It's Tuesday, May 20th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Fulani Muslim killed 15 unarmed Nigerian Christians On Saturday, May 17th, armed Fulani Muslim militia opened fire on Agatu Christians in Benue State, Nigeria, killing 15 unarmed men. Throughout that North Central region, the Fulani have also killed 159 Christian residents over the last 40 days, according to TruthNigeria.com.   Pray for Christians in Nigeria, suffering the most severe violence in the world today. Romania turns left after election interference On Sunday, Romania has taken the centrist-left position with the election of a new president named Nicușor Dan. Dan is supportive of Romania's participation in the European Union, and has made moves to approve the homosexual/transgender movement in his country. The more conservative candidate, George-Nicolae Simion, lost the election in a vote of 54% to 46%. Romania is the second largest Eastern European country by population.  The mainstream media is interpreting this election as an international rejection of the Trump agenda.  The back story is that Călin Georgescu, the conservative in the first round of the Romanian presidential election last December, garnered the most votes among the six presidential candidates at that time. After his opponents claimed that Russia had influenced the election through TikTok accounts, Romanian government officials detained Georgescu, canceled that election, and re-set it for May 18th.  Tens of thousands of Romanians protested in the streets back in March. At the time, Elon Musk said, “They just arrested the person who won the most votes in the Romanian presidential election. This is messed up.” Most and least benevolent countries According to this year's Gallup World Happiness Report, the most benevolent countries in the world, judged by donations and volunteer hours, are Indonesia, the United States, Kenya, Gambia, United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Canada, and New Zealand. The least benevolent countries are Afghanistan, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco.  Biden announces advanced prostate cancer Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an "aggressive form" of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, reports CBS News. On Sunday, President Trump posted on social media that he and First Lady Melania Trump are "saddened to hear about Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis." Appearing on MSNBC's “Morning Joe” on Monday, former Obama health advisor Dr. Zeke Emanuel said the cancer is so advanced, he has had it for many years. SCARBOROUGH: “Doesn't it take some time for prostate cancer to develop to a point where it would spread to the bones?” EMANUEL: “He's had this for many years, maybe even a decade, growing there and spreading.” Dr. Emanuel explained how serious Biden's prostate cancer truly is. EMANUEL: “That Gleason score, that score is from 2 up to 10, and he's at a 9. That means that the cancer doesn't look normal. It looks very abnormal.” Appearing on Fox News with Jesse Waters, talk show host Hugh Hewitt was incredulous. HEWITT: “This is the fourth time, in a little over 100 years, that a Democratic president -- Woodrow Wilson, FDR, John F. Kennedy and now Joe Biden, have hidden crucial details about their health as Commander-in-Chief from the American people. Ronald Reagan did not do that. “And it just astonishes me that in a free republic, we have to worry about our leaders telling us whether they're healthy or not.” Supremes allows Trump to revoke protection for thousands of illegal Venezuelans On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling allowing the Trump administration to deport 350,000 Venezuelans who are presently living in the U.S. on what they call a “humanitarian parole,” reports NBC News. Christian camp sues over foolish transgender mandates The State of Colorado is threatening to shut down a Christian Camp called Idrahaje -- short for “I'd Rather Have Jesus.” The Colorado Department of Early Childhood has refused to grant the camp a religious exemption concerning its transgender policies. This would require the camp to allow boys, pretending to be girls, to sleep, shower, and dress with female campers. The camp has sued the state, with representation from Alliance Defending Freedom. The camp disciples 2,500 to 3,000 students each year with the mission to “win souls to Jesus Christ through the spreading of the Gospel.”  Camp Idrahaje has complied with all regulations until this year when the Colorado government officials released new gender identity rules that became effective on February 14, 2025. 96% of atheists embrace homosexual/transgender agenda The most likely group in America to support the homosexual/transgender agenda are atheists with 96% professing support.  By contrast, 70% of white Evangelical Protestants oppose the lifestyle. Psalm 14:1 describes the atheist this way: "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works.” Mother loses right to disciple daughter Liberty Counsel is defending a mother in the state of Maine who has lost the right to guide the religious upbringing of her 11-year-old girl in a custody case.  This includes taking her daughter to Calvary Chapel services on Sunday.   A state district judge has ruled against the mother, citing “The ‘fear mongering,' paranoia, and anxiety taught by Calvary Chapel has, more likely than not, already had an impact on [the daughter's] childhood development.”   