The West Clare Cancer Centre Mini Marathon is looming large on the horizon. The annual fundraiser for the Kilkee-based West Clare Cancer Centre usually takes place at the end of January. However, this year's event, marking its 27th anniversary, has been postponed slightly until the 2nd of February. To discuss this further, Alan Morrissey was joined by the chairman of WCCC, Willie McGrath. It's Rock and Roll Literacy Month at RushRash with the next up in our author-related series, Chaz N Schatz connect with epic rock and roll commentator, podcast host and expert talking head from the Van Halen News Desk, Eric Senich. "Chaz and AJ" visit with the man behind the VHND...he's a news curator, and he also hosts the podcast Booked on Rock. From sports writing to college radio to a "Prestige gig" as Fletch on overnight radio at WCCC in New Haven, we get the inside scoop on the man many know only for his encyclopedic knowledge of Van Halen. And given our hosts' penchant for all things EVH, the conversation takes many subdivisions along the way. Join our hosts as they dive in on tidbits so juicy, Schatz needs a DudeWipe to recover. Join us as we get the DL on... - His path to a radio career that started with Hogan's Heroes' Bob Crane and ended up with him being paid “big money” to sit on his ass all day on WCCC in CT. - Introducing Collective Soul to 3,000 fans live in person. - Becoming the curator of VHND.com – the Van Halen News Desk. - The physical toll of reading up to 3 books a week, keeping a full-time job, taking care of VHND.com, and producing his podcast. - Meeting David Lee Roth, Jack White, linking pinkies and stealing DLR's unfinished bottle of Jack Daniels in a crazy NYC night. - The conspiracy behind VHND's “coverage” of Alex Van Halen's new book and the breaking news scoop on the reason the drumming doesn't exactly sound like AVH on Van Halen III. - Mike Post's inability to produce a sober guitar virtuoso and his lack of knowledge regarding the ranking of the world's top 3 rock drummers…but we digress. - Daryl Hall's really big hair and how it's getting in the way of John Oats' ability to keep his music out of porn. - The behind-the-scenes connection between Van Halen and Rush and someone's brother-in-law. - Meeting rockstars, taking deep dives in discussions with authors, taking quotes from David Lee Roth and living a life of rock and roll podcaster. - And how to get 20% off a balls shave at manscape.com with an exclusive code!! The conversation is as diverse as Eric's background, with so much ground covered we needed a breadtrail to find our way back to Rush, but we did it, and the wheel rewarded our hard work by delivering YYZ, our first track of the epic album Moving Pictures from 1981. We name-drop all our usual suspects from rushvault.com, rushisaband.com and of course our wondiferous sponsor, Danforth & Pape. This is a conversation for the record books, and a primary reason RushRash is at home on the Deep Dive Podcast Network! It may have been a long episode, but we made it longer by including Schatz's Scratch List - go scratch with these bands live! METALLICA! The second greatest rock band EVER! Whose number one, ummmmm Led Zeppelin. FACT!!!!!! As with Cornell, I was supposed to interview Lars. And to my delight, Papa Het walked in the room. We started a little rough, but once he realized I was a fan, the whole thing changed. What was supposed to be 10 ,imuts turned into about twenty. He even did ID's for the entire air staff, and he loved doing the open's for Metallica Alphabetica!!!!!!! Thats where we played every single Metallica song in alphabetical order. He thought WCCC was the greatest radio station he had ever heard of. And he was right..........
Here I am thinking I am going to interview Tom Morello (Or as I referred to him as Tommy and I was brought to task by is lead singer.), Audioslave was playing at WCCC's anniversary show, and in walks Chris Cornell. Every female within a ten foot radius melted. And a few of the guys did as well. Damn he was a good looking dude! Smart and funny too! I was nervous because I had to think of questions of him on the fly, but I think it worked out. I had heard he was difficult to interview, but he was not that day, and he remains one of my favorites. Talent above all. He is missed. Rest In Peace MR. Cornell.........

