In her own words"Hi! I'm Suzanne. I'm an actress and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. My first directorial effort, short film Christmas Eve Eve: Or The Things I Can't Remember (which I also wrote and star in) recently played at a number of festivals including the 2021 Mill Valley Film Festival. You can watch it here on the platform Omeleto, one of the best hubs for high-quality short films on the internet. Currently, I'm producing my first feature film Every Man For Himself, directed by Gary Gardner and starring Daniel Sharman and Nicholas Logan, which is now in post production. As an actress you might have seen me in HBO's Silicon Valley as Fiona, an AI robot who infiltrates the Pied Piper gang. Or maybe in the NBC TV show Blindspot, or the films Ricki and the Flash (dir. by Jonathan Demme), and Obvious Child (dir. by Gillian Robespierre). Recently, I starred in the hit web series, I AM YOU, which has nearly a million views and was produced by Rizzle Studios. I was honored with a best actress award for my work on the show by The International Academy of Web Television.A Kentucky native, I received my BA in Theatre from Davidson College in North Carolina. I've spent time studying abroad with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the British American Drama Academy in London. In NYC, I've studied improv comedy and sketch writing with the Upright Citizens Brigade and scene study with renowned actress Maria Dizzia at The Freeman Studio. I'm happy you're here!" Brandon Ravet is an award-winning writer/director. Today we discuss the loss of his dad to suicide, and what it's like supervising the Crisis Line at the Suicide Prevention Center. "In 2015 I lost my dad to suicide. He never left a note or gave me a chance to say goodbye. Until that moment I had lived a sheltered life. The only family members I had lost were my elderly grandparents. Tragedy was something I had only seen in movies. In 2018 a friend urged me to volunteer with him at the Suicide Prevention Center. After volunteering once a week for two years, I became a Supervisor. Now I train and mentor new Crisis Counselors. Dealing with loss, grief, pain, suffering, mental illness, and suicide has become my new comfort zone. So has love, empathy, and hope." -Brandon Ravet After graduating from Chapman Film School, Ravet wrote and directed multiple episodes of the sports documentary series Who Made You?, including two one-hour TV specials for CBS starring sports icons such as Tiger, Jordan, Shaq, and Kobe. Ravet has written, produced, and directed several acclaimed web series (International Academy of Web Television for Best Director), and is the creator of The Text Committee, Facebook's first original short-form scripted series. I just caught up with Award Winning and very talented actor, Matt Hamilton. Matt will be in the new Disney+ reboot of the classic 1989 comedy feature with Tom Hanks, Turner & Hooch as Trent Havelock, a Senior Deputy Marshal to Scott Turner (played by Josh Peck). The only thing "Trent" loves more, is to chase down bad guys and take all the credit, especially publicly He loves the attention, fame, glory and everything that comes with it, but the one thing he isn't a fan of is, dogs. Turner & Hooch is an hour long 12 episode order centered around "Scott Turner," his new surroundings and the new dog he inherits as a big unruly dog. He soon realized the dog he didn't want might be the partner he actually needs. Turner and Hooch not only stars Matt, along side Josh Peck, Lyndy Fonseca, Carra Petterson, Anthony Ruivivar, to name a few. The series hails from writer/executive producer Matt Nix from Burn Notice and Disney-owned Studio 20th Century Fox TV. Turner & Hooch is set to premiere July 16th, 2021.