Expert testimony concluded that Calvary Chapel is a cult, the church's pastor a “charismatic” speaker, who spoke “authoritatively” in his messages, and that he asserted his messages were objective truth.   Liberty Counsel is appealing the case to the Maine Supreme Court. They still persecute people who preach about Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 says, “For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans, who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men, forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.” Housing prices sag Since June 2022, housing prices are sagging in some metro areas around the U.S. — 22.8% in the Austin market, 9.9% in the Phoenix market, 9.2% in the San Francisco market, 9.1% in the San Antonio Market, 7.3% in the Denver market, and 6.7% in the Dallas Market. The Consumer Price Index has also risen about 10% over that period of time. Moody's downgraded America's financial rating And finally, in a year-over-year comparison, the U.S. government is still breaking records for fiscal expenditures running 10% over Fiscal Year 2024. Moody's has downgraded the U.S. as a long-term issuer of bonds by one notch, ending a perfect rating for America over the last 108 years.  No longer does the U.S, government get a Aaa rating, the highest level available. Now, it's an Aa1. Moody's noted that the downgrade "reflects the increase over more than a decade in government debt and interest payment ratios to levels that are significantly higher than similarly rated sovereigns.” The rating organization added that: “Successive U.S. administrations and Congress have failed to agree on measures to reverse the trend of large annual fiscal deficits and growing interest costs.”   Another independent rating service, named Fitch, downgraded the United States in 2023.  Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, May 20th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. Two weeks ago, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments on April 30, 2025, about whether Oklahoma can operate the nation's first faith-based charter school. If the Supreme Court decides their way, St. Isidore of Seville would be a virtual, K-12 school run by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa. We should note that a lot of conservatives are with St. Isidore. Alliance Defending Freedom's Jim Campbell was one of the attorneys arguing on behalf of the Oklahoma charter board and the school. Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, a Republican supporter of St. Isidore, said the case “stands to be one of the most significant religious and education freedom decisions in our lifetime.” The conservative legal group Liberty Counsel filed an amicus brief in the case, also in favor of St. Isidore. But not everyone – even on the conservative and Christian side of the aisle — is so enthusiastic. David Dockery is the president of the International Alliance for Christian Education. He told MinistryWatch, “IACE does not have an official position on the St Isidore case since we do not have full agreement on this matter among those who serve on the Board.” Dan Burrell is a longtime Christian education leader. Today he serves as a pastor in Charlotte, N.C., and the chairman of the board of MinistryWatch. His experience includes a tenure as president of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. He was also a faculty member at Liberty University's graduate school of education. Burrell said he was “pretty strongly opposed” to government-funded religious schools.

Welcome to CURE AMERICA - THIS WEEK, hosted by Donald T. Eason, Pastor and President of CURE (Center for Urban Renewal and Education). The episode delves into Eason's Israel trip, where President Isaac Herzog declared, “This is our land, blessed by God,” emphasizing Israel's divine claim and the need for accessibility to all. The panel—Kristen A. Ullman, JD (President of Eagle Forum), Jonathan Alexandre (Vice President of Governmental Affairs, Liberty Counsel), and Marty Dannenfelser (Vice President of Government Relations and Coalitions, CURE)—explores President Trump's trade negotiations with over 70 countries, efforts to lower interest rates, and a 2025 budget resolution funding national security, border security, and tax cuts. Discussions cover misinformation surrounding federal spending cuts, the benefits of reduced illegal immigration, and block grants to states for fiscal control, clarifying that “cuts” mean slowing spending growth.   In a one-on-one interview, Dr. OJ Oleka, CEO of the State Financial Officers Foundation, shares his family's journey from Nigerian immigrants arriving in 1980 to achieving the American Dream through faith, education, and hard work. The conversation highlights financial literacy, school choice, and tithing as tools to combat poverty, with Oleka noting the biblical call in Malachi to “test” God through tithing for abundant blessings. He directs viewers to sfof.com for resources on state financial officers' literacy initiatives. The episode concludes with a panel discussion on a Supreme Court case challenging Maryland's LGBTQ curriculum for elementary students, which denies parental opt-outs. Topics include the ideological nature of materials like Pride Puppy, the elitist dismissal of parental authority, the curriculum's impact on young children, and the diverse plaintiffs (Christian, Muslim, Ethiopian Orthodox) opposing it. The panel advocates for school choice and parental opt-out rights, urging viewers to contact Congress in this faith-driven call to action.