May you and yours be healthy and safe. Thank you for your support, not only subscribing and checking out this podcast, but THANK YOU for all the support over the years on terrestrial radio at “The Rock 106.9 WCCC” and on the web, at iRockRadio.com “The World Headquarters Of Rock”. No me if not for YOU!!!!!!! So in this the last recorded episode of any broadcast, from my manor, my home for over 23 years. The Ensemble 4 3. The addy of my home. Or old home. You know it hasn't really sunk in until I stood and recorded this. I will admit that the emotion at times got the better of me. Especially when I mentioned the love of my life. So Inside Wayne Manor with Stephen Wayne and Friends, The Ensemble 4 3, is a tribute to that brick house. (Mighty mighty just letting it all hang out……). I will share some musical memories of some of the artists that got a lot of play in The Manor, Buckethead stops by to pay his respects, Studio Guy's voice echos through the halls once more, and my brother Beav from @spinningunrestmusic gives us the last High Five From The Hive from 06111. A fitting tribute to a home. May the new inhabitants have as much fun at 4 3 as I have had. (I don't think it's possible but it's fun trying!). Goodbye 4 3, you truly are Wayne Manor!!!!!!!!! SDub

Tyrone Miller served in the Navy for six years, spent over 40 years at Ford, taught at WCCC and has done independent HVAC contracting work. He talks about the importance of education, leveraging your experience in your career, loving what you do, finding a good fit between you and your career, always focusing on the customer, knowing how to deal with change and being a savvy business person. A tall order but a lot of great content and suggestions for how to be successful and he is still plugging away at 75. Hope you enjoy listening to him.
First off, I always wish upon to you and your family, health and safety. And above all happiness. I like to think that music does truly save. And at times like this, I don't think it, I believe it. Music has given us an escape. And putting together these podcasts with you has helped me get through this, and hopefully you feel the same sense when you listen to it. I just want to thank you for this. This is not how or what this podcast was intended for, but we have made it fun!!!! OK. Back in the day on “The Rock” 106.9 WCCC we had, "Wayne Manor Cutting You Deeper” so here we are updating it to “The Ensemble Part DEEP”. The special feature was put together because I would get into to trouble for being a music fan. And not being a radio honk. And being tired of playing the same old, same old. So I would go a cut deeper on a great album, from a successful band. Make sense? Sometimes not to my bosses. So here we are. I'm letting you tell me to go deep!!!!! I put this topic out on social media, “I know you have heard your favorite band on the radio and said, “Thats a great song but why don't they play……..?????”” And you cut it up and went deep!!!!!!!! LOL…. Again, I repeat, no one, I mean, NO ONE matches your musical taste or knowledge and it shows in this podcast, yet again. YOU = MUSIC!!!!! So this podcast belongs to you because it was created by YOU!!!!. And I thank you, for subscribing and even if you just give it a listen. Ok, more Star Wars. Is it just me or is Rey hot? And she can run fast!!!!! Stay safe, and “Music Saves”…… Peace m/ SDub
Hello It's Stephen Wayne, formerly from the iconic "The Rock" 106.9 WCCC and currently on iRock Radio "The World Headquarters Of Rock", here to really see if the demand is out there for another podcast! Wayne Manor was a radio show that I did for close to a decade, that I was very proud of. And our listeners loved it and still talk about to this day to me. So I figured I would share some stories from the past, older interviews, new interviews, and some of your favorite songs and their stories. And yours as well. And even let you ask questions and request's. Also I am going to begin to travel across the country. Leaving Connecticut and heading to California, and want to take you along for the journey. Meeting new friends, and chatting with them. Celebrities, Curators, and anyone who is willing to talk to me that may be interesting. And a whole lot more. And we will play some music. But for now let me know what you think. Get a hold of me on all of my social media platforms and let me know if this is something you would be interested in, and if you would check it out. As always I thank you, for not only listening now, but maybe in the future as well....... Stephen Wayne

Listen closely for the #fivepointphrase and stick around for a tune from Springfield's Fear Nuttin Band.
BREAD & MILK!! BREAD & MILK!!!! BREAD & MILK!!!!!!! Listen in and warm your ears as Goldberg and trivia host Matt K. broadcast live from the BRE Studio during the 1/4/18 snowstorm that hit New England. Part 5 of 5 in Pastor Reginald Ezell's Iniquity Versus Legacy Series.
Alex sits down with the voice of The Rock 106.9 WCCC and iRockRadio, Mike Karolyi. It’s been a very eventful couple of years for Karolyi and the beloved station. From being pressured to adopt a classic rock format in 2013, getting bought out by a Christian station in August of 2014 with one final major broadcast and the revival in December of 2014 with iRockRadio, a worldwide internet radio station with an accompanying app. The former FM station made a heroic comeback with the authentic format featuring bands such as Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Sevendust, as well as playing new bands and singles daily. Karolyi takes time to reflect on the past year and a half of iRockRadio and what the reaction and support from listeners and musicians has meant to him. The future for iRockRadio is so bright, you’ll have to pull out a pair of shades!
