2022, countries like Malawi (2021), Ghana (2021), Zambia (2021), Kenya (2021), Tanzania (2021), Nigeria (2021), Uganda (2021), Ethiopia (2021), and South Sudan (2022) stood firm in their commitment to protecting life.   In this episode, I have incredible video to show you of some very courageous women and men in Africa who are appealing to the Biden Administration to turn off the abortion promotion spigot.   The truth behind the abortion expansion plan, driven by organizations like the Gates Foundation and the Biden Administration, is deeply troubling. Their target? Our world's poor and uneducated, imposing their so-called 'enlightened' and elite views on whether these communities should be having children.   What's their reasoning? They claim it's good for the environment and will help alleviate climate change. Worse, they argue it's good for the poor, suggesting that their children are better off dead than being born into poverty.   Join us for this important discussion on the promotion of abortion in Africa with my panel and two professional friends, as we seek answers to these extremely alarming questions.   Guests include Ryan Bomberger, founder of The Radiance Foundation, Rebecca Oas, Ph.D., Director of Research for the Center for Family and Human Rights, and Mary Szoch, Director of the Center for Human Dignity at Family Research Council.

Riding Shotgun With Charlie #208 Lucretia Hughes Klucken   This is a name you want to know. And a person you want to follow. I learned about her with the Women for Gun Rights group. I saw her testify in front of Congress. She lost her son to gang violence but she didn't turn into an anti-gun red shirt. She donned the teal and knew that it wasn't a gun that killed her son. I got to have Lucretia in the stagecoach at an event in New Jersey recently. She is an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.    Lucretia grew up in Georgia in a small country town. Her father raised her and her eight siblings in a junkyard. Whatever the boys would do, she would do so she was considered a tomboy. She had three fathers: one was a leader of the Black Panthers and the other two were in the military during Vietnam. Her grandparents were the first interracial couple in the area. She grew up shooting and hunting like her brothers.  By the time she was 20, she had four kids.    She worked hard to make sure that her kids didn't grow up in the situation she did. She lived in the hood and wanted to get out. Of course, she grew up in a Democrat household as she thought black people were supposed to vote that way. But she realized the Democrat party wasn't doing anything to help her. Being involved in gangs and the thug lifestyle, going to funerals of friends, she knew she was the only person that could make changes and get her family out of that lifestyle. She worked hard to get her and her kids out of that way of life.    When the NRA Annual Meeting was in Atlanta, she went at the encouragement of a friend. While there alone, she was talking with lots of folks. A photographer saw her and realized she had something. He dared her to go talk to “that short man over there”. It just happened to be Wayne LaPierre. She didn't know this. She told him her story and he gave her his phone number. Six months later he reached out and invited her to Texas to be part of the Board of Directors nominating committee.    She is also associated with the Women for Gun Rights group. Being around women like Dianna Muller (RSWC #059 & #164) and Amanda Suffecool (RSWC #009 & #180), she's learned a lot. She's had to learn to refine her story, skills, and be a positive role model. WGR help prepare her to speak in front of Congress and share the story about her son being murdered.    One of the things Lucretia does is a daily show, from 5-7 pm et, which has been growing to reach hundreds of thousands of people. Through the show, she met her husband. The show is called Real New with Lucretia Hughes. One of the people watching her show was Star Parker. She's the author of Pimps, Whores, & Welfare Brats. Star went from a tough life into a conservative. Lucretia's story is very similar. They did have a chance to meet and become friends. .    She's got some amazing stories, like driving up to DC for an event, with a pistol on the passenger's seat, and going up a one way road the wrong way. Fortunately, she was pulled over by a black police officer who was also from Georgia and he advised her to go home. She talks about getting off the welfare system and working hard to do so. She worked in federal penitentiaries in the medical department. These are the amazing stories I loved to get out for all to hear.     Besides the show, she's also working on running for the NRA Board of Directors. She was on the nominating committee that helped Dean Cain and Mark Keith Robinson get voted onto the BOD. Like I said, she's a force. When she spoke at the CNJFO/WGR dinner, she got everyone going. If you search her name, you'll find her from Turning Point USA to Real Clear Politics to FOX News. And now RSWC.  Favorite quotes: “I won't bow down. And I won't kiss no ring.” “I learned to stop beating up on myself because no one is perfect.” “I got tired of looking at death.” “They changed a lot of women's minds and their hearts. And a lot of women are now wanting gun rights.” Lucretia Hughes Facebook https://www.facebook.com/lucretia.b.hughes   Instagram https://www.instagram.com/reallucretiahughes/   Rumble Real News with Lucretia Hughes https://rumble.com/user/RealNewsWithLucretiaHughes   FallBackUSA2 Shop https://fallbackusa2.myshopify.com/ Second Amendment Foundation https://secure.anedot.com/saf/donate?sc=RidingShotgun    Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms https://www.ccrkba.org/     Please support the Riding Shotgun With Charlie sponsors and supporters.    Buy RSWC & GunGram shirts & hoodies, stickers & patches, and mugs at the store! http://ridingshotgunwithcharlie.com/rswc-shop/   Dennis McCurdy Author, Speaker, Firewalker http://www.find-away.com/   Self Defense Radio Network http://sdrn.us/   Buy a Powertac Flashlight, use RSWC as the discount code and save 15% www.powertac.com/RSWC   SABRE Red Pepper Spray  https://lddy.no/1iq1n