In the first 100 days of the Trump administration, Democrats have been staggering as Trump and his team execute a kind of blitzkrieg against liberal policies. But it was inevitable that the left would fight back and now their strategy is apparent—use leftist judges appointed by Obama and Biden to stymie Trump's orders. But do unelected judges really have the authority to overturn the orders of a nationally-elected president? Has Trump overstepped presidential authority when it comes to such things as cutting government spending and deporting those who entered our country illegally, including a Columbia graduate student who calls for the destruction of Israel?Daniel Schmid, a constitutional attorney and Associate Vice President of Legal Affairs for Liberty Counsel, an international nonprofit, litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family, will join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the showdown between the Trump administration and the third branch of government.----------------------->> Short highlight video from Ray Comfort

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3). Legal challenges to Christmas and holiday displays have been going on for decades. In order to combat the anti-Christmas sentiment outside of the courtroom, a nonprofit religious liberty organization is encouraging shoppers to do so with their wallets. Liberty Counsel's Naughty and Nice List classifies retailers according to whether they censor or celebrate Christmas — an allusion, of course, to Santa's list of naughty and nice children from the Christmas standard "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town."Urging Americans "to give the gift of Christmas back to the companies who support it," the group says, "If retailers choose to profit from Christmas while pretending it does not exist, we encourage you to politely explain why and then patronize their competitors." The list forms part of Liberty Counsel's annual "Friend or Foe Christmas Campaign," which the organization launched in 2003 to counter a rising tide of opposition to the public celebration of Christmas."The war against Christmas is nothing new, and it is certainly evident today in the form of religious discrimination and hostility," says Liberty Counsel founder and Chairman Mat Staver. "Repressive forces have always had the same goal — to first secularize and then to eliminate Christmas and Christian symbols, celebrations and speech. In America, the First Amendment is a guard against censorship and religious hostility. In the retail market, the consumer can decide to patronize stores that recognize Christmas and avoid those that profit from Christmas while pretending it does not exist."

Police stated that the suspect, who was arrested on the scene, was a recent graduate who was motivated to kill and maim because of “failing [an] exam, not receiving a graduation certificate, and dissatisfaction with internship compensation.”  Biden authorizes Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles inside Russia President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied long-range missiles to strike deeper inside Russia, easing limitations on the weapons as Russia deploys thousands of North Korean troops to reinforce its war, reports the Associated Press. The decision allowing Kyiv to use the Army Tactical Missile System for attacks farther inside Russia comes as President Vladimir Putin positions North Korean troops along Ukraine's northern border to try to reclaim hundreds of miles of territory seized by Ukrainian forces. North Korea has provided thousands of troops to Russia to help Moscow try to claw back land in the Kursk border region that Ukraine seized this year. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and many of his Western supporters have been pressing Biden for months to allow Ukraine to strike military targets deeper inside Russia with Western-supplied missiles, saying the U.S. ban had made it impossible for Ukraine to try to stop Russian attacks on its cities and electrical grids. The Red State, a conservative website wrote, “Maybe Joe Biden didn't get the memo: he lost the presidential election and will be vacating the White House in January. It's an odd time to be announcing a significant--and perhaps escalatory--shift toward Ukraine as they try to stave off Russian aggression in the ongoing war between the two countries.” Trump picked Secretary of Energy President-elect Donald Trump has named energy industry executive Chris Wright as his choice to lead the Department of Energy, pending Senate confirmation, reports The Epoch Times. In a November 16 statement, Trump wrote, “Chris has been a leading technologist and entrepreneur in energy. He has worked in nuclear, solar, geothermal, and oil and gas. Most significantly, Chris was one of the pioneers who helped launch the American Shale Revolution that fueled American energy independence, and transformed the global energy markets and geopolitics.” In remarks at a National Conservatism conference in 2021, Wright warned that ongoing attempts to shift from oil, coal, and gas to renewables are “the largest politically driven mis-investment ever,” that will increase energy costs and reduce reliability. Christian group opposes Matt Gaetz for Attorney General A conservative Christian legal group is opposing Present-elect Trump's nomination of Matt Gaetz to be the next Attorney General Liberty Counsel, headed by Mat Staver, released a statement in which they declared, “Matt Gaetz is neither morally nor professionally qualified to become the United States Attorney General. This is the highest law enforcement position in the country. America deserves much better. “Professionally, Matt Gaetz graduated from law school in 2007, and briefly worked for a law firm in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida before being elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2010. He served in that role until 2016, and was then elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2017. Gaetz has three years or less experience in the practice of law, hardly enough to serve as the nation's chief law enforcement officer.” In the statement, Liberty Counsel wrote, “Morally, Gaetz has been under a cloud of sex and drug allegations. On Wednesday, as soon as he was tapped by President-elect Donald Trump, Gaetz immediately resigned from Congress, thus ending the Ethics probe into his sex parties that includes allegations of paying an underage girl for sex. Gaetz will face tough questions during any confirmation hearing and will likely not be confirmed. His immediate resignation raises serious questions as it occurred just two days before the U.S. House Ethics Committee was scheduled to vote to release what is expected to be a damaging report.” Mike Pence opposes RFK Jr at HHS over abortion Former Vice President Mike Pence urged Senate Republicans on Friday to vote against Trump's nomination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, citing his views on abortion, reports the Christian Post. He said, "The Trump-Pence administration was unapologetically pro-life for our four years in office. There are hundreds of decisions made at HHS every day that either lead our nation toward a respect for life or away from it, and HHS under our administration always stood for life." Court upholds Indiana's ban on gender transition for minors A federal appeals court panel has upheld Indiana's ban on sex-change operations and hormone drugs for minors, including things like administering puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and cosmetic irreversible surgeries, reports The Christian Post. A three-judge panel of the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 Wednesday to reverse a lower court decision against Senate Enrolled Act 480, which passed in April 2023. Talk show host Dennis Prager seriously injured his back And finally, last Tuesday, conservative Jewish talk show host Dennis Prager seriously injured his back in a fall at his home, reports The Express Tribune. Prager, age 76, hosts a weekday show heard on 400 radio stations.  He is also the founder of PragerU, known for its short educational videos that promote conservative values on topics like economics and political science.  It is "the most viewed conservative video site in the world, with one billion views a year, more than half by people under the age of 35." Please pray for his full recovery. And send a get well card addressed to Dennis Prager, 15021 Ventura Blvd. #552. Sherman Oaks, CA 91403. James 5:14 says, “The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well." Why would a bacteria be considered life on Mars yet a heartbeat on earth not be considered life-- This is a question many pro-abortion advocates must answer because as this broadcast shows, even our vice president refuses to face the obvious ramifications of her support for abortion.--In the recent debate with J.D. Vance, Governor Tim Walz quoted Matthew 25-40 which mentions the least among us. By supporting abortion, he fails to realize the damage he's doing to, as Mat described them, -the least of the least.- This is a reference to the unborn in the womb- those who have no ability to speak or in any way defend themselves and are being brutally destroyed everyday.--This is happening in Minnesota where Walz is governor. Mat noted how Walz had a bill called the Reproductive Healthcare Bill that allows abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. There's the Born Alive Infants Protection Act that would protect children born alive after an abortion. That was repealed under his governorship. There's the law that no longer requires reporting of babies that are born alive. In other words you can have a birth, the baby is allowed to die, and no reporting of that death is necessary. Sadly, this activity is often denied, yet Walz is the governor that this has happened under. This should come as no surprise.