The State of Black America Star Parker I grew up in tumultuous times of the late 1960's and early 1970's. I remember the riots in Detroit and other cities. I remember the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Our entire school system, where I grew about 60 miles north of Detroit, had 3… that's it… 3 black students – in the entire school system. So watching these events on TV, as a young, impressionable teenager, taught me some things that were flat out wrong…racism, discrimination, etc.It was not until I went in the Army in the mid-70's that I discovered how wrong my upbringing was. Not only did I realize I was wrong on my perceptions – but some of my co-workers and fellow soldiers and who became my best friends, who were black, discovered they were wrong about ME in their perceptions, too.Why am I leading off with this? Because perceptions – I should say “misperceptions” – can lead to disastrous policies, disastrous incidents and out of these things – nothing good can ever come. Amen! Our guest today grew up in that same time frame that I did… but from looking at things, let's just say, from the other side of the tracks.Star Parker, grew up as a military brat…my kids can relate to that… but after moving to St. Lous in 1969, right after the MLK assassination, she found herself swept up in the racial tensions that was sweeping the nation. This led her down a path that took her years to recognize was - the wrong path. With several abortions, living on Food Stamps and Welfare and seeking work that paid, “under the table” (so she could continue on Government subsistence), she found herself pregnant, but wanting to keep this baby. That one decision led her to make another – where she accepted Jesus as her Lord and that led to another decision… to change her life for the better.Today, Star Parker is a nationally syndicated columnist and hosts a weekly television news show, CURE America with Star Parker, which is broadcast on the National Religious Broadcasters Network, the TCT Network and others as well as on the streaming services. She has served on the Executive Board of the National Religious Broadcaster Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors at the Leadership Institute. She has spoken on more than 225 college campuses, including Harvard, Berkeley, Emory, Liberty, Franciscan, UCLA, and the University of Virginia. She is a regular commentator on national television and radio networks including the BBC, EWTN, FOX News and others. She is the founder and president of CURE, which is the “Center for Urban Renewal and Education.”CURE has just released a new study, in book form, in cooperation with contributing scholars and luminaries who are experts in their fields of study, titled, “The State of Black Progress – Confronting Government and Judicial Obstacles.”Having said all of that, help me welcome to the program our very special guest, Star Parker! Star, it is a blessing for you to come on the program and join us today. The first question I always start with is this… other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Star Parker?”Just to lay the groundwork for the discussion of your book, share with us, from your perception, what life was like for you, your family and friends, back in the late 1960's and early 1970's with all of the racial tensions that were going on?Tell us about the advertising agency that would not hire you because you were not a Christian? The Democrats are in a full-blown "freakout" over President Biden's constantly dismal polls. Even with President Trump stuck in a courthouse for weeks on end, President Biden still trails in all of the swing states. But the left has much more to fear than just low poll numbers. As Trump's rally in the Bronx proved last week, Americans of all races and ethnicities are disgusted with the Biden record. Even though many of them never voted for Trump before, they are now. Democrats are terrified and they should be.Today, Sara welcomes Star Parker, a syndicated columnist and the founder of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE) to discuss what is changing in the minds of many minority voters, the campaign messaging that will work with them, and the rhetoric that could still drive them away from the Republicans. Many years ago, Parker believed all the lies about the left about feminism, sexual liberation, abortion, welfare and so much more. But after her powerful conversion to Christianity, she saw those lies for what they were and she has committed every day since then to warning others about the destruction peddled by the Democrats and championing the freedom, dignity, and success that traditional conservative values promote.Parker also shares some simple wisdom on what Republicans should and should not say to sway minority voters. She says pointing out their embrace of the failed policies of Democrats for many years is an especially bad idea. What will work? Finding out the one issue they each care about most and offering solid solutions from the border to the economy to education to crime or whatever that issue might be.It's a powerful, high-energy conversation about Americans busting out of their political stereotypes, rejecting the failed leadership of Joe Biden, and embracing ideas and candidates that understand them better than the Democrats. Please visit our great sponsors:Goldcohttp://saralikesgold.comGet your free gold kit today and learn how to get $10,000 in bonus silver. My Pillowhttps://mypillow.comUse code CARTER for $25 prices and free shipping on orders over $75.Time Stamps:00:00  Democrats have alienated Americans10:09 Star Parker joins the Sara Carter Show11:59 We are far from our founding vision14:43 Trump Rally in the Bronx20:29 Democrats love dead black babies22:45 School Choice Programs are winning25:55 Trump is telling the truth32:06 What Trump must do34:08 Mother's story 37:48 What is Democracy?39:58 What we can do