It's Thursday, September 5th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Sudanese conflict has displaced 8 million International Christian Concern reports the body of Christ continues to suffer in Sudan, Africa after civil war broke out in the country last year. The conflict has displaced over eight million civilians, including many religious minorities. Christians are a minority in the northeastern African country and have faced persecution for decades. Both sides in the civil war have targeted Christians through attacks on churches and even killing religious leaders.  The Tahir Institute for Middle East Policy noted, “Muslims who converted to Christianity continued to be prosecuted and tortured, even though the ‘crime' of apostasy officially no longer existed in the statute books.”   Sudan is ranked eighth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most dangerous to be a Christian.  14-year-old Georgia student killed 2 students and 2 teachers A 14-year-old student named Colt Gray opened fire at a Georgia high school and killed four people on Wednesday morning, sending students scrambling for shelter in their classrooms — and eventually to the football stadium — as officers swarmed the campus and parents raced to find out if their children were safe, reports the Associated Press. The dead were identified as two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School in Winder, about an hour's drive from Atlanta. At least nine other people — eight students and one teacher — were taken to hospitals with injuries. Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith became emotional as he spoke during the briefing. SMITH: “I never imagined that I would be speaking to the media in my career over something that happened today, the pure evil that happened today. “This hits home for me. I was born and raised here. I went to school in this school system. My kids go to this school system. I'm proud of this school system. “My heart hurts for these kids. My heart hurts for our community, but I want to make it very clear that hate will not prevail in this county. Love will prevail over what happened today.” The gunman is in custody. African Methodist Episcopal keeps ban against homosexual “marriage” The African Methodist Episcopal Church held its General Conference in Columbus, Ohio last month.  The historically-black denomination, also known as the AME Church, has districts in the U.S. and Africa.  At the recent conference, AME voted to keep its ban on faux homosexual marriage. In contrast, the United Methodist Church voted in favor of such vile passion relationships earlier this year. Since Roe overturned, attacks on pro-life centers have increased The U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade back in 2022. Since then, state governments have been increasing their attacks on pro-life groups. Daniel Schmid with Liberty Counsel told The Christian Post, “We saw attacks on pro-life centers significantly occur across the country after Dobbs, and now it has transitioned from criminals who are engaging in vandalism and threats to state efforts, government-backed efforts, to suppress the speech and views and sheer existence of the crisis pregnancy centers.” Pro-life groups are now having to fight for their free speech in states like New York and Massachusetts.  U.S. abortions are up Meanwhile, the number of abortions in the U.S. are up since the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The pro-abortion group Society of Family Planning released their latest data. The average number of abortions per month between January and March of this year was 98,990. Chemical abortions are on the rise through virtual visits, allowing doctors to ship abortion kill pills to other states. These so-called “telehealth abortions” averaged nearly 20,000 per month between January and March. In Matthew 15:19-20, Jesus reminds us, “For from the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, slander. These are the things that defile a person.” Kamala leads in Wisconsin and Michigan; Trump leads in Arizona CNN released a new poll of voters in six battleground states ahead of the presidential election. Vice President Kamala Harris leads in Wisconsin and Michigan. Former President Donald Trump leads in Arizona. The two candidates are nearly tied in Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. However, many voters are undecided. Fifteen percent of respondents across the battleground states said they have not firmly decided their choice for president. Americans are getting more isolated and lonely The Survey Center on American Life released a report on social isolation in the U.S. The report noted Americans are losing touch with their social networks as loneliness and isolation increase. Americans are generally not involved in social groups with the exception of religious ones. Religious organizations draw from both the less educated and the college-educated. Although, those with less education are becoming increasingly unattached.  Also, young adults are also becoming unattached from the church. Only 28% are members of a religious organization compared to 43% of seniors.  Thief steals kids' lemonade stand money And finally, two children from Virginia have become a national example of forgiveness, reports CBN News. Over the heat of summer, 10-year-old Rebecca Caldwell and her 8-year-old brother Joshua opened a lemonade stand in front of their house in Chesapeake.  Sadly, a man dropped by seemingly for a drink, only to make off with the children's earnings of $40.  As the story spread, the Caldwells used it as an opportunity to talk about forgiveness. REPORTER: “Why did you pray for the man who stole your money?” JOSHUA: “Because I wanted him to become a Christian.” Rebecca had this thought. REBECCA: “I just think it's better to forgive than to just to always be mad at the guy, because then you're just always going to think back on the day and be like, ‘Oh, I'm so mad at that guy.'” And their mother, Mrs. Caldwell, weighed in about the importance of forgiveness. MRS. CALDWELL: “We've talked a lot about forgiveness in our interviews, Some people have asked why we choose to forgive. If God can do all this through a lemonade stand, he can do it through anything. He can do the impossible. “We just want people to know that God forgave us. So, we can forgive other people.” In response, the community organized a lemonade event that raised over $6,000 for the kids.  The youngest of 7 siblings, Rebecca and Joshua are giving some to their eldest sibling to fund her missionary trip to Asia.  In Mark 11:25, Jesus said, “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, September 5th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Muslim jihadists pressure Pakistani Supreme Court to reverse course Fearing threats from Islamist jihadists, the Pakistani Supreme Court reversed a ruling that would have recognized religious freedom for sects of Islamic groups as well as Christians within the country, reports Morning Star News. Radical jihadists had placed a bounty of $36,000 on the head of a Pakistani Supreme Court justice. For the first time in history, the high court ordered a second review of a decision, resulting in the exclusion of certain paragraphs from the verdict including a reference to freedom of religion, and “asserting that the deleted portions cannot be cited as precedent in any judgment.” The Church of Pakistan President Bishop Azad Marshall told Morning Star News that, “We were not expecting the Supreme Court to capitulate to extremist forces in this manner. When the highest court of the country fails to protect the guarantees given by the constitution regarding religious freedom for all citizens irrespective of their faith affiliations, there is no hope left for any improvement in our situation.” Russia launched 100 missiles against Ukraine Russia's military launched a full-scale missile bombardment upon Ukraine yesterday, in one of the most widespread air attacks since the war began, reports The Associated Press. They shot over 100 missiles, targeting Kyiv, Odessa, and various other regions around the country. Among the dead, one British citizen, working for the Reuters news agency. Taliban in Afghanistan banning women from speaking in public With the disappearance of Christian influence in the world, ruthless dictatorships are imposing draconian rules upon the people in their respective nations.   The Taliban government introduced new rules on Afghans last week, banning women from speaking in public places, as well as requiring full coverage of face and body for women who traverse outside of the home. Cuba, Nigeria, and Venezuela violate citizens' rights Freedom House also reports that “The authoritarian regimes in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela regularly violate due process, including arresting perceived dissidents without warrants or based on spurious charges, denying detainees access to legal defense, arbitrarily delaying investigations and hearings, and subjecting detainees to prolonged pretrial detention.” But let us all remember what Jesus said in John 8:34-36. “Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.  Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Idaho National Guard purging Christian from positions of command The Idaho National Guard is moving to purge Christians from positions of command. This is now referred to as the “No Christians as Commanders Policy.”  Liberty Counsel is defending an infantry officer who shared his views opposing medical mutilation of gender-confused children on his private social media account. The Idaho Army National Guard removed the officer from command following the complaint of a subordinate senior enlisted man who claims to be homosexual.  The Guard then illegally pressured him to resign without benefit of any counsel or notice. Liberty Counsel has appealed the case to Idaho Republican Governor Brad Little, requested that he restore the officer's position, and reject the “No Christians as Commanders Policy” for the Idaho National Guard. Texas hospital fired whistleblower objecting to illegal trans minor surgeries A Texas hospital has fired a Christian employee who protested the administrating of gender-altering drugs and surgeries for gender-confused 10 to 17-year-old children.  Texas law actually forbids those transgender practices. The whistleblower, Vanessa Sivadge, shared her story and testified to alleged fraudulent use of Medicaid funds with Independent journalist, Christopher Rufo, and was subsequently fired on August 16th.     In keeping with its commitment to the mutilation of 10-year-old children, the Biden administration also sent two FBI agents to the nurse's home to intimidate the nurse who reported the irregularities going on at the hospital. Journalist Christopher Rufo featured the video of the FBI intimidation on his X account. Proverbs 29:27 describes this dynamic in these words: “An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous. And he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.” “The Forge” vs. “Deadpool & Wolverine” “The Forge,” the latest film from The Kendrick Brothers which dramatically depicts Christian discipleship, secured fifth place at the U.S box office over the weekend, bringing in $6.6 million in receipts. Watch the trailer and get tickets at www.TheForgeMovie.com. Meanwhile, the R-rated Deadpool and Wolverine remains in top place at the box office after five weeks. Americans are preferring raw movies with more cursing, swearing, and sex on the screen. Seventeen of the 20 top grossing R-rated movies were released in the 2000s. That compares to only one popular R-rated movie in the 1990s, and one popular R-rated movie in the 1980s.  New home inventory at highest level since 2009  In economic news, inventory for new homes in the U.S. market stands at the highest level since 2009 — just before the great recession of 2010. Sales of homes have sagged this summer.  So now, overall inventory levels are back up to 2020 levels. Babe Ruth baseball jersey sold for $24 million And finally, referred to as “the Mona Lisa” of sports memorabilia, a baseball jersey worn by Babe Ruth during the 1932 World Series has sold for over $24 million at auction. That made it the most expensive piece of sporting memorabilia ever sold.   Heritage's Director of Sports, Chris Ivy, called the jersey “the most significant piece of American sports memorabilia ever offered at auction.” Close  And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, August 27th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. It's Friday, August 2nd, A.D. 2024. This is The World View in 5 Minutes written by Kevin Swanson and heard at www.TheWorldView.com.  Filling in for Adam McManus I'm Ean Leppin. Liberty Counsel Represents Kim Davis Liberty Counsel is taking hits for representing Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis' religious liberty case at the 6th Circuit Court Appeals. At issue is the Liberty Counsel's challenge of the 2015 Obergefell decision and a potential reversal, in favor of religious liberty. Kim and her husband, as well as Liberty Counsel have been subjected to multiple, serious death threats. Liberty Counsel President Mat Staver released a statement Monday, noting that “Anyone who stands up to the hateful agenda of the LGBTQ Mafia is demonized. .   .. the LGBTQ left will not tolerate religious freedom and wants to destroy anyone who disagrees.” Biden Administration Announces Plea Deal with 9/11 Conspirators The Biden administration Department of Justice has announced a plea deal with alleged conspirators of the 9/11 attacks, which occurred 23 years ago. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Walid Bin ‘Attash, and Mustafa al Hawsawi will plead guilty to conspiracy and murder charges, but will not face the death penalty for the murders of 2,977 people on September 11, 2001. Senator JD Vance commenting on the deal told an audience yesterday, “"We need a president who kills terrorists, not negotiates with them.” And Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, called the decision “unthinkable” and a “slap in the face” for families of those murdered by the terrorists. God said, “Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man.” (Gen. 9:6) 60% of Americans Support Death Penalty 60% of Americans support the death penalty. There were 23 executions in the US last year down from 98 in 1999. The US Homicide rate has also increased since 2014, from 4.7 per 100,000, to 6.0 per 100,000 persons in 2023, which accounts for over 20,000 murders. Keep in mind, “The ruler is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.” Romans 13:4 20 Dead Over Venezuelan Protests Protests following the Venezuelan sham election over the weekend in which the communist dictator claimed victory - have resulted in 20 deaths, and 1,072 persons arrested by the regime, according to Effecto Cocuyo — an independent news source. The nation's prosecutor, Tarek William Saab has warned protestors, that they are facing up to 20-30 years in prison. A respected American polling organization, Edison Research, has issued its exit poll results for the Venezuelan election. Opposition candidate Edmundo González Urrutia of the Unitary Platform easily won by a margin of 65 to 31%. Younger (18-29 year old) voters were more likely to vote against the communist dictator, by a margin of 74% to 21%. Edison Research has been the sole provider of election data to the National Election Pool, consisting of ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and NBC News.  Also, AltaVista obtained results from about 1,000 polling stations, photographed them, analyzed them and then sent the results around the world. They also showed a landslide: 66 percent for González, 31 percent for Maduro. Debt in Africa Has Increased Substantially Africa's debt burden has increased substantially just since 2010. Reuters reports that Zambia, Ethiopia, and Ghana are now in default. And at least 20 African nations have taken on a heavy debt burden, as defined by the IMF, a condition that did not exist for these countries just 10 years ago.  Although, none of these nations are in as severe a condition as the United States - with a debt-to-GDP ratio — now at 122% up from 64% in 2008.  Japan, Sudan, Lebanon, and Greece have a higher debt-to-GDP ratio than the United States. “The debtor is servant to the lender.”  Proverbs 22:7. College Enrollment Dropping Undergraduate college enrollment has dropped another 852,000 students since 2019 - a 4.6% drop. Christain colleges are taking the hit.  A recent survey of 50 Christain colleges found 36 out of 50 Christian colleges had a net decrease in tuition income over the last 5 years, as reported by wng.org.  The college bubble has pretty much burst. . .In Minnesota, only 57% of high school graduates signed up for college on graduation, in 2022. That's down from 82% in 2011. Chik-fil-A Worker Fends off Armed Robber An armed robber broke into an Atlanta Chik Fil A last month, levelled a gun at employee Kevin Blair. . . and told him he was going to die if he didn't open the restaurant safe. By God's mercies, Blair fought off the armed robber for several harrowing minutes — in a desperate fight for his life, finally pushing him out the door of the restaurant. Blair talked about the struggle in an interview with WXIA TV — BLAIR: “I broke his glasses. I put my thumb into his eye.  He hit me several times.” WXIA TV ANNOUNCER: “Fighting off the intruder, the whole time thinking: BLAIR: “I want to see my kids.  That's really it.  Get through this.  Go see my kids.”  Police have arrested suspect Tommie Lee Williams in connection with the assault. Mat Staver is founder - chairman of Liberty Counsel. Mat is a constitutional attorney with three landmark cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He's an author and the host of the radio broadcasts Faith - Freedom and Freedom's Call.--It is Christians that are often accused of hate for simply agreeing with the Bible that the practices espoused by the LGBTQ movement are an abomination to God. To put it another way, such individuals sometimes accuse Christians of projecting hate when in reality, they are the ones that are guilty of such behavior.--The latest example is the extreme hate being shown Kim Davis through threats of physical violence, rape, death and arson. Kim is a retired Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk who several years ago boldly refused to violate her conscience when confronted with having to issue a marriage license to people of the same sex. --Upon asking for a religious accommodation, Kim was sued and ended up in jail for six days which brought her international attention. She eventually did receive her religious accommodation from then Governor Mat Bevin, but the ACLU continued to press forward and now she has a judgment against her for -360,000.--The reason Kim's case is catching so much media attention once again is because this case could be the one to overturn the 2015 Obergefell decision. Mat explains why and how this is causing not only Kim, but Liberty Counsel to be under threat of violence for daring to represent Davis in this battle and help her stand up for her constitutional rights.

Mat Staver is founder & chairman of Liberty Counsel. Mat is a constitutional attorney with three landmark cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He's an author and the host of the radio broadcasts Faith & Freedom and Freedom's Call.Yesterday, President Biden succumbed to pressure from within his own party to withdraw from receiving the Democratic nomination for president. As early as November of last year, while debating during his own run for president, then candidate Vivek Ramaswamy asked the Democrats to, "End this farce that Joe Biden is going to be your nominee. We know he's not even the president of the United States. He's a puppet for the managerial class."Jim then communicated his thoughts when he described things this way. He said "...a coup was launched within his own party to pull the rug from underneath him (Biden)."Given Biden's cognitive condition and decline, Mat communicated that the president was a puppet of people who have been moving the strings of a man they knew wasn't competent to run the U.S. As a result, he made a fool of us both domestically and internationally. In fact, he believes it looked like elder abuse. Why hasn't President Biden addressed the nation on TV about his stepping down from the Democratic nomination? There hasn't even been a press conference. This is especially troubling given the fact that we're told his COVID symptoms are minor. So where exactly is President Joe Biden? Since we don't know, who's running America? If he's not competent/capable of running for president, how can he be capable of being the president right now? In other words, should he immediately resign and step down?
